Review for Center for Biological Diversity Inc, Tucson, AZ, USA

Rating: 5 stars

This is the one non-profit that I consistently support because they are on the front lines saving endangered species and they get results! While there are many important environmental organizations doing great work, the Center for Biological Diversity are out there making things happen, and not just in far off localities.

I live in Colorado Springs where a rare species of greenback cutthroat trout was proven to be a unique species. The area is now managed differently with cars banned from the dirt road along the stream. This has cut down on the dust, erosion and gravel that had previously negatively impacted the stream and the trout.

I give this group my highest rating and hope they can continue their important work until that day, far into the future, when they have worked themselves out of a job. For the foreseeable future however, we need this group more than ever!

As a life long naturalist, I get dozens of emails asking for donations on worthy environmental causes. The only gift I give, and I give a small monthly amount, is the Center for Biological Diversity. They are on the front lines, saving species and have an incredible record of victories in cases they bring before the courts. Their success rate I believe is close to 90% which means for small donors like myself I feel like I'm really helping make a difference!
