My story starts with a little fella named Damien. I came to know him when his mom abandoned him in the hospital my son had no idea how to care for him. So I stepped in and got full custody f him. Im his moma Nana. He's been fighting for life since he was born July 3rd 2020. I've been fighting with him. He has brain pvl, rare gen disorder that causes seizures and autism. October the 7th he ended up in ICU having a 8 hour long seizure the doctors had to use all kinds of medication to get the seizure controlled. In the middle of having a seizure he quit breathing and they had to put him on a ventilator. I was so scared I was loosing my little angel. He fought and I stayed by his side. 48 hours no sleep. That Monday God gave him back to me. He started breathing on his own and the doctors took him off the ventilator. We stayed in the hospital most of October. He's recovering slowly at home now. I quit my job to focus on his health and needs more. So of course it's a struggle financially. My car isn't safe to drive anymore. Now a days there's no one really out to help one another. I was looking through Facebook and came across this foundation and I sent an email. The email didn't say it went through or anything. So I said I tried. Then I got a call out no where getting ready to go back to the hospital that said we got your email and we would like to help you out for Christmas. I didn't know what to say but cry because I was thinking no one really cares about what we are going through. But these people did and I thank them from the bottom of my heart for taking the time out and saying we are here to help.. even though we still don't have a Christmas tree I'm able to get him something when I wasn't able too. Thank you so much to everyone in this foundation. My heart goes out to everyone that makes this foundation a blessing to the children that have disorders. He's my little angel.
We found you a couple yrs ago for our oldest Son and decided to take a Chance and apply for a gift Card for Walmart for our Son! I want to let everyone know that the Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation is such a huge help to families. I am a single mom with 2 children with autism and thanks to their holiday program I will be able to give my son's a Christmas. My older son was so excited when he received his ipad yesterday! He no longer has to share one with his younger brother who uses the ipad everyday given his complex needs. Given their needs, I have not been able to work with covid and virtual schooling. They truly have the children's best interest at heart and understand the challenges and their needs. Please support them so they can continue to do their amazing work. They are an organization to be admired and supported.

I am a single mom with 2 children with autism and the Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation gift card program for Christmas is so helpful and appreciated. It has been very challenging to work due to COVID while doing virtual schooling for the boys since my 5th grader needs me to sit with him all day to get the mandatory schoolwork done. I work at a Special Needs school in Monroe GA. We have summer camps every year (except during COVID) and there are some families at our school who would not have been able to attend any of the summer camps if it had not been for ASDF donating monies to make it possible. For some of our families, money that is donated is the only way they would be able to attend a summer camp. Thank you so much ASDF.

This year has been a tough one for many families that we serve. Our camps for children with autism spectrum disorders have been vital for providing social opportunities to children and young adults who have largely been at home through the pandemic. Some of these families simply didn't have the funds to make that happen. I am so thankful for ASDF providing the funds for these young people to come to a safe environment where they can have social opportunities and meet other friends for a fund time. Thank you for seeing past the surface needs to the critical needs of the families we serve!

Four years ago we had a family in our program come in danger of having to leave the program because their personal finances simply would not allow their son to continue receiving services. The Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation came through for this family by covering the cost of the program for that year. This young man has now been with us since 2013. This child who was barely talking and would not allow his har to be cut and had difficulty following simple directions has come so far in these five years. In December we determined he could be ready to go to sleepover camp for a week this summer with his typical peers. We spent months working on skills like washing his hair, changing his clothes, following a schedule, and communicating well with others. This month, when the time came for him to go to camp, we felt that his therapist needed to go with him this first time, in order to assure a successful experience and to facilitate communication with his peers. The Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation came through again to pay for his therapist to spend five days with him, helping him achieve success at this camp. He came through camp with flying colors and we were excited about the other groups who took note and realized that a child with autism could be successful at camp. It has been my joy to partner with the ASDF to meet the needs of many children across the years. They are an amazing organization that help so many others.

This organization was able to donate money towards a summer camp that deals with social skills for my autistic non verbal son (who is almost 3 now). We hadn’t been able to place him in a school or any programs during the year do to the closures plus finding one that was right for my littlest was hard to come by and afford. The money given has him the amazing opportunity to see other children, interact with them, as well as receive necessary therapies all in one spot. We’ve seen such a tremendous improvement in such a short time that wouldn’t have been possible without this money. Thank for this organization and for its donors. You’ve changed his life and ours forever.

One of my favorite things during camp season is listening to my daughter sing a medley of camp songs in her bed each night. Camp ended several weeks ago and my daughter has been bringing the camp directories (of campers and staff) that was mailed home prior to the beginning of camp to bed EVERY night because she loved being able to attend camp this summer.
Camp, this year, was such a gift for our whole family. Because of an extenuating family circumstance, my daughter would not have been able to attend camp this summer without your organization's assistance. THANK YOU!!!

The Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation made it possible for my child to attend Glade Run Adventure Camp this year, reducing much of the isolation experienced by COVID and allowing her the opportunity to practice her social skills with her peers. The experiences she will have over the two-week camp will help her as she navigates the social interactions of an up-and-coming 5th grader and will give her memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you ASD Foundation for making summer camp possible for my child.

Thanks to a generous scholarship from the Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation, our son was able to attend a week at a camp with other kids like him. It's the only camp in our area that gathers kids on the spectrum together and helps them feel a little bit less alone. It was a wonderful opportunity, and one which we would not have been able to take advantage of without the ASDF. We are very grateful!
This organization funded my son's attendance at a wonderful summer camp that specializes in sensory and other special needs. He is autistic and ADHD and so sending him to a regular camp is not always beneficial. As most parents know, camps, particularly those equipped to make accommodations, can be quite expensive. This camp certainly would have been out of the question for us financially. Because ASDF paid for him to go, he has been able to attend one week so far and has two more coming up. He had an absolutely wonderful time, met kids that are more like him, and received such caring attention from specially-trained staff. We are very grateful that ASDF could help us send him to such a perfect environment for him. My child who struggles to make social connections at school was coming home from camp each day so excited to talk about the friends he made there and tell me all about their activities and interactions.

Our son with autism had his first swimming lesson today because of the scholarship/grant that was provided by the Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation Inc and it was an emotional experience to say the least. He is 8 and has been a huge safety risk around the water for his entire life and now that he is older, these lessons are teaching him valuable skills and techniques that build confidence and improve safety in the water. His issues around water would prevent him from enjoying time in a pool, go above the knee in the ocean, or just slide down a water slide...but now that we have been given the opportunity to address this, I am hopeful that he and us can enjoy our time in the water more and rest assure he has what it takes to have fun and be safe. Thank you to the ASDF, you have changed a life and we are forever grateful!

Wesley attends ABA therapy daily to decrease and redirect his bahaviors. Since attending therapy daily, he is accomplishing this goal with geat improvement. Our present goal is for Wesley to be independent and reach his maximum potential without incident.
I recently had an accident which left me unable to work full time, therefore decreasing our income and ability to continue therapy.
Thank you ASDF for you generous donation and contribution into the success and life of my son . We are forever grateful for such a wonderful, caring orgination as Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation.
Gratefulness from The Hughes Family
Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation has been nothing but professional, generous and caring for our family. My name is Jennifer, the mother to an amazing and bright Autistic boy. He is the light of our lives and I couldn’t think of a boy more deserving of support.
My son is an 8 year old boy who has a passion for science, animals, and sports. He spends a lot of his time reading about marine biology and often tells me how one day he wants to become a marine biologist. As a full time working mom of 2 children, and knowing the stress that the pandemic has placed on my children this pass year I started my search for summer camps that would be enjoyable for them and also benefit him socially.
One in particular was a marine biology camp, however, it comes with a financial cost that would burden our family especially because we are paying for ABA, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Feeding Therapy.
You see, my son often struggles comparing himself to the other children in his class. He is very aware of his challenges and disabilities. He struggles with confidence and often puts himself down because he in his own words is “not the smartest or fastest learner in the class”. He resorts to frustration, self hitting, not eating, stimming, and head banging. This is why foundations like the Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation is so crucial for families like ours. We are forever grateful for all of their help and support. My baby boy deserves any opportunity that is out there for him. He deserves the right to feel a part of something, and deserves every opportunity to feel that he has a place and can be just as successful as the next child and this is why I rely on programs like this. I truly believe in every ounce of my soul that one day he will make a difference in this world because he already does in our hearts.
FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS, THANK YOU AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDER FOUNDATION!

We have always wanted to teach our kids how to swim because not only is it important for safety reasons but while growing up I never had the chance to learn myself. During these hard times it’s been very hard financially having two autistic kids I want them to feel like all the other kids and be able to learn all actives. Especially since they don’t have the ability to learn themselves it’s important for me and my family to teach them the importance of safety since we have a pool in our units. Not only well this program help me and my family but also teach my 2 boys safety. Thank you for having such a special program for our special families. Your guys help means a lot for us.

My child Victor is 7 and he has autism. Since he was young, he has been so attracted to water. There was one day that he accidentally got out of our apartment and in those long few seconds, I right away ran to the pool area and he was there. It was fortunate that the pool gate was closed. We also once took him to the beach and he was not daunted even when the waves were strong. I knew that he had to learn water safety for survival. However, adaptive swimming programs for children with special needs cost so much. We are already paying for ABA and Speech therapy that we couldn't afford to pay for a special swim program to help him. It was by God's grace that I found this foundation. They are covering my child's first three months of adaptive swimming. I will write again here once we finish his program to update on his progress. I cannot thank this foundation enough for this opportunity for my son to learn water safety.

We are so grateful to this foundation for making it possible to send our daughter to a summer camp that has a wonderful program for young adults that will work on social and ADL skills while living communally. The cost is high for such a program as they have professionals that can give our daughter the skills that as a parent it can be hard and exhausting at times. Because her IQ exceeds the threshold of government benefits, she does not qualify for programs that would help her with prework skills. My husband is a teacher but it has been hard for me to work as I have had to care for my daughter and son who has a physical disability. Thanks so much ASDF! Aaron's Acres is a non-profit organization that provides year round recreational programs to children and young adults with developmental disabilities. ASDF has been most generous in supporting our programs by providing scholarships to some of our families who are facing financial challenges. During COVID, our families struggled as their employment was either terminated or the number of hours of employment were decreased. As a result, their ability to pay for our programs was negatively impacted. ASDF's support is ensuring that families can register their children at Aaron's Acres without adding more stress to their already full plate (of stress). Everyone at Aaron's Acres feels blessed with this relationship that we have with ASDF.

For this summer (2019), we received an extremely generous donation from ASDF to support families who wished to send their children to the camp program, but needed financial assistance. Helping these families financially allowed these families to register their children for our program and not experience additional stress regarding how they would pay for it. Too often our families face numerous stressors as they raise children with varying challenges. For this summer, the families who received this type of support were able to relax a bit and know that their children were in a safe, supportive, therapeutic setting, focusing on building and strengthening socialization and communication skills. My daughter is 2.5 and non verbal thus far. I applied for the IPAD to assist her with communication. So far she loves it, while we are still growing and learning what apps best fit her needs, we couldn't be more pleased with the foundation for allowing us access to this fantastic technology. This is going to help her for many years. Thank you so much!

Thank you Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation, Inc. They sent my son a $350 Wal-Mart ecard for Christmas. Now he is able to get an iPad and accessories to continue his distance learning courses online for the rest of the school year. This is a blessing since we recently suffered a loss recently from Hurricane Zeta. I am very thankful for this great nonprofit organization and everything they do.

This foundation donated a $100 Holiday Gift card to my son Devin, 16 years old who was diagnosed with Autism and ADHD since the age of 3. This foundation has made a great impact on our lives. Now, the stress of worrying if my son will be able tto have a nice Christmas is a heavy weight that is now lifted off my shoulders. I am very thankful. This organization relies solely on donations and when I am able to get back ony feet again, I will be paying it forward. They need all the help they can get and I wanted to give awareness to others and gives thanks for supporting families like mine who has someone who is affected with autism spectrum disorder. Thank you Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation once again and Happy Holidays to you and your family.
...ASDF has been quite the embrace for our family, year after year- my luv has autism, that is so often accompanied with self injurious behaviors- there’s a psychological aspect of pain that I’m not sure many people are aware of, or even acknowledge- so when you have organizations like ASDF that extends so much, so often; there’s a sense of “you are not alone” that is felt, and its magnitude is beyond words- thank you, thank you, and thank you for embracing our family as much as you do- you are truly the rainbow that follows the storm-

I just want to thank Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation for helping!
My 9 yr old special needs son put something in the microwave that caught fire and by the time the fire alarm went off it was already licking the kitchen cabinets. So I had to get my son out before I could even think about trying to use an extinguisher or anything. He was fighting me and long story short our apartment was toast. We were blessed no one was hurt ( besides a little smoke inhalation by me) . But the ipads ( I have 2 boys but my little one was with his dad) and lots of our belongings went up in smoke. So to get even one ipad replaced was a huge blessing!
The ipad for my son is his calm. His happy place. It's what he will work for with his therapists. It's a way to communicate with others via AAC apps. It's a big deal and without it there is more stress for us all.
Thank you so much
Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation!

I am raising 2 boys and am low income. My oldest boy is 9 and has severe autism in addition to having Down Syndrome. He's non verbal and a runner.
His little brother is 4 and will be evaluated soon. I suspect he might have what used to be called Aspurgers but now is just considered high functioning autism.
Your generosity is greatly appreciated.
If you don't deal with autism you can't understand all an iPad helps with.
There are apps to help communicate turning the iPad into a speech device and giving them a voice.
Other kids want to see an iPad and therefore it facilitates inclusion.
It allows for inspiration and learning as well. It can be another way to see modeling of speech and behavior as well as things to try.
I can't afford to do what Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation does but it's much needed. Thanks for your donations to them so they can help my boys and others!

I honestly cannot tell you how grateful I am for this organization. My son had an ancient iPad that wasn’t able to be updated anymore so he couldn’t really use anything on it anymore so I applied through ADSF for one through the program & I really didn’t think he would get one because there are sooooo many kids in need, but to my surprise, it came a few weeks ago! & we are SO thankful too, because fast forward a few weeks & now my son is doing virtual learning & he wasn’t able to use that old one to do his work! So so so so wonderful!

Thank you so much to the generosity of the Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation my 5 year old son was able to get an IPad that we will be using for further developing his speech. His speech therapist had recommended a communication software that is used on the iPad. We are very excited to see how much this will enhance his language and speech therapy. Thank you for all the work you do to help kids on the Autism spectrum. Thank you to all who donate to this foundation to make these much needed awards make a difference in many families lives.
First of all telling a lot of people about this organization! Not trying to give pressure, but this organization should be more well known! Love how easy the process is! Love the options given! This organization really cares about having the access to resources! With the resource given by Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation my child is able have more development, have a better growth, strengths, and desire to learn! As a parent I feel more optimistic about my child success in life!

We received an iPad for our 7 year old son. He is non verbal and he relies on a communication app on an iPad to communicate. The gift of an iPad is like giving him the gift of "speech" to him. We are beyond blessed to have received this important tool!! He will use it for years to come!
My daughter received her iPad the other day in the mail, and we were surprised as we were not expecting it so quickly. It could not have come at a better time!! She was missing her family terribly as these holidays are so different, and they live so far away. We were able to set up the iPad and show her how to use it to surprise FaceTime them. She was BEAMING to see them and interact with them as she does not like things being so different from her normal routine. We will be able to use this for music therapy, social stories, school, seeing family, coloring, and so much more! We are so thankful to those who have made this happen. You have no idea how much this has blessed our family and our daughter. Words cannot express our gratitude!!

I am so grateful for this program. My son Skyler is 13 and was diagnosed with autism at nearly 3. He was recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes as well. This iPad gift means so much to him due to the fact he’s been asking for one since earlier this year. I’m a single mother to two wonderful sons ages 13 and 11 and although I do all I can for them as a mother should. Ive had two total knee replacement surgeries in the past 5 months due to severe arthritis. I’m grateful to everyone and all organizations that made the iPad a reality for my Skyler. He is over the moon filled with excitement. Love you all.

We were gifted an ipad for our son who was recently diagnosed with ASD Andover are beyond thankful! He has always preferred electronics for learning and the unexpected changes that Covid has brought on for him starting kindergarten this year have been challenging for a child that needs routine. The iPad will be an amazing tool for him to begin learning to communicate with us and continue learning through educational apps. We wouldn’t have been able to get him one this year if it weren’t for ASDF.

I want to start by thanking this organization for gifting an iPad to my son, Aamir. He just turned 3 and was recently diagnosed with ASD. It has been a struggle to find support especially during the pandemic so this organization has been the silver lining to this year. He is nonverbal and we were looking to purchase a tablet that we could use as a sounding board. He’s only three but knows how to work cell phones and tablets so we were excited to have this one. We cannot wait to see his expression when he opens this on Christmas. You all have really made a difference in our lives and we thank you.

I am the mother of a 10 year old boy with autism and I applied for assistance in October this year by getting on a list for a Walmart gift card to help purchase a gift for him at Christmas . With one parent working and then onto unemployment it is a struggle to provide a good dinner a few decorations for cheer and a few gifts under the tree . The best i could hope for was that there would be enough funds to make it to us on the list. Today is November 22nd ...the last thing on my mind was the Walmart gift card because 2 days ago I laid his big brother to rest. An untimely passing of a 24 yr old young man who meant everything to his little brother. We have suffered a huge loss. The cost of the services were too much...we had to settle for another way and we fundraised for that service.
Today was a blessing to us and a message to me not to get so wrapped up in what Ive lost that I forget what I have. I give many thanks to everyone that shares and donates to the Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation. Your donations make an impact on many lives that are truly grateful. Love and Thanks...Mom.

I would like to thank with all my heart for the help that the Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation Inc. has done for my family. My daughter is on the spectrum and high functioning and has always wanted an iPad. Being that of a single mother providing for two children alone that was something I had been wanting to get for her. With the way things have been going financially this year and the pandemic, I was very unsure it would happen. Yesterday, my daughters wish had come true. We received a package in the mail and she was beyond excited. She now is able to do some art work that she loves to do and be more creative with her new iPad. Again, many thanks for this donation. The Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation helped better my sons life by providing him with an iPad to help him communicate. My son is 9 years old and is non verbal and has level 3 autism. He had the older iPad that he used Proloquo2go on to communicate but it broke and stopped working causing him to use our phones and get frustrated with a smaller screen. Due to covid 19 my husband and I were both out of work and struggling to find a way to provide a new iPad for our son. That’s when I found this organization and reached out. They responded quickly and were so helpful in providing the information needed to get this going. I applied for the iPad program and the director Michael Slutsky was so quick in replying and helping us get the iPad. I wasn’t expecting it to come so early and my son was beyond excited to see he had a new iPad he could use! What an amazing organization! Thank you for making a difference for our family. We hope to be able to donate and give back as soon as we get back to work in order to help provide the same joy that was given to us. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

He was removed from his home by CPS and his great-grandfather & thought this would be temporary, but we have had him & his sister now for 5 yrs which during this time he had do many issues medical and behavioral that thru all the testing he was diagnosed Autism.
Covid-19 has put a strain on us financial, but also I had to cut back work hrs as he can be challenging for one person, especially elopements, 2 near drowning & almost being hit by 6 times by a cars. The gift card was used for much needed clothes & shoes.

Thank you so much for the Walmart E-gift card. What a huge blessing this holiday season. This year has been a struggle with our finances being impacted due to Covid-19, so this E-gift card is such a huge help. My son really wants a bike for Christmas and this is allowing us to know for sure he will get one. We are so very thankful for ASD Foundation’s generous donation. Thank you!

No words can describe how happy and excited Albert was when he received ASDF Gift E-Card. The card was a happy surprise to him, who rarely receive such attention. Albert is an autistic kid with high level of social anxiety; he doesn't have friends, he goes to a virtual school and have a limited communication. So, when strangers think and care about him - it gives Albert a sense of friendship and belonging,.. it means a world to my boy.
I am profoundly happy that organization Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation is doing such a great and important job: help autistic kids feel loved and cared for, so they don't feel lonely and forgotten.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness ASDF.

I can not express how grateful I am to ASDF and the donors that make this gift card program possible. It's heartbreaking not being able to provide my son the Christmas I had as a child. I have only managed to save $41 dollars in change so far for Christmas, Being able to go and buy presents for my son is something that is probably more important to me that it should be. I just want me children to have the same joy and happiness that I had as a child on Christmas morning. Thanks to this program and donors, that joy is going to happen this year. I really hope this program keeps going, and making a difference in the lives of special needs families, I can't wait to be a donor myself when I get back on my feet to help make a difference in someone else's family....THANK YOU

I’m a single mother on disability for a spinal cord injury and money has been extremely tight. I have saved every penny to make my son’s Christmas the best, however, I was going to have to pick whether I eat or does my son have a wonderful day... it’s especially important this year since after 6 years of OT, ABA, speech and ECE my son is finally able to understand what Christmas is! I’ve been able to form a bond that I didn’t think would ever exist. The donation of the gift card gave me the ability to help give my son a wonderful day filled with toys he wants and asked for (actually wrote a letter to Santa!) please consider your donation for ASDF! I wouldn’t of been able to make things work out like they did without the help! I’m so thrilled to have been blessed!

I wouldn't know what I would have done without ASDF this year. I have been so depressed thinking about Christmas. I was not going to be able to buy my son anything for Christmas this year. The Target gift card we received from them was a true blessing. I was able to get my son what he wished for most for Christmas. I had talked to my son already and tried to explain to him that Christmas wouldn't be coming to our house this year. I can't wait to see his face light up when he sees gifts underneath our tree!!

The Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation has been a HUGE blessing for me and my daughter. I am a single mom and on a very tight budget. When I contacted ASDF last summer to see if they could help out a little with my daughter's preschool tuition so we could keep her in a neurotypical peer environment they replied with an hour and said they'd pay the entire monthly amount for the entire school year! To say we were blessed is an understatement. Their financial assistance has given my daughter an amazing school experience. She has learned so much from her peers and has LOVED school! She even graduated from speech therapy after 2 years! Thank you so much ASDF!

I have immense gratitude to the Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation for their assistance with son Kendrick. Ken is 4 years old. The scholarship the foundation provided allowed Kendrick the opportunity to participate in the summer enrichment session at his preschool. Due to his ASD it is extremely essential for him to be continuously involved in environments with his peers that stimulate his engagement and communication. The summer enrichment session provides Ken with the educational support and structure in addition to therapies critical during this developmental stage in his life to help him learn and communicate. This support has provided him with an opportunity to be exposed to an educational environment to stimulate, excel, and advance on multiple levels during the summer.
There are still struggles as we continue this journey, which will require even more support since my wife’s passing. As a single father of two I continuously focus to navigate through strategies for Kendrick’s therapies and ways to help regulate his complex emotions and sensory challenges. This scholarship was incredibly supportive in filling a gap that my income and salary cannot meet. It is truly essential contribution to ensuring the best quality of life and development for my son.

My son received a wonderful surprise this holiday season, an iPad from ASDF! While he is interacting and displaying notable talent with its music composing, keyboard and drums/percussion features, I am using it to facilitate his social communication and problem solving skill development through direct teaching using mobile technology. The iPad now allows me to follow through with the information, guidance and use and App recommendations I received from social skill experts during a parent workshop. Some of social communication app recommendations include: The Room, Lets Be Social, My School Day, Social Detective and Machinarium. We have the deepest gratitude for having received important support from ASDF during our solution-seeking journey to improve our quality of life. Thank you ASDF!

My son is 10 years old recently diagnosed high functioning on the spectrum alongside combined ADHD presentation. He experiences a gap between his high abilities and his deficits. Up until 3rd grade, he achieved fairly well academically (with a lot of home support) despite cognitive learning differences. His high sensory/sensitivities, delayed balance, gross motor skill and spatial coordination, and impulsivity are the source of his social challenges.
While in water (as a form of “aqua therapy" ), he has always experienced tremendous relief for his condition relieving anxiety, expending pent up energy and ameliorating sleep/wake cycle/disturbances. In addition, his physician prescribed swimming as part of his treatment program. Since an infant, being in water – whether the pool or bath – noticeably improves his quality of life. Knowing this, I reached out to ASDF for a scholarship in sending him to a summer swim program while our insurance provider continued to delay providing for a medically-prescribed activity. We are extremely grateful for ASDF’s support. Mr. Slutsky was incredibly responsive, and my son began his swim program immediately. He is already thriving within the first two weeks of participating under the guidance of trained/certified coaches who have become a part of the solution to a better quality of life. Providing for programs that positively impact the lives of children on the spectrum is incredibly important, and can become very challenging to locate and secure. With their support, ASDF turned a challenging situation into a solution, immediately improving the quality of life for my son. ASDF has made a huge difference, and we are extremely grateful to be able to move forward with their support.

The Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation has been a wonderful partner of Autism Pensacola for years! This Christmas season, the ASDF was able to provide 32 holiday gift cards to children and adults living with autism in Northwest Florida. Many of the recipient families are on fixed incomes which makes it near possible to help provide their child with the things they need during the holiday season. The ASDF has greatly impacted each recipient family by not only providing the holiday gift card, but also giving them hope which is priceless. My Family and I would like to take a moment to give thanks and show our deepest appreciation to” The Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation” and to Mr. Michael Slutsky.
The application process was so professional and we had very good communication.
To our great surprise we received the gift card for my son, which made my son so happy.
The most touching thing about is believing that you are not alone in your fight, that there is a foundation like “The Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation" that shares your sorrows and helps you to believe to miracle and humanity. My son will be able to receive the gifts from his list that we couldn't have without this help. Thank you again.
ASDF sent my family a $100 Target gift card to help with buying our son things he needs/ wants for Christmas. We cannot even begin to explain how much this has helped our family and given us hope for the holidays. With all of our son's therapies and appointments, money can be tight. Thank you so much for helping our family and so many others!

ASDF provided our family a $100 Walmart Gift Card per their Holiday Gift Card Program. We are so thankful for the generosity of those who donated money to make this possible! This will greatly help my son have a very nice Christmas. This relieves a lot of stress and pressure on me, as a single parent struggling to make ends meet. What a wonderful blessing! Thank you so much ASDF!

Having a child on the spectrum can be so stressful, both emotionally and financially
Thanks to ASDF this year we were able to relieve some of that stress at our busiest time of year. If anyone is looking for a foundation to donate to I would highly recommend ASDF. My son and my family thank all the donors. Present and future!

This program is a true blessing for my son, Nathan and our family. To be able to provide a very Merry Christmas is without a doubt the best feeling. I look forward to being in a position to help this foundation continue blessing other families. Thank you so much ASDF and to all the donors for providing wonderful holiday hopes for families.
This is the second year that Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation has gifted us with a Christmas gift card. Zander will have a bright Christmas and we will enjoy our family time without the worry of him missing out. My family is very thankful to ASDF. I hope someday to be able to support ASDF and the families just like mine.
My family received a Walmart gift card as a holiday gift to buy my special needs son items he needs(clothes & shoes) and items he wants (toys!) Thank you so very much to everyone that donated because it makes a huge difference to us because we struggle financially. Santa will definitely be stopping by house this year...all because of Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation and the donors! God bless you all for making a difference and helping us!
Merry Christmas!!!
This foundation has been such a blessing for our family. We are a single income home and have two biological children on the spectrum and recently became foster parents of a child on the spectrum. Our son is completely non verbal so being able to be a part of the ipad program has been a crucial part in helping develop his language skills. In the past we have also been a part of the gift card program. This program also makes a huge difference in what we can do for our kids for christmas. We truly appreciate everything this organization does for people in need. Thank you for making Christmas less of a stressful thing and more enjoyable for our kids.

Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation rocks! Leo got his iPad on Friday and has been on it non-stop. He loves the interactive learning games, the stories being read to him, and the technology that is built into the iPad. He is skipping, squealing, and as happy as could be with his new iPad. This will really help him in a variety of ways, and is such a valuable tool you gave my little one. This donation is truly a gift from God and we are so happy the ASDF is here to help our little non-verbal guy, express himself, and learn to do more. Thank you!
Thank you for your generosity and kindness. I thank God that there are still good people in this world with hearts to help out the less fortunate Your donation touched me and my daughter this year deeply. I was able to buy her some educational things to help her with her speech.Thank you for your generosity and thoughtfulness, and may God bless you.I pray for many blesses will come yall way who all was a help to many others . We appreciate your thoughtful donation to help us in our time of need .
This organization helped us so much by sending us a gift card for christmas for my son. Logan has autism with developmental delays. Our car broke down last month so christmas was going be small. Now, I can buy my son a gift for the holidays, it is a great feeling! Thank you so much, we appreciate this greatly.
Please give to Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation. They are really helping!
Words can not properly express my gratitude. ASDF provided us with the means to make this holiday season extra special for our kiddos. After making sure all their needs are met financially, finding the funds for their wish lists can be difficult... Thank You so so much ASDF for meeting that challenge and spreading some greatly appreciated holiday cheer!
Not enough words to describe an organization like ASDF who spent time, money and efforts making a change (good) on other people's life. Cant than them enough for their support and really amazed with the contribution they have done to our family without even knowing us, not seeing us and just by listening to our needs! God Bless

We are so thankful for this awesome company for hooking my boy up with an Ipad. We applied for the Ipad a little over a month ago and recieved it this past weekend. My son Zane is 11 with severe non verbal autism and back in October I signed up for an ipad and in November he got an ipad mini. I was surprised because I have signed up at bigger nonprofits at autism speaks several times and never got anything. My son is very happy with his new ipad. I could not have afforded to buy this myself and very grateful for asdf. What a blessing they are to my family.
I came across the ASDF after hearing about their iPad program for children of autism. My 4 year old son was officially diagnosed on the spectrum earlier this year. Prior to his diagnosis, we took proactive measures and used an older iPad (2nd gen) I once used to help him develop his speech and writing skills with the help of local therapists. This worked adequately until the iPad started showing its age and we could no longer use it effectively. While we were able to continue his therapy, it did slow down the progress he was making. I was prepared to buy a second hand iPad that wasn't the latest but that would have gotten us along with the minimal standards and keep us within our budget. A local autism family support group recommended we make a request through ASDF. We filled out the application and received a reply via email within a few days asking us to submit our child's official ASD diagnosis. We understood ahead of time that there would be plenty of others making similar requests and that it would be several months before we received a final response. In the meantime, we continued working hard with our son who has made great strides in his therapy sessions. Then I received an email from ASDF that my son will be receiving his iPad by the end of the week! Just a week shy of his 5th birthday! This particular iPad is Apple Pencil capable which means, we will be able to ramp up his writing therapy at home or wherever we need to be that day now. I am so grateful for what Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation is doing for my son and others who were able to receive their iPads. This technology makes the difference between walking and running a race. Autism will always be a part of who my son is but through this program, it will help him integrate with his peers and allow him to develop at a quicker pace so he's not left behind.
Please consider giving ASDF your support by helping them continue to donate iPads to children of autism. It will be a sound investment in their future.
Thank you Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation for the IPAD For Christmas 2019 & Thank you to all the donors, because without you this wouldn't be possible. What you do for people is wonderful. My family is very grateful and our son is going to be so excited Christmas morning! GOD BLESS YOU❣
Thank you from my parents, guardians and students. Most of my students are non verbal or limited verbal and their care giver's are always looking for ways to encourage some kind of communication out of their young adult. By using these free app's like; Going places, The social express or Smart Ed Tech, our students have a new way to request wants, needs and turn taking. These are apps we use in school and my parents can use at home. One of my parents called me to share how her son's vocabulary has increased tremendously after only a few weeks using the free app autism speech therapy. I let her know myself and the speech teacher here at Charles Drew have noticed it to. Thanks again for caring enough to give to my wonderful students. I enjoy the many faces of autism and through technology they can shine!

My Family and I would like to take a moment to give thanks and show our deepest appreciation to The Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation Inc for assisting with funds to provide our son Jacob with Aquatics Therapy. We were blessed to have found The ASD Foundation on the "autism speaks" website. At that time, our son had completed a PT evaluation and was highly recommended to receive PT even though he has no physical disabilities. Once we contacted The ASD Foundation, they really showed importance and were very caring in trying to assist our son to receive Aquatics therapy. Once we put them in contact with Swim Angel Fish who would provide the Aquatics Therapy, The ASD Foundation made the transaction very easy and friendly to make sure that our son would be covered for his Aquatics Therapy. We hope and pray that, The ASD Foundation can continue to assist families with special needs children for many years to come. Because of foundations like this one, it provides families with such support and hope that we can help our special needs children to make all the necessary progress. Thank you so much! from the bottom of our hearts.

I am director of two organizations in the Atlanta, Georgia area. I am so very grateful for the Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation. The School where I am Executive Director has relied repeatedly on this organization to fill the gap with students' families face unexpected crises that hit their budget hard. Because of this organization, I have been able to tell many families that their child can continue in school because we know where to seek help. Because of ASDF many students have been able to have the kind of summer services that allow them to continue to learn and grow and develop during the long summer months. The other organization that I direct has summer camps and respite services for families. Many children who do not have the means to pay for summer camps where they work on critical social, communication and life skills are able to attend. I am so proud to be associated with this organization. Again and again, they have stepped up for the families I serve and they have allowed me to be in a position to use all the resources available to them to help their children reach their full potential.

My daughter is 15 years old and has autism with ADHD and Bi-polar disorder. She is an only child and struggles with making friends. Since she is 15 there are not summer camp programs for her age. She was staying with a family member for the day who was not able to take her on outings during the summer. The Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation provided payment for her to attend a week of summer camp for kids on the spectrum. She was able to make friends and enjoy a fun filled week of activities. Due to our struggles of paying for her specialty treatments this would not have been possible.
She was able to gain self-confidence skills and feel totally normal for a full week of her life. She loved Camp Lakey Gap in Black Mountain, NC and has expressed returning next year if possible. She came home with a glow we had never seen before. At camp she felt able to be herself around other campers who struggled with the same issues.
When I say this was the happiest week of her life I really mean it because these were her exact words.
Children with Autism do not get to share many happy moments in their social lives because they view themselves as different and are often treated different by peers. When they are able to come together for fun events they enjoy each other and the time they spend together.
Thank you so much for this life changing event in our lives. We are beyond grateful.

Our family is so incredibly thankful to the Autism Spectrum Foundation for their assistance. I am the single mom of two amazing little boys, both of whom happen to have multiple medical needs. My older son has an autism diagnosis as well as multiple medical issues. He has been referred for many therapies including speech/language, OT, PT and equine therapies. Many of his medical expenses are not fully covered by insurance, and we have a lot of expenses due to having to travel, sometimes hundreds of miles, to his specialists appointments. My son relates well with animals and benefits immensely from equine therapy. I am not able to continue paying out of pocket for this very beneficial therapy. We were blessed to receive a grant from Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation, Inc. to cover his equine assisted therapy services and have seen so much progress through these services, progress that I do not believe we would have seen otherwise. Thank you.

My daughter attends camp over the summer through Aaron’s Acres. They provide a excellent program for children and young adults with special needs. We are able to attend this program with the help of financial support. The scholarship money received from the Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation has allowed our daughter to have a great summer experience through camp at Aaron’s Acres. We are forever grateful for the support that is provided as camp is her favorite part of her summer. It also allows us as parents the peace of mind to know she is having a good time and in great hands.

I am a Migrant Advocate at the Migrant Farmworkers Assistance Fund and want to thank Michael Slutsky and ASDF for their partnership with our organization. The financial assistance one of our families received this summer allowed their son, Fabi, to attend Camp Encourage. Camp Encourage is an overnight summer camp in Linwood KS, specifically for kids diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. Thanks to the assistance from ASDF, Fabi was able to attend Camp Encourage and had a wonderful time! One of his goals while at camp was to ride a horse – and he did! Thank you to the Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation for making it possible for my son to attend Camp Yakety Yak this year. Thank you!
The assistance from ASDF has led to a meaningful life for my son. His funding was for job and cognitive coaching so he could learn the skills to participate on a job search for potential employment. This must be taught by a provider that understands individuals on the autism spectrum and their language and soft skill challenges. This finding assistance will enable my son to b come part of his community which he deserves th right to. Meaningful inclusion is very important to our children’s well being, self esteem and mental health. Leaning does not end when school ends. Thank you ASDF for providing the desperately needed funding.

Hi,
I would like to thank the Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation for my son's new iPad. His ABA therapist at BASS reached out to you guys and you responded so quickly! This donation will help GREATLY as he enters Kindergarten and it will be used as his voice. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Our son is almost 14 years old and is diagnosed with high functioning autism. We reached out to ASDF to ask
for help to send him to summer camp. The program we found is amazing and due to the generosity of ASDF, our son
will have a fun summer experience. The expense of summer programming for kids on the spectrum is usually high and we rely on scholarships and help. Our son is often rigid and afraid to try new things but he is supported and encouraged to step out of his box, make new friends and try something new. He LOVES the camp and thrives over the summer engaged in things which every child should have the opportunity to experience. We are so grateful to ASDF and Mr Slutsky for making this come true for our son and our family. This agency is sensitive and responsive when many others are not. Someday I hope to be able to give back to help another child.

A special thank you for this wonderful organization and Mr. Slutsky for making this scholarship available to my family and to other families out there who live in our world. Our 7-year old son was diagnosed on the autism spectrum 2 years ago and it has been a struggle finding a camp that can meet his needs yet also meet our limited financial resources. I thank God that I stumbled across the ASDF website as there is no way we could send our son to the social skills camp we were told about by our son's occupational therapist. We appreciate you Mr. Slutsky and hope that we can return the favor in kind!
Stay tuned for Part 2 of this review after he finishes camp in August!

This particular organization actually helps autistic people in general as a whole with the mission to improve the lives of families affected by autism.
The IPad program has brought smart home technology that has truly made such a meaningful experience for my sons, Roger Lee, Isaic Benton and My king Hunt.
The apps that my son play on a regular to what seems like all day with the exception of school and Aba tberapy had encouraged them to be educated with daily living skills and social skills.
I will be sharing my one and only non profit's EIN Number world wide to encourage others to contribute consistent donations that will in return advance the learning of children faced with every day challenges on the spectrum.

This is Gabriel, I stumbled upon this profit when I was searching for ways to make his Christmas special. He was diagnosed at the early age of 2, he is now 3 and starting to make progress. With my husband being military we aren’t able to go home this Christmas and wanted to make his Christmas extra special. Receiving this gift card for $100 has made such a difference for us and him and we know he will love all his gifts. We look forward to being able to donate in the near future and help other families the way it has helped us.
My son is 6 years old, severely autistic and non-verbal. I accidentally found this non-profit on google. I knew nothing about them but knew I needed help buying my child a Christmas gift, so I decided to apply. Michael immediately reached out to me to let me know my son was placed on the wait list for a gift card and if funds were available, they would consider sending him a card preloaded with $100 from either target or Walmart. I honestly figured funds wouldn’t available and he wouldn’t get the gift card. However the gift card unexpectedly arrived in the mail just a few weeks afterwards. I immediately went to Walmart and purchased some educational toys for him to use during his in home aba therapy sessions. I am very grateful of this wonderful gift and would encourage any company to donate to this non-profit! Doing what you can to ensure a child has Christmas gifts is an awesome thing to do! I will never forget this generous act of kindness!

I reached out not knowing anything about this organization or what to expect...I just knew that I needed some help. I got a reply that I would be put in a waiting list. I put it out of mind figuring that meant no. Much to surprise I got a $100 Walmart gift card that provided a way for me to make Christmas special. I owe a huge thank you!!!!
I have 2 son's and my youngest has Autism, IDD and mental illness. He is 15 years old but functions around 9 or 10. I have my own medical issues and the only income in the home is my son's SSI. I contacted many local organizations for Christmas help and due to his age I could not find any assistance. I contacted the Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation and was immediately contacted by Michael Slutsky. The only information he asked me for was proof of my son's diagnosis of Autism. He contacted me immediately and told me my son was added to the list for a $100 Gift card. I was very excited because my son doesn't understand that I didn't have money for the holidays. My son has been doing gymnastics in the yard and has been asking for a Trampolinee for almost 2 years. With the $100 Walmart Gift card I received yesterday I was able to purchase him a Trampoline. I am very thankful to the Autism Spectrum Foundation for their support and assistance. They gave my family the opportunity to have a wonderful Christmas. My son will be able to receive the gift he has wanted for 2 years. Thank you very much and I am forever grateful to the Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation.
I have two sons. The youngest one has autism. We really appreciate the holiday gift card from Wal-Mart because I will be able to buy educational and learning toys which will help his cognitive and nonverbal development. I am very thankful for this program.

I'm so grateful to this organization for its continued support of our nonprofit, Autism Pensacola. The Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation has provided monetary help to our Kids for Camp summer program and our Christmas assistance program. Without their gifts, we wouldn't be able to serve as many families. They truly make a difference in Northwest Florida!
This amazing group provided an iPad for my 5-year-old son who has autism. It has been an amazing gift that I wouldn't have been able to give him without this organization's help. I immediately found and downloaded a lot of apps that my son uses to improve his understanding of social and emotional aspects of life. He thinks it is fun and LOVES to use his iPad. In a few short weeks, we have already noticed small improvements in his communication (nonverbal and verbal). Thank you so much to all of the members and donors of this organization!

Hello I wanted to Thank you so much for the Wal mart gift card. I'm a mother with two children with special needs. This will help me get my son Bernard who's on the Autism Spectrum a great Christmas gift. Thank you again and God Bless you.
I want to thank ASDF from the bottom of my heart. It has been such a rough year for my family. My son was diagnosed with ASD in Sept. this year, at 4 years and 9 months old. I am learning everyday new ways to connect and support him. Without the proper tools this can be very challenging. He is verbal but his use of language is not functional all of the time. We get into verbal loops and this causes frustration on his end that always results in meltdowns. This gift card gives him the opportunity to get some of the items I just could not provide for him. I just received the gift card yesterday and have yet to buy him anything. My plans are to utilize every penny to its fullest and get him everything I have been researching that will help. He just started school (4days a week, 3 hrs a day). They use a lot of pictures to communicate instead of relying on words. I have yet to master this but trying to incorporate as much as I can. I have never been on the receiving end of anything in my lifetime, I honestly did not think my son would even get the gift card even after it was confirmed by email. I am still in shock and extremely grateful. I still do not have a tree to put up, I had hoped I could get my broken one to magically work again this year but it just will not stay up. It is a tough spot to either choose a tree or presents. Could not afford to do both. I hope now I will be able to get a tree and put it up for him. He loves the lights when we go out at night, so I just know he will love the tree all decorated and put up. Thank you so very much for this. Words just can not explain what it means to just know that your child will wake up to even a single present on Christmas.
When my fiancée lost his 95k/yr job in July, I immediately jumped to Christmas in my head and started worrying. He was out of work for 4 months...every bill we had was behind...EVERY SINGLE ONE. I knew that once he started working again, I wouldn’t be able to catch up in time to provide my daughters with their normal Christmas. So, I looked for help. Christmas was effectively cancelled. Today I received a Walmart gift card in the mail from ASDF. It’s like a huge weight has been lifted and I know at least something will be under the tree. Christmas is back on!!!!
I just want to thank the Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation for helping me and my son this year for Christmas. I don't know what I would do without them or I wouldn't know how to give my son a Christmas this year without the Gift Card Program and the card will provide food and toys for me and my son this year for Christmas. It really is nice to know that this organization cares and understands millions of people struggles during this time, and has the compassion to help. Thanks so much for all you do. I am so grateful. Have a Happy Holiday ASDF.

We just received a Walmart gift card for my son, Anthony, who is Autistic. We cannot thank you enough for helping us! We got it just in time. We had nothing, absolutely nothing to eat. Thank you so so so much!!!!!
Thank you so much to ASDF for their generous gift to my son during the holiday season. Our son was diagnosed with ASD this past year after numerous tests and procedures. We have had thousands of dollars in medical bills and the gift card from ASDF will help purchase gifts for Christmas for my son:) Thank you so much for helping our family out this year!
I wanted to take a minute to personally thank each and every one of you who generously donated to the Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation this year.
This year has not been easy for our family. We have dealt with a lot of unforeseen issues and challenges as well as financial and health struggles. Your gracious donations have given us the opportunity to give our children a wonderful holiday and for that we are so very grateful. Thank you & God Bless!
My family is facing financial struggles this year and my child is a victim of child abuse by his once classroom teacher . He is self contained and limited speech and he is facing many traumatic challenges and the expenses are really extensive. This Autism spectrum disorder foundation gave us a holiday gift card for my child and this is such a blessing and great help to me and my child. This is such a relief knowing that this will be a wonderful Christmas for him.
Thanks a lot for helping my son! We receive a gift card for him,for the holidays. Having a special need soon is so hard. When my son was diagnosed, my husband stop working to be with him and help him. My son develop a need of his dad all the time, he didn’t let me touch him feed him ,and he only wants his dad all the time. Since that I am the only person at home that bring income to the house and with two kids and all the special need my soon need. It’s really hard. But thanks to this amazing foundation and all the people that donate! I was able to get presents for this Christmas for him!!!! Thanks!!! There is no words to explain how we are so grateful for the gift you give to our family!!!!
I would like to show my sincere gratitude as well as up most appreciation for myasdf.org foundation! My sons name is Myking Lee Hunt and he is nonbverbal and does not speak just yet! This foundation had been there to meet my every need as I continue to grow as well as learn more and more about how autistim affects each child differently. This organization came through for not just one child year after year with no disapointment every christmas. I will share how this organization made mykings face lite up like a christmas when the post man delivered his iPad. I have never seen him more happier and receptive in the two years since I've had him.
I will make sure I share the word so that continuous donations are made in support of there awesome mission of changing the lives for the better for children against the odds.

In December, 2017 my daughter passed away unexpectedly, I became the legal guardian to her children, one of which was ten years old, nonverbal and with severe autism. This child was Estreya or Bella, as we call her. Bella was using an IPad for both the applications specifically for autism (and speech) as well as to calm down when the world became overwhelming however, the IPad quit working that same month and we could not afford to fix or replace it. Bella and her mother loved to interact and play some of the games that were on the IPad and losing both the same month was very hard for her. I contacted the Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation and this month, they sent us an IPad for Bella! What was even more special was that her mother passed away on December 18 and Bella's birthday is December 12, so this generous donation was a combination Birthday and Christmas gift. It made Bella so happy to have something that both reminded her of happier times with her mother and will help her in learning how to better communicate. Being that she will turn eleven on December 12, she was getting very frustrated at trying to let people know what she wanted. This gift is life changing for her and for us! I cannot begin to express how much this gift means! We will be forever grateful to the Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation for helping this little girl have a chance to a better life!
Sincerely, Cheryl Trujillo

Michael and his staff could not be any easier to work with, they were very clear with what their capabilities were and even quicker supplying our family with an iPad for our three-year-old son with autism who has difficulty communicating. His iPad calms him down when he gets worked up, is allowing him to learn words in a manner easier than traditional teaching, and better allows him to share how he feels. We are extremely grateful to Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation for their generosity.
This organization is wonderful. They are patient and so kind. As a single mother to a ten year old boy with autism the use of an iPad implanted into daily life will be great! I have downloaded some social skills apps, communication apps, and educational apps that will hopefully make a difference in his life. He struggles in many areas of life especially when not at home with peers. Thank you so much for all of the help that you gave us.

Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation Inc has been amazing to my family. My son was diagnosed with ASD, ADHD, and several other diagnosis and is currently 4 years old. He has very sporadic speech, maybe 20 words or so on a good day. I heard about Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation Inc from a Facebook group I am in where another mother talked about the iPad she got for her son as a speech device. I contacted ASDFI and told them our story, and was told that if the funds were available, they would be able to provide my son the iPad he needs. Just a month later, the iPad showed up in the mail. It's been such a huge blessing, and being a family with 2 special needs kids, we were not able to afford one on our own. When the time comes that we have extra money, we are going to pay it forward and donate to ASDFI.

I'm a single mom with a 5 year old daughter who is Autistic. I had heard the benefits of ipad use with kiddos on the spectrum but had no room in my budget for that type of purchase. ASDF blessed us by providing this gift to us and my daughter loves it! We use it as a reward system and my daughter has responded really well to using the ipad. It's also a quick way to derail an approaching meltdown. It's an awesome tool to supplement her education and help her increase her ability to communicate. I'm so grateful for ASDF and all that they do!

We received such a wonderful blessing from ASDF. It greatly helped with his communication, anxiety, behavioral optometry, focus, his emotional well being and helped to supplement his education. It also helped to calm him when he is in sensory overload. His mood was very low and his behavior had changed. He has benefited from having an ipad in so many ways. This program is amazing!

This foundation is so wonderful. I have students that are severely autistic and they depend on iPad devices to communicate. With the donations the foundation provided my students with iPads to help them with communication at home.
I am a single dad with a severely autistic daughter who is non verbal. Without this organization I have no idea honestly what I would have done. In the past my daughter used an IPad to communicate using an app called Proloq2Go. Her iPad over time stopped working because it was outdated and the IOS would not update. For several years my daughter has no had her iPad because I simply could not afford to buy one. My daughter has so many medical bills that I probably would have never been able to afford one. We did borrow one from a local loaning closet, for a month, but they took it back over a year ago. Since then we went back to P.E.C.S. I have cut pictures out for months and she usually gets so frustrated before she finds what she wants to say then she starts banging her head on the walls until her head bleeds. Without her iPad she has no voice and her behaviors go through the roof. I can’t blame her though. I have tried to only go one day in my daughters shoes. I tried to not say a single word to anyone just to experience the struggle she endures every single day. I honestly couldn’t do it. I got so frustrated as well. Thanks to this organization my daughter was blessed today with not just an iPad, but she was given her voice! I can’t put into words how thankful I am to them. This is a priceless gift that I will forever grateful for. Thank you Michael, Jan, and all the donators for giving my daughter and many other children with autism a voice.
2 years ago I started as a camp counselor without knowing much about the lives of those who are affected with ASD. After attending camp it not only educated me about ASD and how it effects people with it and those around them. It showed me there is a lack of education and the need for this education, most importantly it's what the kids need. There is no greater gift than the one you can instill in the youth and Camp Odakoda does this! To see the kids blossom day by day and year by year is amazing. Giving them a place to feel safe to be who they truly are and that is Children, Individuals, Teens, People.... This year I was able to bring my wife and my cousin, next year 2 of my kids will be joining us as well.
Thank you ASDF for you support and making it available to others to be part of something bigger than ourselves.

Our son had never been to camp before this year, he'd spent no more than 2 nights away from home ever and he'd really struggled in group settings in the past, so we were anxious about him going to camp for several days/nights. To our surprise, he wasn't too anxious about the idea himself and actually looked forward to it. He had a great time, and he wasn't ready for it to end when I picked him up. It was cool how they had so many options of different things for kids to do according to their own individual tastes. They really do an amazing job of cultivating an environment where ASD kids can relax without pressure and just have fun and go nuts. I'm so glad we overcame our own anxieties about sending him off. It was a great experience all around.

My son has loved going to camp for the past three years but this year was extra special. This year he had a friend go with him and he made a new friend! Making friends is always hard for kids with ASD so this is a big deal for all three boys. While my son didn’t need a scholarship both of the other boys did.
So thank you for making it possible for my son to make not just one new friend but to build on a friendship started at a social skills class. Since none of them go to the same school, Camp is where they could go to build their friendships. Thank you for your sponsorship.
Especially since I know your sponsorship also allows those paying full price to have a much smaller price. The full cost of camp would be a real hardship even for our family. We would probably have only sent him once or every other year.

My son never wanted to go to camp. I think it just would have been another place for him to be excluded and reminded that he was different. That changed when he tried Camp Odakoda, where he felt included and valued. He got to be around people who had many of the same interests as he did, and he learned about new hobbies as well. He even made some friends who live nearby, who he can see outside of camp. He liked the food, which is tailored for picky eaters and offers lots of options. It was okay, even encouraged, for the campers take a daily stress break where they could use their handheld gaming devices. What a huge blessing this camp is to our son and his peers!

Dear ASDF,
Thank you very much for your generous support of our sons, Daniel and Joshua. Camp Yakety Yak is an annual piece of the developmental processes for our whole family. Thank you for assisting us in being able to get our boys to camp! We are grateful!
-Posted by Camp Yakety Yak on behalf of client
Despite receiving a ranking of zero stars from Charity Navigator, ASDF does manage to provide $500 scholarships every year to children attending Camp Yakety Yak, a "reverse-inclusion" daycamp in Oregon. These scholarships are crucial in helping families to pay for the camp, which (due to the need to hire specialists to work with the campers) costs significantly more than other local daycamps.
Thank you for the support of our children. Our kids both went to Camp Yakety Yak this summer. Both enjoyed the chance to be with other students and not worry about their special needs. The counselors were kind and patient and knowledgeable. Both my children had a chance to share their interests and to lead groups of students in activities, both big steps for them. Perhaps the best way to share the goodness is that both of them want to go back next year and to work their way into being counselors themselves. Thank you for the donation and support of CYY, our children and all children. It truly makes a difference in all of our lives.
Thank you so much for providing scholarship opportunities for Camp Yakety Yak! We are so appreciative for the experience our child had this year at camp, as a result of receiving tuition assistance!
My son received a scholarship to Camp Yakety Yak. They work so well with him, and he just loves the experience. We couldn't have made it without ASDF's help.
Thank you for the incredible opportunity for my 11 year old son to attend Camp Odakoda East this summer. It was amazing! The staff and volunteers made it such a rich and enjoyable experience for my son. The camp gave him exposure to activities and socialization that he wouldn’t otherwise have had. At times he was challenged outside of his comfort zone, but in a safe and accommodating environment. And he was also allowed to just be, without conforming to expectations of a neurotypical environment. We could not have had this experience otherwise. I am eternally grateful! Thank you for what you did for our family, and so many others!

I have two daughters with autism spectrum. they're home schooled and so don't get many opportunities to socialize and be around other children with medical condition similar. I heard about camp i am special from their therapist office and so I put an application in. I later found out the camp was overnight for 6 days and nights and the tuition was high. I almost lost faith in this opportunity for the girls to experience camp. I prayed hard and continuing seeking any solution to make this happen for them. I reached out to Autism spectrum foundation inc. and was overjoyed at their response to help us make the camp happen for the girls! I was at a loss for words, all I can say is thank you from the bottom of my heart. the experience has opened so many new doors for us and the girls surely had the experience to impact them for a lifetime! Thank you so very much !! My main hope is this organization can resume for eternity paving the way to these opportunities for our precious angels.

This foundation has helped our family get the financial assistance we needed so that my little man could go to Kids for Camp this summer. This camp has kept my son learning and growing in between school years and has also allowed him to make friends and have so much fun in the process! None of which would have been possible for us if it wasn't for the generous donations given to Autism Pensacola so that my son, and others like him could enjoy their summers together at Kids for Camp. Thank you Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation! We are so grateful for all that you've done and continue to do.

Help above and beyond what I could have ever imagined! I still get tears in my eyes remembering reading the email that day! Our family has been through a lot in the past year. In the mist of our mess Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation blessed us so very much. My husband has been off work since July of last year. He finally recieved a diagnosis earlier this year of a rare disorder. Our son is on the Autism Spectrum and I have been taking care of both of them. We had no income really since July of last year besides public assistance and our sons SSI (except our tax refund and income in January of this year) until June of this year. We were given a check last year which we used for many things. Our son was in his first year of middle school which can be rough on any child. We were able to get him some clothes, shoes, a coat, etc. We also got his Christmas. A PS4 with some games and a few other things he wanted like legos. We also got his supplements he needed from his doctors office. Also a few other things that needed taken care of. There is no way any of this would have even been thought possible as we were just struggling to pay bills and keep utilities on. With their help we were able to put a smile on our sons face and he was able to enjoy himself and have the Merriest Christmas possible (I say this as he was very sick over Christmas which combined with other things led to other issues which caused him to miss much of school the beginning of the year. He was able to ease back in but is still struggling to overcome some things.) Anyway... Thank you to the very special people that support this amazing foundation! If you are looking for an agency to donate to I highly suggest donating to Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation! They really are making a difference in the lives of people on the Autism Spectrum! Thank you again Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation for helping my family in our time of need, we really appreciate you!!!

Thank you to ASD Foundation for financial assistance and sending my 13 year old son to Camp Odokota. Making friends and being accepted is a big deal to just about anyone but this camp allowed my son to enjoy the outdoor adventures, play games, and make friends. The camp staff were exceptional. At the camp they did skits, learned new board games, went canoeing, talent show, and did crafts and were served very yummy meals. He came home happy and tired in a good way.
We truly appreciate your assistance as we would have never been able to afford this camp. I am a single mother and love to give my son fun summer memories to cherish.
Thank you,

This foundation provided the funds for my 3 year old son with autism to attend swimming class. We are so greatful to receive it! My son enjoyed every minute of swimming class and learned valuable skills that will assist with challenges due to this disorder, well as providing him with life saving techniques. Communicating with the foundation has been amazing and they have been so helpful to our family. We could never thank them enough!

This organization has been a Godsend to my son and I. Recently he received a target gift card to help fulfill his wants and needs for this Christmas. With the gift card, I will actually have the opportunity to provide my child with presents this year. Prior to finding out about this program, I had spent time being very worried about what Christmas would look like due to the financial strain that has occurred as a result of his recent diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder. Between the cost of occupational therapy, feeding therapy, speech therapy, evaluations and multiple physician appointments I felt extremely stressed. However, my search for help led me to the Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation. This wonderful organization took the time out to respond to me quickly (most organizations will not), treat me with a respect and provided me a wonderful sense of empathy. I really appreciate the fact that they have been so amazing to my son and I. Thank you so much Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation!

Hi my name is Leslie and the picture is my daughter Ashanti. She loves Aaron Acres . She gets to see and do things at the camp that she cant at other times. This awesome experience is available to her because of your grant and the monies you gifted to the camp, without which she would not be going and would be sitting at home all summer long. Not a fun way to live, learn , laugh and love. I thank you so much for the opportunities afforded to her and love watching her blossom and grow more every summer. Thank you for the wonderful gift. My son Jaxson was diagnosed with autism at the age of 2. At the age of 5 we found Aaron’s Acres, a nonprofit program where kids of any disability can go to a school year and summer program and just have fun and be a “normal” kid! It is a break for my husband and I and our other two kids but it’s also a break for Jaxson to just go and be free from the sometimes cruel judgements of this world. Without them, our summers would be much harder to get through! Autism spectrum disorder foundation inc. makes all of this possible as well! With their funding and support Aaron’s acres is more affordable for any family and our family is eternally grateful for that!

Today in the mail we recieved a gift card from this great organization for our son Jaxson who was diagnosed with autism at the age of 2. Jaxson is 8 now and still nonverbal and everyday is a challenge! Sometimes being a mother of an autistic child can feel very alone. This gift card does not just hold monetary value for our family. It makes me feel like someone has remembered him, remembered our family and the struggles we face everyday. I can't express enough how much this gift card means to our family and how much of a difference this foundation makes to children with autism. From the bottom of my heart, Thank you and God bless!

As a parent to a 3 year old with autism, I am beyond grateful to Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation Inc. They generously provided funds to our local Pensacola Autism Summer learning lab(camp) so that more and more families(like my own... ) had the financial means to afford to send our kiddos -to young adults to an amazing summer camp! This camp has all trained staff applying the principles of ABA to help each camper reach and exceed everyday, socially & individually important goals. It makes such a difference in their summers, and lives and their families lives and our community as a whole. We found Camp Odakota last year at a time my twelve year old niece needed it most. She had just started middle school and had discovered that the kids she once knew in elementary school as friends were suddenly strangers. She had never met another child with ASD and, was feeling alone. Excited was not a big enough word for how she felt when she learned that she would be camping with other kids that would finally "get" her. My sister is a single mom raising two kids on her own. She works very hard but never has enough for any "extras." Without the help from ASDF my niece would not have had the opportunity to finally attend a sleep away camp. She would not know the excitement of being reunited with old friends as well as knowing she will be making new ones. Camp is something all children should get to experience. Camp Odakota gives children with ASD more than a camp experience, for children like my niece, this is the one time out of the year she will feel as though she really fits in. Thank you ASDF for giving my sister the peace of mind knowing that she will not need worry about how she is going to send her daughter to camp this year!

My son has had the great opportunity to attend Camp Odakoda for several years now and it is mostly due to the very generous support of the Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation. Without the Foundation's support we would not be able to afford camp, but their generosity has made this wonderful opportunity possible. The happiest and most excited I have ever seen my son is when I pick him up from Camp Odakoda. It is a place where he is not only completely accepted but he is celebrated! We cannot thank the people who put their hearts and souls into Camp enough - it is truly a wonderful gift you are giving these kids.

This charity has helped to make my family's life change. It all started with a simple request for an iPad for my 4 year old autistic son. Many programs around my area and many others do not fund iPads for children on the autism spectrum, and we can't blame them. iPads get used for other purposes other then as a learning tool. I reached out to this charity and they blessed my family. My son, who is 4, is non verbal. He had maybe a vocabulary of 20 words. We needed an iPad to help him to talk, to learn how to talk. He uses one at therapy and it was starting to help. We wanted it a full time thing. We strictly agreed as parents just the LAMP app and that is all he will have access to, 5 months later and we have held our rule. And 5 months later he has told me for the first time how he has felt, that he loved me, and what makes him happy. We are beyond blessed for the gratitude of the donors to this charity. Without them my son would be able to finally tell me his wants and needs. So thank you. And please if you want to donate to a charity....this is the one. These children need these devices. It changes everything and brings many happy tears!!!
A very blessed and thankful family ❤️

As CEO of Autism Pensacola, I want to let you know how much we appreciate the donation you make to our Kids for Camp Summer Learning Lab! This generous grant will enable us to meet the needs of the most needy campers in our area. This camp provides ABA type teaching and training for teachers while allowing children with autism the opportunity to work on those priceless social skills. In fact, many typical teens volunteer at camp and decide to become teachers or therapists to work with our kids in their future! ALL of this is made possible through the generous donation of ASDF! What an amazing day it has been here at Autism Pensacola in Pensacola FL! We have been blessed to partner with ASDF for over 6 years now. They have provided scholarships for our summer camp as well as Holiday Gift Cards to us since 2011. As CEO of Autism Pensacola, the highlight of my holidays is when we get to distribute ASDF provided WalMart Gift Cards to our families in need to brighten their holidays. Today we have had many of the 37 families who qualified stopping by to receive their card. They are so grateful! We have seen many tears of joy and heard stories of the difference this gift will make for their children this Christmas. From the newly single mom who is struggling to make ends meet while meeting her kids' needs to the expecting mother who is on bed rest while trying to support her autistic 6 year old, everyone is so grateful. The icing on the cake is the support you sent beyond the gift card program to help a family who lost everything in a fire to get back on their feet in time for Christmas. This child who has been grieving for his favorite things that we lost will have so much joy when they are restored because of your gift!
Thank you so much for allowing Autism Pensacola to see the joy you provide for our neediest families. You truly make a difference for those living with autism! Thank you to everyone who supports ASDF! Your gifts enable us to be a blessing when it is so needed. Thank you! Thank you!!

Thank you very much for helping our Isabella receive equine therapy at Leap of Faith Acres in Hudson Florida. This is such a unique and awesome therapy that our Isabella has never had before. Isabella has Down Syndrome and Autism, and her Autism is challenging at times. She absolutely squeals with delight when she wakes up and knows it is "Horse" day! This gives her the necessary sensory input she is craving, and pushes her to do more and relaxes her too. Jennifer Shade is awesome at what she does there and she truly loves and enjoys what she does, it shows!
This organization is like magic. I live and work in Central Oregon as a psychologist. Our community is fairly remote due to mountains and a vast desert yet we have a rapidly growing population. ASDF has been incredibly supportive and responsive to our communities needs by making an incredible donation that will allow us to bring an overnight camp to Central Oregon. This camp will reach 40 youth with ASD this summer and we have plans to grow. Thanks to ASDF we will be able to get it off the ground this summer, a year sooner than we hoped at one point. I know once camp is off the ground the local community will wrap around us to ensure sustainability. Thank you for believing in our community and our ASD kids and families!

I have to say THANK YOU so very much for the help we received from ASDF. It was so wonderful to see that someone out in the Autism community cares as there are so many Autism Organizations that will not help like the say they will. We have a 16 year old high functioning PDD-NOS with ADHD son and unfortunately we had to use bills and mortgage money to pay for food for him because our local Snap office was incorrectly adding the incomes for the past year and we were getting under $100 a month when we should have been receiving $250. But we cannot get any of that back. Well because I had to feed him what could I do. Thank goodness for ASDF and their generosity and willingness to help. We are still behind in our mortgage, and utilities but this has helped tremendously and I have given them all some gotten them all to work with us. Thank you so much. God Bless everyone who donates to ASDF so they can help families in need. I pray that more organizations become more willing to help.

Four of our clinic families received gift cards from the ASDF for Christmas. I wish you could have seen the families' reactions when they received the news that they had been chosen, their reactions were unbelievably emotional and absolutely priceless! Family #1 has two little girls, ages 5 and 6, both have Autism. The girl's Father passed away just two months ago and Mom is now a single parent. They have had to move in with family members and the girls have had great difficulty comprehending what is happening and dealing with the associated transitions. Family #2 has a 17 year old son who is severely autistic, the parents were recently in a motor vehicle accident and are recovering this holiday season. Family #3 is a family of 5, they have a 4 year old with Autism. Family #4 also has two boys, ages 2 and 4, both with Autism. This family is currently in the middle of a difficult move. They wanted to share their ASDF gift and used part of their gift cards to purchase gifts for other families in our community who are touched by Autism. Thank you so much for bringing these families some much needed cheer this holiday season. Our clinic is so thankful for your foundation and for your continued generosity in our community.

Thank you so much to the kind people at Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation for the generosity they have bestowed upon my family. The Christmas gift card program has been a huge blessing to our family. Because of therapies 3 times a week for 2 children I had to leave my job, and Christmas this year just wasn't going to happen. Thanks to the Christmas card program I am now able to focus on my children's therapies and needs, while they focus on unwrapping Christmas presents.
Our family is so grateful, and thankful for ASDF! My middle child was recently diagnosed with Autism, and it has been an enlightening journey already! My son Caleb Jr has several head injuries that cause him to need help with most ADL's, communication, and guidance with his behaviors. Living paycheck to paycheck, or no paycheck at all, leaves us in a tight bind with getting essentials. Caleb Jr, is so thankful for his gift! Having an IPad helps him with his education, his social skills, and his play skills! Thank you so much ;)
ASDF really helped my family through their Christmas Gift Card Program. I was struggling to figure out how I could move things around in my already tight budget, but was stressing out when I thought Christmas was going to be very small. I got a phone call that I was receiving a gift card and it really made a big difference due to the fact that I didn't have to choose how to "tweak"my budget, and I was even able to get a few meals with it too. This has truly been a blessing to know my family will be smiling on Christmas Day and it is because of the generous folks at this organization ASDF that made it possible.

In a world where we are constantly bombarded with negative deeds and words, how refreshing to see an organization bringing positivity and light to those in need of help! I believe the Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation (ASDF) is a nonprofit that is truly making a difference in the lives of people with autism. I am an autism consultant working with Florida State University's Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (FSU CARD). Recently one of our clients and his family lost everything in a fire. This loss would be devastating for any family, but it is even more difficult for a family with a young son with autism. Through the kindness of friends at Autism Pensacola, Inc., who contacted ASDF and shared this client's need, the family was blessed to receive financial help just in time for Christmas. After I received the news of the generous donation for the family, I sat in my car and cried, my heart so touched by the giving spirit of complete strangers who would work together to give this family some assistance. Thank you, ASDF, for all you do!

ASDF provided a generous donation to my client's that had lost their home and majority of their belongings to a fire. The funds will allow them to rebuild their lives and get much-needed services in place as they process the trauma. I will absolutely contact ASDF on behalf of my clients in the future.

What do you say about a foundation that is moving mountains. I am a single mother that has been just wowed by this foundation and all that they have given us. My son is 4 and we have been trying for a long time to get him an IPad, he has always taken to tech he is in school and an IPad is what he uses at school and coming home after school was hard because he would go from being able to make his needs known to me guessing which was putting a strain on both of us. So thank you for making our day our world our life that much more easier. Words can not express how grateful we are. They have also helped me with the holidays which I was stressing over I try to buy the things that help him with everyday task you know toys that teach but they seem to be the ones are higher in price but well worth it and I try to pass along toys that once hes mastered to his PT or OT so that kids that are in need can learn. I know how hard it is and this foundation warms my heart and lets me know that there are good people in the world. I plan on asking friends and family to donate what ever they can to this foundation.
Thank you so much for all that you do
We received our iPad last week after having missed out on last years ipad funding...my son absolutely loves the iPad. He had a huge crack in his that only worked once in a while and it truly frustrated him. He is nonverbal and very low functioning needing help with all ADLs...however he knows exactly how to get to what videos he wants to watch..we live paycheck to paycheck and have fallen through the cracks for any assistance. We are so grateful to have received your gift. Bless you and thank you for helping us!

What do I say to an organization who has done so much for my family and other families affected with autism. I have three children that have autism and I am a single mother trying to provide for them. Without Parker Autism's partnership with Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation my family would not have been able to have a wonderful holiday season. My children would not have been able to go to summer Camp. They have helped use so several years now and I am so very greatly for them.

What a wonderful organization. They helped to provide our family with the much needed finances for summer camp programs and for Holiday help. They have helped us for several years through Parker Autism and we could not thank them enough for all they do. Our son is none verbal and needs a special camp and the funding they provide allows him to attend an awesome camp. Thank you for all you do and thank you to those who donate.
Dear ASDF,
Thank you for your support and continued, We would not have been able to do all that we do without your help. The $5000 that you donated to the foundation was used for the following programs, Backpack Program, Thanksgiving meals for families in need, a family in crisis, supplies for our holiday party, and we purchased 15 bikes for children with autism for the holidays. Our families are so grateful for your generosity and support.
Bless you all,
Parker Autism Foundation
Wow I can't tell you what a blessing ASDF is to our families at Parker Autism Foundation. We just received eight I-Pads for our families and 40 gift cards for our holiday program. What a Blessing they are to us.
Not only have they done the above but they granted 12 families grants to attend our summer camp program Camp Dakota. Again cant tell you enough how wonderful they are. Please continue to donate so that we can help more families in need affected with autism.

ASDF has changed the amount of families we are able to serve. Without their support we would not be able to help so many families. ASDF provides funding to our summer camp program, our Holiday Gift Giving Program and also provides I-pads to many of our families. ASDF and Michael are a blessing to us and to all of our families. We could not thank them enough for all they do. This organization is such a wonderful group and we are so grateful to have them as our partners in making a difference in families affected with autism. Thank you to all the supports of ASDF. Without your help ASDF would not be able to support our families and we in turn would not be able to help so many children.
I contacted ASD a little over a year ago. Was disappointed that they closed the program for IPADs due to not enough funding and when I heard that I though ok I will probably never hear anything else! I decided to contact them again since they had told me that they would open the program up again in Oct 2017, My son is 32 he has minimal communication skills he started a program at Penn State University for Adults for Speech this was his 5th semester and he is learning to use an I pad but with not having one for him to work with at home was a challenge and i felt we needed to get him one so he can continue on this journey of learning through technology that was not available for him when he had specialized services in the school system. So for this program we are greatful we received his IPAD about a week ago and it is a slow progress but a steady one so when i am gone he maybe able to communicate with others is my sole wish and I thank ASDF for they generous donation of the IPAD? A very greatful MOM
This year has been so tough on our family. In August, my husband, the sole provider for our family, lost his job and the insurance that accompanied it. My son had been attending therapy 4 days a week and we were unable to take him back. We have been struggling to both pay our bills and buy food. There was no way any kind of Christmas gifts were possible for my 4 year old autistic son this year.
I contacted the Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation (ASDF) about the holiday giftcard program. I was blown away by their kindness and generosity. Michael personally wrote me back and his secretary, Jan, was very kind and professional as well. They understand how tough it is for special needs families and they went out of their way to help us provide a Christmas for my autistic son. Because of ASDF and the holiday giftcard program, I can buy my son some more of the special cups he drinks from that have all worn out. His pajammas are all too small and now I can get him some more. In addition, because of the generosity of ASDF, we will also be able to get him a few toys from Santa Claus. When I say our family was impacted by the ASDF, I don't mean that we have had a momentary smile in our hearts, I mean that the ASDF has literally saved Christmas in our house. I cannot thank you enough for the assistance you provided to my son during this tough time and we will forever be grateful of your kindness. If you are looking for a genuine charity that truly makes an impact on families, the Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation surpasses the mark. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts.

I heard about this through another mother who also has a child on the spectrum. I have two autistic boys one higher functioning and one lower functioning. It was very easy I sent them via email a copy of my boy's psychological report and they responded very quickly. The gift card they have provided me is the only means I have to give my children a decent Christmas with things they can use and need to help with things pertaining to their dx. They were in contact with me every step of the way provided tracking numbers and followed up with me to make sure I got it. I am so grateful and appreciative because honestly with out this card my kids wouldn't have a Christmas. Unfortunate events happened with my vehicle and I had to replace the radiator twice in a two week span so Christmas gifts were the last of my priorities. This program is a god sent. It truely is. Thank you.

My son is six and is autistic.. we received a very generous Walmart gift card to help make his Christmas brighter. He's obsessed with emojis and often uses them to help communicate how he's feeling. We were able to buy him a whole emoji bedroom set. He's going to love it so much, we're so grateful because there's no way would would have been able to afford to get it for him. The costs of having a son on the spectrum leave little room for "extras" were very grateful this foundation was able to help us out!

ASDF gifted my family the holiday Walmart gift card. Our daughter is diagnosed with ASD, and money is always tight. This is going to make a huge difference for our family's Christmas. We are so appreciative of the generosity of this organization. There really are no words to describe our gratitude. Some days are tough, other days even tougher. Thank you for recognizing the need for programs like this in the Autism community, and filling that need. God Bless!

Because I have a special needs child, the Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation has provided my daughter and I with a $3oo dollar gift card to Wal-Mart, through MIsti Mixley from Clackamas Oregon. Misti's generosity has provided my daughter and I a wonderful Christmas by allowing me to buy new clothing for my daughter as well as things she likes the most, toys, Barbie dolls. Since my daughter is 8, it also allowed me to purchase a tablet that I can put learning games and things on to help her learn.
Once again, thank you to Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation, and Msti Mixley for this wonderful gift.
Merry Christmas from my family to yours.
I received a Christmas gift card via Autism Pensacola. It was such a blessing to be chosen by this organization to receive this gift. I was able to get my son a Christmas tree and a couple of other things he wanted for christmas. We are so grateful and appreciative for everything. Thank you so much.

I was chosen to receive a $300.00 gift card for Christmas, the qualifications were that my family be low income and have a special needs child. Well, I have a special needs adult child and I'm raising my grandson who is on the autism spectrum. This was such a surprise and such a great blessing. I received the card from Misti Mixley out of Clackamas Oregon. Receiving the gift card allowed me to provide my family with a great tree, nice dinner fixings and allowed me to purchase a special child computer tablet for my grandson. He had one before and over the course of two years wore it out. I didn't have the funds to replace it due to the expense. Now this year he can have another one. This tablet helps him with his frustration, fixations and attention span. The gift card also allowed me to get the one thing he asked for, a new bike. So thank you very much, this was a great unexpected surprise that we will treasure all this season. Whoever reads this please pass it along, please keep helping to support organizations and foundations that make such gifts possible.
My almost 4 year old had just received his autism diagnosis when I reached out to Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation. They were able to provide my family with a $300 Wal Mart gift card. Holiday gifts would have been out of reach this year with out that gift card! We have had to put a lot of work into our car to get our son to and from appointments. Thank you so much!
I wish I could give you more stars!! You are such and awesome company. Thank you for serving adults with autism-they get left out so much! Both my 'kids' still believe in Santa and miracles! ASDF is our miracle this Christmas. I am having surgery the week before Christmas and I don't know what I would have done without you! Autism Pensacola is a great support to our family and we will see Santa at their party this Saturday. I'm so glad they connected us with ASDF. Thank you again.

We are experiencing hard times and your organization has been a blessing to our family in this difficult time. There aren’t enough words to say Thank You!!!! From the Holley family
Our family was one of the families blessed by ASDF to receive a gift card for holiday assistance this year through Autism Pensacola. This is a wonderful organization that has helped other families like myself during the holidays to provide Christmas for their families and was our first year to be a recipient of one of these gift cards. Because of ASDF our family will be able to provide our 7 year old son Trey and his sister Saniah with a brighter Christmas. I'm very thankful for this organization and would recommend anybody that can get involved through fundraising to help support them and their ability to help families with children on the autism spectrum. Thank you so much to ASDF for making Christmas happen for my children this year.

The Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation is a blessing. My daughter is 8yrs old and nonverbal. She has a lot of behaviors. This has been a very trying year for her and my family. Her speech therapist said we will be moving her to a communication device soon. There was no way I could afford it. But you all made it possible. For my family. Being a parent of an Autistic Child is hard every thing is expensive. This IPad is life changing for Grace. After eight years she will be able to communicate. I thank you

My family has been struggling with medical bills related to my 13yr old daughter Who has ASD and scoliosis. She is in a full brace 18 hours of day. With her sensory issues it makes every day a long hard day and fitting in nearly impossible. When my daughter got excepted to go to represent her school in a conference in Washington DC . We we needed worry about her transportation to and from doctors appointments as well as therapies that medical insurance only pays a portion for was more important than going to represent her school . We knew that she was likely the only kid out of her school that was on the spectrum going on the a leadership trip and thanks to this foundation we did not have to choose. She is so very proud to go to this Leadership conference and represent not only her school but other kids who are on the spectrum. She has worked so hard over this past year to do the thing that most kids her age find natural such as shaking another person's hand or greeting adults and making an effort

We are a family of 5 . All boys 3 boys! They are the light of our lives. Never could we have imagined one would be diagnosed with autism or what that would be like. You just don’t know until you are knee deep and wading in the waves of all things autism. It’s like a world done a lil differently. My son is smart and funny and can speak and show emotion and we feel so blessed for that. Knowing others struggle there. We struggle in our areas as well and have struggled financially to provide all the therapies available to better his skills, and work on his challenges. When we heard about this Christmas donation I couldn’t believe it and when we received it , well that felt so heart fully amazing. To know people are out there understanding and acknowledging the struggle it truly means so much especially for the Holidays! And the staff that handles all the emails they are so sweet and professional. Lovely experience.
Thanks a bunch from our family to yours!
Happy Holidays

I was in a real bad place financially and was in desperate need of help for making Christmas possible for my son. I came across Austism Spectrum Disorder Foundation. I was told that we would receive a gift card for Christmas, once proof of ASD was received. When I received the gift card, I was blown away. I am a very modest and greatful person and was actually expecting maybe at the most $50. Let's just say that would have been enough for several toys. I received enough to purchase: toys, clothing, shoes, household supplies, a Christmas tree and a few food items. Without this organization, none of those items could have been bought. ASDF has truly blessed my family. I am so thankful that they are in existence and hope they always remain.
Forever Greatful,

The Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation has been a huge blessing to my family. My son is 8 years old and he is on the more severe end of the spectrum as he is nonverbal. I have been wanting to get him an ipad for some time now but just didn't have the extra funds to do it. I have applied at big name organizations in the past that have claimed to be giving out ipads but was never selected. I had basically given up on getting one through an organization. A friend told me about ASD foundation because she got a gift card last year so I applied as well and not only did my son get an ipad but also a gift card as well! I felt like we had won the lottery. He immediately took to this ipad and has loved it since. I immediately went to walmart and used the gift card to buy him a good sturdy case for his ipad so it would stay protected. I can't wait to take the rest of the gift card and buy him Christmas gifts. ASD foundation has been a huge blessing and I would recommend it to anybody that is looking for a good charity.

I am a single mother of four very unique children. This year has been very hard for us and I am in the process of being "released" from our lease in our home. Not everyone understands "special needs" and our loudness isn't smiled upon in our complex. After having to pay a deposit and rent for two places in one month my funds are depleted; Without the help of this foundation my sweet babies would have no Christmas this year. Thank you so much for stepping in when everyone else has stepped out.
My family and I are so thankful for the autism spectrum disorder foundation! They have helped my 3 year old who is on the autism spectrum more then they will ever understand! Last year around Christmas time they sent us a gift card for him to target and we were able to get him so many things we would normally not be able to afford. This year they sent him an iPad. I cannot put into words how much this has helped us and him. Apple iPads offer so many helpful apps for autistic children. It is a way for him to escape. To learn, and communicate. This is a great foundation who helps a lot of children. It is so hard to have a child with special needs. It's all worth it but it's not easy and having great non profits like this too help take the load of a bit is simply wonderful. Thank you!! - Jennifer Roach and family.

I recently emailed the Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation, asking if they helped with strollers for children on the spectrum. I specified my son who is 7 yo,and can walk perfectly fine, but he wanders and runs. Mr. Michael Slutsky emailed me quite quickly, and informed they would be more than happy to assist with the purchase of one. He just needed proof of his diagnosis and to email a picture of the stroller of my choice. I sent in my my sons papers, and a picture of what I had found. He quickly sent back the confirmation order, and my sons stroller will be here Monday. If it wasn't for Mr. Michael Slutsky and this amazing foundation, this would have never been possible. I can't thank you enough. I will be forever grateful!

We are very thankful to have been introduced years ago to the Parker autism foundation which provides so many things thru summer camps with loving, caring, special needs qualified teachers. The summer camps my daughter loves and waits anxiously for it to start again every year! The gifts at Christmas are awesome and my daughter gets things that make her continue to believe there is Santa! Thanks again to all who have ant part in leading, funding, loving this great program! Did i say thanks!!!!!!!

I am so thankful for the work that this organization does. I teach students with autism who are on an adapted curriculum and three of my students' families with low-income were recipients of the Christmas donation this year. It is such a blessing to know that these students are able to have much-needed Christmas presents regardless of parent/guardian economic status. Thank you!!!!!!

Without a question ASDF is one of the biggest blessing I could have received this year. Without them my children would not have had the chance to have a Christmas at all. I was able to buy a few presents and to have a holiday dinner. I even had enough left to get a much needed twin mattress for my son. ASDF has also helped my kids go to summer camp. Through there grants to Parker Autism Foundation my kids are able to attend Camp Dakota. So thank you ASDF for your partnership with PAF. My family could not do this without both of you.
Good Evening, hank you for all you have done I greatly appreciate the support and the thoughtfulness you put into me.
Sincerely, Rashida Cox Happy Holidays
ASDF has been such a blessing to my family. Their help has helped Parker Autism Foundation to provide our family with the much needed finances for summer camp programs and for Holiday help. Without their help our family would not be able to provide my son with the needed summer camp program or to have a holiday. We are Blessed and grateful for ASDF and all they do.

My son Daniel James has autism and is non-verbal. I am a single parent raising Daniel with low income. I did not have any way of purchasing Christmas gifts for Daniel this Christmas. However, I am honored and grateful to have been given assistance by the Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation, because of them Daniel had a fantastic Christmas! May God continue to bless this organization as they endeavor to help individuals that are in desperate need. Thank you and have a wonderful Happy New Year! Sincerely, Devora James

Thank you! I have a 15 year old son who is under the spectrum and I was searching looking for something for him and came across this wonderful foundation. Because of your Christmas gift card program I was able to make this Christmas a very bright one see we are on a limited income and struggle to keep up and this gift card really helped. Thank you for your generosity
Dear ASDF,
Thank you for your partnership with Parker Autism Foundation. Because of your kind, generous support, my grandson with autism could not otherwise afford these life-enhancing activities. Camp scholarships definitely helped Ryan be comfortable where activities really suit him. The Parker Autism Foundation has provided him great role models and many friends to be comfortable in sharing his own unique personality with others. Shelley and staff know him so well they know exactly the holiday gifts that will be his favorites!
Sincerely,
Linda Brown

ASDF - We can not thank you enough for bringing such joy and much needed opportunities to our family through your support to Parker Autism Foundation. Our son has limited verbal skills, but this was the first year he was able to express his (specific) Christmas wish/gift and that is HUGE! And watching the magic unfold, seeing his face light up when he opened his gifts were priceless! Because of you, we were able to make his Christmas wish come true! And thank you for your generous support to help finance camp scholarships for our son and so many other families where there is a tremendous need in our area for these types of services! Words cannot express our gratitude to your foundation.

A lot of programs claim to help the Autistic
But This foundation is one of the True ones that actually give back, I am on a fixed income and didn't expect much,So when they blessed my daughter with
A gift card to pick what she truly wanted,I almost cried.

My daughter, Isabella was diagnosed with autism 4 years ago and life has intermittently been a living hell for both of us. This Gift Card has enabled me to purchase a gift my daughter has been wanting for a long time and we are both grateful to God, your foundation and the generous donors. THANK YOU!
