Review for Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation Inc, Schererville, IN, USA
Aaron's Acres is a non-profit organization that provides year round recreational programs to children and young adults with developmental disabilities. ASDF has been most generous in supporting our programs by providing scholarships to some of our families who are facing financial challenges. During COVID, our families struggled as their employment was either terminated or the number of hours of employment were decreased. As a result, their ability to pay for our programs was negatively impacted. ASDF's support is ensuring that families can register their children at Aaron's Acres without adding more stress to their already full plate (of stress). Everyone at Aaron's Acres feels blessed with this relationship that we have with ASDF.

Aaron's Acres is a non-profit organization that provides year round recreational programs to children and young adults, ages 5-21 with developmental disabilities. For this summer (2019), we received an extremely generous donation from ASDF to support families who wished to send their children to the camp program, but needed financial assistance. Helping these families financially allowed these families to register their children for our program and not experience additional stress regarding how they would pay for it. Too often our families face numerous stressors as they raise children with varying challenges. For this summer, the families who received this type of support were able to relax a bit and know that their children were in a safe, supportive, therapeutic setting, focusing on building and strengthening socialization and communication skills. Thank you to ASDF!

I am the Executive Director of Aaron's Acres. We are a non-profit organization that provides year round recreational programs to children and young adults, ages 5-21 with developmental disabilities. During the summer, we have a camp program that serves over 200 children. As a result of receiving a grant from the Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation, eight families who were facing financial difficulties were able to register their children (diagnosed with having autism) for camp. One of the campers on the first day of camp said, "I see my friend, Matt". Mom shared that her son never said the words "my friend". Thank you to this Foundation for supporting these families and for helping to create wonderful memories! Role: Professional with expertise in this field

I am the Executive Director of Aaron's Acres. We provide year round recreational programs to children and young adults, ages 5-21 with developmental disabilities in central PA. This past summer, we were blessed with receiving funds from ASDF to support families who needed scholarships in order to attend our camp program. Now, once again, we are blessed with being able to give 12 families gift cards for the holiday season, paid for by this foundation! ASDF has been most generous to our organization and has truly helped our families. So many of our families face challenges as they raise children who have autism; by having this financial support from ASDF, their stress level is lowered and they feel taken care of by others! Thank you for your generosity; you are truly making a difference in our families' lives!

I am the Executive Director of Aaron's Acres which is an organization that provides year round recreational programs to children and young adults, ages 5-21 with developmental disabilities. This summer, as a result of receiving scholarship funding from ASDF, 8 families (that have financial limitations) are able to enroll their children diagnosed with having autism to our camp program. Without this funding, scholarships would not have been provided to these families resulting in their children being at home most of the summer, without opportunities to work on socialization and communication with their peers. Everyone involved with our organization is most grateful for this type of support!
