In a world where we are constantly bombarded with negative deeds and words, how refreshing to see an organization bringing positivity and light to those in need of help! I believe the Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation (ASDF) is a nonprofit that is truly making a difference in the lives of people with autism. I am an autism consultant working with Florida State University's Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (FSU CARD). Recently one of our clients and his family lost everything in a fire. This loss would be devastating for any family, but it is even more difficult for a family with a young son with autism. Through the kindness of friends at Autism Pensacola, Inc., who contacted ASDF and shared this client's need, the family was blessed to receive financial help just in time for Christmas. After I received the news of the generous donation for the family, I sat in my car and cried, my heart so touched by the giving spirit of complete strangers who would work together to give this family some assistance. Thank you, ASDF, for all you do!
