Nonprofit Overview

Causes: Autism, Disabilities, Health

Mission: The goal of ASDF is to support children with an autism spectrum disorder by providing information, education and financial assistance to their families and relevant community service organizations. Funds donated to ASDF will be used to address any and all kinds of issues in assisting children with autism and their families. By providing financial assistance to families and autism-specific organizations, together we are able to give autistic children and their families the resources they need to grow. In the past seven years, ASDF has provided direct financial assistance to over 2,150 families who have children on the autism spectrum. The financial assistance went for camp scholarships, iPads for children who are nonverbal, swimming lessons, horse therapy lessons and holiday gift cards. During the same period of time, we provided autism awareness information to approximately 2,478,000 new mothers across the United States through our autism awareness program.

Programs: The foundation educates the public about autism; provides families tools and educational materials to assist in the early detection of autism as well as tools to treat children suffering from autism; and provides families of people suffering from autism with information on programs available to assist them. The foundation provides financial assistance to the families and relevent community service organizations that help people suffering from autism.

This year has not been easy for our family. We have dealt with a lot of unforeseen issues and challenges as well as financial and health struggles. Your gracious donations have given us the opportunity to give our children a wonderful holiday and for that we are so very grateful. Thank you & God Bless!

My family is facing financial struggles this year and my child is a victim of child abuse by his once classroom teacher . He is self contained and limited speech and he is facing many traumatic challenges and the expenses are really extensive. This Autism spectrum disorder foundation gave us a holiday gift card for my child and this is such a blessing and great help to me and my child. This is such a relief knowing that this will be a wonderful Christmas for him.

I would like to show my sincere gratitude as well as up most appreciation for myasdf.org foundation! My sons name is Myking Lee Hunt and he is nonbverbal and does not speak just yet! This foundation had been there to meet my every need as I continue to grow as well as learn more and more about how autistim affects each child differently. This organization came through for not just one child year after year with no disapointment every christmas. I will share how this organization made mykings face lite up like a christmas when the post man delivered his iPad. I have never seen him more happier and receptive in the two years since I've had him.
I will make sure I share the word so that continuous donations are made in support of there awesome mission of changing the lives for the better for children against the odds.
Thank You
Cynthia Benton

Where to start...the B+ Foundation came to our aid as we needed them oh so badly! Without them our visit to St. Jude's in Tennessee would not be possible! I cannot express the gratitude we have for this foundation. If there's ever a foundation to help donate to my first recommendation would be the "B+ Foundation!!!" Thank you all so much for your help and support

Thank you so much for your generous donation of 12 iPads for my students with autism. My students, parents, and myself will be utilizing these iPads for effective communication skills teaching. The technological features on the iPads give my students a voice and means with which to participate in classroom activities and assignments. Thanks again for securing these iPads for my students.

In December, 2017 my daughter passed away unexpectedly, I became the legal guardian to her children, one of which was ten years old, nonverbal and with severe autism. This child was Estreya or Bella, as we call her. Bella was using an IPad for both the applications specifically for autism (and speech) as well as to calm down when the world became overwhelming however, the IPad quit working that same month and we could not afford to fix or replace it. Bella and her mother loved to interact and play some of the games that were on the IPad and losing both the same month was very hard for her. I contacted the Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation and this month, they sent us an IPad for Bella! What was even more special was that her mother passed away on December 18 and Bella's birthday is December 12, so this generous donation was a combination Birthday and Christmas gift. It made Bella so happy to have something that both reminded her of happier times with her mother and will help her in learning how to better communicate. Being that she will turn eleven on December 12, she was getting very frustrated at trying to let people know what she wanted. This gift is life changing for her and for us! I cannot begin to express how much this gift means! We will be forever grateful to the Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation for helping this little girl have a chance to a better life!
Sincerely, Cheryl Trujillo

Michael and his staff could not be any easier to work with, they were very clear with what their capabilities were and even quicker supplying our family with an iPad for our three-year-old son with autism who has difficulty communicating. His iPad calms him down when he gets worked up, is allowing him to learn words in a manner easier than traditional teaching, and better allows him to share how he feels. We are extremely grateful to Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation for their generosity.

This organization is wonderful. They are patient and so kind. As a single mother to a ten year old boy with autism the use of an iPad implanted into daily life will be great! I have downloaded some social skills apps, communication apps, and educational apps that will hopefully make a difference in his life. He struggles in many areas of life especially when not at home with peers. Thank you so much for all of the help that you gave us.

Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation Inc has been amazing to my family. My son was diagnosed with ASD, ADHD, and several other diagnosis and is currently 4 years old. He has very sporadic speech, maybe 20 words or so on a good day. I heard about Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation Inc from a Facebook group I am in where another mother talked about the iPad she got for her son as a speech device. I contacted ASDFI and told them our story, and was told that if the funds were available, they would be able to provide my son the iPad he needs. Just a month later, the iPad showed up in the mail. It's been such a huge blessing, and being a family with 2 special needs kids, we were not able to afford one on our own. When the time comes that we have extra money, we are going to pay it forward and donate to ASDFI.

I would like to thank ASDF for providing my non-verbal son with a iPad. He can now learn to communicate with us through his tablet. This was such a blessing that we got it right before Christmas.

I can’t thank you enough for the hope you’ve brought to my family. The kindness from you all at ASDF and this message from a mother of an Autistic child, you all truly touched my family’s heart.

Having a non verbal child is hard and you all made it a little more easy.

God bless you all & happy holidays

Thank you ASDF! You have provided my son with a tool to use to help decrease his communication barrier and to use as a learning tool! Our son is on the spectrum with limited speech and relies on his family and teachers to assist him throughout his day by understanding him. With his iPad, our son will be able to show his sweet, quirky personality to more people that he meets. ASDF, thank you! Thank you for your interest in improving and supporting those on the spectrum. Your organization IS making differences in the lives of our sweet and loving children!
An appreciative mother
