BTO is so much more than an after-school program. It allows the youth to connect with peers, mentors, and themselves! The inclusive environment they create ensures every teen feels supported and valued. Activities offered include academic support, such as tutoring; recreational programs like sports, art, games, volunteer opportunities; and mental health services. BTO also gives back to the community through various ways including a free take-what-you-need pantry located directly outside. It truly is a one-stop shop for all needs.

I can’t say enough about how essential this organization is. When I got the heartbreaking diagnosis about our son, the world felt like it was spiraling out of control. I was suddenly faced with a mountain of decisions that no parent should need to make. The options all seemed impossible for me to survive. Thanks to the bereavements doulas I did not have to face this time alone.<br><br>When it came to the birth and the process of making memories, thanks to Sara, I have no regrets. She was with me in the hospital. After giving birth, she held my son and took beautiful photos of him so that I could rest. She took such time and care when I was utterly heartbroken. I am forever grateful.

Absolutely amazing place! I'm a lifelong therapy person, been going here for maybe a year and absolutely LOVE it!

Wesley Family Services recently determined that a child involved in an extremely contentious custody case NOT receive counseling despite a PCP recommendation that the child would benefit from counseling BOTH before and after they completed their assessment. The assessment was done by a therapist and her supervisor. <br> <br>There are MANY concerning issues in this case that were not accurately reported in the assessment. <br> <br>The father has a now adult daughter who was cutting, engaged in delinquency, drug use and was even reported by the news as missing. There are allegations that he coerced her into sleeping in bed with him as a child. Father is now doing the same thing to the subject child in this case and despite the supervisor admitting to mom that the child admitted to her that he disclosed sleeping in Father’s bed “with the dog” they still refuse to provide services to the child. <br> <br>Father is into questionable images and has “couple pics” of 6 and 7 year old children on HIS bedroom mirror. Apparently Wesley Family Services thinks this is ok as they were shown these photos as well. <br> <br>Interestingly, there were blatant lies told by the custody evaluator and GAL during the custody proceedings. They reported that there were no safety concerns in Father’s home. It has since been proven that there is BLACK MOLD and also another TOXIC mold present that the child has been proven to be allergic to. <br> <br>Mother provided dated photos of the child’s bloody toenails that he chews as well as photos of him clearly showing anxiety in the meat section of a grocery store. <br> <br>The child drew the attached drawing soon after Father listed him as a witness in his pretrial statement and he was stuttering. He told Mom that his Father was acting like his former, married girlfriend who has been on Suboxone for years and whose own son filed a PFA against her. Mom asked the child what he meant by that and if it would be easier to draw since he was having a hard time verbalizing what happened. <br> <br>The assessment reflects many inaccuracies regarding what Mom reported. Apparently the therapist wasn’t even listening and is clearly incompetent. <br> <br>The Father is so resistant to transparency that he filed a “private dependency petition” and asked the state to take custody of the child shortly after Mom’s custody was restored. (He gave the child his inhaler on the way to a Pulmonary Function Test in order to skew the results.) <br> <br>Wesley family services “brokers” aka pimps out foster parents and makes a considerable amount of money doing so. Custody evaluators are the linchpins that courts rely on when terminating parental rights. When that happens a lot of money changes hands due to title IV funding and adoption incentives. <br> <br>Recently a Termination of Parental Rights appeal became public and the specific evaluator who ignored allegations of abuse in this particular case worked on that case with a representative from Wesley Family Services. <br> <br>It wouldn’t look too good for the custody evaluator if previously ignored allegations of abuse were to come to light now would it? <br> <br>Not only is Wesley Family Services incompetent it appears that they are possibly corrupt as well.

My son has been in the Music Therapy since he was 1 year old (he is sixteen now) and I can't state of wonderful the program is. He has learned to play both the piano and guitar there and I can tell he really enjoys both the program and the teachers. Being able to perform at the yearly music recital brings him great joy and pride.<br><br>I can't recommend this place enough!!!

Child abuse prevention and treatment is this organization's mission and expertise. I have personally witnessed traumatized children, and adults who were traumatized as children, transform their lives from being victims to restoring meaning and love in their lives.

Project Employ is a program offered to adults through Bethlehem Haven. The two opportunities through Project Employ is, 'a Life Skills program for individuals not yet ready or able to work, and a Professional Development program for individuals whose goal is permanent employment.' The program helps adults find meaningful work in the area they would like to work which is incredibly valuable for our region. Also, the participants find a source of pride in the amazing work they do. The staff is incredibly small for Bethlehem Haven, let alone Project Employ. However, the dedication of the staff is apparent in all that they do.

this place sucks on new Hampshire drive lower burrell. Workers are ruid and don't care that they block my driveway. Going to the state. This state home should be in a State HOME <br> <br> <br>Yes, they should count this as a waste of taxpayers money. Going to Governor Corbett.

Pressley might be all about families, but they aren't all about their employees. Totally intolerant of mistakes, you get fired.

This facility was the worst, racist place I've ever been to in my life. If you're white you WILL have issues w staff. They put me OUT ON THE CURB WITH A DAY OLD BABY!! I had a cellphone in the facility which was a rule not to, but I was in an abusive relationship n my sons father FORCED ME TO so he could keep track of me. Do you think they asked me this, NO. They put me and my day old son out on the curb, all our things in trash bags. I just sat there n cried as the staff chuckled. How cruel! I had to go to the Women's Center. They actually helped me & my son. I got on my feet w their help. I have NO IDEA what I would have done if they didn't come and take us there. Those staff members were IN SHOCK they kicked me out w a day old baby. I was still so sick & I needed help. Cold-hearted, rude, ignorant staff & management that only care about money. They WANT YOU to mess up so they can charge your insurance full rate /time whether they kick you out or not, so NOBODY passes or "graduates " their course. They can double up on insurance kicking you out n having another girl take your place...THEN they find something about that girl n get her out just to keep filling spots n doubling up on insurance. I knew NOBODY that graduated when I was there and ppl got kicked out over anything. Dont give these ppl a damn dime

LEAD Pittsburgh is a great organization with a great vision in mental health. I have been involved with LEAD as a supporter and participant. I gave a public speech for their previous Coffee and Connect series in 2018 and was honored to be a part of such an amazing cause. Please consider supporting LEAD Pittsburgh!

My child was threatening suicide. My other child was cutting. I didn't know where to turn for help. Thankfully, a friend recommended Anchorpoint (formerly North Hills Youth Ministry). Everyone in my family has benefited from their EXCELLENT counseling services. They also offer tutoring services, group support, and other services. You will not be turned away if you can't afford the fee or don't have insurance. They will work with you.

NCA is one of the premiere non-profit agencies serving the underserved in the Northside area of Pgh. They are hard-working professionals who go above and beyond the call of duty (9am-5pm), they are "there" for their clients. The executive director, Carol Washington, rolls up her sleeves and works right along side with her exceptional staff. Mrs. Washington and her caring staff, eat, sleep and breath "advocacy" for the populations they serve.

PAAR offers a wide range of services, outlets and resources to assist survivors of sexual assault with the healing process. The staff of the organization is informed, genuine and devoted to its mission.

At the age of 38, my brother (with Downs Syndrome) was fortunate to become involved with Milestone. He had lived with family until that time and spent literally no time in the community. Milestone was (and continues to be) encouraging to family members, extremely supportive of our brother and has facilitated a whole new life for him. He resides in one of Milestone's supported residences, attends a daily activity center, also operated by the 'agency' and in general ... has thrived in the 13 years he has been involved with Milestone. They are an outstanding organization... a blessing for clients and their families, and the community at large.
