Review for Center for Biological Diversity Inc, Tucson, AZ, USA
The Center for Biological Diversity does a fantastic job of working to protect both animal and plant life. They excel at keeping supporters and the public aware of critical issues, offer convenient ways to voice my opinion to decision makers and legislators, and are prudent fiscal stewards of their funds. You simply couldn't find a better conservation or environmental organization to support and put your faith in. And the fotos they publish are inspirational and outstanding.
Review for GREY2K USA Worldwide, Arlington, MA, USA
I have been consistently impressed with the work and integrity of Grey2K USA. As an organization, they seem totally motivated by the desire to protect greyhounds used by the racing industry from cruelty, abuse, and neglect. They have exposed some of the cruelties and abuses inherent in the training regimens, and also documented the inadequacies and neglect in care provided to these gentle and intelligent creatures.
I am confident that any money I have donated to Grey2K USA is being used in an upright and honest way, and can only applaud them for the wonderful, compassionate and humane work they are doing to help these poor canine victims of the racing trade. It is beyond question, that the supporters of greyhound racing and the owners of tracks and kennels are motivated solely by profit and greed, with little or no interest in protecting their dogs beyond ensuring a steady supply of new victims to exploit. Kudos to Grey2K USA for exposing them, and working to eliminate and/or moderate their abuses.

Review for Gentle Giants Draft Horse Rescue Society Ltd, Mount Airy, MD, USA
This is a fantastic rescue organization. They buy "used up" draft horses at "kill auctions" (where horses are sold for their meat, to be used as either human food in Europe and Japan, or for pet food in the US and Canada), and provide them a comfortable, safe sanctuary to live out their natural lives. These dignified animals are no longer able to work, but after years of serving their human owners, they certainly deserve better than the slaughterhouse. Their stories are heart-breaking, but even a small donation can help rescue one more soul.

Review for Center for Biological Diversity Inc, Tucson, AZ, USA
The Center for Biological Diversity is a truly outstanding organization. They advocate for those critters and places that cannot speak for themselves, and do it in an unusually practical, hands-on way. They collaborate with other NGO groups when appropriate, and are always suggesting very practical and easy ways for supporters to contribute their efforts, energy, and as resources allow, their funds. I especially like their e-newsletters, which are always filled with great news items, vignettes, and pictures.
They certainly deserve to be awarded your prize this month, and I ask that you give them top consideration.
Thank you.

drawing increased attention of the public to serious problems coming from unchecked climate change
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
nothing, really - I think they're doing a great and much needed job.
