Had a great experience with HHI when I volunteered as a nurse, they do incredible work for the community.

Partners is an organization dedicated to supporting and changing the lives of their clients and community. The whole staff is passionate about what they are working towards and, when working with them, is just as committed to sharing the knowledge of Partners' mission. Their services are a vital and inspiring part of the New Jersey community.

My experience with Heads Up Hartford is as a parent whose kids attended as campers. I was always glad my children chose to join in the HUH experience and make a difference in our community. I have also attended as a volunteer and have seen first hand how the camp brings together teenagers to provide service to the surrounding communities.

I was looking for help for Motel voucher my husband passed away and then the owner of my home sold his home and we had to move out then living in motels trying to make it I have a son and four animals so I cannot go to a shelter I'm waiting to get into an apartment but that won't be until tomorrow so I need one more night if you can help with the voucher

I had a terrible experience with Fidelco. I was not in the service and wanted to donate a dog to a vet. They were very happy to take my $45,000, cost of training one dog, and never found a donor so I could feel grateful and fulfilled. A very nice lady called me once a month to say they had no recipient. Terrible management and never got a call from any exec. After months of them saying they had no deserving vets I said it does not need to be a vet - they dropped me.

I have been a part of the mission of Mary's Meals for 10 years now and love it for its beautiful simplicity and invitation to all to participate. The community members of the children served are invited to participate in this mission and it couldn't do without them. There are over 80,000 volunteers in Malawi alone! Mary's Meals serves daily meals to hungry children in their place of education to encourage them to attend school and gain an education that can lift them from poverty. Because Mary's Meals engages the volunteer help of the local community members of the school to serve the meals to the children, these community members are given the ability to be a part of the solution to provide food for their children. Also, the cost to feed 1 child for a whole school year is just $21.00. That allows donors like me to really make an impact with our support and receive the joy of truly making a difference in the lives of these children. Today Mary's Meals is feeding over 1.6 million children every school day. Even when the schools closed due to Covid-19 they found a way to get the food to the children learning at home. The founder of Mary's Meals received a top 10 CNN Heroes award in 2010 for his work and the work has grown and multiplied to feed children in food insecure communities in 19 countries around the globe. It has also become a global family of supporters united in this beautiful work. Besides it's grassroots model of fundraising, each year at Thanksgiving Mary's Meals USA hosts a virtual walk/run to unite the family of supporters in solidarity with the children who receive Mary's Meals, some of whom walk a tremendous distance to get to school and receive the meals. When I was disabled after a bad accident & could not work, Foodshare was my rescue. Gloria McAdam was my hero, telling me & my friend (who drove my car) how to get foodstamps, & good, gently-bruised food at low prices. I would have been hungry & destitute without Foodshare. Over time, my financial circumstances changed, & I am happy to donate to Foodshare.

Healing Meals is at the forefront of the "Food is Medicine" movement. The mission of providing nourishing meals to those dealing with a health crisis while empowering our youth is powerful!

Not sure of exactly what this Nonprofit does. The main address listed is one bedroom apartment in a condo complex. The individual listed as the Principal Officer (Sondra Glatt) recently passed away. Presuming there are funds involved with this organization someone from the organization needs to claim them on behalf of the organization. Not even sure if there were other members or Officers of the organization.

This is one of the best things that have ever happen in Bloomfield for our youth. My kids and I have been at the back to school fair for the last 5 years getting free backpacks and school supplies and picking up resources to help me in several situations. I hope they continue to have this event year after year and whomever is responsible for putting this together I just want to thank them so much for helping me out year after year.

I volunteered for this organization in June 2011. They made it as difficult to volunteer as humanly possible. I joined the media committee and had to sign document after document stating that I would not discuss issues that arose in meetings, would not post on social media sites, was not to contact other volunteers, was not to contact the 501(c)3 board. I joined to post animals on petfinder- They had not posted a single animal for the animal shelter in 6 months. It took over 2 months for them to give me a password and even then they didn't give me the admin priviledges to post files and kept asking me to update the files on petfinder....but I couldn't. The long term in-shelter volunteers were great , cared deeply about the animals and knew their stuff. Shelter management was a farce and didn't care if animals were adopted or not. I would not volunteer for this group again. I WOULD NOT DONATE MONEY TO THEM EITHER.

The NFB of NJ is avery helpful organization for the blind and visually impaired. They provide specific information regarding special training in all areas for the blind including personal living skills i.e. cooking, cleaning, travel etc. They provide sholarships to worthy blind and VI students. They offer infirmation about almost any area of life activity
