Background
As of December 2011, 13 million US citizens don't have a job. In addition to fewer job opportunities, many people don't know where to find a job, find it difficult to start the search for a career, and lack some of the basic skills.
Fortunately, nearly 30,000 nonprofits exist to fight the rising unemployment rate. They help people find employment and prepare for new jobs by teaching them how to create a resume and use a computer.
You can help others find success by volunteering or donating to a job training organization near you.
