child welfare: in the state of washington, lcsnw is licensed as a child placing agency. The agency provides private agency foster care, treatment foster care and permanency planning foster care. Lcsnw also operates a refugee foster care program for unaccompanied minors. In addition, lcsnw offers services that help stabilize families and prevent out of home placements. These include wraparound services, outreach, child abuse prevention and reunification services. Over 600 children were served this year.
immigration and refugee services: lcsnw provides both immigration and refugee resettlement services, serving over 9,600 individuals. Services are focused on helping immigrants and refugees transition successfully into their new communities. Services are provided in multiple languages and include english as a second language, citizenship classes, health education, case management and housing assistance.
Volunteer Programs from such as Senior Friends and Senior Companions, which are a part of Corporation for National and Community Service. The goal of the program is to provide valuable volunteer opportunities to seniors and other individuals, while providing companionship and support services to individuals in need, allowing them to live more independently. Specific services may include transportation to medical appointments and essential shopping.
