Georgia Dog Advocates does a little of everything - rescue/foster, distributing preventatives and free dog food, and providing free spay-neuter for dogs in families who need a little help. The compassion in this group really comes through at every outreach event with conversations with each dog owner to see where GDA can educate and assist - whatever the need may be. Meeting needs is all about getting to know people, and this is what GDA does really well over and over, through conversation and follow up. Many people return to our events to see us and share how their pups are doing! We are building connection and community, and the result is people feel supported. And the bottom line is dogs and people are getting much needed help.

I'm Bob Evans and live in Ball Ground with my wife Mary. Back in 2003 an unknown deadly virus entered our 23 year old son's heart and in approximately 10 days destroy 80% of his heart's ability to work. The transplant team at St. Joseph's Hospital examined Jeff's heart and determined he had approximately 6-8 months to live and a heart transplant would extend his life greatly. This put our family on a path of despair and never knowing how our family could handle all that waited for Jeff to do and our family providing the support required to see this through. <br>Jeff lost his life 3 years later waiting for a heart transplant that never came. Living in the transplant world taught our family an overwhelming need that is left undone by the medical world. Much evaluation and research lead us to learn that we could bring a new level of assistance and help for all transplant patients. <br>We brought into existence the Jeffrey Campbell Evans Foundation 7 years ago and the benefits offered are excellent. To date, we've helped over 180 Georgian families through the difficult time of a transplant operation and the lengthy recovery period. <br>The Jeffrey Campbell Evans Foundation furnishes large 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom, living room, dining room, laundry, patio, full furnished living quarters near Emory, Children's Hospital of Atlanta and Piedmont Hospital. <br>Our 501 C 3 non-profit foundation is registered with the Federal Government. <br>As an individual or owner of a company your donations will impact an adult or child's life. <br>Following a patient's transplant patients are required to find lodging near the hospital. They are required to visit the medical team often between 45-60 days following surgery prior to going home. Art of Living Coalition has been serving Art, Music & Recreation to those In recovery, including veterans from PTSD. Many have exclaimed, through retreats & therapeutic art sessions, a healing remission from addiction and physical ailments.
