This rescue is the worst rescue I have ever dealt with. I was kind enough to adopt a 10 yr old sheltie that was surrendered. She was acquired from Alabama by this rescue as a puppy. The same family had her for the whole time. Pack9 put her up for adoption. I saw her picture and fell in love. I filled out the applcation, drove to Reading,PA, paid $400 for her and brought her home. The only information I was told is that she bite one of the children and the wife insisted she. It turned out that she was not socialized and not knowing her background, professional training did not work. Long story short, I wrote an email to the rescue stating that I wanted to surrender the dog. She nipped at the pants of a visitor AND turned to me and nipped me! At this point I had her for 8 months. The rescue gave me such a hard time and said they wouldn’t take her back because they didn’t foster her. But you took my $400!! Wound up, I had to have her behaviorally euthanized and pay $210.

We absolutely LOVE this group of people and their mission! They save as many fur babies as they can from high kill shelters in the south and bring them to Pa to be adopted. They make sure to get to know if a dog can be with children, cats, other dogs etc. <br><br>The application is easy to complete. They are very diligent about finding a home that will be a good fit and take loving care of their new pet! The process was much easier than I expected! I was worried that we wouldn’t be able to adopt because our yard isn’t fenced in and it seemed like for many other rescues this was a requirement. While they checked with our vet to be sure we provided yearly and as needed care and called our references, they did not require multiple home visits or visits with the family… they only asked us to bring all family members in the house including our current dog to meet our new dog. When the foster mom decided we were a good fit, she asked if we were still interested in adopting Charlotte and we went home with her that day! They were diligent though and wanted to make sure she would be loved! <br><br>While we are not able to foster dogs we were able to be there one night when a transport van pulled up to give dogs to foster families. It was one of the most touching and memorable experiences ever. <br><br>If you don’t love your fur baby like a family member, keep them inside, love on them, have time to spend with them, and take good medical care of them, then don’t apply ( and maybe reconsider your desire to have a dog at all)!! But if you can do all of that then this is a wonderful way to gain a new best friend!

You guys saved my home and kept my family together when I had my chest cracked open at 21years old. I had a young bride and young son and almost lost it all. You not only saved my home, but gave us so much in grocery food cards that we were instantly stable again with time to focus on healing (I literally had my sternum sawed in half and almost died with 18days in ICU). Now, this year, they removed the lower left lobe of my lung at 39. My young small family is now 39, 39, 16, 14, and 10. I'm very sick with a poor prognosis. Just approved for LTD waiting for SSDI. No money has come in yet and now two payments behind on our home totalling $1,288 for both. My first check is only $1,260 and not here yet. We've sold our wedding rings and bought all the time we could. We are desperate again. Sadly in my death my family will be more stable then ever economically. I'm very distraught and remember only you as being the only true savior that helped us then. We have poorer family and the church can't commit the help we need. We truly need just a hand across this gap. Not even a hand up. If we can survive this month, disability will support me and us until the end or social security takes over. I am writing this at 1:30am as I can barely sleep any more from my current med side effects. (So many meds). I just pray you guys can be a saviour to my family one last time. Between now and my regular payments that start on Oct 23rd, I'm almost hopeless. Any help or aid of any kind would be so desperately appreciated. Please respond if a helping hand in anyway can help us across this gap. If we don't get over this hump, I may well die homeless and worse yet, Lea e my family homeless. Even basic supplies will free up any money we can scrounge up to cover our debts. Please help if possible.
