Avoid this organization at all cost! It's primarily a federal fund grant based organization which makes it unstable to begin with especially if it appears the federal grant funds will decrease. They typically have mass terminations and corporate restructuring every 3 years usually by choice thinking the federal grant funding might decrease. They are such an unstable organization all the Seattle temporary employment agencies know this organization by name as they wait for the next mass terminations or restructuring to occur. There is an army of ex-employees terminated without cause that can tell their own story about this organization. The only way to survive an organization as cruel as this one is to always be looking for another job while working here so you leave them before you get laid off for no reason at all.

The training and community I found at Freehold truly changed my life. My heart was opened, my imagination inspired, and I learned valuable skills. I also made deep and lasting friendships.

This Non-Profit does great work, especially its project with incarcerated women, bringing their stories to light, and light to their future.

ADWAS is an amazing organization in the Seattle area providing very comprehensive services to Deaf survivors of DV and SA. I used their services from 2018-2023 when I was in my own DV situation, and my life was completely transformed.

I have served on this organizations's board, and my organization is currently in a contracting relationship with WSCADV. WSCADV operates with high integrity in all of it work. Their finances are tightly managed and transparent. I believe the organization is truly in tune with its members. WSCADV is very committed to the future of the domestic violence movement and has been thinking ahead for years. Other State coalitions look to WSCADV as a leader and example.

The Director is a terrible power-hungry man that has no business running a nonprofit as he does not care about the people in the community he serves in my opinion. The president Joe is a really amazing human I just wish that his philosophies and work ethic were mirrored in the person that actually does the day-to-day running of this organization. The Director is a cruel person from my personal experience.

I joined the board of Powerful Voices this year and have been continually impressed with the commitment, professionalism and discipline of the executive director, Jane Hinton. I have also had the chance to meet PV staff and girls and young women served by the organization a the recent Girlvolution event, a girl-organized and run 1 day conference on issues important to girls and women. I attended a workshop on preventing bullying and LGBTQ issues. Both were girl-run. I found the workshops thought provoking and well organized. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve this organization that is helping build strong, healthy girls who will become strong, healthy women.
