We found you a couple yrs ago for our oldest Son and decided to take a Chance and apply for a gift Card for Walmart for our Son! This amazing program Came through and then some for my Sweet little boy with Autism! They made Christmas both possible and magical that year! I was so thankful for this group and now even more so as we have applied every year since and have applied for both our Sons and for both the iPad and gift card program and I have to say this amazing group of ppl go above and beyond for the Autism Community and it's families! I cant thank them enough or say enough nice about this wonderful Resource for autism families! So much dedication and joy brought to all the families they have helped out! ������

I want to let everyone know that the Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation is such a huge help to families. I am a single mom with 2 children with autism and thanks to their holiday program I will be able to give my son's a Christmas. My older son was so excited when he received his ipad yesterday! He no longer has to share one with his younger brother who uses the ipad everyday given his complex needs. Given their needs, I have not been able to work with covid and virtual schooling. They truly have the children's best interest at heart and understand the challenges and their needs. Please support them so they can continue to do their amazing work. This organization has been so helpful to us since my son was diagnosed with autism last year. We have been overwhelmed by therapy costs, so when we received a 3 month scholarship for swim lessons it was such a blessing. I work at a Special Needs school in Monroe GA. We have summer camps every year (except during COVID) and there are some families at our school who would not have been able to attend any of the summer camps if it had not been for ASDF donating monies to make it possible. For some of our families, money that is donated is the only way they would be able to attend a summer camp. Thank you so much ASDF.

This year has been a tough one for many families that we serve. Our camps for children with autism spectrum disorders have been vital for providing social opportunities to children and young adults who have largely been at home through the pandemic. Some of these families simply didn't have the funds to make that happen. I am so thankful for ASDF providing the funds for these young people to come to a safe environment where they can have social opportunities and meet other friends for a fund time. Thank you for seeing past the surface needs to the critical needs of the families we serve!

This organization was able to donate money towards a summer camp that deals with social skills for my autistic non verbal son (who is almost 3 now). We hadn’t been able to place him in a school or any programs during the year do to the closures plus finding one that was right for my littlest was hard to come by and afford. The money given has him the amazing opportunity to see other children, interact with them, as well as receive necessary therapies all in one spot. We’ve seen such a tremendous improvement in such a short time that wouldn’t have been possible without this money. Thank for this organization and for its donors. You’ve changed his life and ours forever.

One of my favorite things during camp season is listening to my daughter sing a medley of camp songs in her bed each night. Camp ended several weeks ago and my daughter has been bringing the camp directories (of campers and staff) that was mailed home prior to the beginning of camp to bed EVERY night because she loved being able to attend camp this summer.

Camp, this year, was such a gift for our whole family. Because of an extenuating family circumstance, my daughter would not have been able to attend camp this summer without your organization's assistance. THANK YOU!!!

The Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation made it possible for my child to attend Glade Run Adventure Camp this year, reducing much of the isolation experienced by COVID and allowing her the opportunity to practice her social skills with her peers. The experiences she will have over the two-week camp will help her as she navigates the social interactions of an up-and-coming 5th grader and will give her memories that will last a lifetime. Thanks to a generous scholarship from the Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation, our son was able to attend a week at a camp with other kids like him. It's the only camp in our area that gathers kids on the spectrum together and helps them feel a little bit less alone. It was a wonderful opportunity, and one which we would not have been able to take advantage of without the ASDF. We are very grateful!

This organization funded my son's attendance at a wonderful summer camp that specializes in sensory and other special needs. He is autistic and ADHD and so sending him to a regular camp is not always beneficial. As most parents know, camps, particularly those equipped to make accommodations, can be quite expensive. This camp certainly would have been out of the question for us financially. Because ASDF paid for him to go, he has been able to attend one week so far and has two more coming up. He had an absolutely wonderful time, met kids that are more like him, and received such caring attention from specially-trained staff. We are very grateful that ASDF could help us send him to such a perfect environment for him. My child who struggles to make social connections at school was coming home from camp each day so excited to talk about the friends he made there and tell me all about their activities and interactions.

Our family is very thankful for the assistance the ASD Foundation has provided us for our two boys. Because of their help, therapies can continue on. The ASD Foundation is truly a blessing and I can’t thank them enough!

We are very thankful for the assistance we received for our son who has autism. He loves the water and we wanted to enroll him in swimming classes for him to learn swimming skills. This organization helped us with funding for swimming classes for our son. Without this funding he will not be able to attend these classes. Our son loves the water and looks forward to his time in the pool. He has been able to learn how to float and is taking a few strokes. We are so thankful of this donation and this opportunity for our son. We cry of excitement everything we bring him to his swim lessons.

I am a little late writing this review, but this organization has been on my mind for months and I owe them my deepest gratitude because they provided my ASD twins with iPads last Christmas- it has made such an impact on their learning. We have been able to show them videos that have taught them math and reading skills, downloaded apps that have helped them read, and we have seen them flourish using them as educational tools in our home. I truly don’t know how to say thank you.

Our son with autism had his first swimming lesson today because of the scholarship/grant that was provided by the Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation Inc and it was an emotional experience to say the least. He is 8 and has been a huge safety risk around the water for his entire life and now that he is older, these lessons are teaching him valuable skills and techniques that build confidence and improve safety in the water. His issues around water would prevent him from enjoying time in a pool, go above the knee in the ocean, or just slide down a water slide...but now that we have been given the opportunity to address this, I am hopeful that he and us can enjoy our time in the water more and rest assure he has what it takes to have fun and be safe. It is hard to put into words what Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation Inc. has done for our child. When families like ours feel like there is no hope or ways to help our child with Autism, foundations like this one comes around. They have truly been a blessing to our family and specially our son. With the help of ASD Foundation Inc. our son is able to get his aquatics therapy which he not only enjoys but it benefits him with his progress and development. We have always wanted to teach our kids how to swim because not only is it important for safety reasons but while growing up I never had the chance to learn myself. During these hard times it’s been very hard financially having two autistic kids I want them to feel like all the other kids and be able to learn all actives. Especially since they don’t have the ability to learn themselves it’s important for me and my family to teach them the importance of safety since we have a pool in our units. Not only well this program help me and my family but also teach my 2 boys safety. Thank you for having such a special program for our special families. Your guys help means a lot for us.

My child Victor is 7 and he has autism. Since he was young, he has been so attracted to water. There was one day that he accidentally got out of our apartment and in those long few seconds, I right away ran to the pool area and he was there. It was fortunate that the pool gate was closed. We also once took him to the beach and he was not daunted even when the waves were strong. I knew that he had to learn water safety for survival. However, adaptive swimming programs for children with special needs cost so much. We are already paying for ABA and Speech therapy that we couldn't afford to pay for a special swim program to help him. It was by God's grace that I found this foundation. They are covering my child's first three months of adaptive swimming. I will write again here once we finish his program to update on his progress. I cannot thank this foundation enough for this opportunity for my son to learn water safety.

Thanks a lot!! I am extremely great full for the sponsorship I received for the summer camps for my Kid. We are left with no funds for doing any others extra mile for my son as the copays ,Tution his school fees are way expensive. Unfortunately it takes lot of effort to achieve small goals . This has eliminated so much frustration he was having by not being able to express his needs and it has stopped most of his self injurious behavior coming from his frustration. I cannot thank myasdf enough for what they have done to help my son. So many organizations claim to help with ipads and I have applied to others in the past but never received one until myasdf.

My 9 yr old special needs son put something in the microwave that caught fire and by the time the fire alarm went off it was already licking the kitchen cabinets. So I had to get my son out before I could even think about trying to use an extinguisher or anything. He was fighting me and long story short our apartment was toast. We were blessed no one was hurt ( besides a little smoke inhalation by me) . But the ipads ( I have 2 boys but my little one was with his dad) and lots of our belongings went up in smoke. So to get even one ipad replaced was a huge blessing!
The ipad for my son is his calm. His happy place. It's what he will work for with his therapists. It's a way to communicate with others via AAC apps. It's a big deal and without it there is more stress for us all.

I honestly cannot tell you how grateful I am for this organization. My son had an ancient iPad that wasn’t able to be updated anymore so he couldn’t really use anything on it anymore so I applied through ADSF for one through the program & I really didn’t think he would get one because there are sooooo many kids in need, but to my surprise, it came a few weeks ago! & we are SO thankful too, because fast forward a few weeks & now my son is doing virtual learning & he wasn’t able to use that old one to do his work! So so so so wonderful!

Words can not express how truly grateful my family is. We have 2 sons with speech delayment due to autism. The Ipads that were sent is going to help them improve and communicate with others. I am truly humbled and thankful for this organization.

My daughter received her iPad the other day in the mail, and we were surprised as we were not expecting it so quickly. It could not have come at a better time!! She was missing her family terribly as these holidays are so different, and they live so far away. We were able to set up the iPad and show her how to use it to surprise FaceTime them. She was BEAMING to see them and interact with them as she does not like things being so different from her normal routine. We will be able to use this for music therapy, social stories, school, seeing family, coloring, and so much more! We are so thankful to those who have made this happen. First of all, I want to say big "Thank you" to those who made it possible to give an ipad to my autistic son. My son is 7-year old. This gift has been a tremendous blessing to our family especially to my son. Now he is able to work on his ipad and do speech and other therapies using this ipad. And we really thank God for all of you. And we pray that may God reward you 7 times more for what you are doing. Thank you again and again!

I am so grateful for this program. My son Skyler is 13 and was diagnosed with autism at nearly 3. He was recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes as well. This iPad gift means so much to him due to the fact he’s been asking for one since earlier this year. I’m a single mother to two wonderful sons ages 13 and 11 and although I do all I can for them as a mother should. Ive had two total knee replacement surgeries in the past 5 months due to severe arthritis. I’m grateful to everyone and all organizations that made the iPad a reality for my Skyler. He has always preferred electronics for learning and the unexpected changes that Covid has brought on for him starting kindergarten this year have been challenging for a child that needs routine. I am the mother of a 10 year old boy with autism and I applied for assistance in October this year by getting on a list for a Walmart gift card to help purchase a gift for him at Christmas . With one parent working and then onto unemployment it is a struggle to provide a good dinner a few decorations for cheer and a few gifts under the tree . The best i could hope for was that there would be enough funds to make it to us on the list. Today is November 22nd ...the last thing on my mind was the Walmart gift card because 2 days ago I laid his big brother to rest. An untimely passing of a 24 yr old young man who meant everything to his little brother. We have suffered a huge loss. The cost of the services were too much...we had to settle for another way and we fundraised for that service.
Today was a blessing to us and a message to me not to get so wrapped up in what Ive lost that I forget what I have. I would like to thank with all my heart for the help that the Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation Inc. has done for my family. My daughter is on the spectrum and high functioning and has always wanted an iPad. Being that of a single mother providing for two children alone that was something I had been wanting to get for her. With the way things have been going financially this year and the pandemic, I was very unsure it would happen. Yesterday, my daughters wish had come true. We received a package in the mail and she was beyond excited. She now is able to do some art work that she loves to do and be more creative with her new iPad. Again, many thanks for this donation. The Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation helped better my sons life by providing him with an iPad to help him communicate. My son is 9 years old and is non verbal and has level 3 autism. He had the older iPad that he used Proloquo2go on to communicate but it broke and stopped working causing him to use our phones and get frustrated with a smaller screen. Due to covid 19 my husband and I were both out of work and struggling to find a way to provide a new iPad for our son. That’s when I found this organization and reached out. They responded quickly and were so helpful in providing the information needed to get this going. I applied for the iPad program and the director Michael Slutsky was so quick in replying and helping us get the iPad. I wasn’t expecting it to come so early and my son was beyond excited to see he had a new iPad he could use! What an amazing organization! Thank you for making a difference for our family. We hope to be able to donate and give back as soon as we get back to work in order to help provide the same joy that was given to us. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

A few years back this amazing company was able to provide my 2 boys with autism an iPad for each. That has been very helpful and has impacted their lives in so many ways from speech to school. This year with everything going on they provided gift cards for my boys for christmas. I have been unemployed due to taking a Family Medical Leave to stay home with my boys for them to stay online for school due to their multiple medical conditions and this foundation made this happen for me to provide my boys a christmas. Because of ASDF a generous gift card was sent to my grandson for Christmas. Because of ASDF my grandson is able to participate in private equestrian riding lessons for six months. I wouldn't know what I would have done without ASDF this year. I have been so depressed thinking about Christmas. I was not going to be able to buy my son anything for Christmas this year. Helped us with a holiday gift card of $100 from Walmart...I was I'll for 2 weeks and could barely take care of myself. This helped me get the food that my daughter and I needed. Thank God for them! Jesus is good!

We have a 9y.o son diagnosed with Autism and ADHD.He is non-verbal and has a very challenging behavior aggression, self injurious behavior, elopement and safety issues.He has ABA daily, speech and OT once a week since 2017.We are struggling financially to make monthly payments for all his therapy.We were thinking of stopping the therapy to allow us time to recover financially.Then i look for resources online for grants and so many options to choose.I chose ASDF completed application online and the response was quick and timely.Mr.Slutsky is very kind and accomodating and work us to the whole process.Our son’s ABA total invoice to this date will be fully paid.What an immense relief.We can continue our son’s therapy to help him make progress and to help meet his needs , we have a peace of mind and an immense relief on our financial burden.We are beyond grateful for making a difference in our life.More than words can express thank you for helping us.

My son received a wonderful surprise this holiday season, an iPad from ASDF! While he is interacting and displaying notable talent with its music composing, keyboard and drums/percussion features, I am using it to facilitate his social communication and problem solving skill development through direct teaching using mobile technology. The iPad now allows me to follow through with the information, guidance and use and App recommendations I received from social skill experts during a parent workshop. Some of social communication app recommendations include: The Room, Lets Be Social, My School Day, Social Detective and Machinarium.
