Review for Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation Inc, Schererville, IN, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I am raising 2 boys and am low income. My oldest boy is 9 and has severe autism in addition to having Down Syndrome. He's non verbal and a runner.
His little brother is 4 and will be evaluated soon. I suspect he might have what used to be called Aspurgers but now is just considered high functioning autism.
Your generosity is greatly appreciated.
If you don't deal with autism you can't understand all an iPad helps with.
There are apps to help communicate turning the iPad into a speech device and giving them a voice.
Other kids want to see an iPad and therefore it facilitates inclusion.
It allows for inspiration and learning as well. It can be another way to see modeling of speech and behavior as well as things to try.
I can't afford to do what Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation does but it's much needed. Thanks for your donations to them so they can help my boys and others!

My family is a grateful recipient of ASDFI ! I am a single mom with 2 boys at home. Phoenix is neurotypical 2 year old boy with some speech delays that he's getting therapy for. Leontonē is 7 years old and is dual diagnosed with autism and Down Syndrome.
I make enough with my part time income and Leontonē's SSI that they cut our food stamps but not enough to do more than basics anymore. So ASDFI made a world of difference for the boys for the holidays. It might not of been so merry without them. And Leontonē's iPad isn't just for speech. It's everything to him. Can you believe he's teaching his little brother how to use it?! That's great for both of them . It builds communication for both, their bond strengthened and I'm sure Leontonē's self esteem is built up by being able to teach and Phoenix's by learning. Please continue to support this charity. I know two boys and others like them, that are saying thank you right now and that without your generosity would be missing out in big ways
