The Center for Biological Diversity has been in the fight to protect endangered species for over thirty years, and has used the courts effectively in this endeavor. It also realizes the connection between racial justice and environmental justice, and works to promote both. I've been a monthly donor to the Center for about 10 years.

The Center for Biological Diversity is working to protect the biosphere. That means all endangered forms of life, not just the cute or attractive ones. The danger comes from human activity, and the center is fearless and effective in taking on corporate wrongdoing and government complacency in this regard. In addition, they are one of the few environmental groups to emphasize the link between human overpopulation and degradation of the biosphere.

They don't take corporate money, and therefore are not compromised, as are other environmental groups, including the Sierra Club. Kudos.
