Review for Center for Biological Diversity Inc, Tucson, AZ, USA
This organization has consistently operated with the fullest integrity in all the ways that transparency, accountability, campaign efficacy and ties to community needs can be measured.
The staff is spread across offices throughout the United States to respond to local concerns while staying in command of the issues that affect wildlife, plants, invertebrates and public lands at the national level.
Times are challenging and there are many worthy non-profits to which one can make a donation. The Center for Biological Diversity has the most incredible team of attorneys, scientists, program directors and other specialists with the exceptional skill sets to advocate on behalf of imperiled species and threatened public lands while allowing community engagement at whatever level of participation one chooses. I have a special place in my heart for wolves and cetaceans, butterflies, trees and public lands. This organization really does it all. I had to take a moment today to share how much faith I put in the meaningful work that the Center for Biological Diversity does. I am grateful for every single staff member who plays a role in making this a truly great non-profit that has earned my trust because it consistently delivers when and where it matters.

Review for Friends of the Earth, Washington, DC, USA
Friends of the Earth has been a vital part of several initiatives in my area as well as litigation to advocate for the most vulnerable of wildlife species and the environment.
There is always a greater impact when several organizations come together for a cause and seeing Friends of the Earth behind advocacy work that fights trophy hunting, the unjustified targeting of wolves and the near-extinction of pollinators among other important actions tells me that this non-profit knows what needs to be done and puts forth strenuous and targeted efforts in aligning itself on the side of justice and on behalf of the Earth and its natural inhabitants.
Review for American Bird Conservancy, Marshall , VA, USA
The welfare of wildlife has been a lifelong priority of mine. Clearly, donating to every single organization dedicated to the advocacy of wildlife is simply not feasible. I have had to be selective and in my search for my top three, the American Bird Conservancy is among them.
The staff members with whom I have interacted are simply unparalleled in their commitment to their area of expertise and their knowledge base is beyond stellar. I am particularly impressed with the work of Rob Anderson in Development and the inimitable Grant Sizemore who spearheads the Invasive Species Program. Rob is creative and driven. His communication style is open and engaging which is critical to his effectiveness in his department. Grant is innovative in his approach and identifies unique opportunities to deliver critical messages to the public about an issue that is alarming and yet sensitive. He has done wonders with the Cats Indoors campaign. This is a commendable feat because if a message is conveyed without just the right tone, balancing the urgent need for action while not putting audiences on the defensive, a campaign could misfire or fail. Grant will always have my admiration because he is able to successfully navigate that delicate balance, always delivering highly compelling copy and memorable messages that spur action and that create awareness. People will always need to be educated about the benefits of keeping cats indoors---not only for the birds we love but for the welfare of the cats themselves as well as the protection of human health.
The American Bird Conservancy is an organization that uses its funding resourcefully. I am truly grateful for the work that comes out of this truly great nonprofit.
