I’ve volunteered with Soldiers Angels for almost a decade. The money you spend goes directly to the soldiers you are supporting because you choose how you support other than a validation fee which is nominal . It is truly a chartity that exists because of its volunteers and offers a direct way to care for our deployed armed forces while also providing assistance to veterans. I couldn’t be prouder to be able to serve those who serve with the assistance of this team.
I have enjoyed being a Soldiers Angel. Love to send cards and letters hoping to brighten their day. I’m working on two care packages to go out soon filed with all kinds of goodies.
Soldiers’ Angels is a fantastic organization! You can be as involved as you want, from sending one letter/card a month to many things every day. The website is well-organized and very easy to use. I highly recommend volunteering to be a Soldiers’ Angel.
Wow! This is a fabulous way to volunteer from the comfort of your comfy chair at home. I am a member of almost all the teams and I love it! I send letters, cards, cookies, and care packages. I am very involved in this, spending time almost every day doing something as a Soldiers’ Angel. You can choose your level of involvement, even just sending one letter a month makes a difference. It’s a wonderful feeling knowing that I am making a deployed military person or veteran smile and feel appreciated. I highly recommend volunteering and supporting Soldiers’ Angels.
I joined this non-profit in March. Not only am I inspired by the vast good work they do, but also to do good work too. Writing soldiers, baking for them and adopting a deployed soldier gives me reasons to get up each day. I love this organization.
Soldier’s Angels is a great foundation dedicated to meeting the needs of our military. As a ew member, I have sent packages or caregivers and deployed soldiers. I have also mailed birthday, new baby, and honor flight cards. This is a caring organization and I hope to keep serving on their committees for many years.
I have been involved in Soldier Angel's for over ten years now. It is such a wonderful organization and I've gotten to know so many incredible people. It is remarkable to hear how these soldier's handle what they do and why they do it. I'm honored to be associated with it and honored to be able to help our military anyway I can.
One of the most caring, hands-on organizations that I have had the privilege of volunteering with. We owe our military both past and present a debt of gratitude. And, with the many opportunities offered by this organization I genuinely feel I am partially repaying that debt.
I have been a volunteer with Soldiers' Angels for several years. It's a great organization of mostly volunteers that has a variety of ways to help our military and veterans. I send care packages to deployed service members and at Christmas, I support a couple of veteran families with kids who need a little extra help with the holidays. They also have programs to help at VA hospitals, help caregivers (usually the wives) of wounded warrior veterans, and groups to help newborns of deployed service members, a crafting group that makes blankets and other things for veterans and service members, and other groups. There's something for everybody!
I joined the Soldiers ‘ Angels team a few years ago and it is such a rewarding feeling to know that hat what we do really makes the difference in the lives of those still serving, the veterans, the military family and the caregivers. I feel so blessed to be able to give back even if it is a small way. I feel blessed.
Being a part of Soldier's Angels is an honor and a privilege. I have adopted soldiers with this great organization since 2008. When my adopted soldier returns home, I quickly sign up for another. The support of this organization with ideas and help is outstanding. I will continue to adopt soldiers until I'm not needed anymore. I take this job seriously. I pack each box with love - as if I were sending it to my own child.
We are blessed to have Soldier's Angels. They 'allow' us to help make things a little easier for our deployed soldiers and I am beyond proud to be a member. This is one of the greatest organizations. I wish we did not have a waiting list of soldiers...waiting to be adopted.
Soldier's Angels allows us to truly let our military know that we care and Soldier's Angels also allows us to do so in many ways. I have baked for our military for many years through this organization and have always had a soldier that I have adopted. When my soldier returns home, I quickly go to our list to adopt another. If adopting or baking isn't what you want, there are many facets of this organization that allows you to be involved. I am both honored and humbled to be a part of this outstanding organization.
I can't say enough positive things about Soldiers Angels. This organization is made up of such dedicated, wonderful and supportive volunteers. Through Soldiers Angels, I have been able to send letters of support and gratitude directly to those currently serving, to military families and to our Veterans. This organization epitomizes the saying about "getting back even more than you give." I had no idea when I first volunteered how much Soldiers Angels would enhance my own life.
I have been with Soldiers' Angels since 2014, first as a volunteer, then as an employee. I have absolutely loved this organization from day one! As we continue to grow, we make even more of a positive impact on the lives of the military members and veterans we serve. So happy to be giving back to the ones who have sacrificed so much for me and my family!
I started with Soldiers' Angels about five years ago. I like the mission and how it lets me reach out person-to-person, rather than just writing a check. I also believe in the mission of supporting military personnel, veterans and their families, and letting them know they're appreciated and remembered. Leaders work hard to let volunteers know they're appreciated, too, and there's a network for getting questions answered.
I've enjoyed the time and effort I've put into Soldiers' Angels. I feel like I'm making a difference, even if it's just brightening someone's day a little. The people I support may or may not respond back to me, but I'd still like to think it matters to them. There's also a lot of support from the organization if I have questions. You do need to spend your own money, but there are a lot of ways to contribute to fit different people's budgets, and volunteers share ideas to keep costs lower.
Soldiers Angels are known for sending out packages full of love and respect to all American soldiers. Care packages are sent to all soldiers from our Veterans at home to our newest deployed recruits, letting them know our country thanks them and supports them throughout their deployment!
My granddaughter and I bake each month for the Soldiers angels baking team. We love having fun baking, before we do that we gather up our recipes and decide what we want to do, its always exciting to pick and choose.. next we shop and find something xtra special to add to our boxes for our soldiers its always a fun time too. When we are finished we are proud to be shipping out to other men and women who are putting their lives on the line for us, its the little things we do that add up to something big.. Soldiers angels help us by putting us in touch with those who need us and want to receive something sweet from home. Thanks Soldiers Angels we are proud to be one of you!
I have been volunteering with this organisation on and off for 10 years. The good this organisation does is heart warming, the support provided for soldiers deployed or returned home is amazing. Thank you Soldiers Angels for allowing me to be part of it all.
I have been a volunteer with Soldiers' Angels for several years now and I know I get more out of it than I put in. It's so amazing to hear back from someone you have written to - and note that out of 10 troops, you may hear from 1! - and that is what makes it so special. I enjoy participating in more than just deployed adoptions as I am also on the Hospice Team and the Letter Writing team. Soldiers' Angels has something for everyone.
I have worked with several organizations that support our deployed service members. While all of them are good, Soldiers' Angels is the best I've worked with to date. There are several ways to participate; some require money and some don't. It's all up to the volunteer for to choose his/her level of effort. There is a small monthly fee (minimum $1), but that enables the website to be kept current and any staff to respond to requests very quickly.
Soldier' s Angel always thinks of veterans, deployed soldiers and their families first. Their love of the country and thankfulness of what these men and women did and do for our country. To keep us safe and free. I have recently started volunteering sending out cards, letters and have adopted a deployed soldier and it is truly amazing what the other men and women who volunteer do. I am always in awe of the love and dedication these people put forth. I really wish more people knew about this organization. It has changed my perspective on so many things in a short amount of time already. God Bless America
I've been involved with Soldier's Angels since 2009. They do a lot for our Service Members; keeping us informed how we can help out and there are numerous ways we can help so it's not a matter of how much time or money one can afford to give- every bit counts and every bit helps our military! It's a very organized group and the communication between the Leaders and Point Angels and us Angels is terrific (communication is very important). It's a super positive group of people who are quick to offer encouragement, praise and assistance often. We are kept informed with frequent input from our leaders and the newsletters are informative and up to date. I feel good about being a part of this group to serve those who give so very much serving our country!!
I've been adopting soldiers since 2009! I'm on my 13th soldier. I used to write to 'any soldier' through 'Operation Dear Abby' when I was in college. I have friends and family and now children of friends who serve (served) in the military. I wanted a way to Really/ Actually help the men and women who serve our country. I am very happy to be a part of Soldier's Angels because I feel that they are a REAL organization; meaning I Trust them and Trust that the monetary donations that I make are Truly going where SA says they are going and though each of 'my' soldiers hasn't been able to write to me, I trust that the letters and packages are going to soldiers who need the support, encouragement and goodies I send. The soldiers I have heard from tell me how 'every little bit helps' and 'it makes them feel good to know they are thought of by us here in the States'. I value my freedom and love the USA and am happy that with SA I have a way to Actually Tell and Show my appreciation and thankfulness Directly to The People who are Serving our country!
My parents are both Army veterans, my husband is retired Air Force. I have several brothers and sisters also on active duty - some reaching retirement. I have strong roots as long term military "family" and have always searched for ways to contribute and be a part of the military tradition.
For the last several years, I have been honored to be a part of the Soldier's Angels crafting team. I spend countless hours on ball fields and chorus rehearsals with my teenagers and spend that time crocheting. Soldier's Angels has given me the opportunity to take those hours and turn them in to giving moments for our troops - all during the time that I spend with my family.
With every stitch, every skein of yarn, I feel that connection to our service men and women who will ultimately have a rough time in their lives brightened by the gifts I send.
Soldier's Angels has provided me the platform to continue to give of myself.
