AAVS brings the horrors and wasteful spending on useless experiments to the forefront.

Review for Posh Pets Rescue Inc, New York, NY, USA

Rating: 1 stars

Linda Vetrano has got to be the nastiest and rudest person I've met in my adult life and would benefit on taking an anger management course and working on her people skills which she so clearly lacks. The rescue may be about saving animals, but she often forgets that volunteers and fosters are the backbone of a rescue group, and she will often take it out on the very people who are trying to help. Several people(including her own volunteers!) have told me that they felt under appreciated, taken advantage of, and fronted many of the costs the rescue is supposed to provide. Anyone I ever asked after Linda says the same thing, "she's not a nice person" and had similar negative experiences similar to my own. She somehow makes money off of many of these dogs she pulls out of the shelters and passes the cost on to the adopters. I've spoken with several people who adopted their dogs from Posh Pets and are left with a sour experience. One source told me that she pulls many dogs out of the AC&C and puts them in a shelter in upstate NY which she calls "the boarding facility". I cannot confirm this but I feel it should be looked into and questioned. She gives women in animal rescue a bad name. LInda also seems to be gleaming her second in command to behave just as reprehensibly as she does. There are many wonderful NY rescue groups; sadly Posh is not one of them and in the end, it's the animals that suffer at their expense.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

send Linda to behavior modification classes.
