Nonprofit Overview

Causes: Autism, Disabilities, Health

Mission: The goal of ASDF is to support children with an autism spectrum disorder by providing information, education and financial assistance to their families and relevant community service organizations. Funds donated to ASDF will be used to address any and all kinds of issues in assisting children with autism and their families. By providing financial assistance to families and autism-specific organizations, together we are able to give autistic children and their families the resources they need to grow.

Programs: The foundation educates the public about autism; provides families with tools and educational materials to assist in the early detection of autism as well as tools to treat children suffering from autism; and provides families of people suffering from autism with information on programs available to assist them. The foundation provides financial assistance to the families and relevant community service organizations that help people suffering from autism. In the past 8 years, ASDF has provided financial assistance to approximately 2,740 families who have children on the autism spectrum. The financial assistance went for camp scholarships, swimming lessons, horse therapy lessons, iPads, gift cards, etc. During the same period of time, we provided autism awareness information to approximately 3,178,000 new mothers across the United States through our autism awareness program. Through our 2018 iPads for Kids Programs, we were able to send 103 iPads to children who are nonverbal. Our 2018 Holiday Gift Card Program provided 319 gift cards from Walmart and Target to families who needed assistance.

I wanted to send my autistic son to camp, but the cost was just too much, we reached out to Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation. They helped us gladly, with such a smile. My son had an amazing summer, so did the other kids in the family, they finally got their much needed attention, without their brother.
Thanks Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation for making this happen.
Miriam.

This particular organization actually helps autistic people in general as a whole with the mission to improve the lives of families affected by autism.
The IPad program has brought smart home technology that has truly made such a meaningful experience for my sons, Roger Lee, Isaic Benton and My king Hunt.
The apps that my son play on a regular to what seems like all day with the exception of school and Aba tberapy had encouraged them to be educated with daily living skills and social skills.
I will be sharing my one and only non profit's EIN Number world wide to encourage others to contribute consistent donations that will in return advance the learning of children faced with every day challenges on the spectrum.
Donate Today! Be a Blessing and change someone's life for the better.

I'm very grateful for the Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation, Inc. They provide a wealth of knowledge and support. And this Christmas our family was given a gift card from them to help our family enjoy the holiday even more. As anyone knows, having children with special needs is sometimes taxing and often expensive. What a huge blessing to be supported by others!

My son Grant goes to Kids For Camp every year and benefits from it so much. He enjoys it and learns so much from the program. His speech has improved so much and he loves being with peers. ASDF contributes to the program and without their help my son would not be able to attend Kids for Camp. We truly appreciate it!

ASDF is such a wonderful organization that helps families all over the United States that have loved ones living with autism. Funds that they have shared with Autism Pensacola in 2018 has directly benefited my 9 year old son with autism to allow him to attend Kids for Camp and receive a gift card for Christmas. Without the help from ASDF, my child would have not received assistance to attend camp and Christmas would have not been a great as it was this year. Thank you for all you do for families like mine all over the United States. You all rock!

Thank you for your generous gift. Heather wouldn't have had much of a Christmas without it. We've been surviving on 750.00 a month for over two years. We are now facing foreclosure along with homelessness. So you can see how much your gift meant to her. She still believes in Santa claus, and your gift to her was able to help keep that innocence alive. Thank you again, Carla and Heather
PS I tried to add a photo but it would never let me upload one. Sorry

This is Gabriel, I stumbled upon this profit when I was searching for ways to make his Christmas special. He was diagnosed at the early age of 2, he is now 3 and starting to make progress. With my husband being military we aren’t able to go home this Christmas and wanted to make his Christmas extra special. Receiving this gift card for $100 has made such a difference for us and him and we know he will love all his gifts. We look forward to being able to donate in the near future and help other families the way it has helped us.

My son is 6 years old, severely autistic and non-verbal. I accidentally found this non-profit on google. I knew nothing about them but knew I needed help buying my child a Christmas gift, so I decided to apply. Michael immediately reached out to me to let me know my son was placed on the wait list for a gift card and if funds were available, they would consider sending him a card preloaded with $100 from either target or Walmart. I honestly figured funds wouldn’t available and he wouldn’t get the gift card. However the gift card unexpectedly arrived in the mail just a few weeks afterwards. I immediately went to Walmart and purchased some educational toys for him to use during his in home aba therapy sessions. I am very grateful of this wonderful gift and would encourage any company to donate to this non-profit! Doing what you can to ensure a child has Christmas gifts is an awesome thing to do! I will never forget this generous act of kindness!

I reached out not knowing anything about this organization or what to expect...I just knew that I needed some help. I got a reply that I would be put in a waiting list. I put it out of mind figuring that meant no. Much to surprise I got a $100 Walmart gift card that provided a way for me to make Christmas special. I owe a huge thank you!!!!

I have 2 son's and my youngest has Autism, IDD and mental illness. He is 15 years old but functions around 9 or 10. I have my own medical issues and the only income in the home is my son's SSI. I contacted many local organizations for Christmas help and due to his age I could not find any assistance. I contacted the Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation and was immediately contacted by Michael Slutsky. The only information he asked me for was proof of my son's diagnosis of Autism. He contacted me immediately and told me my son was added to the list for a $100 Gift card. I was very excited because my son doesn't understand that I didn't have money for the holidays. My son has been doing gymnastics in the yard and has been asking for a Trampolinee for almost 2 years. With the $100 Walmart Gift card I received yesterday I was able to purchase him a Trampoline. I am very thankful to the Autism Spectrum Foundation for their support and assistance. They gave my family the opportunity to have a wonderful Christmas. My son will be able to receive the gift he has wanted for 2 years. Thank you very much and I am forever grateful to the Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation.

I'm so grateful to this organization for its continued support of our nonprofit, Autism Pensacola. The Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation has provided monetary help to our Kids for Camp summer program and our Christmas assistance program. Without their gifts, we wouldn't be able to serve as many families. They truly make a difference in Northwest Florida!
