As an ecologist and environmental attorney, I am well aware of the myriad crises our planet is facing as we cross the threshold of 8 billion human beings. The Center for Biological Diversity is doing the necessary and difficult work to address these challenges head on, and they are good at it. The combination of law, science and story-telling galvanizes action by often timid government agencies, voluntarily or not. I recently made the decision to increase my monthly giving to join their Leadership Circle because I wholeheartedly believe in the effectiveness of their work. Please join me in supporting this worthy nonprofit- you won't regret it and you just may sleep better at night knowing you are part of this fight.

I give to several environmental charities but this is the organization I feel the best about supporting. Their work is impactful and they are not afraid to sue when necessary to enforce our critical environmental laws. As an environmental attorney, I appreciate the level of expertise they bring to the table as well as the breadth and depth of the issues they cover.
