I joined the Women Veterans Interactive Foundation (WVIF) in November 2017, thanks to a sister veteran I barely knew at the time, who has since become a close friend. Since then, I’ve reconnected with women I hadn’t seen in years and built new relationships with others who share more than just military service. These women truly understand the unique challenges, strengths, and transitions that come with being a woman veteran.<br><br>What I found at WVIF is something I didn’t even realize I needed. This community was created by a woman veteran who recognized the gaps in support and took action to build a space specifically for us. It’s rooted in service and filled with women who uplift one another and support each other’s growth, both personally and professionally.<br><br>WVIF offers more than just programs and events; it brings us together through shared experiences and creates a space for connection that heals, empowers, and reminds us we’re not alone.<br><br>If you’ve ever felt like something was missing after service, whether it’s connection, community, or support, this is where you’ll find it.<br><br>Join us. Here is what one volunteer said about LFFP. <br><br>"Oh, it's hard to sum it up , and especially in words. If you could just feel the energy, and love I feel right now just thinking about it!!!<br> <br>My first identity is that of a woman, which encompasses so much. I believe that we as women have a great responsibility to the world, by giving birth and raising children to be the leaders, lovers, and peacemakers who make decisions, take actions, and form our world.<br> <br>LFFP has been so much for me: a safe haven when I think there's no other peaceful place to be; a support group where I can learn, share ideas and continue growing; a creative and free place where I know that I'll always be accepted the way I am. These are some of the benefits and reasons why LFFP has been an amazing place for me on my life's journey, but to think how it impacts the lives of so many other people, is just amazing to me.<br> <br>I've seen the magic that MJ and Jerry weave with everyone they meet. It moves me emotionally as I write this, just to think of it. They bring peace, love, and acceptance wherever and with whomever they are.<br> <br>My only hope is to emulate what they are doing and share that peace, love and acceptance as best I can.
