My husband and I do not have any children. He is a retired CMSgt in the Air Force and we live in New Braunfels. We have a good friend who works with Soldiers' Angels. I received an email about your adopt a family at Christmas. I called my friend asking her opinion about the program and she indicated she has adopted families. So I applied for the program and selected a family of five who live on Ft Sam. They have three young children and it has been an absolute joy to shop for the family (especially shopping for children). We delivered the presents to the family and was able to visit with them. We try to stay in contact with them. AND, I got the birth dates of the children so am sending them presents on their special day. We found out that the youngest child's birthday is the same as my husband, and the second oldest birthday is the same as mine. So this whole process has been a joy and fun.
To say we've had some tough times since my husband was injured in Iraq. Soldier's Angel's has been a blessing. We were just adopted by one of the Angels a few days ago. I feel so blessed. This past year has been by more taxing than before, we lost our home. I didn't know how we were going to manage Christmas and that's very important to my husband. I'm so thankful for our Angel and for Soldiers Angels helping us get adopted! I have been trying to decorate since Thanksgiving- I was just so down, but with our angel...I finished last night. Thank you!
This nonprofit has been nothing but amazing for us. There is an amazing bond that only a few can understand, when no one else was there for us they were every step of the way.
This is an amazing program that has really made me feel special. The role of a caregiver is thankless and very alone at times, but soldiers angels has made a huge difference in my outlook. The volunteers are amazing, and I can not thank them enough for everthing they have done over the past year!
Soldiers Angels, has been a blessing to my family. My husband is 80% disabled and struggles everyday with PTSD. We have lived all over since 2011 when he discharged from the Army and not one place cared much about veterans day, memorial day etc. When we became apart of the Soldier's Angels family it was a blessing in disguise. The cards and notes and gifts we receive from the angels is an amazing blessing. It brings a smile to my husbands face everytime we receive a card etc. We were adopted as well with the Adopt A Family Program and our angel has been a blessing. The appreciation we have is abundt.

Soldiers Angels has been the highlight of the last year and a half. I look forward to my mailbox and having someone to talk to. They give great resources and help with all kinds of questions.
Soldiers Abgels currently provide services to the VA PTSD program in Palo Alto. Soldiers Angels really makes a difference in our Veteran's lives providing homemade like dinner, support, and fellowship 2 times a month. The impact is tremendous.
Our military are most important. I will support them in any way I can. Not only do you make them feel good but a warm place in your heart is formed. Please pray and support them. Thank you so much.
I've been an Angel off and on for about 5 years now. The satisfaction I get from helping our soldiers and help them feel a little more comfort from home is immeasurable. I'm so glad I found them and it's given me a way to show my appreciation to all those who serve.
I've been a Soldiers Angel for a couple of month now. I search for an organization that works with our Military and did a lot of research. This organization is just wonderful. I love it. They have many options available to be of service and I'm on 3 teams so far and counting. The support you receive from your Team Leader(s) is wonderful. Lots of contact and guidance if needed. Also, there is opportunities to be a part of the same community of volunteers in your Team. I can not hesitate to highly recommend this organization and I have with so many of my friends.
Such an amazing organization. I have made forever friends while being able to support the heroes of this nation.
This is such a wonderful program if you are wanting to get involved in giving something back to our brave men and women in our military. You can be involved in many different levels depending on the amount of time you have available. There are too many good things to list about the Soldiers' Angels program. My advice is to check it out yourself :)

I've been a member of Soldier's Angels for a couple of months now, and it's so great. Not only do they make it easy for you to adopt someone who is serving our country, but the support they give you afterward is tremendous. They're always available via email, and the Facebook support with the leaders and with other Angels is excellent.
This nonprofit organization is uplifting not only to its volunteers but also the men and women that serve our country as well as the caregivers who care for loved one returning home from a conflict and our veterans who also deal with many issues . Soldiers angels is a class act and I am glad to be part of it.
I just LOVE Soldiers' Angels. The concept of giving to our troops overseas and our veterans here in the US is something that is dear to my heart as my husband was in the Navy. I like that you can pick your troop member based on your likes and wants. Epals are great too! I'm sure they love getting our letters and we like their replies in return. I really wish I could financially do more but epals is a start. If you are thinking about helping out...please do. It's for a great cause! Thanks Soldiers' Angels!
I am a new volunteer to Soldiers' Angels. I started two months ago. I am an Angel for one soldier (so far) and am also on the letter writing team. This organization is OUTSTANDING. Everyone is kind, helpful and compassionate about supporting our troops. I have no family in the military, I simply wanted to support our military in a personal way. I find myself considering items for my adopted soldier every time I am shopping. I highly recommend you check us out! You won't regret it! I am a member of two teams.......both have their own leader. I have emailed them both, often with questions in the beginning. They were quick to respond, helpful and just plain nice. I am honestly surprised at how volunteering for SA has made my life better.
I have volunteered for many organizations over the years. Soldiers Angels, by far, is the most amazing, rewarding experience.
Each team I chose to be a part of has a team leader & a private Facebook group. The team leaders are very involved. From day one, they have responded to my emails in a timely manner. The FB groups are full of other volunteers who are willing to share their experiences & offer advice. I have not read one negative comment on anyone's feed. That in itself is amazing......virtual strangers getting along & helping each other. The respect among each other is refreshing.
I look forward to many years of volunteering here.
I've just begun corresponding with our troops via Soldiers Angels and have found it to be so rewarding.
I never knew how great the need was for our service members out in the field. I'm so grateful for the organization and the other angels who are working to uphold the morale of our soldiers and their families.
Show your support for the troops in tangible, personal ways through one of a variety of service options offered through Soldiers Angels. You can adopt a soldier and make an impact on a personal level every week with letters and care packages, or you can donate time/money to take care of a number of soldiers and their families through wounded, veteran or family support programs. This is a great nonprofit for armed forces support on all levels.
this is the most organized and well managed non-profit i've ever seen. each team is managed by a team leader and everyone chooses the level of involvement that they can handle. it is a warm and welcoming place and i am honored to be able to give back to our soldiers in such a great way.
I just started volunteering with this group and I love it. They are fantastic to work with. I especially enjoy it because I feel like I am having a direct impact on the lives of service men and women as well as our veterans. I can select where my efforts are going. I especially love that I can participate when it is convenient to my schedule. Great organization who truly cares about those they are helping!
Soldiers' Angels is a dedicated group of volunteers that let our service men and women know that we are so very thankful for their commitment to keeping our country safe. It's amazing that just sending a letter or care package can make a difference in their day. I have 3 deployed service members that I write to and adopted a veteran and his family for Christmas. I am so honored to be part of this organization. We are making a difference in the lives of these dedicated men and women!
I've been a part of Soldier's Angels for over 10 years. I love providing support to those serving our country! It's truly the least I can do for them. The organization is easy to participate in and the leaders are very helpful!
It is a pleasure to work with the Soldiers' Angels family....and that is what it feels like. A wonderful group of hard-working people, who are passionate about serving Veterans and our Great Military force.
Soldiers Angels does great work providing support for our country' s military.
Jan Dearborn , Michigan
Great non profit !! Just about anyone can find a way to volunteer or donate to a active duty or veteran
I found this nonprofit just by chance back in September. I cannot tell you how much it to me to be able to help our men and women in the military and our veterans. I get up every morning to check the database to see if there is a letter or card to get out. I have three adopted deployed soldiers right now. I am involved in seven different groups. I feel like if even one card/letter makes a difference then I have done my best. If you are looking for a way to make a difference to our armed forces, this is the place.
I was looking for a way to give back, and specifically to the men and women in the military. I found the Soldiers' Angels website and I couldn't believe how easy it was to sign up and get started. I was writing letters and sending care packages that day. This is a truly amazing organization. Everybody involved is passionate and always willing to answer any questions or help in any way. It's the most rewarding thing I've ever been a part of.
I love working with Soldiers Angels! If you have a question, someone is always there to answer it. I love the feeling of supporting our troops. This is just an all around awesome organization!!!
I have been a volunteer with Soldiers Angels for a few years. I had to take time off because of health issues, but came back as part of the letter writing team. I am so amazed at how much Soldiers Angels has changed and grown. It's a first rate organization with the soldiers, airmen, marines, sailors and coast guardsmen and their families first. There are several different ways you can volunteer, from simply being on the Letter writing team, which means you simply write a letter to an assigned soldier. You are supplied with the name, address, some info. I type my letters as it's much easier to read. There are other groups that are more involved. I encourage everyone to check it out, if you have children, school groups, church groups that would like to get involved, by all means. I could go on and on, but it's top notch. Talk is cheap, a stamp for a letter is cheaper.
Want to thank a veteran or a deployed military man or woman for putting their lives at risk to keep our country free? Soldier's Angels is the non-profit to join. It gives me great comfort to reach out to them. The letters and cards that we send are so appreciated by them. If you want to get further involved than just writing you can do that also. Show the military that they are appreciated. Many are over seas without family and some are home and have been wounded by taking care of our safety. I highly recommend this organization. You can do as little or a lot as a Soldiers Angel.
Soldiers' Angels is beyond Awesome!!! I have been able to show my support to the awesome heroes of this country and have made the best of friends. If you haven't experienced soldiers' angels- you're missing out!!!
Awesome way to support our military!!! It is a very worthy cause. The soldiers appreciate the support. My son is a disabled veteran and only wish we knew of this when he was deployed. Thank you for the ones who support this effort...
Having been an Angel since 9/11, I have been able to touch the hearts and homes of many deployed, caregivers, children of military, gold star families and Veterans how were lost in the social climate in gratitude. Hearing your name on " mail call" or feeling forgotten but having a stranger write " we know who you are and sacrifices made", on a individual card or letter rather than a " Any soldier", is a great morale boost. Reaching out to homeless vets who number 1:4 among homeless, or those in a retirement home of VA facility is caring, covering the careflighted wounded in a blanket of love is consoling. I am not prouder of any other vokunteer organization, as we also reach out to assist medic and Chaplian personnel at a time 22 suicides a day are ongoing. Soldiers angels is international in part and is 24/7 support. It is a way to step up without taking a political stand. It says " it could be my brother, son or neighbor, I will never allow them to feel forgotten.
Soldiers' Angels is an amazing organization doing great things for military and veteran families. They reorganized two years ago and they have been growing like crazy. It's so great to see all the great things they are doing!
This organization has helped us multiple times when we were struggling the most. Our veteran has had a lot of lingering combat related issues. Its a roller coaster ride for a family and we are all working hard to help each other. When its gotten darkest, we've reached out to Soldier's Angels and they've helped.
I have been a member of the Soldiers' Angels organization for 10 years now. It is the most rewarding experience I have ever had concerning our troops. I am a daughter of a Korean War Veteran and this is one way I thank him for his services as well. I have adopted deployed soldiers throughout the years, even had the honor of meeting one. I have written more letters than I could possibly count, sent care packages and cards, my grandchildren even write to the troops. I also am privileged to send out extra support to other veterans, families of soldiers, care takers, and much more. I honestly cannot imagine not supporting all of them. This organization has been a true blessing in my life by giving me these opportunities. Even if you never receive a response it is a rewarding experience just knowing you are giving your time to another life which is the most precious gift we can give.
Soldiers' Angels is an organization that completely supports our service members who are and who have served overseas via letters, packages, emails, blankets, food, etc. I am so proud to be a part of this organization for the past 5 years. Not only is the service member supported, but the family at home as well. They have community drives to bring awareness and support to our service members, veterans, wounded warriors, and the care givers to those warriors. Veterans who have long been forgotten are now being remembered at VA centers across the nation. Whatever it takes, they are working to fulfill their motto: May No Soldier Go Unloved.
I have been writing letters, sending cards and packages for Soldier's Angels since 2005. It is a great organization and great support for all of our military, especially those deployed. I encourage people to join this team. I know those in the field that receive anything are so appreciative and it lets them know they are not forgotten while away from home.
Great group of people who care about our service members and encouraging to other volunteers. Proud to be associated with them.
I have been with Soldiers Angels for 2 years. Sending love from home in personal cards and letters to our soldiers is wonderfully rewarding. We are so lucky to have such a wonderful organization to make all of this possible. Thank you to all of the people who make this all work so smoothly.
I love the experience of writing our soldiers! The website is user friendly, questions are answered quickly. I highly recommend
I joined Soldiers' Angels in late August 2015 and I have found joy in my participation. I am on the Letter Writing Team and Card Writing Team. I have an Epal whom I correspond with by e mail and letter. It is a wonderful opportunity and when you receive a free letter back, its so rewarding. This is the best volunteer opportunity for me and I hope that one day I can meet at least one of the deployed soldiers Ive been in contact with.
I joined Soldiers' Angels in 2015 as part of the Letter Writing Team. I'm a British girl living in Germany since 2011. I'm away from my home, family and friends so I can relate to times of feeling lonely and I've done long distance relationships too. I have friends and family in both the UK and US military. As a supporter of the UK military charity "Help for Heroes" and the US "Wounded Warriors" this was something I could get directly involved with and actively from abroad rather than just donating money or fundraising and is very close to my heart. The UK doesn't have anything like this yet but I love writing to American troops and love what we do. It's personal, can make a huge difference whilst soldiers are deployed (not just once they are home or become Vets) and it is the most rewarding selfless thing I have ever done. It brings me so much joy to write to these amazing heroes telling them about me, my family and hobbies and thanking them for their service not before closing with some positive words of encouragement and something funny to make them laugh or smile. I feel like we are sending them love and hugs in a letter to comfort them and show that we care, that they matter and that someone is always thinking about them. We don't always hear back. When I do hear back though it is like Christmas (maybe even better!) and is the best feeling in the world! My team is so friendly and loving and you just feel the love, respect and patriotism we all have for our servicemen / women and countries and it just fills my heart with pride and a lot of love. I feel I found my 'home' here and I've definitely made new friends too! Am so proud to be a part of this organisation and in the future want to get more involved by joining some of the other teams of Soldiers' Angels. Semper Fi.
I've been involved with Soldiers' Angels since 2004 and wish we had something like
this when I was on active duty. I started out adopting a few soldiers and also joined the
letter writing team. A few years ago I had to step back and only be part of the letter writing team. No matter what part a person takes with the organization it's greatly appreciated. I've written to a few thousand service members and have heard back from some. I never expect to hear back from any but am pleasantly surprised when I do. There are a few who are no longer in who I still keep in touch with. As a veteran I know how important it is to hear your name called during mail call and know that there is someone thinking about you. God bless Patty for starting this organization.
I've been with Soldier's Angels for a few years now and have watched the organization grow, update, and change (mostly for the better, I might add). It's such an awesome way to reach out and share the love - although I rarely get replies to the letters I write, when I do get a reply it reaffirms what we're trying to do: support our troops and let them know we care and we appreciate all they do. It's incredibly easy to be involved - more people should join!
For the price of a stamp and a sheet of paper its truly inspiring what we can do
Review from Guidestar
I've been a Soldiers Angel since 2007. I like the fact that I know where my efforts go because I send them directly to the soldier whom I've adopted. I can't say I know where $ goes for other charities. But this is personal.

I have been a Soldiers Angel since Aug 2007. I know that my letters and support has helped the moral of those whom I've adopted and I occasionally keep in contact with them after they return. You can donate but there's nothing like that one-on-one contact to keep it real. Some have family support and some do not. For those that do have a loving family to support them, I communicate that strangers do care too. I will end my letters with a salutation: "Take Care of the Mission – Take Care of your Comrades in Arms – God Bless you for a speedy return to family and friends. Feel free to share this letter – especially with anyone not receiving any mail because the Soldiers Angels motto is to “Let No Soldier Go Unloved."
I have volunteered with Soldier's Angels for 10 years. It is a wonderful organization. I am continually amazed at the hard work and dedication all of the 'Angels' have. And I can tell you from my own experience, there is no better feeling than helping our Troops.
I have been a volunteer with Soldiers' Angels since 2011. I joined when my fiancé got deployed to Iraq because I felt the importance of having someone reach out to those fighting for our freedom. I also wanted to be part of the living legends team which sends cards to families of the fallen. I lost my friend in Iraq in 2006 and talked with his mom often and knew how important it is for the families to know people care. I'm now the proud leader of the living legends team and love what the organization does. There are so many great teams and we enjoy supporting our soldiers and families. I can't say enough great things about Soldiers' Angels.
I was in the military and it gets lonely. So I joined to help put a smile on a soldiers face. They are fighting for my freedom so the least I can do is send a card and make someone's day brighter.
I knew soldiers angels made an impact on our troops but until I joined, I didn't truly see what a special impact that was. Many of us think these soldiers just need a care gift to feel good like receiving a birthday present. But these soldiers need so much more. Some are stationed in severely remote areas and have zero access to anything that we revere as simple commodities here in America. They also need emotional support. Many of them do have families here that send their love continually but some may not. Soldiers Angels is much more than just a "gift giving" program. It reminds our men of why they are doing what they are doing. It also helps humble you when you join. It is truly amazing to know your letters will be held by the hands of those over in those foreign and dangerous countries. Please consider joining, the commitment is small compared to the impact YOU can bring.
-Natalie Mahne (new volunteer)
I have been writing letters to 12 different soldiers and 6 of them are coming home very soon and two of them I will be meeting in person when they get home. Yea!!!!!!!!!!

I've been writing letters to soldiers for a few months now and am so glad I can make a small difference in this way. Recently I got to help out with Bingo at the VA. Wounded soldiers/vets needed help to mark their cards and win some tickets to the cantina. It was great to see their smiles. I'll be doing more of that! There are so many ways to support our troops thru Soldiers' Angels! Do what you can - it's worth it! God Bless 'em all!
I have been with Soldiers' Angels for 8 years now. I joined when my brother was deploying. This is such a great organization. I've really enjoyed working with this great group of people!

I have been with Soldiers Angels for 6 years. I joined when my brother deployed to Iraq. I have enjoyed writing to our heroes and giving them something to look forward to. My husband is also active duty and when he deployed the volunteers and Soldiers Angels would send letters and post cards to brighten up his day. This organization is amazing. A true blessing and a great way to honor and support the men and women who put their lives in danger, every day, so that we may live free!
Wonderful organization. I have a really busy schedule and thanks to Soldiers' Angels I can still make a difference. I can easily weave volunteer work into my daily plans. - Sandra
I have been a Soldiers Angel for several years now and it has been the highlight of my life. Knowing someone got a letter or a package that made their day better brings a smile to my heart. So thankful to be a part of an amazing organization.
Been an active "Soldier Angel" Volunteer since January this year, I can say that it's the best thing I did. This is the most impact that one can make by helping an active member of the military. I Soldier Angels has a wonderful team of support folks that help us the volunteer do our jobs. They have caring & devoted people that support a great cause. It's easy to volunteer & the rewards are amazing. Doing your share to those who serve us is the way to go
Soldiers' Angels is a wonderful organization. I have made many friends thru this group, other volunteers and the military I have supported. Not only does this group support the Men & Women defending our country, it supports the families back home, and the families that are caring for the wounded. With just a little bit of your time you can honestly change someones whole day, bring a smile to their face, and just maybe give them a reason to keep on going. This is why I am a Soldiers' Angel!!!
About three years ago I was on the hunt for a volunteer organization that helps our service members. I came from a military family so my great grandfather, uncles, father, brother and my boyfriend all have served and are currently serving. I understand the amount of work and stress they go through and I wanted to find a way to give back. Especially because I know that a lot of our service members don't get the appreciation that they deserve. I signed up for a few sites and I was instantly satisfied with Soldier's Angels. Mainly because they are always on top of their game. Every group leader I've had has been extremely nice and I have received weekly updates every week since I've joined. Not to mention I always have a reply right away whenever I have questions. BUT the main reason I love Soldier's Angels is because they genuinely care about our military. They do the best they can to be sure that everyone deployed receives a care package or letter. I have never had an issue with Soldiers' Angels and I think they deserve every single star up there.
I started my journey with Soldiers' Angels nearly 9 years ago. I took a break for a few years and recently came back as a volunteer. This is such a great organization! So many caring people doing so much good! My significant other is currently deployed and raves about how the care packages/letters he gets from S.A. and other similar nonprofits seriously make the deployment worth it. He says knowing that so many people support him and care about him...makes the sacrifice much easier. Soldiers' Angels is touching lives!
This is an awesome organization to volunteer for! There is something for everyone. Do you like to write letters? There's a team for that! Do you like to sew? There's a team for that! Do you like to bake? There's a team for that! Do you want to adopt a soldier? There's a team for that! Do you believe female caregivers deserve to be recognized? Guess what? There's a team for that! Do you like to bake? There is a team for that too! Are you a woman who believes women warriors deserve to be pampered? There's a team for that! Want to go even further and volunteer your time at a local VA? Yep folks you guessed it, there's a team for that too! We have lots of other teams too. Join us and you too will be a proud Soldiers' Angel. Woooo hoo! There is something for everyone
Soldiers Angels has been a true blessing .... I love the day that I can be part of different teams and utilize my strengths to bring a smile to a hero (whether it be their family stateside, a Veteran or deployed). When you join a team, the requirements aren't hard a letter a month, a baked goody, a card, a post card, etc. I recommend joining SA to all my friends and those I meet when I'm out and about!
I have only been a volunteer with Soldier's Angels a few months but it is a wonderful way that I can support the many young people serving our country. I belong to the letter writing team and do my best to write two (2) letters daily to deployed soldier's. I hope this gives them some encouragement and realization that they are appreciated.
Hi! I wanted to say this is one place that we can get friends. When You can help reassuring. this is the best programmer I've ever have.
What a great organization to volunteer with. I have bed with Soldiers Angels for four years now! Plenty of opportunities to help with our soldiers!

I have been a part of the Soldiers' Angels organization for 2 years. It is such a wonderful program to help support all of our military branches. I don’t do this for recognition. The soldiers that I send cards/letters and care packages to have absolutely no idea who I am. They don't know my health/personal issues and it doesn't matter. All they know is that I am some kind person who took the time out of my day to think about them, send cards and letters just to say hello and provide words of encouragement. Everyone needs to hear encouraging words from time to time. So, regardless of the day that I am having, my goal is to bring a little bit of sunshine to a dreary situation. I hope that I can provide a smile and a moment of happiness to at least 1 person every day. It is a rewarding feeling to think that I have made a difference in someone’s day that is thousands of miles away just because I took a few minutes out of my day to write them a few simple words. Thanks, Christina Slaughter
I have been a member of this group for the last few years and enjoy being able to send a little bit of home to them. There are a lot of teams you can join and help as little or as much as you want. My favorite team is the bakers. I get to share my love of baking. Check them out and get started.
I have so enjoyed supporting deployed soldiers, veterans and caretakers of veterans through Soldiers' Angels. I anticipate doing this for years to come until they all come home! This has been a very supportive, encouraging group. There is also accountability that is needed and welcomed.
I joined Soldier's Angels in April and adopted a deployed soldier. A young mom spending 6 months away from her toddler. Offering her support has been a blessing to me. I honestly think I benefit from the relationship more than she does. In June, my only son joined the Army and going through the emotions of an Army mom has increased my commitment to this organization.
I'm a new volunteer and have been graciously welcomed with open arms by Soldiers Angel's. This organization does so much good in a world with a lot of hate. I am impressed daily by what these Angels do and the amazing, loving affect they have on people's lives. This is home and I'm never leaving. I love being a Soldier's Angel!
I have been a part of Soldiers Angels for 3 years now. The groups are just like family. If you have questions about anything, everyone is quick to help out. Being a part of Soldiers Angels makes me happy to know that we make a difference In the lives of our much deserving military members and family members of deployed home & abroad.
I have been a member of Soldiers' Angels for several years and i absolutely love it. It is such an honor to support our soldiers...they deserve to be honored, respected and supported by everyone and Soldiers ' Angels is the best way to get involved.
I have had the great pleasure of volunteering with Soldiers Angels for the past few years. I love the camaraderie of my fellow volunteers and the opportunity to serve our military service women and men and their families. Soldiers Angels is a lean operation and I appreciate how they really watch their dollars. They are effective and have a high impact!
I've been with Soldier's Angels for a couple years now. Originally I joined so my kids and I had a project for the summer that taught them lessons on giving back. It quickly became so much more than that to our whole family. We connected with heroes all around the world. We sent them packages and letters hoping to just to make them smile and sometimes became a source of connection to home and hope during very challenging and dark times.
Soldier's Angels gives people from every walk of life the chance to serve those who serve for us. Our support Has ranged from a letter a week to several care packages and stacks of letters a week. As our lives change we can still support our heroes. It's been a great honor and joy to volunteer for them and I recommend them to anyone looking for a small or big way to give back!
I have been a member for about a year now. I love being able to help our fellow soldiers and their family and Soldiers Angels provides us with the tools to do so.
I absolutely LOVE this organization!! I love being able to help our troops in any way possible and also sign some of the military people I know up to receive postcard books and such. This is the most loving organization I have ever been a part of! I am proud to be a Soldiers Angel!!
I have been a member of SA for several years. What I like best about this organization is that you have so many different types of teams you can join. No matter what your budget is there's something for you here!
I am a volunteer with Soldiers Angels and can't express how amazing this group of people are! Not only are we able to help deployed soldiers but we are able to help their families as well, we also get to welcome new additions to their families. :) Not to mention veterans who have sacrificed so much for our country. We even have programs to help men and women effected by the events on 9/11. Joining the folks in this organization has made a huge difference in my life and was one of the best decisions I have ever made.
I am a volunteer and Team Leader through Soldiers Angels! It truly is a wonderful organization and does so much for your Deployed Troops, Military Families, Families of our Fallen Heroes and Veterans. I can not think of a better group of people to be a part of. Being part of this organization has blessed my life beyond measure and I would recommend anyone who wants to be part of supporting our amazing Troops to join this organization and become part of this family!!!
I am a volunteer for Soldier's Angels. I thoroughly enjoy serving the deployed soldiers as well as bringing joy to their family members in times of joy and sorrow. SA covers the full spectrum of soldiers at all stages of their service.
I am currently deployed out in the persian gulf and this organization has been very generous and supportive to me and my ship. I really appreciate the individuals from this organization that have sent care packages and letters of support. It's hard being out here in the sand box but these letters from home really reminds us why we choose to serve.
I was wondering if anyone could help me with this question. I live in Edmond, OK, and I have a sister who said she was deployed from this summer from San Antonio. It came as a shock to the family. We do not even know what branch of the military she is in!!! And she told us that soliders were not allowed to tell family where they were being deployed. We are very worried, and don't believe this story matches the facts. Are soliders allowed to tell family members where they are being deployed--at least the county, if not the specific place? Thank you for your help. Also were troops deployed from San Antonio this summer (2015).
I have been a volunteer with Soldiers' Angels since 2006. They offer a variety of ways to provide support for the soldiers both deployed and stateside. Awesome organization to be part of.
I have been an Angel on the letter writing team for 3 months. I have written several letters to our troops and even though I haven't received a response yet, it makes me feel good knowing that I may have brightened someone's day. I'm happy I found this organization.
I found Soldiers' Angels about three months ago and I'm soooo glad I did! I love being able to give back to the men and women that sacrifice(d) so much for our country. I've had a great experience volunteering, the only thing that surprised me is having to donate $12 before I could volunteer...but if that's how they choose to fund the company, then who am I to complain? I know they do great things so I didn't mind giving that little amount. Love them and look forward to the many years ahead, volunteering with SA. :)
I have been with Soldiers Angels for 8 years, the only thing I do not like is the fact that you have to donate in order to receive names, I have been actively writing to soldiers for 23 years with different organizations, and have never had to pay to receive names, it would be different if we were being provided the paper, envelopes and stamps, but this is something we all do on our own cause it is what volunteers do.
Love the impact made with Soldier's Angels. I do not like being forced to "donate" to be a part of it now. It wasn't that way in the past. It takes a bit to get used to the system, but eventually you learn your way around it.
I have been apart of this organization for about three months and am pleased with with the opportunity to directly show support to those serving our country through all the branches of the military. The team leaders have made me feel welcome and are responsive when questions arise. Though I don't have a lot of money to contribute to charities these days, Soldiers' Angels offers many different options to show U.S. service men and women that they are appreciated.
Wonderful organization! I have been sending to service members for about two years. I have even made a couple of life-long friends!
I have been volunteering with Soldiers' Angels for about six months and they are wonderful group of people to interact with. I really enjoy baking and making care packages for the soldiers and letting them know how much I appreciate their service for our freedom and safety :)
I love getting opportunities to help deployed soldiers. I don't like the complete lack of organization and having to *pay* in order to volunteer my time, supplies, and money.
I first found this organization back in 2007 and I have adopted many soldiers. This is an awesome organization that offers so much support to our troops. There are so many different ways that you can get involved with and it is such a great feeling. I have several family members that have joined as well. I love this organization!
I learned about Soldiers Angels from a relative from another state via Facebook. She has been an angel for a couple of years. I was really impressed about how easy it was to sign up to become an angel volunteer. This is just the end of second calendar month for myself, but I have already found opportunities to join angel teams that fit with my skill sets and talents. It has been straight forward and there are plenty of other angel volunteers to help via Facebook when I had questions. I had no problems finding an assignment that allowed me to make an item for a deployed soldier's family. I am working on making my next item for a military member or their family.
I have been apart of this organization for over a month now and I can't be more pleased with being apart of this amazing group. I haven't done this for a long time, but its amazing on how everyone makes me feel welcome and helps out with questions and everything. It makes my heart feel full knowing that a simple letter can make all the difference to these amazing individuals that willingly give there life to give us our freedom. I have always been appreciative for their service, but telling them in a letter is awesome. Especially for the fact you don't know them personally and you can make them feel and know you care.
Baking for the deployed soldiers & sending care packages fulfills me & I hope it makes the day of that deployed soldier just a bit brighter, helps them get through their day a little easier & realize that there are people who revere them and the dangerous & deadly jobs they do. Those soldiers are the true superheroes as are their families & friends waiting for those soldiers to come home hale & hearty. One soldier I recently sent a baked goods care package to never received it, as he lost his life before it could get to him, his widow and 2 young children did. I received his widow’s email informing me of his death and thanking me for my support to her deployed husband. My reply email was the hardest thing I have ever had to write. I then notified my Team Leader and she got things going to connect with the soldier’s widow with the various services Soldiers’ Angels offers military families. Soldiers’ Angels has programs for every aspect of a soldier’s life and a soldier’s family’s life. Soldiers’ Angels is a fantastic organization & I am proud & humbled to be allowed to be part it.
I have been a dedicated Verified Angel since 2007. I have received some of the most heart warming as well as heart breaking letters from the Service Members I have adopted. I've seen them through break ups, child birth while deployed, loss of brothers in arms and every other situation. I have read the letters and have laughed and cried. I remember when these guys were no where near Internet or cell towers. I have received flags that were in planes on bombing missions, deployment coins and battalion patches. I treasure it all. I will continue until they are all home. I let them know they are appreciated for their dedication and service. I feel safe.
What an awesome organization! As a veteran myself, I know how much it is appreciated to hear from people knowing they are thinking of you, and supporting you while going thru deployments, holidays, hardships, and anything else. This organization puts you in touch with soldiers, and soldiers families who are in need. I am so very proud to be volunteering, and donating what I can to make a difference. This is a great organization to get involved with if you are looking to donate.
I am a volunteer with this organization and know many of the leaders from other activities we have shared. This is a lean, spunky, passionate, grassroots organization that has mobilized "any average American" ,and some pretty amazing ones, too; to support our veterans and their families. They exemplify the idea that anyone can help, we all can do something and it can make a huge impact on someone's life. To think that they have been doing this since 2003 is pretty amazing. Today they continue to evolve, grow and give!
This is definitely not your everyday charity. It's dynamic, and there is always someone to write to, to bake for, to send care packages to...and you work to your own strengths. Whether you send out 50 letters a month or 5 letters a month, no one pushes for more. I've met wonderful people through SA, I think I joined up in 2009. I can't imagine not angeling. Nope. Can't imagine it.
I have been a volunteer with this group for several years. I really like feeling like I'm making a difference for someone and that I can show my appreciation to our service members. And I love hearing from military members that tell me how much it was meant to them. A great organization full of great people.
I've been with Soldiers Angels since the beginning, back in 2004. I started as a hobby while on a leave of absence after having surgery. I have been a proud adoptor, a baker, a letter writing support and part of the special ops team. I have met many amazing men and women that have served this great nation and I am proud to say I am still friends with many of them. this is a great organization that really does what it can for our heroes deployed and their families so they know just how much they are appreciated.
I love having a angel to talk to when things are getting me down. They listen and give great input when need. They will always be my angel. My husband loved getting father day cards. Made him feel important and not just the person in the background.
I am very proud to be part of Soldiers' Angels. It is a wonderful organization that gives back to our military community!
I have been volunteering by adopting soldiers since 2007 and this is an amazing organization. To be of service in this small way by offering support and boosting morale to our troops is such a blessing to me and I am honored to help.

I've been a Soldier's Angel for 7 years and I love it. This is an amazing organization. It is a blessing to show love and support to our soldiers and let them know they are in our thoughts and prayers and our country is proud of them. I have met some incredible men and women serving our country and they are so grateful for the letters and packages. They can't believe a total stranger would take the time to boost morale and remind them of home and what they are serving for. I get so much joy back by giving to the soldier's through Soldier's Angels. SA does an enormous service to our country and the money and supplies donated to this non profit really make an impact. They are extremely fiscally responsible as a charity and I wouldn't invest my time and money with them if they weren't.
When my husband was injured soldier's angels donated some clothes to him. I never thought about what was on that shirt. It's been 5 years now and I recently found soldier's angels when we didn't know how we were going to survive. His injuries had progressed to where he is unable to work and some days unable to get out of bed. Since finding this organization, I have found support that I have desperately needed. My husband has realized that he is not alone. We have become a stronger couple and before we were almost to a point where we were ready to give up. This organization has given us both hope. Where all was lost a few months ago. I am so very thankful that I found them.
My husband was adopted by Soldier's Angels while he was in Iraq. Since he was injured, the Soldier's Angels have adopted me on holidays such as Mother's Day, and my husband during Father's Day. We have received wonderful letters, and even a few gifts. These Angels are selfless and have really touched our hearts.
I chose to participate in Soldiers Angels because it makes me feel useful to our deployed military, while giving them a little taste of home.
Being able to write to a deployed soldier and sharing day to day life (which they crave) warms my heart.
Sending them a package every month of needed items, snacks and surprises is so worth the time and energy. Creating a theme and decorating the box according to that theme brings me joy. And, according to the responses of our soldiers, is like Christmas every month.
I just couldn't recommend a better or more worthwhile organization.
I always planned to become a volunteer for the military when I retired from my job. I got so busy with my grandchildren and traveling with my husband that time seemed to get away from me. I found out about Solider's Angels and it is the PERFECT fit. I can write letters from wherever I am in the country and I can bake and send goodies. It is a great organization and it is very well run and organized.
I wanted to give back to our Soldiers, but could not find anywhere to volunteer that was close to home. That's when I found Soldier's Angels. I love the idea that I can write to our Soldiers to thank them for their service.
If I choose, I can also adopt a soldier that would allow for me to send care packages, or baked goods as well. There are so many opportunities within SA so that you can give back in a way that suits you. I am so grateful that such an organization exists.
My family and I adopted our first soldier in January, 2010. We did not know what types of items to send or what to say in our letters. Sometimes we felt like our letters were a bit boring, just writing about our day to day lives. We have discovered, after a dozen or so soldiers, that the day to day stuff is what matters the most. These brave men and women are serving our country so we can continue to be free to do the day to day stuff.
Soldiers Angels has opened up the world for us. We have gotten to know some amazing people! We are blessed in that we have been able to stay in touch with several of our soldiers, even being able to meet 2 of them and their families.
In our efforts to support them, encourage them and lift their spirits, it is our hearts that have been touched.
I started with Soldiers's Angels almost 5 years ago when I was looking for a way to give back. My husband had received cards and letters from complete stranges and it totally amazed me! Since that time I have been able to share joy and have my heart blessed all at the same time. When you think you are blessing others.....just wait....it comes back to you 10 fold!
This is my first time as a volunteer. My daughter several years ago adopted a soldier and we spoiled him and the group of guys he was with the entire time they were deployed. We sent one huge box a week with everything you could think if that would be enjoyable. This time I have a shop of 8 navy guys and a female in the ARMY. She and I have made contact several times and she is awesome. I hope that one day I get to meet her in person. Until then she will be applied with Oreos and rice Krispy treats. Well and other things. This is a great organization and I am proud to be part of it.
I'm very new to this but I feel amazing to begin this journey and help as much as I can. I'm super excited to be apart of this. Thank you so much.
I just joined Soldiers Angels and have already felt so blessed to be a part of this wonderful organization. Any way that I can make a difference in a soldiers life, means the world to me and Soldiers Angels allows me to do so. They have a very strong support system along with willingly helpful volunteers. Keep it up!!
I learned of Soldiers' Angels in 2007 from a blog that I read. I went to the website and saw the number of soldiers waiting to be adopt and it was a very high number. I decided right then and there to adopt a soldier. My first adoptee was a Marine. Later on his wife sent me an email to let me know that he got home fine from his tour and that the boxes of goodies and toiletries that I sent were the only boxes he received while he was over there. That broke my heart and made my heart swell with pride all in the same moment. I don't think I've done anything that gives me so much for doing so little. I keep every note and email that my soldiers have sent through the years. I feel like they are my kids, for the most part, since most of them are 30 or younger.
I can't think of an organization more deserving of this gift than Soldiers' Angels. All of the angels are volunteer. I hope that one day we won't be needed, but I will continue to adopt soldiers as often as I can.
Tina K
thank you Soldiers' Angels for giving me some attention and care from home while on deployment. The smallest things that help us. ~Jason Halstead
I joined soldiers angelse in 1998 and have been an active member since.. this is one great organization as member deal directly with men and women in the military. Some are silent while others interact with you. No soldier should be forgotten.
This is one of the best charities around. Lost of support from all others in Soldiers Angels, and all of your efforts go directly to deployed military men and women. Some are silent but you know you have made a difference in their lives by sending cheer or a favorite food from the states. When you hear back from them, it brightens you day! You get so much more back than you give! Soldier's Angels help the deployed, their caregivers and vets through cards and packages. Everything makes a direct impact on an individual. Best volunteer organization around!
This is an amazing organization that works hard to provide support and encouragement to service members and their families. It's an all inclusive organization that works to remember veteran and active duty service members. In addition families of those members are encouraged and supported. I love being a part of SA!
I am so blessed to be a part of soldiers angels as a volunteer ! As a former military spouse , I know how important it is to support our troops . These men and women are so special and they need to know they are appreciated and respected for their sacrifice. I looked for a long time for a volunteer opportunity that I trusted and believed in , and Soldiers Angels is definately the best !!!!
Soldiers Angels is an amazing group that support our troops. Whether they are overseas, Veterans or Wounded Warriors. Angels sent cards, letters and packages to those who are fighting or have fought to keep all of us safe. I've been a member for almost 7 years and I am very honored to be a part of this team!
Soldier's Angels leaders are incredibly helpful with questions about how the different programs work. Different volunteer groups allow you to choose a form of soldier/veteran support that best fits your desired time and financial commitments. I've adopted two soldiers over the years, done the card writing team, and most recently joined the sewing and craft team. Volunteers also share ideas, questions, knowledge, and pictures of crafted items/ care package contents within Facebook groups. It's nice to see what everyone else is working on despite being very geographically diverse. All around a GREAT organization to support an amazing group of people.
I joined Soldiers Angels team in February of 2015 and it is an honor to be among such caring individuals that give of not only money but their time so selflessly month after month and pay such attention to detail to the boxes that they fix for the soldiers they try to give a gift that the soldier will remember if only for a fleeting moment of time. They help in so many different ways, if even with just a letter of support from home. It is a honor to be of this group and hope to continue for many years to come and hope I can continue to encourage more like minded souls to join this fine group of Men and Women to give of themselves for our service personell.
Soldiers Angels is a great organization. I have many family members and friends who are or were in the military. Talking with them I know how important an organization like this is. My adopted soldiers are very grateful who what I do and for what everyone else does as well.
Soldiers Angels is an amazing group ..men n women all over the US supporting our Troops here and abroad. I've been a part of this group for several years and their the best ! Encouraging and supporting the men n women keeping our great nation free!! They deserve high honors in my book and I am blessed to be apart of Soldiers Angels !!!

I joined Soldiers' Angels in May 2015 as I wanted to show my support to our military. I have sponsored three deployed soldiers and it has been such an honor to be a support and encouragement to our service members. This is a wonderful organization that does amazing work for our country and should be recognized as such. I'm so thankful I have been added to this great family!
As a Gold Star sister, I am honored to be able to write to the men and women who are serving our country and protecting us all. I am thankful to be associated with the Soldiers' Angels organization as this program is such a blessing to not only the soldiers who are receiving the letters/cards etc but also to the ones who are able to send appreciation and love to them through the mail.
These folks are angels, no doubt about it. I have been blessed to receive their help, and their beautiful cards and letters, as I prepare for the birth of my first child. My husband is deployed again, and things are stressful. Having the blessings that these folks provide, and the encouragement of their beautiful letters, has made a huge difference. I will return the favor and become a volunteer once my husband is home and we are past the initial burden of a newborn. I cannot thank these folks enough. They are truly blessed angels!
I have been with Soldier's Angels for a little over month and it is so rewarding to know we are making a difference in the lives of the men and women serving for our country around the world. Every little bit we can do for these brave soldiers means the world to them, and it makes a difference in their days. It's a great organization and does such good work!
I am proud to say that I have been with Soldiers' Angels since 2008. I've seen how this organization goes all out for the Soldier, as well as the Family and Care Givers. They are quite diversified, having many Teams to choose from to be able to do so much from adopting a soldier, to just being a part of the Etter Writing Team which consists of writing letters to our Soldiers showing them our Support helping to boost morale, Card Plus Team cards from Birthdays for a soldier, or WWII Veteran, Get a well, send some TLC and so much more. Just as there are many other teams. This organization has a Heart of Gold doing so very much for the troops also for their Silder's' Angels, should they need a time of leave it is except able and your position is deactivated once able to return. I have been with SA for a long time enjoying all they do for our Trooos in many ways.
I have been with Soldiers Angels for three years. I love working with this origination. Not only do they care about our service men and woman but their families and caregivers. Thank you for all you Soldiers Angels.
I have just recently started volunteering with Soldiers' Angels and I love it! It's a great organization and they have so many different ways that you can support our military. I am honored to support and encourage our troops through Soldiers' Angels!
I've been volunteering with Soldiers' Angels for the past month and it has been such a rewarding experience. They make helping soldiers out really easy and simple, and the way that the organization lifts up the soldiers is incredible.
I started volunteering with Soldier's Angels recently. I did it because I feel what they do for the soldiers is really amazing. They are risking their lives for America and they deserve everything we can give them.
I just finished writing my first letter, and it made me feel so good! Imagine how it makes them feel...
Thanks Angels for everything you do. Great charity.
I started volunteering with Soldier's Angels when the group first formed. News that items such as sunscreen, lip balm, and other basic necessities were hard for troops to get ahold of after their initial deployment really rallied the "Angels" into action. Care packages and letters from home were so well received by the troop. Now a family member is deployed. Knowing that a Soldier's Angel recently sent a letter and brightened his day makes what we all do very special.

A volunteer's greatest reward may seem to be the "Thank You" but in all honest it's really the encouragement you receive while fullfilling your role that makes or breaks an organization. Soldier's Angels uses so many mediums to give their volunteers words of encouragement that I always feel that I am on the receiving end of their committment to military families. I work as a Christmas Care Package items collector, a Card Team member, and an Operation Top Knot member. Some months, when I work overtime, my direct donations are high. In October I was able to purchase enough items to create 12 Christmas Care Packages. This month I will have to comfort myself with that memory and write cards, make baby hats and booties because funds are low. However, no matter what I can produce I feel that it is truly appreciated by the organization as much as it is appreciated by the families and military members who receive these gifts. That is why I continue with Soldier's Angels year after year!
I have been a volunteer with Soldiers' Angels since 2008, during that time I have supported several of our Military's Service Members through their deployment via weekly letters and monthly care packages. It has been my honor and privilege to provide support to them.
I love soldier angels through 3 deployments they have kept me encouraged and motivated through letters and packages. Thank you for all that you do for us.
I have been a soldiers angel volunteer for a very short time but I have to say. I love it. What a wonderful organization. I really like the fact that it gives those of us here at home a great way to support our troops. Without this organization most of use would not have a way to offer are support to our deployed service men and women. Outstanding organization.
Can't say enough great things about this organization! I am still on five teams and feel so fortunate to be able to give back to our active duty troops and veterans through Soldiers' Angels. Corresponding with our troops and veterans' families is an honor.

I have been adopting deployed soldiers off and on for roughly ten years through Soldiers' Angels. I've enjoyed watching the organization grow and expand in programs to help our heroes. I've recently joined their Letter Writing Team, Women of Valor Team and served dinner to Veterans at our local VA with them. What an honor! I have so enjoyed the correspondence with our deployed soldiers and have gotten a couple of (unexpected) amazing things from them as a thank you.
As the daughter of a Vietnam Veteran, I know how important it is to support our troops. As long as there are soldiers and veterans to help, I'll be with Soldiers' Angels. Great organization!
I've been a volunteer at Soldier's Angels for 5yrs now. I've also volunteered with countless other organizations over the years, and I can proudly say that Soldiers' Angels is among the very best! We all strive so hard to reach out to our deployed Military, our wounded warriors, Military families and any Veteran in need. Soldiers' Angels cares so much for our Military and are going so many amazing things to help them, and also to let them know they are not alone or forgotten!
I began my journey with Soldiers' Angels in 2011 and have been so proud to be part of this wonderful, compassionate organization who always puts our Heroes before themselves. As a volunteer, not only am I able to encourage, but our Heroes also have someone they can communicate with, that understands and ears/email to listen. I am truly grateful for this Organization and all that stand for and all they do!
It's amazing what this group is doing - it's the little things that make the biggest impact in peoples lives. It's the comfort of a warm blanket that let's a wounded soldier know that they are not forgotten and that their sacrifice is recognized a appreciated.
Soldier's Angels is a wonderful organization. When you receive a Thank You from a soldier because you sent a birthday card, it's very sweet.
Soldiers' angels is an great organization. Since I've deployed they have provided great things to me and fellow soldiers. I am thankful for their support.
Soldiers' Angels is a great organization that has helped not just myself, but fellow soldiers to stay upbeat and positive through out this deployment. During the two months prior to and the month of my birthday, I received a care package about once a week from random people with birthday goodies-not just from the angel that adopted me. I am very grateful for this organization and the people that I have had contact within the organization are amazing!!
Soldier's Angels has been helping and supporting troops for years. They are the reason some troops have been able to mentally withstand the harsh punishment of war. THANK YOU SOLDIERS ANGELS FOR ALL THAT YOU DO!!!!!!
I've been a volunteer for Soldiers' Angels for a year now. The work that they do for our active service members and Veterans is such an inspiration. I am proud to be part of this team.
I have been a part of Soldier's Angels since 2013. I feel that it is a very small amount that I contribute in comparison what these young men & women contribute. I finding it heartwarming to be able to correspond with my "adopted" soldiers. I know that it is greatly appreciated whatever I send because sometimes these soldiers have no one to "care" for them & most of them are so far from home.
I have been a volunteer and donor with Soldiers' Angels since 2012. It warms my heart to be able to contribute to this cause and support the men and women who serve in the defense of our nation. The soldiers that I hear from say that it brightens their day to get mail or a care package. It's a worthy cause and I am proud to be a part of it.

I have been a Soldier's Angel for just over a year now and I'm on my sixth soldier (they keep getting redeployed home ... a very good thing)! I have enjoyed the interaction with my "adoptees", "friending" some on Facebook and continuing to keep in touch with them as they return home and return to their families. Supporting those who serve in the military is so important. They have pledged to keep our nation safe and we owe them so much. Being able to support the military on such a personal level is a wonderful feeling.
I had planned on spending part of my time as a volunteer when I retired, but since an early disability retirement prohibited my actual performance of activities such as working at a senior center, driving for Meals on Wheels or some other form of volunteer work that required physical work or stamina, this group allowed me to fulfill my wishes to be able to give and share with others.
I found a quote today that sums up my feelings:
The best antidote I know for worry is work. The best cure for weariness is the challenge of helping someone who is even more tired. One of the great ironies of life is this: He or she who serves almost always benefits more than he or she who is served.
- Gordon B. Hinckley
As a military mom and girlfriend I can't say enough about Soldiers Angels! I love being able to support our troops and families. I tell everyone about how wonderful our Angels are!!

I have been with this organization for just under a year and love it! I signed up because I am a military mom and have close friends serving overseas now. I just love the feeling of being able to brighten a soldiers day with a letter or card wishing a happy birthday or just to let them know they are cared about back home. I encourage everyone to check it out and send a smile :) I can't imagine not being part of Soldiers Angels!!
I have been a part of Soldier's Angels since 2010. Since I am a special education teacher, my students have joined me by writing letters and sending crafts to our adopted soldiers. It has been a great learning experience for my students and a blessing to be able to give back to our soldiers in this way. It is truly amazing that a simple email or card can lift spirits up and make someone's day.
I joined Soldiers' Angels around 2011. I had been writing to deployed troops for several years at that point but was looking for a way to help more people, and I found it in the letter writing team and the cards team. Over the years I have tried other teams as well: chaplain support; deployed adoptions; ladies of liberty, which provides special support specifically for deployed women; and living legends, which supports the families of those who make the ultimate sacrifice. Each team has its unique flavor and I have shared various emotions with the people whom it has been my honor to support. What I did not expect was the camaraderie I would develop with other "angels" and that is what has made this organization different from the others and so special to me.
I have been an angel for a long time. It blessed me just as much as the soldiers when I am able to send a package. Keep up the food work angel s!
Soldiers Angels are a great nonprofit organization. I am in the United States Air Force and they not only help me,b but other military men and women. It's a blessing to have people you do not know send you care packages and write letters to cheer you up. I hope they keep up the good work.
I discovered Soldiers Angels in a women's magazine around Christmas, 2004. The article showed how to support our deployed military with letters and care packages. I thought this was something i could easily do and have been involved ever since with many adopted soldiers and worked on many teams. It is wonderful to hear back from these folks and know that we have made a difference in their day, many times with something as simple as a card. Check out our web site and join us.
After writing letters a few years ago; I joined the letter writing team again this Spring. My most memorable letter was from a soldier who I had started to correspond with (it was truly like having the old fashion pen-pal); we had exchanged a few letters and in one I had let this soldier know I had not written because my grandmother had died so belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!! The next letter I received came in a huge envelope... because of the joy I had brought her and her unit with my letters they sent me the Flag that flew over their unit!!!
I don't write to receive letters back... I write to thank those who serve; however, the thank you and thought that went into their response was so moving!!! If I can make a soldier smile for a few minutes then that is why I write.
I have explored other areas Soldiers' Angels services and believe that the organization is such an inspiration!!!
I joined this great group last year and love being a part of it. It has helped me to feel useful. My husband is retired from the Navy and I wanted to give to our men and women who are serving this great country and Soldiers' Angels has let me do this. I have 2 soldiers adopted right now.
I became an angel last year and haven't looked back. No wing that you can help a military family or bring a smile to a soldier's face whiles tout on deployment is one of the best feelings.
Soldiers' Angels have so many different teams you are sure to find the perfect one for you. The charity support so many men and women in the service and take their job ver seriously, ensuring that they get what's needed.
I'm humbled and proud to be a part of such an amazing group.
I love being a part of this charity and helping military families!! Such a wonderful organization and such selfless and caring people. I couldn't be more proud to be a part of Soldier's Angels!!
They have helped me with moral while on deployment and have done more for my unit than ever expected, this organization is fantastic and I couldn't have asked for more
Our family has volunteered with Soldier's Angels since we met their founders in 2007. SA is a high quality organization with a true heart for our military and their families! Highly recommended if you truly want to help our troops!
I have been a member of Soldiers Angels.org since Memorial Day, 2007. I had seen something on our local news channel about Soldiers Angels a few weeks before. Went to Ft. Logan, our Natl. Cemetery, over Memorial Day, and after visiting my folks(my mom was a Wave during WW!! & my dad was army until he was medically discharged) and my husbands parents (dad was in the Navy in WW!!) decided it was time to "do more" for our military troops and their families. I started by "Adopting" a soldier, then a year later also joined the Crochet Team (now part of the Sewing Team) since I enjoy crocheting and how many hats and scarves does one really need!? LOL Then found the OTK Team - they do virtual baby showers for military families. That allowed me an outlet for the blankets and dolls I enjoy sewing. A few years later I "adopted" a family for the holidays. And, just this past spring I discovered the Cards Plus Team, the Chaplains Support Team and the Angel Bakers. I enjoy baking and can now bake to my heart's content and then send it away. This organization has gone thru many changes over the years, but the core belief of "may no soldier go unloved" has never changed. I am proud and humbled to be a member of Soldiers Angels. a proud.angel
Soldier's Angels is an awesome group of people supporting our deployed and retired men and women of the military. I am humbled and proud to be apart of this awesome group.
I have been a member of SA for 6 yrs and it is one of the most rewarding experiences I have had. My most rewarding experience has been being able to meet one of my adopted heroes and his family and now they are part of our family! We are grandparents to their 2 little boys! We keep in touch on skype and face book and when they come home to see his family we always get together because he grew up about an hour from us.
To know that something as simple as a card saying Thank You to our Heroes can make the day a little better for them.
SA has so many ways to support our troops, their families, our Veterans and the Care Givers to our Wounded Heroes.
If you are looking for a way to support our Troops, SA is the organization to join!
I have been a member of Soldiers' Angels for 6 1/2 years now...I've enjoyed it thoroughly. I've been a member of many different teams, and have loved it. Great organization to work with...plus extra meaningful and rewarding is the ability to help serve our Military Men and Women.
Last year I was searching for something to do with my time that would utilize my sewing/quilting skills but more importantly, provide a much needed service. I joined Soldiers' Angels mainly because my husband was a veteran and found just what I was looking for. The sewing/crafting team has given me the opportunity to help veterans in our VA centers throughout the U.S. by providing for their needs. It's very rewarding to know we are helping those brave men and women who have risked their lives for our freedom. In addition, I have found the team/leaders very helpful, responsive to questions and sincerely thankful for any and all donations. I'm proud to say I'm part of this wonderful team. So if you are looking for a way to give back, please visit the website and sign up!
I have been with SA for a year now, and I absolutely love it. There are so many different teams to join which provide ample opportunities to give back. As a member of the Living Legends Team, we help honor service members killed in the line of duty. Our Cards Plus Team sends cards, postcards, and letters to anyone affiliated with the military for everything ranging from graduating bootcamp or having a hard deployment, to showing WW2 and Korean veterans some love for birthdays and health issues. Our Women of Valor team let's you sponsor a post-9/11 wounded warrior, which sheds such light of the family side of being in the military. I just LOVE all the ways one can choose to give and help!!!
I joined Soldiers' Angels in May 2014. It has been a wonderful experience helping the men and women that fight for our country! My favorite part is receiving thank you's from soldiers! Soldiers' Angels is an amazing organization!
I am so proud to have the opportunity to be a Soldiers Angel.. I wanted to be able to give back to our warriors in the best of my capacity.. And Soldiers Angels makes that possible..through adopting a soldier..sending care packages..writing letters of support and encouragement..to our deployed .As well as their families..our veterans and wounded warriors and their care givers..It helps our soldiers to know the are not forgotten.. are thought about and supported for all they give and do...Thank you Soldiers Angels..Carmen Finch
Soldiers angels has enriched and helped the morale of all the soldiers in my unit and my friends in other units . I hope they continue and keep up the great work !!
I joined this amazing group because I wanted to contribute more than money to a charity. I love having my "own" service -men and -women to help by sending cards, letters, puzzles, etc.
For some of the service people who sign up, the volunteers' letters and packages are all they ever get at mail call. Knowing I've made one our heroes smile is the best feeling!
If you want to support our troops I strongly urge you to contribute to Soldiers' Angels, either financially or by joining one of the charity's teams. I expect I'll be an Angel for as long as volunteers are needed!
I've been a volunteer for Soldiers' Angels for almost 5 years now and how loved every minute of it. To be able to help, in even the smallest way, the men and women who serve our country every day is amazing. What a generous and amazing group of people!
I have only been a part of Solders' Angels since February, 2015 but have found this to be as rewarding an experience to me as to those I touch. I participate mostly in the birthday wishes and get to send out birthday cards/well wishes and some packages from home to the ladies who are overseas servicing for our country. The notes I receive back are genuine, heartwarming and help me realize how much little things mean to them. It has been a tremendously rewarding experience for me. It is a blessing to be associated with such as wonderful organization.
I have only been a part of Soldiers' Angels for under a year but I have found this work SO rewarding, I am on my 4th adopted soldier and have also adopted an ePal. The genuine and authentic nature of this charity rings SO true, you are constantly inspired to do more ... and with the variety of programs they offer, you can literally 'one stop shop' here.... donate truly according to your preference and time available ... as little or as much as you'd like....and always consistently surrounded by positive people who love what they do. I'm so very grateful I found this organization from a fellow work colleague who was speaking of her rewarding experience serving this wonderful organization. Forever grateful.....
I have been an SA volunteer since 2007, and it has been among the most rewarding experiences of my life. Knowing that I can directly impact and improve the life of a brave man or woman serving our country, rather than to just send a check to a faceless corporate entity, is what means the most to me about SA. Maybe writing letters isn't your thing... maybe you don't know what to say... maybe you can't commit to sending regular care packages. It doesn't matter. There is something here for everyone, no matter what your talent. All that is required is the desire to give back. If you have that, SA will find a place for you.
I became a volunteer in Feb' 2015 and have found it to be a most enjoyable and rewarding experience. I just requested another solder on the deployment team with the Navy. I find it is a wonderful way to personally thank these soldiers for their service. I always mention in my letter of introduction, an apology for all the times I miss the opportunity to walk up to a person in uniform and thank them for their service. Soldiers Angels has provided a great way to make contact and provide suggestions on what to send for the soldiers to enjoy and utilize.
I've volunteered for 2 years and I love it. Soldiers' Angels are helpful and supportive. Most donations go straight to the soldiers- no corporate CEOs to eat up the soldiers' money. I'm a writer and love to send thanks, prayers, and hugs to deployed soldiers to brighten their day. I also love getting back letters! Here is an anonymous homemade thank you card I recently received: 'I'm thankful to have you to think of me during my 12 month tour. God Bless.'
Support your Troops! Check out Soldiers' Angels!
I have been a member off and on for 4 years now and this is the most fulfilling thing that I could ever do! It is great for the troops and families that don't have anybody to support them or the ones that need some extra support.... it lets them know that we all still care and they are not forgotten. My husband is a veteran and Soldier's Angels hits close to home and lets me make a difference in many people's lives and lift their spirits. Soldier's Angels is the best!!!
I've been a member of Soldiers' Angels on and off for around 10 years and it's so fulfilling. Those of us that aren't affiliated with the military will never understand what our service men and women go through. Giving them contact and reminders of home, from those other than family. helps tremendously. Soldiers' Angels is a real-life, proven, and effective method of reminding our service people that they aren't just stuck somewhere without a purpose; there are those of us who appreciate what they are doing, and why they are doing it. Soldiers' Angels gives you everything you need to show support in so many ways and I'm thankful they provide the opportunity to do so.
I've been a member since 2014. This is such an awesome charity. The military members that we adopt are so grateful for everything that they get. It isn't even the care packages so much as knowing that people care and that they haven't been forgotten. It is so true that giving is better than giving, because every time I get a heartfelt thank you it makes my day.

I joined Soldier's Angels to make a difference. I never expected to receive as much in return as I was giving. My adopted soldier was so grateful for our support. The staff at Soldier's Angels made joining easy and is always very responsive if I have any questions. Soldier's Angels is truly full of people who care.
I have been a member of Soldiers Angels since 2013. There is nothing more rewarding than being able to reach out and send whatever you can to a soldier who is out there fighting for not only our freedom but for the rights of others to live. Even if its just a one time card to a soldier, it is a very special thing for them. I know that some do not get any support at all and if I could I would adopt all of them. As of today there are 96 very deserving soldiers waiting for adoption. Just a card a week and one package a month brings a great joy to them and lets them know that what they do matters - not just to their family but to a grateful nation.
In 2011 in stumbled upon this interesting website that really peaked my interest and knew I had to donate, but I wanted to do more. Since then I have been with the Letter Writing Team and even held a food drive so we could sent several care packages. I am so proud to be associated with this organization. I even got a tattoo of a Soldier's Angel on my arm as a reminder because we really believe in our motto.
I joined Soldiers Angels a couple of years ago, and have been so very proud to support our military. I am now caring for my 18th soldier, and proudly display on my dining room wall certificates that my grateful soldiers sent to me from Iraq and a heartfelt thank you letter. I never expect any thank you's, and support our soldier's because I care and can't thank them enough. I met one of my soldier's when returning home, and Soldier's Angels support meant so very much. I am blessed to have the opportunity to say thank you, and support our brave military. I did the Freedom Walk in Washington following 9/11, and met other Soldiers Angels. thank you to a wonderful organization !!
I have joined Soldiers Angels because an USMC veteran was there for me when I was going through a rough time and also because I want to give something back to those who not only sacrifice their life for our wellbeing but they are also amazing individuals you can always count on .From the first day I've joined Soldiers Angels I felt like i'm joining a family not only an organization .Thank you to all the amazing people at Soldiers Angels..I would also like to say a very special Thank You to Wendy Paredez who is not only my first team leader but also a very special friend. You really are an angel Wendy. Thank you Soldiers Angels for giving me the opportunity to help and for showing me that there are lots of people out there that do care. Together we can make a difference. God bless all the Service members, veterans, their families and all of you angels.
I joined this group by chance after searching the internet for a charity that supports the troups. The members of this organization are some of the most generous people I have ever met. And, not just in support of soldiers but in support of each other!
I love volunteering for this organization. The support they provide to our military is phenomenal!! I strongly recommend joining this wonderful group of people.
Soldiers' Angels does such a great job connecting people who want to help our soldiers to the soldiers themselves. They take great care in advising the "Angels" how to interact with their soldier in a supportive, non-stressful, appropriate manner - even if your soldier never responds! They have revamped their website to make reporting letters and packages practically effortless.
The satisfaction I have experienced interacting with these deployed men and women (that's the group I am in - there are many other types of support groups) is beyond compare. It is a very heart-warming experience to be the letter that brings cheer and brightens their day, the care package that makes not just their day but their week. And I am very much against the war!
Soldiers' Angels is an amazing non-profit.
I have really enjoyed working with this organization. The work they do is so needed and much appreciated by the service members. I am so proud to be a volunteer with Soldier's Angels.
I love being a part of such a wonderful group. I have been with them for a little over a month and I have enjoyed sending out letters to our troops deployed overseas and hoping that they receive our letters and know that we care about them and think of them everyday and what they do for us and our freedom.
I love this group! I enjoy making packages and sending them to the troops, writing letter, or sending cards. I love that we can all communicate together as Soldiers Angels and help each other with ideas and thoughts for helping the troops. It's great knowing that such a great organization exists and I'm part of it! It's nice that I can volunteer for what groups I want to help. Sending a letter to say "Thank you for serving our country" is very rewarding because I don't often get a chance to say that to our soldiers. Plus I love that I can send things like letters, packages, cards, etc. and do it privately without anyone knowing my deeds, because I do them from my heart and not so people think I'm a good person. Soldiers' Angels gives me that opportunity to do it for the most deserving people who live on this earth. I am free to do these things because of them who fought and fight for this right.
I enjoy supporting and contributing to our troops. A letter or a care package can mean so much to those who fight for you and me. They give the ultimate sacrifice, whats a little bit of our time to show them that we care. SA has been great, I get awesome support from my two leads.
Our men and women in the service need our support! A simple letter or card can mean so much to them. Please help this organization support those men and women. Let them know that the people in the United States care. Let none of them go unloved
I got notified that soldiers angels were partnering with a company to donate new bikes to military kids. This was such a blessing and I am so thankful! I wonderful organization.
I have been with Soldier's Angels for over a year and I have nothing but good things to say about the organization! They communicate clearly and regularly, there isn't extreme pressure to meet deadlines, and they have been nothing but gracious and helpful. The things they organize to give back to the men and women defending our country is amazing and the turnout they receive is evidence of this. I highly encourage everyone to get involved and/or donate if you don't feel that you can get involved.
I have been involved with Soldiers Angels for well over almost 2 years and have provided support for 4 deployed soldiers/ sailors. I have never felt prouder to be part of an organization that truly effects positive change for our service people on a personal level.

I have been a Soldier's Angel for over 1 year. In that time I have adopt 3 soldiers, acting as a resource and support to each of them through their deployment. I can't tell you what it feels like to make just a small difference in the life of another, especially one serving our country, often living in circumstances and making sacrifices that the average civilian could not even fathem. The people at Soldier's Angels are supportive, provide information and guidance, and respond to inquiries in a timely fashion. Being connected to and involved in this organization has been one of my greatest sources of personal satisfaction . I believe sincerely that the service men and women who are connected with civilians through soldiers angels benefit greatly as well.
Being a proud member of Soldier's Angels makes me feel am giving something back but when you get a letter from one of those that you have written thanking you it puts the biggest smile and really tugs at your heart to know that someone you have never met, someone so far away appreciates your card and letter ~ I love being a part of this...truly makes me feel so good to write someone in the military...
I love volunteering for Soldiers' Angels and have been an "Angel" for several years! It makes me feel that in some small way I am helping to serve my country by serving those that serve my country. I get a blessing from participating in this organization and I know many others who feel the same way.
I love this organization. They do so many amazing things for our servicemen and women who are deployed or retired. They even help out families that have lost their loved ones overseas. It's an amazing organization and I am proud to say that I have been involved for more than three years now. It's a great feeling to be able to help someone who doesn't have someone to talk to or is feeling lonely out there. It's also a very good learning experience too. I'll definitely give this organization a five star rating. They definitely deserve it. May No Soldier Go Unloved!
Soldiers' Angels is a very beneficial organization to all servicemen and women! I have been involved for 4 years and they are truly dedicated to our military. It has allowed me to support our service members and meet some wonderful individuals serving our country!
Adopting a deployed soldier has benefited my life in so many ways. I've had the pleasure of meeting such dedicated and caring people wearing the uniform. I've had fun sending stuff. I've had fun meeting a specific need or fulfilling wishful requests. I am in my 60's and this opportunity has given me meaningful things to do that others appreciate. I still hear from soldiers and their families and that brings such joy. I hope to start a Soldiers' Angels album soon. This organization has stepped up to the plate when our troops needed help the most, like with the bloody attack of 350 Taliban on COP Keating. Google that one.
I love this place. I greatly appreciate all soliders do and this is a perfect way for me to express that gratitude and give back. I have been doing this a few years now and have met some great soliders, who have all said how much they enjoy recieveing letters and packagaers from us! It's such a good opportunity to connect.
Soldiers' Angels has an amazing impact on our service members deployments and time at home, as well as my own. I have been so fulfilled being a part of this outstanding group, and meeting the other volunteers. Soldiers' Angels is unique in that it supports every aspect of a service member's life, from their family, to their deployment, to wounded support, to support of the families of the fallen. Whatever your talent is, Soldiers' Angels knows how to utilize it with one of their teams- cooking, baking, sewing, writing letters, sending care packages, you name it. Through SA, I feel like I have made a difference, while also knowing that the other volunteers and our service members have had a profound impact on my life as well.
Being part of Soldiers' Angels has been an amazing experience for me and my 2 daughters. We have volunteered for 5 years now and have adopted several deployed soldiers, some of which I still keep in contact with. Through Soldiers' Angels I have been able to teach my daughters how to give back to those men & woman who are giving so much of themselves for our freedom. I love being an "Angel" and would recommend this organization to anyone!!
Being a part of Soldier's Angels is SO rewarding!! To know that you are making a difference for someone you don't even know makes it SO worth while. I have talked to Soldiers who are serving and they said that just receiving a note or letter at mail call makes such a difference. I highly recommend becoming a part of this great organization.
Soldier's Angels is an awesome group of Angels who put their hearts as well time and creativity into every thing they do. I love being an "Angel"!!! I know the sacrifices that are made by both sides of the family and for them to have an Angel it's not only a comfort but encouraging at the same time.
I love volunteering for Soldiers' Angels! It makes me feel that in some small way I am helping to serve my country by serving those that serve my country. I get a blessing from participating in this organization.
My wife has participated in Soldiers' Angels for years, and I do what I can to help out. As an active duty service member myself, I can appreciate what this organization does for all of the deployed military members abroad. Many of the deployed are single and do not have anyone to communicate with, or receive care packages from, during what can be a pretty stressful time. I remember receiving care packages while I was deployed and it warmed my heart to know that people back home were thinking about us.
I joined Soldiers Angels four years ago after my, Uncle Lt.C. Raymond T. Rivas passed away, from his injuries in Iraq.I was researching ways to help our deployed military. I came across Soldiers Angels and after looking at their site; I new I had to apart of it. What appealed to me was the ease of access within the site as well as the diverse ways in which one can help. It's great because if your unsure of the role in which you'd like to be involved you can start by sending a one time letter and gradually building up to what I like I do now, sending a monthly box and weekly letters to an "adopted" hero or no matter your talents, Soldiers Angels can utilize to help bring a smile to our deployed soldiers. Such as baking, crocheting, women's teams everything helps. I always feel like if we can send the grateful thanks of a nation in a letter or a box, my uncle would smile, and I can honor his memory. One of the greatest feelings I get is when a military person writes thanking me for what I've sent. They tell me it means so much that people remember them, eventhough at times they feel forgotten. I'm always so humbled, proud, honored, amazed and extremely blessed by our military. I'm glad there's such an organization like Soldiers Angels around so our soldiers know, no matter where they are, they have an angel looking out for them. That's why I am proud to be a soldier's Angel.
This charity has been one of the most fulfilling opportunities that I have ever experienced. To be able to build a connection with a soldier who you will never meet but by hearing their stories through email or even knowing that you are making a difference to a soldier that is silent is such a blessing. I have volunteered for several years and have been blessed to do so.
Volunteering with Solders' Angels has been a wonderful experience! The support from leaders is great and the difference a letter and package makes to the men/women is heartfelt. I feel appreciated as part of this team.
This is a great organization that supports the men and women serving our country. I am proud to have been a volunteer with them for several years!
This helps are service people in many many ways. I have been adopting soldiers for many years and recenting started with the card program. Soldiers express their gratitude and appreciation that they are being thought of on a daily basis. They are our heros!
Soldiers's Angels is a terrific non profit and a great opportunity to just do something fun and simple for our armed forces...to sign up you do have to give a small amount monthly - even 5$ is fine - but you also send a note once a week and a package once a month to your service member...simple US Postage no matter where they are with a couple limited exceptions... at the end of the year you get a tax statement as well...no complaints, lots of help, totally simple and there is nothing that feels better then sending a few goodies from the dollar store etc to someone that is defending our country and has no one to send them mail!! Check it out!!
I love working with Soldiers Angels. They have so many different programs and ways to support our troops. It is a great organization!!
It's great to have contact directly with the troops. Almost of the money goes to troop support- much more than most other charity organizations.
A unique non profit, this great organization allows Soldiers/Sailers/Marines to sign up and indicate what would be useful to them so that those of us at home can say thank you in a tangible way. I have been aware of them for more than 8 years now, always do good work.
Outstanding organization to support our deployed troops. The communication I receive from my team leader keeps me in the loop and lets me know I'm part of team doing great things to support our military. Keep it up.
What a wonderful program! My fiancé is in the Navy and understanding the military life, I know the stories from the other end and how happy they are when they get something, anything to make their day special. I am still relatively new to this program but I have received a few letters from my deployed soldiers and something as little as good brand tampons made their day. It is a pleasure to help with as little as a letter and a car package and receive an occasional letter.
What a wonderful organization!!
Our family has been involved with Soldier's Angels for many years. We have been very fortunate to adopt many young men & women who protect our country and our freedoms. There are many ways to volunteer, and team members help you every step of the way! Great experience & wonderful people!!!
The Soldiers' Angels organization gives back so much more than I could ever give. I am proud to be a part of this organization. There are so many different teams within the organization depending upon what you wish to do. Write letters, bake, sew, Women of Valor, supporting spouses of wounded warriors, and the list goes on and on. My role as a SA volunteer is sponsoring military heroes in the Deployed Angel Team. What I especially love about SA is they don't simply connect you with someone in the military, and then forget about you. They provide the constant support and mentoring needed so that we in turn are able to be effective support to our military. We are assigned team leaders who connect with us regularly and if you have a question, their response is almost instantaneous. And, if the team leader doesn't have the answer, they find it and get back to you within 24 hours. Another plus for people on Social Media is that there are a number of closed group Facebook pages where you can connect with other volunteers and in return, receive the most incredible encouragement and support for what you do. It's such a fun group.
I wanted to join the Air Force but can't do to injuries as a kid and young adult. I spent almost a year looking for something like Soldier's Angels and they have exceed all my expectations as a Volunteer! I love working with Soldier's Angels and helping those who do serve! Working with Soldier's Angels has been extremely rewarding for me and I plan on volunteering with Soldier's Angels for as long as humanly possible!
Soldiers' Angels is truly a life-changing experience. Although I am fairly new to the program, I am on my 4th adopted solider and I can't even begin to express how fulfilling this experience has been in the short time I have been associated with the program. Gaining insight into soldiers' lives (If they choose to communicate) or even being involved in the FB Group for inspiration and support is truly amazing. It is essentially clear how much of an impact this has created for our deployed soldiers. This is an INCREDIBLE organization!
Soldiers' Angels is a wonderful organization that helps service members. Whether they are active duty or a veteran. You can send letters, adopt a service member('s), adopt a family and help them during the holiday season. There are many more wonderful things that you can do to show support to our troops! I started volunteering during the holiday season as a way to show appreciation for all that they do. Five months later I am still a volunteer and I love it. Check out their website!
I have loved every aspect of volunteering for Soldier's Angels. They give great support, answers all of our questions quickly. We are able to support our troops very easily thanks to Soldier's Angels. A Great group to be associated with.
I've been a Soldiers' Angels volunteer for three years. As a volunteer I receive constant support and encouragement from the organization. Soldiers' Angels continually finds ways to help our deployed soldiers, their families, wounded warriors, and other veterans. I receive emails and letters back from soldiers and veterans who are incredibly grateful to know their country hasn't forgotten about them.
I have nothing but positives for the Soldier's Angels organization. It has allowed our servicemen and women to know they are thought about and appreciated for all they do for us. It has also inspired me. It feels good to help and I try and carry it over into everyday interactions.
I've been a soldier's angel for close to 10 years..alot of times i dont hear from the soldiers, sometimes i do. I remember once i had a lady and when she told mer age i literally cried.she was 19,i have 4 that are older than her.she was stationed in Hong Kong...i could not imagine my kids in Hong Kong with out me there.we stayed in touch the whole deployment, every once in awhile i get an email addressed to my second mom...brings a smile to my face every time.with soldiers angels u can get as involved as u want.one letter or card or 20 its up to you.its nice to let our service men and women know someone cares...
You can trust Soldiers Angels. I am by nature quite skeptical so I checked SA out thoroughly. Its recent reorganization has made it into a lean, mean, support machine. The Angels are so excited about their service members and veterans, it is contagious. And we are able to help their families as well. I am very thankful for Soldiers Angels.
Soldiers' Angels has changed my life! The very first soldier that I "adopted" became a member of my family. My husband and I traveled to Germany where he was stationed after his tour in Afghanistan. I am the Godmother to his son! He is now stateside and we talk all the time and have traveled to Texas to spend time with him. I am so blessed to have him as my son.
I recently became an angel for soldiers angels. I adopted two overseas soldiers that were both in Korea. What a wonderful first time experience! The process was easy to begin and everyone has been so helpful if I had any questions. What a wonderful organization for people who deserve it the most!
I have been a member of Soldiers Angels for four years. I am honored to be part of this organization. What a wonderful feeling to support those military members, families and veterans who give so much! I like that there are several teams to join - makes it easier to volunteer my time.

I have been a volunteer with Soldiers Angels a little over 3 years now. I'm so thankful to our men and women in the armed forces and Soldiers Angels is a great way to support them. Our family has enjoyed getting to know our adopted soldiers. My daughter likes shopping with me for items to send our soldiers - it's like Christmas shopping once a month - it's fun to shop for them and it's nice to give back. The soldiers are so appreciative. We started this to show our support and give encouragement to our soldier hero's but they have touched our lives as well. Glad to be a part of something great!
I am on my third adoption of a US soldier that I do not know personally. They have all been deployed overseas. It makes me happy to be able to send them cards and letters as well as a package of goodies every month. I know that it brightens their day and they also know they are not forgotten.

I volunteered years ago with Soldiers' Angels and have recently come back into the fold. They just keep getting better. They are so organized and responsive to volunteer and soldiers' needs, their website is intuitive and easy to use, and the support they provide soldiers is unparalleled. I'm honored to be among the volunteers again and hope to bring comfort to those in need. Thank you Soldiers' Angels!
I just have been with Soldiers Angels for few week, but this organization is the best i ever worked with. The Team is very nice and really helpful, i love to be a part of it and im happy to put a smile on someone's face with just a few $ and the most important thing we can give, our time!
This is one of the absolute best non-profit organizations I know! They not only say they support the military, but show it through love, sacrifice, and dedication through all of the volunteers. Each and every package that gets sent to our soldiers, regardless of branch of service, is personal and selected for the individual recipient. Its not the same old thing that everyone gets, but something that is hand selected and mailed.
This is an awesome organization. All the leaders and volunteers really care about our current military, their families and veterans. This is the best military support organization that I have worked with.

I have been supporting soldiers since my brother joined the Army in 2011. Soldier's Angels is by far the best organization I have found that supports our soldiers. They offer great support for volunteers and are very organized. Not only do they support our troops, but they support the caregivers of wounded soldiers and families of fallen soldiers. Soldier's Angels has many programs to offer volunteers. From adopting a soldier to writing letters to baking cakes, there is something for everyone that wants to help. I can't say enough good things about this organization. They truly care about our soldiers.

I have been a volunteer angel off and on for several years and this is one of the best organizations that I have been a part of! The mission is always at the front and everyone works together to be sure that "no soldier goes unloved!" Teams work together and the information is shared through the network. You can feel secure that all time, money and effort goes to the support of our military. I am SO PROUD to be a Soldiers Angel!
This organization has been really great to help out with. We get to be a support line to all of our serving men and women and experience the direct impact. Everything has been really organized and great.
This organization is truly amazing. It is made up of people who care about our men and women who are serving our country as well as men and women who are being cared for in VA hospitals. We at Soldiers' Angels make blankets, wheelchair covers, hats, slippers you name it; all to bring them something from home with love and respect for what they do so selflessly. Being a member of Soldier' Angels has given me a wonderful purpose to my life. Where would we be without them?" May no soldier go unloved."
Soldiers angels is led by two outstanding folks who dedicate their entire lives to support and assisting our veterans. Both are service spouses and the CEO is a veteran! They will stop whatever they are in the middle of to assist a vet in need day or night. The organization is the most dedicated and tireless organization I have ever known! One of their best attributes is that they are still focused on every single individual vice others who have lost their true ways and simply look as a vet in need as just another number.
Soldier's Angels is an amazing organization to be affiliated with! Please keep in mind when looking for an honest and caring organization to volunteer for. The work and compassion of the people working for Soldier's Angels is awe-inspiring!
I belong to the letter writing team & hope to bring a smile to a current or vet service personnel thr my letter writing. My team mentor has been very helpful and along the way,I've made a few more international friends.
You will never regret joining this incredible organization. The most kind, caring, generous people you will ever meet. Supporting our deployed Heroes since 2003 ! It is truly amazing what this group of people have done.

I joined in 2007 and I can tell you it is the best thing I have ever done. I have participated in several of the Teams and when you feel you need a change of pace, join another team. Sewing Team, Blankets of Hope, Blankets of Belief, Adoptions, sending Cups of Joe ! The opportunities are endless to put a GRIN on a CHIN ! To touch a life and send comforts from HOME !
I have been a soldiers' angel for three years. SA is such a wonderful organization. There are lots of great ways for people to get involved - something as simple as writing a card or letter to deployed heroes all the way up to volunteering at the VAs throughout the country. We have something for everyone which makes us truly unique. It has been such a rewarding experience. I am looking forward to many more years of volunteering with this amazing organization. I am proud to be an angel!
I am a Soldiers' Angel and I can't tell you how wonderful it is to have found such a fantastic organization to volunteer with. I have done volunteer work in the past but hands down this has been the most meaningful. We often hear from soldiers, vets, care givers, and families telling us what a difference we make with something as simple as a card or letter. Knowing we make a difference means the world to me. I wish everyone could experience what we Angels have experienced.
Soldiers Angels is such a wonderful organization. Helping to share back to those who protect and keep us safe. These angels help the veterans to know they are not alone and that someone is out there who cares for them and supports them. God bless this group and all they do.
This was my first experience with "Soldiers' Angels" and it has been a good one. Anytime I have questions I get a fast response. I enjoy the name and being able to have options of how to help soldiers.
Soldiers' Angels has heart that a lot of non-profits lack these days. It is a group of caring individuals trying to make a difference in the lives of Veterans.
This is the most wonderful organization! I love the care and support it provides our Troops, Veterans and our Military Families.
I started volunteering for Soldier's Angels a few months ago. I am a veteran and I wish this group had been around when I was in the Army. I find great joy in making stuff for the soldiers and sending them goodie boxes. I know that, even if I don't hear from them, they appreciate my letters and boxes. I remember how it felt when I got a letter or a box at mail call. I want every soldier to know that there is someone out there that appreciates the sacrifice they made by choosing to protect our country and our freedoms.
I found out about Soldier's Angels through my colleague with Mary Kay. They had donated Mary Kay products in the past to the soldiers & a lot of our family members have served in the military, so I thought it would be a nice idea to adopt a couple members of the military and send care packages. The staff are very attentive and readily available to speak to you or answer any concerns you have. Once you join a group you get an email from a member of the group providing her contact information in the event you need assistance. The mail takes a while and sometimes the tracking never gets updated so it is good to email your service member or send them stamps and paper so you can know when they get their package. Otherwise the tracking never updates and you will never know if it arrived. Otherwise it's a great way to provide items that the troops may not get themselves and they are all so generous they share their items with the other troop members.
I began volunteering with Soldiers Angels 3 years ago and love the feeling I get when providing care packages and letters of support for soldiers abroad. The soldiers are always so thankful to receive care packages and they appreciate correspondence from 'home'. In return, I am grateful for the opportunity to provide a small gesture of gratitude for the men and women who serve our beautiful country.
Soldiers' Angels is such an amazing organisation to volunteer with! It has been my privilege to play my small role in the essential work that they do. The staff are so wonderfully helpful and efficient, and have worked hard to build a strong and accountable organisation. I have loved being part of such a worthwhile movement to care for those who serve and protect, and I will be volunteering with them for a long time to come.
My husband was a career soldier so I have lived far from home on many assignments and remember how proud I was to be an American. Working with the Angels brings me great satisfaction as it is so personal. I write letters, send cards and have taken on two WOV. It is all pure joy.
This is a wonderful organization and the leaders are very helpful and go out of there way to do whatever they can for you. I love working with this group and would encourage anyone to volunteer with them
I am a Soldiers Angel. I spend my time and send my love with every note and letter I write. I am grateful for this opportunity to serve my country by supporting our soldiers who are serving theirs.
I woke up in Iraq after surgery to find a backpack full of all the essentials. I had nothing to my name as it was either all destroyed by the IED blast or cut off me. I was again united with Soldier's Angels while in Walter Reed AMC recuperating. They helped me a great deal on more than one occasion. I believe they are the best small NGO trying to help wounded warriors.
I have been blessed to be part of this organization since 2008. Being a high school teacher I was able to involve my school and community in projects that involved us sending over 50 boxes to Soldiers who were deployed. Even at my current job members of my team donate to help me fill care packages! I am surrounded at my desk by pictures and letters that soldiers have written back to me which motivates me to keep going knowing that what I do matters. I believe that because I chose not to serve it is my duty (and honor) to serve those who do! If you think of the amazing sacrifice these brave men and women make for us you won't hesitate to join and/or donate.
Hi. I joined Soldiers Angels Writing geam. Love the work that they do. Usually for lent a give something up. But this year I decided to play it forward and help someone out. So I found this we site about what Soldiers Angels do so I signed up. Another reason I signed up is after I saw American Sniper. That was had a great impact o me. He was a hero impact my ok and so are all our services personnel. Right now I have 13 soldiers I write, email, gmail or send cards to. I am so blessed. God Bless our soldiers and may they come home safely.
Overall, everything was GREAT! Fast responses and straightforward. I can't think of anything to improve.
I cant speak on improvements, but when our family needed assistance this past Christmas, SA helped our family and followed up with us. We had a wonderful
I really appreciate the sincerity of the Angel who helped my family during out time of need. I appreciate her willingness and generosity in helping our family
200583415 , rating 100, my role is spouse, care giver to my family. My comment : I feel the program really helped out my family in the time of need at
This program put joy into homes. blessed families that I'm sure will forever be grateful. I personally don't think this program needs any improvements.
They made our Children's Christmas wishes come true! We would have not had any kind of Christmas if it was not for Soldiers' Angels! We were very Blessed!
We have always had great experiences with Soldiers' Angels! They've been so helpful to our family, we couldn't ask for more. We're so thankful for all they do!
100% disabled wounded veteran. I am his caregiver and the help we received from this organization was above and beyond.

I found Soldier's Angels almost 3 years ago. It was one of the best things I could have done. Not only is it a great personal experience connecting with the other angels, but the soldiers I have adopted have changed my life. It is so fulfilling to work with individual soldiers and learn their life stories. While it is critical that we help support the military as a whole, to have a face and contact info of a citizen back home can make or break a Soldier's deployment. What Soldier's Angels does is priceless.
The women that run this organization are always there. They are quick to respond to any questions or issues you may have. I recommend them all the time.
I have been amazed at how they care for our Veterans. They provide patient meals in the VA hospitals, distribute care and comfort items to the patients,
Soldiers' Angels far exceeds the goal of serving military personnel and veterans. They are an extremely efficient organization and I am honored to suppor
Working with veterans has given me more joy throughout my career than any other population. To have a group like Soldiers' Angels go above and beyond for them is beyond words. They put together an exceptional Thanksgiving Dinner for my veterans who were unable to be with family at that time. I was able to take them to spend the day with this wonderful group of volunteers. If that wasn't enough, they send my veterans back with so much leftover food for the ones who weren't able to make it! This is such a caring and amazing organization. Thank you so much!
I am so grateful for the Soldier's Angels, it is wonderful to know that someone cares about the Viet Nam Vets and other returning Vets. The Soldier's Angels is a wonderful program without a doubt. No one seems to understand what we feel as forgotten Vets but thanks to the Soldier's Angel but I come out to show appreciation.
Thank you so much
Adrian Gonzales
Thank you so much Soldiers Angels for what you have done for my family. Words cannot full express the magnitude of love that we have for you all. What an amazing group of people who are driven and determined to help Veterans across the nation. Please, if your considering donating to a worthy cause, consider Soldiers Angels.
I love Soldiers' Angels and am so happy to be a part of such a great organization. Volunteers to not have to pay to be involved. The organization has thousands of volunteers all over the country and only a small number of those are involved in the program that does require a contribution. I work both with local efforts, which does not require a donation, and on a team, which does. It's well worth it both on the teams and virtually.
I have also left Soldiers Angels Organization because they demand payment to be a part of their charity. No way should someone HAVE to pay to be able to send a package to a Soldier or help in other ways. I will say what is great about Soldiers Angels isn't the organization but rather the individuals who are involved and who have never seen Soldiers Angels Executive Board up close and personal. I DO NOT recommend this organization. I have served as a Registered Nurse to our Veterans. I believe 100% in our Veterans but would rather see the monies go 100% to our Veterans and Soldiers. I am a firm believer of some charities but will NEVER endorse this one after what I have seen and experienced first hand. Please DO help our Veterans and Soldiers but do it through organizations like the DAV and serving our Veterans first hand at the VA Hospitals. Your help for our Veterans and Soldiers not an Organization is desperately needed!

SOLDIERS ANGELS WISCONSIN CNC AND STATE "ACTING" LEADER: Before Soldiers Angels, I was a Registered Nurse for our Veterans. My back was injured and pain took over. Eventually, the pain became "managed" and I began missing my Veterans. Because of the back damage, I couldn't go back to work caring for them. I did an internet search and looked at all the organizations. I knew there were many to pick from. I picked Soldiers Angels because they have so many teams. You can do anything from sending a card to adopting a Soldier on a "one to one basis". Also, they don't stop with just the Soldiers. I also organized ice cream socials in two of our VA Hospitals. Our Veterans "love these" per their own words. This gives them something to look forward to all month. I also love the fact that they give backpacks to the wounded in the battlefield and also backpacks for the VA hospitals. This December, we raised over $500 for that endeavor. We will be hosing another event in May for the same purpose. I've talked to the returning Soldiers who tell me that they keep these backpacks with them in the field and use them on the injured soldiers as they need them. They couldn't thank Soldiers Angels enough. I could also talk about the many soldiers I've been blessed to adopt. One adopted me and became my Son. I've been very blessed through my involvement. I write letters and am a letter writing team captain. I know the Soldiers LOVE the letters they receive, it's a taste of home. It's a honor and privilege to do all I can for our Soldiers and Veterans. Soldiers Angels has enabled me to continue care giving for those who give even up to their lives for us. How can you possibly say thank you to an organization that great? I need some words that haven't been invented yet to be able to do that! I'm very grateful and honored to be part of Soldiers Angels.
Review from Guidestar
We would like to thank Soldier's Angels. The stuff they donated was a tremendous help for my family as we were just moving in here. This organization exceeded our expectations by 10 fold. The things you guys do are irreplaceable. Thank you guys.
I'd like to thank Soldiers' Angels for the donated items we received, they saved us money and helped around the house. Also, everyone volunteering was awesome!
I've been a volunteer with Soldiers' Angels for over a year now and I send out anywhere from 30 to 60+ cards a month to deployed soldiers and veterans. My greatest joy is getting my mail or opening my email and seeing something from a soldier saying how very much they appreciate the letters and care packages they receive from our angels. I often hear that the soldier was having a rough day and then got several cards/letters from angels right then when they needed them most. Thank you to all the volunteers and to those who donate cards, supplies, items, money to help us continue reaching out to our soldiers who are giving up so much to serve our country.
I can only thank the Soldiers Angeles for all the work they've done for my family and I. Though I am no longer their area, I loved the time I spent with each of the (SA) members. Memories I will never forget, and love. Thank you again Soldiers Angeles.
I love Soldiers' Angels and the work the organization does. I'm proud and honored to be a part of it! The changes made recently have made a difference in the organization and really made is a better place for all of us to volunteer.

I love Soldiers' Angels and the amazing work the organization does. I think it's about time the organization put some necessary structure in place. The organization had great heart but lacked structure. Patti wanted to do too many things for too many people and didn't take the time to run a business. I'm so excited to see the organization focusing on VA Medical Center support. It's greatly needed!
I am a new volunteer from the Great State of Tennessee. My Soldier is also from Tennessee and that is fantastic. After writing for a few months, I asked her why she wrote for an Angel Pen Pal and she told me that she was ordered to by the Commander as she had not heard from her family in quite a while and was depressed. She is now hearing from her Mom again and so she now has two families in Tennessee who Love her. Thank you Soldiers Angels for allowing us Angels to make such a huge difference in a Soldier's life.
Since the new leadership took over at Soldiers Angels and instituted a "pay your dues or you can't be on a team" policy, I am no longer an active angel. I prefer my money go directly to the services offered to the troops, not to try to balance a poorly run budget and the upcoming planned salaries for the SA leadership. As a volunteer we were asked to pay our dues AND to pay for the postage/gifts we sent to the troops and their families.
I'm not sure who benefits more in Soldiers' Angels, the soldiers I write to or me. I have been a verified angels for almost 3 years and it has been a wonderful experience. We don't always hear from our soldiers regularly; however when we do, they are so excited about receiving the letters and the boxes it is most gratifying. Homemade cookies bring cheers! And I often hear how my soldiers share what they find in the boxes. What special people our soldiers are!
I have been a Soldier's Angel for about 6 years. This has been a very gratifying endeavor. I have had the honor of becoming friends of several of these heroes, and have been able to keep in touch after their deployment. I was also able to host some of these brave men and women in our home. One wonderful example was being invited to a graduation for one of my Soldier/heroes at the ceremony for her becoming an security expert to protect US.
I am proud to be able to help these heroes, with letters and small reminders of how proud we are of their service.
I began working with Soldiers' Angels Germany in 2006 and am happy to say that I still am. I visited the hospital in Germany and saw the impact of what we do. I am also involved in many of the other teams: OTK, Veterans Support, adoptions to name a few. The feedback I have received lets me know that this Organization is important to so many people.
I have been with Soldiers Angels for 3+years and have found it to be the best support system for Soldiers, Veterans and it's volunteers. It creates a sense of pride to be able to provide support to others.
My husband and I have been Soldiers' Angels since about 2006. It brings us joy to know we are helping someone in the military in a war zone by writing them and sending them care packages. The responses we receive for our efforts are worth more than we could ever give. Through Soldiers' Angels we are connected with men and women in the military. Otherwise we'd never know how to connect. And, the volunteer leaders are fantastic. If we have a question, we know where to go to get an answer! Jackie and Bill Eadie
soldier Angels is an awesome group, I was very excited to become a volunteer, the soldiers appreciate getting letters and boxes, when they get letters and boxes they know that there are Americans back home thinking of them and Praying for them , this organization does so much for our Soldiers as well as Veterans and wounded Soldiers, I am so glad that Imam apart of this, I have written and sent boxes to many Soldiers through this wonderful organization, some have written back, emailed back and some have not, even if they have not responded back I still adopt Soldiers and write to them and send the packages, MAY NO SOLDIER GO UNLOVED.

I have never been involved with a non-profit before Soldiers' Angels. Somehow I started following them on Facebook and then realized to go check out their website and saw I could support our troops besides just care packages. Knowing that these soldiers really appreciate hearing from back home. I have always been drawn to the military, was not lucky enough to have a strong military (step-dad a reserve Navy). I felt the need to do something else to show that I am always thinking of them. This is such a great non-profit.

I followed Soldiers' Angels on Facebook before I realized the website. I always wanted to do more to support our troops and our vets. It was nice to know I could still show support by writing letters (and a few care packages to the soldiers on my list). I loved it so much at I even adopted a soldiers. I'm fairly new to writing so I haven't heard back from anyone. But, that's not why I'm doing this. It's to show my love and support to all that service.
This is a very special non profit. Supporting the troops while deployed is no easy task since there are thousands! I help because I want to make sure each and every soldier knows their service is appreciated.
As a wife of a veteran, I was so excited to become a volunteer with Soldiers' Angels! This amazing organization does so much for our veterans and deployed active duty personnel. I have had the pleasure of helping at several events and it is wonderful to see the difference this organization makes for our veterans and service members! I am proud to be an Angel!
I am a clinician that works with a group of veterans that recieve the benefits of our local Soldiers Angels group. The organization is incredible thorough, flexible, and passionate. They provide bi-monthly meals with so much left over food that the veterans in this residential program can eat this for several days rather than the hospital food. Beyond the experience of a wonderful homecooked meal they also provide basic essentials like shirts, socks, and soap, but the what they provide are much more fun like scented soaps and clothes with fun logos. The veterans all enjoy their time with these volunteers. These volunteers prove to our veterans that "normal people" care about them, no matter what their history is. As a staff member working with these volunteers, I know I have very little to worry about. They work hard to work within the framework of our program as well as providing their service with care.
I have been a volunteer for only a short time but enjoy it very much the soldiers appreciate everything Soldiers Angels does and stands for. It is a wonderful organization and has touched the lives of so many, and many in a time of need. If it's just a friendly letter or a awesome care package it puts a smile on a Soldiers face you never know if that's just the thing they needed to get thru that day.
I have been a volunteer for almost two years now. This agency does wonderful things for our troops! They have a variety of ways to help out and are great with communicating what the agency has been doing. The customer service folks are quick to help you with your needs. It's so rewarding to be able to do the work of a soldiers' angel with this group.
I have been a volunteer with Soldiers Angels for 3 years and have thus far adopted 4 soldiers. This is such a worthwhile organization. The soldiers are so appreciative of the letters and packages sent to them. It means so much to them, and I can't tell you how much I enjoy supporting our troops through Soldiers Angels. I shall continue to adopt soldiers for a very,. very, VERY long time!
I have been a member of Soldiers Angels since 2004. I joined for a simple reason, to try to make a difference. I have since adopted over 15 soldiers and sent numerous care packages. Soldiers Angels provides a great service to not only active service men and women but also helps provide support to their families and veterans. Each soldier that has responded to my letters or emails has expressed how much they appreciate what we are doing as much as we appreciate what they are doing. So while the news and politics refer to the military as a number or statistic, Soldiers' Angels does what it can to help the individual.
My mom is the Representative for Soldiers' Angels at Hines VA. I help her make cards for the veterans there and collect personal care items for the inpatients at Hines. This organization serves American's Veterans and Deployed Troops. Great way to give back to those who gave so I could be free.
This is a wonderful charity. I have adopted an angel and think of her every day,as she is in Afghanistan. My team leader, stays in contact and gives me a lot of positive feed back..I was looking to adopt a soldier as my daughter had retired from the Air Force and I know how home sick these kids can be. We all need to make sure no soldier is left behind. Soldiers Angels is a wonderful organization. Jeannie F.
Early this summer, I was looking for a way to help out an organization that is giving back to our fellow people. I stopped at the Soldier's Angels booth and was happily greeted by the booth workers. They were so informative and it was such a good cause to benefit those who give their life every day to protect our country. I signed up that very next week and enjoy writing and doing things for the soldiers serving overseas. It is a blessing to have this organization. I have also recommended friends to join.
Soldiers' Angels are making sure that no soldier is left behind and I enjoy writing letters. This helps me to give time to those who are heroes in this country. I really appreciate the opportunity to reach out in this way. Being a veteran myself, this present me with an opportunity to express my sense of pride, gratitude for their sacrifice, and thanks for their service to our country! I have an adopted soldier, write letters, and have a caregiver of a wounded hero.
I have been looking for an organization like Soldier's Angels for some time. As a scout troop co-leader, I've been wanting our girls to help support our deployed women and men for years. As wonderful as it may be to support local causes, it is very important to me that my daughter know who makes it possible for her to support these local causes...if that makes sense. When Soldier's Angels showed up in my feed on Face Book, from a friend's post, I jumped right in to research the organization, and signed up that day.
Being able to support our deployed men and women beyond more than a "thank you" upon a public encounter, is such an amazing thing. My daughter, who is 11, has absolutely taken the idea of a 'care package' and run with it. She always includes a note and her own hand picked items in each package, and tells everyone she talks to that she "adopted a soldier, and you should too." Participating in the Verified Angel's portion of this amazing organization has been such a positive experience for both of us.
I love the Soldier Angel program. I have adopted soldier's, familes and write letters. Its something I enjoy doing with my 6 year old daughter. I have family in the military so hits close to home that is for sure. The people that work at Soldier Angel are the most caring, loving and fun people. They are always there for support and encouragment. I always suggest them to family and friends looking for ways to support our troops.
I have been a volunteer with Soldiers Angels for about a year now and could not have picked a better organization to donate my time and resources to. As a military brat I understand the hardships the soldiers face while away on deployment and this organization provides so much support and relief to them. Soldiers Angels doesn't just provide care packages to the men & women down range, they also create a community for their "Angels" to share ideas, hardships, and joys. I could not think of a better organization to be a part of!
God Bless,
Kirsten
I am a new verified angel. I got their info from the show "Coming Home". I am very proud of all of our soldiers. I am also proud to be a part of this organization who show support and compassion to those serving our country. God bless each soldier and God bless each Soldiers Angel!!
9/11 sent shock waves throughout the country. Men & women voluntarily signed up to protect us. I wanted to show them my support for their selfless acts & found Soldiers' Angels on the Internet. I've been a member since 2005 & am a better person because of it. There are many teams to join-Adopt a Soldier, Ladies of Liberty, Letter Writing, TLC/Birthdays, Blankets of Belief, Angel Bakers & Women of Valor-the female caregivers back home of Post 9-11 wounded, ill and injured service members-and the list goes on. Every one of them conveys our gratitude and undying support for them. There's nothing like words of encouragement when you're far from home living in a desolate place. I have participated in several teams and feel both privileged and honored to belong to Soldiers' Angels, a caring and giving organization whose main goal is to make sure our troops know they are appreciated & loved. Thank you Soldiers' Angels for giving me the opportunity to show or service men & women they are always in our minds & in our hearts.
I have been a part of the Soldiers' angels before angels became verified angels and just this year joined the verified angel group. I am glad to be a part of this organization who help the Brave men and women of this country. When I can I adopt a soldier or a family at Christmas, you see I can related to those two mom's who started this organization. My daughter is in the Air Force and went to Iraq and it was the most I have ever worried about her, but had to put on a brave face for her. I believe most military mom's can related to one another even if we do not know one another, We can feel the pain when a soldier is lost, we cry silently at home for that families pain or rejoice with that family that gets a surprise visit from their loved one. Anyone can share their love, pass hope on, get involved and help a good cause you do not have to have some one in the military to feel the emotions we all feel, get involved with letter writing if nothing else. It breaks my heart to know there are young men and women out there with no support from family. Can you imagine what it must be like to be fighting for your country, but have no one at home supporting you, giving you encouragement when you need it, but you can be that support and encouragement for one of those Brave young men or women by sending letters or care packages. If you like to play santa adopt a military family at Christmas, have fun shopping for a child who needs you because with out you there might not even be a Santa. Please let you love flow and Bless our military one letter at a time, or one care package. Check out the soldiers' Angels and see all the different things they do, you just might be surprised by all the choices there are to chose from. You might just find that this is the most worthy cause you ever joined!! I know I am glad I found this organization and may God always Bless them and our military!! I am hoping you will become an angel too.
My daughter and I are so happy to be Angels for a deployed soldier. There is something special about supporting someone who is serving our country, putting his life on the line for our freedom. It's a great bonding activity for us, and an honor to be part of the network of Angels and other volunteers supporting our service members and veterans. Soldiers Angels is a very thorough and organized network of volunteers, with volunteers who train and support other volunteers. I will stay involved with this organization for a very long time!
when i was in afghanistan the soldiers angels really brightened up my day. many sent treats with cards, postcards and pictures of themselves that i hung in the command center. i was so happy as an adoptee that i became a volunteer when i came home. i actually enjoy giving more than the receiving
I am totally happy and thrilled to be a Soldiers Angel! It's a great feeling sending care packages and writing letters to soldiers. I love the hands on experience of putting together care packages and knowing it's something the Soldiers can use. The help of the Soldiers Angel staff are amazing. They help guide you through the whole process of getting started and I always get a quick response. The Facebook page is of great help and ideas too!
I love volunteering for Soldiers' Angels! I realize that we truly make a difference by sending simple things like snacks and toiletries. I even made a life-long friend through this organization. I know each service member (including my husband) is thankful for a program such as this one, where we take into account their needs.
I feel very proud to be a volunteer for Soldiers' Angels. It's a wonderful opportunity to give back to the military. I am amazed at the dedication I see from the many volunteers who donate their time, talent, and resources for homecomings, hospital visits, baby showers and dinners for our military members and their families. With great pride, I write this. God Bless!
I have been a volunteer for a variety of organizations throughout my life. I have finally found my true calling which is volunteering for Soldiers' Angels. The "angels" connected with this organization is awesome! I love the support and comraderie among the volunteers. I feel like we are all family, supporting and giving to our hero's and shero's. They are the backbone of this country. I pray daily that more Americans will step forward to help support them. And by support, it could mean as little as writing a letter to a soldier overseas. It doesn't take much to put a smile on a soldiers face who hasn't seen their family in over a year.
We all know that freedom certainly is not free!
I joined Soldier's Angels a few months ago when a friend told me about it. She has been an Angel for many years and very highly recommended that I join also. I have thoroughly enjoyed writing letters and sending packages to our service people. I have received messages from a few telling me how much my letters mean to them. They inspire me and I am so grateful for an organization, such as Soldier's Angels. I have shared their website with many of my pen pals encouraging them to join. Our military are doing so much for us and giving so much for us, and this is a small way for me to let them know how much I appreciate them. Thank you, Soldier's Angels!
I have adopted a few of our brave men who have gone over and fought for our freedom. I do everything in my power to make them feel at home away from home. Even though I can only do so much to help them I do my best I am so glad that there is a program like this one...
I come from a military family. My Uncle was an Army Ranger and passed away in 2009. In his memory I wanted to help our military. I love writing letters and sending boxes to our amazing men and women of our Armed Forces. I am proud to be able to volunteer with this organization. I love the helpful team leaders and the ease of navigating the site. The people who dedicate their time to writing and helping our military feel a deep sense of patriotism and reward that comes from volunteering. This organization is a great way to allow us to do so. We are SO PROUD of our MILITARY. Soldiers Angels allows us to express our respect, love and pride for our military through the various programs available. I've been a part of Soldiers Angels for 3 yrs and I love every minute. When I see letter in my mail box with an APO or FPO address I smile and most importantly our military knows they are remembered.
I've been a Soldiers' Angel for almost 8 years now and it's been one of the best things I've ever done in my life!!! Knowing that we make a difference in so many of our heroes lives is simply the greatest feeling ever. To see first hand the immeasurable sacrifices that are made for all of us every single day is nothing short of humbling. We are always there for them, until they all come home. And when they get home, we're there for them too. Our wounded heroes, veterans and families need constant care and prayers, and they get it through us!!
Soldiers' Angels has always been a compassionate, professional, generally awesome organization throughout this whole experience. It's an organization that I'm so VERY VERY proud to be a part of and tell anyone about that will listen!! :D
I became apart of this group after I got out of the army. I was deployed to Iraq and remember some of my friends who didn't receive any mail. There s nothing better than hearing your name read off at mail call. I've written hundreds of letters and if I've brighten up just one persons day it's been totally worth it!!!
I found this organization on line when looking for a pen pal. The military as always been close to my heart as many family members have faithfully served including my oldest son. I wanted to make a difference in the lives of those who give so selflessly everyday. This is a first class organization and I enjoyed being a part of a young soldiers life by writing and sending packages. He enjoyed receiving them as much as I enjoyed sending them. If you don't have time to shop and mail a package, the organization makes it easy for you with the Angels store. You pick out a package, pay for it and they send it! It doesn't get easier than that! Thank you for all you do for the service men and women of the United States!
I am amazed at how committed this group is to our military. My friend is retired Army told me how wonderful his "angel" was and told me I would love it and I do! I have had 4 soldiers now and I enjoy doing this so much. The people in charge clearly explain things when I have had questions and they respond quickly. Love this group and all they do and stand for!!
My high school club donated candy to VAs through Soldiers Angels after Halloween. I liked that it was so accessible since they promptly replied when I inquired and they will take any kind of help you offer. It is a great organization!
This is one of the few military charities where the money raised in a certain state or service area can actually be spent in that area to help the local veterans directly! Volunteering is a very hands-on experience!
I have had such wonderful experiences while being a part of Soldiers' Angels. Not only the many men and women in uniform that I have had a chance to meet, but families, veterans and the volunteers. It is amazing to watch how people come together to help one another to see that NO Service Member goes unloved. It is a fantastic organization and I am humbled and proud to be a part of it.
This is just a wonderful group and highly recommend all to be part of it. I am loving being a volunteer and am so thankful for a group who takes care of our Soldiers!!!
It is so awesome to be able to volunteer with an organization that works so diligently to help to insure our veterans are not forgotten. I am happy for the opportunities they give me to serve those who have served!

I HIGHLY recommend this non-profit company. They have assisted my family in a time of need, and are a wonderful help to a veteran with a family such as mine. The staff and volunteers that I have interacted with were all wonderful, kind and great people! I think that this an amazing non-profit company that truly cares of the people they serve!
My husband U.S (Army Veteran) and I were thankful and appreciate the help of "Soldiers Angels " in assisting us with free household items! Everyone was courteous, helpful and professional. The experience certainly surpassed our expectations* Thanks again. God Bless* Mr.& Mrs. Tanneberger
I am the daughter, sister, aunt and Mother to a past male and Active female soldier. My dad is a vet of the Korea war so when I saw the ad on Craigslist I registered my father and told my Brother retired AF and my Nephews, Sister in law and son. I escorted my dad to the event and he was so greatful for all he received. All the staff was very kind and helpful. Everyone made us feel very welcome. My dad and the others though it was wonderful and Thank me for the information. I wish to Thank your organization and all its volunteers.
My daughter saw the post on cregslist about the give away and signed us up and am I ever thankful. We had just moved and we got hundreds of dollars in household supplies and goodies. Every thing from Computer games to toilet bowl cleaner. Brooms, mops, dishes, cups, glasses, and nick knacks for my wife. Thank You very much to all the vendors who donated and to the Soldiers' Angels for the great job at distributing. The staff was so nice, helpful, friendly, professional, and courteous. This was one of the nieces surprises I have experienced in years. God Bless all, and THANK YOU sooooo much.
My husband is a 67 year old Viet Nam veteran. I saw the post on Craigslist and told him about it, he was skeptical, didn't want to go. He's a proud man and to him this was like getting leftovers. I convinced him to go and how wrong he was. We didn't have to wait long, the volunteers were very friendly, the products were organized. Talking to other veterans and the volunteers was a wonderful experience. And the products we got are new, useful products. Thanks Soldiers' Angels for the wonderful work you do, keep up the great work. God bless!!
I am a disabled vet who was injured during my return from Afghanistan. I heard about Soldiers' Angels almost 8 years later. However, every time Soldiers' Angels are involved in something I have attended, the outcome has always surpassed my expectations, from how I was treated by the staff and volunteers to the things they have helped me out with to the things they have given me. Once again, out of the blue there's this add on craigslist stating a giveaway for veterans. What a blessing my family has received due to Soldiers' Angels continuing to just give generously. It's hard for men to put their tails between their legs and ask for help, especially those who served (this includes women)(my opinion only), but Soldiers' Angels doesn't wait for us to drop our pride. Instead, they create constant opportunities to get the help we need. Thank you for making it easier for us. I (we) appreciate all this organization does.
My husband and I were so blessed to have found the ad for the giveaway today in San Antonio! As we're still new to the area and preparing to find a home, the gifts we received saved us tons of money and will be a good start to warming our home-to-be. We could not be more thankful for the vendors' generosity or for the kindness of the individuals who guided us through the hour. God Bless you for serving those who've served.

My husband and I attended the Veterans giveaway in San Antonio. We appreciated the great gifts we got. Everyone was so kind and Helpful. Thank you so very much got so many needed items. Great organization.
It was a pleasant experience to say the least. This was the first non-profit I attended and was completely satisfied. I am grateful and praise and organization such is this one. Thank you Soldiers' Angels!
My husband seen the notice for this on Craigslist. I did not think much about it but I went anyway. What was done for these Military people was so Awesome everything was useful and the volunteers were so friendly and helpful. This is a wonderful organization. Thank-You so much Mr. Rice
Today my wife was on craigslist and saw a listing on free items for veterans, she shared it with me and she said lets sign up, of course i told her it's probably filled, well she tried and not long after that she received an email with confirmation on the time. Times are real hard and this was a blessing, like Christmas in September. The staff was so nice and generous and didn't make us feel like we were begging...Thank you all who attended to us and made us feel so good...Thank you...Stephen Gracia
It is great to receive the unexpected. When I see free one wanders what's up? Well, this was a positive trip. The location was easy to get to. The office and Items were in order and easy to view so I could select what I could use. Even getting there after 2pm the selection was huge. Many thanks to the team that greeted me on September 16. My sister told me about an event they held being advertised on craigslist. I thought I was going to get simple items, which would still be appreciated.Anything helps right now, especially with me going to school and only working part time. I was surprised about the number of items they had and the quality as well. The staff was friendly and went out of their way to be helpfull. Great organization!
My wife was on Craigs List saw a site to get some things for free. We thought we would be getting simple things hand, dish, / laundry soaps. Just small things, but useful things. Well we got up this morning to have our coffee before going. My wife told me our coffee pot wasn't working. Well being on a fixed income those simple items don't seem so simple. I had to tell her it would be Nov. before we could get another. I was still working on getting her some new bake ware. Her's are 2nd., 3rd., / 4th. hand. Well we just got back from the event. We got those simple but useful items, and we got two other things. I watched as my wife opened a box and unwrapped the bake ware. The box was a coffee pot. She didn't say much but it was like watching a kid at Christmas time. We can never thank the people enough.

These guys are a blessing in my life. When things are not going correctly.
Best of people to work with. Great job of helping veterans in need.
They did amazing they were so nice and helpful and were so gracious for the vets we have that served. It was so amazing to see so many people be so kind.
My family and I attended the veterans giveaway on September 26. I was very impressed with the friendliness of the staff. They had many things to choose from during the giveaway. Overall, it was an excellent event. Definitely a great charity and we are thankful for their donations!
I attended the Soldiers' Angels giveaway on September 19, and was more than pleased with the whole event. I had never heard of this organization prior to the listing on Craigslist. At first I was rather hesitent, but once I arrived and was greeted by the cheerful volunteers and saw the variety of items they were providing free of charge to the veteran's, I was awestruck. A great big Thank You goes out to the volunteers and the companies providing the products.
I visited the Soldiers' Angels giveaway on September 19. My wife and I recently moved from San Diego, CA to San Antonio Texas. Unfortunately, several of our boxes did not make it. Thus, we were in the need for kitchen utensils and the like. The giveaway helped my family, and I off-set the cost of replacing the items that were lost in shipment. I cannot thank the volunteers enough who help make Soldiers' Angels what it is today. Additionally, I would like to send out a “BIG” thank you to the vendors who donated the items for veterans.
I visited the Soldiers' Angels give away on September 19. I wasn't sure what to expect, as I've never been to one before. In fact, I had never heard of this organization until yesterday! It was great!
I was greeted and helped by the most enthusiastic and kind volunteers. There was a great variety of useful household merchandise that was on my list and it helped my family.
It was a true blessing to be afforded the opportunity to be a recipient of this giveaway. Great job well done by all involved in this event. "Thank you for your service to our military veterans!" God Bless!

My wife found out about Soldier's Angels giveaway that morning, we signed up and went to the event. Not really knowing what to expect when we got there but was blown away by the genuine caring, kindness and friendliness of all the volunteers. With my wife, mother and 5 kids in our household, everything helps, which is what this organization has done for this military family, helped. We are grateful for the volunteers and the Soldier's Angels organization for assisting us.
I was EXTREMELY impressed with the way my fellow veterans and I were treated at this event. My wife and family are very grateful for the assistance we received. I was treated with dignity and empathy by all of the workers at the event - I wish I could remember all their names but I will mention the names of those that I do recall "Missy" who greeted me at the door and explained the giveaway and ""kay" who was kind enough to listen to my "EMERGENCY FAMILY SITUATION" and promised she would get back with me on Monday. My family and I have never asked or needed assistance of any kind and hopefully this is the first and lst time but I am glad we experienced it with this fine organization.

Visted Soldier's Angels this morning. I found out about the giveaway event from Craigslist and Facebook. I didn't know what to expect when I walked in. My expectations were succeeded I thought it would just be measly gifts but no there was a lot of really good stuff and I also understand they have the limits so everyone has a fair share to get stuff. Not being able to afford a lot of stuff and being on a tight budget this was really awesome got a lot of good stuff. All the volunteers were very helpful and they had a volunteer at each station and they gave everyone bags which helped a lot. Everyone was very polite. For the one premium item all you have to do is write a review which I don't mind doing for a great organization. Thank you also to all the merchandisers who donated. I would recommend them again.
I visited the Soldiers' Angels give away today. I wasn't sure what to expect, as I've never been to one before. In fact, I had never heard of this organization until yesterday! It was fabulous! I was greeted and helped by the most enthusiastic and kind volunteers. There was a great variety of useful household merchandise, as well as some pleasant cool items for the kids. It was a true blessing to be afforded the opportunity to be a recipient of this giveaway. Kudos for a job well done by all involved in this event. And I say to you "Thank you for your service to our military veterans!" God Bless!
Visited Soldier's Angels today and must say, "The experience and staff were absolutely fabulous!" Every volunteer there was extremely helpful and eager to assist me with migrating my way through a variety of well organized items to choose from. Although I was not aware of the opportunity to swing by the Titan building to shop, having witnessed a stream of veterans come in was an indication that their campaign to get the word out had worked. I appreciate the support provided and am grateful for the support Soldier's Angels provides veterans. The most memorable expression of gratitude was when I arrived and left, the volunteers, almost in unison, exclaimed, "Thank you for our Service!" In return, I must say, "Thank you for your Service as well!"

Absolutely fantastic!!! My wife found out about the giveaway event from Facebook and Craigslist. We honestly did not know what to expect. We thought that we would have to go through a bunch of red tape and probably get some measly gift. We were in for a major shocker. From the second we walked in, it took about 30 seconds to verify the military background and then they gave us bags and told us the simple instructions. There was so much to choose from and when we filled up the staff kept saying to get more. We had about all we could carry, plus more. Naturally, money is tight with a 6 month old baby, even the smallest things help out and add up quickly. We probably added up about $300 worth of household goods. I have never been to anything like this and the fact that this organization is willing to get and give away the vast variety of things makes me believe that there are still some great people and even greater organizations out there.
Very well organized, I took my daughter with me and she had plenty of toys to choose from. The staff was extremely helpful and went out of their way to assist you. Plus I was able to get some items for my house that were very useful.
Sergeant Retired Juan A. Santiago Velazquez.. I went to a Soldiers Angels give away event in San Antonio . It was awesome to be greeted with the upmost respect. I gathered few things that will be helpful around the house and my kids. Staff was very helpful too. This organization has always been helpful to a lot of my fellow veterans, and. I would like to say Thank You! for all you do and represent. But once again, Thank You! to all the staff and the organization you'll are wonderful!
the bige give-a-way was fantastic, I received items that I have wanted but could not buy. I must of received over 300.00 worth of items, this was the greatest thing that happend to me since I retired from the Army in 1993. Next time they have this, I want to be notified ahead of time so I can volenteer to help from beginning to end. I could not believe this, it was great. thank you so much, you saved me alot of money. You all are Great......Great........Great....

thank you so much again
This morning I attended a giveaway event in San Antonio sponsored by Soldiers' Angels. The event was much more than I expected. The merchandise was truly useful and the volunteers or employees (don't know which) were very friendly and helpful. I was able to find things for me, my wife and my son. I know that the merchandise was donated but they took the trouble to organize it and the event. It was fun looking for things and it was fun bringing it home. I never felt more appreciated as a veteran than I did this morning. Thank you.
Ms. Ruiz;;;;;Soldiers' Angels is a great organization. The timing for their veteran giveaway event was perfect, I recently lost my job and everything helps so the giveaway was a great help for me and my family. Being a spouse of a veteran, and I'm sure this applies to every spouse veteran, I appreciate all the help we can get and the people that volunteer their time for us. the volunteer were great and friendly. we thank you so much for all that you do.
Soldiers' Angels is a great organization. The timing for their veteran giveaway event was perfect, I recently moved to San Antonio and literally am starting from scratch so the giveaway was a great help for me and my family. Being a veteran, and I'm sure this applies to every veteran, I appreciate all the help we can get and the people that volunteer their time for us.
I am always blown away by how much help you guys give. Always friendly and ready to serve those that have served. Keep on keeping on!
Being able to donate items to the local Washington, DC VA and helping out our local veterans has been wonderful. The new support at the VA is a great way for Soldiers' Angels to spread its wings. Thank you for the opportunity!

I've never seen a more dedicated group of volunteers. They are our heroes' heroes. My experiences with Soldiers' Angels have made me want to get more involved. With my son in the military now, I appreciate all that this great organization does. From serving our deployed to helping our veterans, the opportunities of serving our nation's heroes are endless.
I have been donating to Soldiers' Angels now for about 8 years and love knowing that my donations are going directly towards supporting our troops, wounded, veterans, and our military families. I also enjoy receiving mail updates from SA, telling me how my donations are being used to aide our heroes.

Soldiers' Angels is a wonderful organization! I joined my freshman year of college - almost 8 years ago. It's been a wonderful experience, from adopting my first soldier, to doing fundraisers and to now volunteering as the DC Metro Service Area Manager - assisting our local volunteers and helping out at the various military medical centers and VAs while still supporting our deployed. Being able to assist our deployed troops, veterans, wounded and ill warriors and their families - ALL through the same organization - is truly an honor and privilege. I'm excited to see and experience the growth of Soldiers' Angels and being able to touch the lives of more of our Nation's Heroes.
Of all the things I have volunteered for, this is the one that brings aALPS smile to my heart and the one that I have seen make a real difference. I have been a Soldiers' Angel since 2008. I have had several great Colorado companies embrace supporting the efforts of supporting our men and women in uniform. and in 2011, I was one of the lucky few who got to join my Master Chief sister aboard the USS John C. Stennis for a Tiger Cruise from Hawaii to San Diego. While aboard, the Sailors all told me what a difference SA had made to their deployment. And while there I actually saw numerous SA packages come in and the first hand look on their faces is priceless. During my time I have kept in contact with several of my soldiers even after they have retired. This organization makes a huge difference in the lives of those that protect our FREEDOM! Love this group and am so proud to tell others about what they do. Great Americans.
It's such a great program. I'm happy to be a part of something that truly does matter in a person's every day life! !
Good morning Soldiers Angles staff, My names Raleigh Walker III MSG (ret). It was my greatest pleasure, back in 07-08 when I was deployed to Iraq, to be the contact person for Soldiers Angels. The back packs that were sent to my CSH through me were the best welcome packs that the wounded soldiers would receive once they entered our doors. I thanks you for you unbroken devotion and caring for our wounded soldiers. Keep the faith and courage alive for are past, present, and future deployed and wounded service men and women. Again ThanksRaleigh Walker , MSG(Ret)
I'm a soldier who was adopted last year while in Afghanistan. My angel consistently stayed in contact with me and was always willing to stop and talk. She sent goodies that I couldn't buy there and we still keep close contact. I highly recommend soldier's angels to any deployed soldier. It's a great organization.
I am a memeber of Soldier's Angels and have been for some time now. I have only participated in the Adopt A Soldier program because of time constraints which limits my joining any of the others. I live on a fixed income and ususally found it quite easy to meet the terms of that program (though some programs are just the cost of a postage stamp). I have written over 6 soldiers and THANK GOD they have all come home. I have had the honor of meeting one of them as well as his wife and son. He has told me on more than one occassion how grateful he was and how much it meant for him to get the letters and the few little things I could afford to send. Here I was, thinking I was helping them and all the while my reward was how it made me feel. I looked forward to every Sunday (that is when I wrote them). I would go to the park and just write about my week and what all I was seeing go on at the park, the scenery and sounds. I would actually get depressed if I missed a Sunday. It is such a gratifying position, to have the privilege of helping my beloved military, our sons and daughters. Kim T. Port Arthur TX
I joined Soldier's Angels almost two years ago and I am on many teams now. I first joined the Letter Writing Team and the CardsPlus Team because I wanted to give back to the military community that I grew up in. I wanted to write to soldiers who needed to get mail to boost their morale overseas. It was great because I was able to write as many cards/letters as I wanted and I had time for. I also joined the Adopt-A-Family team to help make Christmas a special time for a military family by helping with a child's Christmas wish. If you are looking for a Great NonProfit- then this is IT!
I joined SA a few months back but had never joined a team. I am now joining Angel Bakers so my daughter and I can team up and bake for the troops. She loves to make brownies and cookies, so we think this will be great fun for the two of us. Thank you for offering us this opportunity.
Soldiers' Angels is an amazing organization. Late last year they almost went out of business but it has been revived with new leadership. Now they are here to stay and slowly building their program services. As a donor I'm thrilled with the structure the new leaders are putting in place.
I have been a volunteer w/ SA for over 7 years. With the takeover I don't recognize this organization anymore. They seem to be financially driven as opposed to service driven.
I've been a Soldier's Angel for about six years now. I'm fortunate enough to still be in contact with three of the soldiers since they've come back home. What great people they are!
It's a great experience for me to send goodies and letters from home to hopefully brighten their day just a little bit!
I hope to continue to adopt and support the troups overseas.
I have been a volunteer with Soldiers' Angels for about 5 years, first on the card and letter-writing committee and later helping some at the warehouse when I moved to San Antonio. I have at this time also adopted 4 deployed soldiers and am preparing to adopt another as my current adoptee returns from his deployment. The satisfaction I get from helping our soldiers who do so much for us is a reward in itself, but also working with the amazing people who run this organization is a bonus! I love being an Angel!
I have been adopted by an Angel from this organization during my deployment to Afghanistan.
I have received lots of letters and cards from Angel's throughout the U.S., but the Angel I have had the most contact with is the one who adopted me. She has been absolutely fantastic. She constantly encourages me when i'm having a rough time. She has sent me several things that I needed from the states that I couldn't get ahold of here.
And to be perfectly honest, My Soldier's Angel spoils me. She has sent me lots of goodies that pass the time quicker.
To anyone considering joining this organization: You have no idea how much it means to be adopted. The soldier's you adopt will appreciate you beyond words. Many soldiers don't receive a lot of mail from home. I am very, very close to my family but they rarely send mail none the less. You can be that reminder that we aren't forgotten. This feels like a forgotten war, and it's nice to know someone still cares about what we are doing here and what it costs.
To Soldier's considering asking for adoption: Do It. If you are adopted by an Angel you will have an extra source of motivation. If you are SPECIFIC in your adoption biography you will be adopted by someone with similar interests. I willingly admit to being a nerd. My SA noticed that and adopted me. We talk all the time about random nerdy things. It's awesome.
I forsee my Soldier's Angel and I being lifelong friends. I highly encourage Volunteers and Soldiers to give this program a try.
Two Thumbs Up/30 Rds OUT/5 STARS/A+
I was introduced to this phenomenal organization when I was looking to adopt a US soldier serving in Afghanistan; I have adopted 4 soldiers since then. There are soldiers that have made such an impact on me, personally, we intend to stay in contact after their deployments are complete. I have been able to write to many soldiers through Soldiers' Angels' various teams, and my Girl Scout troops have written many cards as well. The support we volunteers receive from the Team and Group Leaders help us support our remarkable soldiers. I am able to support our country's military service personnel, to assure our soldiers know they are thought about every day by a grateful nation. There's nothing like being an Angel!
Soldiers' Angels is a great organization! I volunteer for them by transporting products for them to and from VA's and Soldiers' Angels volunteers. They really do great work! When I drop items off to the VA they are so happy to have them to serve our veterans.
I have been with Soldiers' Angels since 2006 and have held a variety of positions throughout the organization in that time. What began as a way to give back to others while my husband was Active Duty has by far become the most rewarding choice I have ever made. The hands on nature of the organization and the sense of family and belonging that develops cannot be spoken enough.
As with everything changes occur and yet I've seen some of the most steadfast, loyal people I've ever had the pleasure to mentor and work with.

I first joined Soldiers' Angels in Dec. of 2006 while my husband was serving on active duty. I wanted a way to give back to those like my husband who serve, and to find ways to support those around me who were going thru a deployment around me even though I was not.
What started out as something small has now gotten me thru some of the hardest times of my life. Soldiers' Angels not only supports those serving and their families but their volunteers as well. We all support one another. I have made many amazing bonds and friendships to last a lifetime and wouldn't change a single thing.
Review from Guidestar
I have been disappointed since the new administration took over. It seems so much more impersonal now. When Cindy Glenn was in charge of emailing out soldiers as my group leader it was awesome. I have been doing this 6 years, I got my assignment each month I baked and mailed my package. Back in November everything changed. I was told they had disbanded the program. Then in a month we were told just the rules had changed. We had to rejoin the organization pay money to bake, and send a form in saying who we had baked for and what we had sent. Cindy said I was on a new team not hers anymore
When I asked to stay on her team I got a couple more soldier assignment, but I almost had to beg for them. I know it was not Cindy's fault I guess I was not on her list, but I never got assignments from the other leader either. Finally in May I gave up. I miss baking and feel bad each month, but I have been lost in the crack somehow. Pull me back up on solid ground and I will start participating again.

Of the many veterans groups I've belonged to Soldiers' Angels is by far the most rewarding! I've worked with their Georgia group for several years now and the level of organization, productivity, and camaraderie among the volunteers is unmatched. I love that Soldiers' Angels has been able to transition so well with the times and redirect their efforts towards the veterans coming home and in the hospitals. I'm also glad to see their leadership and donation policies become more structured in recent months, but am sorry to hear that so many of their older members refused to see the merits of this change and resorted to slandering the org's efforts to rein in the undisciplined practices of the very members that are doing the complaining. Regardless, I see Soldiers' Angels having a very bright future and hope to volunteer with them for as long as I'm able!
I have been a volunteer with Soldiers Angels for 3 or 4 years. I love what the organization stands for, and the sense of joy I feel while doing my part (sending letters, postcards, packages, etc.) to brighten the lives of our brethren and sisters overseas who sacrifice so much for us.
I learned about Soldiers' Angels through my older sister. For several years she had sponsored 4 soldiers, consistently sending them encouragement through packages, ecards and letters. When I got older I wanted to also shoe my appreciation for our service men and women and began sponsoring, as well as send weekly letters to various soldiers. I have immensely enjoyed the opportunity to reach out and say thank you for the sacrifice so many have given for our nation.
In just a month of being a Soldier's Angel, I have sent over 100 cards and letters as part of the Cards Plus Team. I am already amazed and encouraged by fellow Angels. With as little as one letter a month, you can send some appreciation to someone in desperate need of uplifting words. Or you can choose to do more...whatever fits your lifestyle, schedule, budget, etc. I have days where I write for hours, and then there are times where several days or a week go by because I get busy. You can send cards/letters/packages to current service members both deployed and at home, to veterans celebrating a milestone, to family grieving the loss of a veteran, or to someone recovering from war injuries. We also support those who are caregivers for veterans. I seriously can't get enough of this organization!
Soldier's Angels is an awesome organization. I am a teacher and I joined because I wanted my students and I to write letters. Since then we have written over 1500 letters and sent over 20 care packages. It has been so rewarding helping these men and women who volunteer their time and sacrifice their lives for our freedom. I am proud to be a part of it.
I am a group leader for the Ladies of Liberty (LOL) and I love it. I write letters, send packages, work from a TLC list and just send special support. I receive many letters back and some packages myself. The warmth I feel from these heroes can not be put into words. I was even invited to a wedding when my soldier returned home. I could not go as the wedding was in Maryland and I live in CA, but I could just see the look on the soldiers face if I did. They always say we make their day, "Oh No" they make my day.
I can't imagine leaving your family and putting their life on the line as they do. They are all "True Heroes"
My unit was deployed to Afghanistan last year and the support that we received from SA- Virginia was phenomenal. For most of my team, this was our very first deployment so when we started receiving packages and letters from complete strangers, it really warmed our hearts. Ours was a hard deployment, we lost three members, but the constant support and the personalized detail that was put in reaching out to each member of my team really showed us that we were not alone in our grief. We are forever grateful and could not have made it through to the end of our mission without the help of this incredible group of people. A very grateful Soldier. Thanks
I found Soldiers' Angels from an ad that looked so well planned and organized that I had to investigate. Although I am still a newbie, I am proud to be affiliated with them, because of their commitment to their core beliefs - that the soldier's who request to be supported receive the support. It is not a "when I think about it, or when I find time to write a letter" sort of organization, it requires accountability. It involves heart, desire and response - and I love that. Being a military wife (retired, USAF), and the mother-in-law of a USAF airman, I feel connected to others in a way I could not otherwise. If more knew of the sacrifices our military men and women make, every one of them would be signing up to support the work Soldiers' Angels do!
I've assited with the Soldiers Angels for about six months now. After searching for a good organization to work with for so many years I'm so happy I found the Soldiers Angels organization to work with! I have worked with a number of organizations in the past and this one truely is the best! The Soldiers Angels has several options for how you can volunteer to help soldiers, vets and their families. This is a great way for teenagers to earn volunteer credit for high school as well. My teenager helps collect dontacted items, while my toddlers help make handmade cards to send to the deployed troops. Soldiers Angels is very well managed and organized, and the items truely do get sent to the troops. This isn't a scam the way some other organizations are. I'm blessed to have the chance to work with the Soldiers Angels and look forward to many more years with the organization.
I've volunteered with Soldiers' Angels for so many years I've lost count...and have loved every minute of it!!! Amazing organization! It's very well run...and I love the fact how supportive and hard working all the volunteers are. They have a large variety of teams that were created to support the troops and their families in different ways...which in turn, gives volunteers a lot of variety in being able to decide the best way for them to support. Looking to support a deployed soldier? They have an adoption program! Love to bake? They have a team for you! Love to write letter? They have a team for you! Love to sew? They've got a team for you! Love buying baby shower gifts? They have a team for you! And that's only a few...there are many, many more options!!!
I love this organization!!!!! I have been a member for over five years and it is amazing all the troops Soldier's Angels helps!!! Blessed to be a part of such a wonderful thing.
I've belong to this wonderful organization for years now and can say that is one the most rewarding organization for honoring our soldiers (active and veteran) overseas and at home.
I love that I can write letters, send postcards to soldiers for encouragement, birthdays and just to say "thinking of you".
Having my father and both grandfathers, several generations of cousins in the service I know how important it is.
I have only been an Soldiers Angel for a couple of years now....It is the best feeling in the world ..As I have had many members of my family in the service (still do) I know how important it is to let them know that they are loved and appreciated. When my son was in the Army he use to write and tell me about some of his buddys that did not get any mail...So I would always pack extra for him to share...But it is not like getting your own letter/card/package.....I am proud to be a part of this wonderful group. If I can make someone smile and look forward to something "happy" then I have done my job...
Vivian from California
I have been a volunteer with this group for a few years and have had the honor to "meet" service men and women of all branches of the military. I have adopted many soldiers as well as being parts of teams where we write letters or send cards. This organization tries to make sure that every deployed member gets their name called at mail call when they are away from loved ones.
Soldiers' Angels. What can I say other than I am proud to be a part of such an organization. In 2004, I found them on the internet and have been active in adopting and Letter Writing ever since. Even when things were very tough financially, I could always write a letter. And truth be told, in those hard times, writing those letters helped me focus my priorities. No matter what I was going through here, they are going through much more and they needed to know that they were remembered.
Soldiers Angels has been a wonderful addition to my life. I have made so many friends with soldiers and other volunteers who feel the same about our wonderful military as I do. It's been so easy to get involved, and the leaders encourage everyone to do what they can, no matter how large or small. It all matters to our troops. I'm thankful to be involved with this organization!
I have worked with SA in conjunction with my work for AMVETS Auxilliary 118. They are a great organization whic provides many opportunities to help our veterans overseas at Christmas time, as well as those vets returning home. Kudos to Diane Moore and her Angels in Douglasville, GA!!
I have been with SA for over 6 years and i enjoy sending all our men/women letters and packages out...Some i have heard from some not but its never expected as long as they know they are being supported from home while they are gone doing their job..Being part of this organization was the best thing i have ever done in my life and just knowing I am putting a smile on someone face makes it all worth sending anything to them..This is the best organizations i have been part of the others dont do as much for our troops so this is my #1 and now only Organization im with for our troops...Keep up the great work you do for our men/women overseas SA !!
Soldiers Angels WOW is the first word that comes to mind. I found their name in a cooking magazine about 4 years ago and I signed right up. This is truly an organization that not only cares about the troops but us the volunteers. They have opened my heart to so much. The people behind Soldiers Angels that run it are the most AMAZING group of people. I haven't found an organization that cares and supports our troops as much as Soldiers Angels. And I can't thank them enough for really changing my life.
I have been a member of SA for over two years and everyday its a blessing. I actually ran across the program by accident. Being able to give back even a little to the soldiers that give so much, is an amazing opportunity. The members of the program are awesome and always willing to help out others in the program. SA is just AMAZING!
I appreciate being able to be a part of an organization that helps our soldiers overseas. I have been a member for many years and it was through my participation that I made contact with a chaplain in Afghanistan that helped my son find a home for his 649 care packages that he sent as his Eagle Scout project. I am humbled by the letters and e-mails that I receive back from our brave men and women. This experience has brought as much to me as I hope to bring to the soldiers.
I was Americanism Chair for the Elks Lodge 7 years ago and began to search for a way to help our Veterans and Enlisted men and woman and their families. I found Soldiers' Angels and their mission fit the Elks mission to never forget a Veteran but to also remember and assist the enlisted and their families as they give so much for our freedom. I adopted a soldier and have adopted many more in the last 8 years since the first one. It has been gratifying for me to try to give something to those that do so much for us. As a part of what we do, as a Soldiers' Angel, we have provided many food baskets at Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas to our local veterans and enlisted families locally. Their gratitude is overwhelming. I've also been involved in the Fisher House in Seattle as well as sending many packages to our troops.
I have a pillowcase ministry and was most delighted to find an address for the armed forces. I have sent two packages with about 50 pillowcases, that are patriotically themed, and am about three days away from sending a third.
Before I became a Soldiers' Angel volunteer I researched various organizations that support our troops. I chose Soldiers' Angels because it offered so many different ways to serve and because it tries to keep its operating costs low so that donations go where they are supposed to. I have been a volunteer for about five years and I continue to be impressed with the wonderful work its members do in our community, at the VA and Fisher Houses, and overseas. I live in Washington state, and our coordinator Julie is one of the most amazing and committed people I have ever met. She drives to so many facilities and functions I'm surprised her vehicle hasn't expired of exhaustion! This dedication inspired my husband and sons to volunteer as well.
I have seen the benefit of Soldiers' Angels. A family whose son was injured in Afghanistan has told us about how the volunteers in Germany helped them to get settled and assisted them and their son during his recovery. Every community has service members, and Soldiers' Angels sponsors local events which serve our local soldiers and veterans. It helps to be able to actually see the good your volunteer organization does!
I encourage anyone who is looking for a volunteer opportunity to check out Soldiers' Angels!
There are probably hundreds of groups supporting our brave Warriors afar and here at home, but when I found Soldiers' Angels in 2005, I knew it was the place for anyone who felt it their heart that they could make a difference. It was the place for me, and I remain dedicated to our Hero's through Soldiers' Angels, to this day.
It was in 2005 that I read a story in our neighborhood newsletter that was written by a Soldier who had redeployed. He spoke of the obvious increase in the morale of the troops that were deployed by his side, and how receiving and sharing the items he received in the goody box his mom sent to him, helped him through some pretty tough times. My heart sank when he mentioned that there were so many troops that did not receive care packages or communication from the folks back home. That was it.....I signed-up to be an angel.
I support Soldiers' Angels efforts with my heart and soul. They have come-up with, or shall I say re-mastered, a masterpiece! Every step is orchestrated to perfection. The "angel" protocol is clear, which makes it easy to volunteer as I have, for one or many of the teams (Adoption Team, Letter Writing Team, Card Plus Team, WTLC Team..just to name a few) created to help our sentinel's here at home and afar. It is very clear that all members of Soldiers' Angels hold the privacy of anyone who signs-up for a little help from an angel, in high regard. The system is built with that in mind. None of us want to be de-winged, so it's easy to follow the rules.
Each teams area Team Leader encourages, and offers helpful tips, which creates an atmosphere of a welcomed accountability. I embrace any step and procedure that will help us make the lives of those serving, and those who have returned home, a bit easier. My Team Leaders are responsive to my requests and to my concerns, which further encourages my involvement and loyalty.
I can't say enough about the ease in which I can quickly order a quick first-time package for someone I've adopted, through the online Angels' Store. The number of items in the store is evolving month to month from where it was a few months ago, and has always offered at the very least, something I can send right away to let the recipient know how important they are to us.
Lastly, the lasting friendships, letters I've received, and emails that continue, from some of the brave Warriors I've adopted or sent letters to over the years, encourages me to continue to do what I set out to do: to make a difference in the lives of the brave men and women who selflessly defended and continue to defend the freedom I enjoy each minute of each day. And to let each one that is introduced to my life, know that they should never doubt their importance.
Thank you Soldiers' Angel, for being the tool to me being able to help :o)
I started volunteering for Soldiers' Angels this year and I must say that this is a fantastic organization and I am happy to encourage others to volunteer and get involved, too. Everyone is so friendly and you can feel the love radiating off the staff; love for both their jobs and for the service members they aid. If you're looking to support the military either through donations or volunteering, Soldiers' Angels is the organization you need to get involved with!
My young daughter and I have been Soldier's Angels since about 2009 and have primarily been part of the TLC portion, in which we make homemade cards, letters and send words of encouragement to all branches of service who are in need! We personally have made and sent literally hundreds of cards all over the world! We also have been the personal Soldier's Angel to a specific female soldier, in which we sent personal letters, and boxes of anything she needed while she was deployed in Afghanistan...this nonprofit organization has been one of the most fulfilling commitments our family has had the opportunity to be a part of! We joined as members when my husband was actually also an active duty Marine, and thus we have been blessed to see the benefits of this organization, we have had several friends (fellow Marines my husband knew and worked with) who have been blessed by their generosity! Sometimes just a small bit of love, encouragement, support and/or appreciation makes all the difference to a lonely, homesick, PTSD affected, or needy service member!
I have been a HAPPY member / volunteer of Soldiers' Angels since 2004.
First my family & I started out by adopting deployed troops and then in 2007, I was blessed and honored to be a part of the Soldiers' Angels Veterans Support Team and volunteer for the PTSD Recovery Program at the Menlo Park Veterans Hospital (it's part of the Palo Alto VA)
Since 2007, Soldiers' Angels has supported our Team's work with the PTSD Program, which serves countless Vets...and that includes Vietnam Vets, Gulf War Vets and Troops returning from Iraq & Afghanistan.. (and the numbers are growing every day!)
Soldiers' Angels have supported the PTSD program with multiple Big Screen TV's & Wii & Game Boy Systems, so the Vets who are living on-campus during their 3-4 month program can INTERACT with each other while playing Sports Games, instead of isolating themselves.
Over the last seven years, Soldiers' Angels has sent ENDLESS supplies of backpacks, socks, boxers, undershirts, tons & tons of sorely needed toiletries, duffle bags, beanies, hand-made quilts, pajamas, hand-made pillow cases, shower sandals, PTSD Workbooks, puzzle books etc to our Veterans.
Also, Soldiers' Angels sends us monthly financial donations to finance and feed 55-60 folks at our bi-monthly Dinner events that we hold every month! These events are a huge morale-booster for our PTSD Vets...plus it's a refreshing change from the Chow Hall grub and it's a great time to celebrate monthly birthdays with gift bags and also with games & prizes that always puts a huge smile on their faces.
When we hold our bi-monthly events at the Menlo Park VA, it is common for a Veteran to approach me and tell me how Soldiers' Angels had sent his unit or base tons of much-needed & morale-boosting care-packages!
Also, so many have told me with tears in their eyes, that a member of Soldiers' Angels "adopted" them individually and sent them care-packages throughout their entire deployment.
I am so blessed and proud to be a small part of Soldiers' Angels. I am so thankful for the compassion and generosity that Soldiers' Angels shows our Military men and women who have given and sacrificed so much to ensure our Freedom!
I am fully and thankfully aware that there are many wonderful Patriotic Organizations that support our Troops & Veterans, but I have to say that in my humble opinion, Soldiers' Angels ranks very high on the list.
Thank you Soldiers' Angels for the amazing support and love that you provide for our precious men & women of the U.S Military!
Thanks to Soldiers' Angels I have been able to volunteer alongside a fabulous group of people. Everyone that I have had the pleasure of working with has such a generous giving spirit. Also, the heroes we have been able to serve deserve more than I could ever give.
First of all I would want to thank Soldiers Angel for providing the love and support while I was out on deployment . You guys don't know how grateful I am for the support not just to me but for my family. This organization it truley the best.
I have had many experiences volunteering with Soldiers' Angels. I have seen first hand the difference they make in the lives of those they serve. I have not met one volunteer or staff member who doesn't absolutely live what they do and who they serve. They truly give from the heart. I plan on volunteering and donating for years to come. They make volunteers feel extremely welcomed and an integral part of the team.
What a wonderful organization. Being the son of WWII veteran it is my honor to support such a life affirming organization. The good work and hands on approach to making a difference in the lives of veterans is absolutely incredible! Keep on doing the great things you do!
Our VA Medical Center in Canandaigua, NY just received a VERY generous donation of premium ground coffee that has been disbursed to a variety of inpatient and outpatient programs. This will assist a HUGE number of Veterans that are participating in recreational programs, groups and a variety of therapy. Some of the programs directly benefiting include our Vet Center, Recreation, Homeless Program, Chaplain Service, Veterans Transition and Recovery Center, Adult Day Health Care and PTSD.
We are so grateful for this amazing and generous donation!
My experience and time with Soldiers' Angels has been rewarding beyond measure. This wonderful non profit serves veterans of all eras equally. They work tirelessly at their mission trying to make the lives of service members, veterans, and family members better in any way they can. They have many teams and programs to accomplish this task. They value their volunteers and offer many ways to get involved. They are a remarkable group of people who have great passion for what they do!
I joined Soldiers Angels several years ago when I saw an interview on the news. The group has done some pretty amazing things and I am so impressed that this was all started by one loving mom. The point of the group is fully expressed in their motto "May no soldier go unloved". This group allows me to do something for the men and women that put their lives on the line so that I can be free and raise my kids in a free nation. Writing letters or sending care packages doesn't seem like much in the grand scheme of things however those soldiers that don't get their names called regularly at mail time experience the difference and the benefits of the volunteers with this group. Every time I reached out to someone within the organization they got back to me very quickly and were willing to take the time to provide me with the answers and the help I was looking for. This is truly a great organization and I feel blessed to be apart of it.

I've been with Soldier's Angels for nearly two years now and I love being part of this remarkable group! The volunteers and administrators are exceptional and the friendly, interactive and supportive environment and network makes this already rewarding endeavor even more so. You feel as if you are truly part of something special (and we ARE!)
I've received letters and notes from service members that I've supported that have left me in tears. Knowing my efforts - even seemingly so small - have had such an impact on those I write to and support is rewarding beyond measure.
JOIN SOLDIER'S ANGELS and embark on one of the most fulfilling journeys of your life.

I am the Western PA Chapter Captain for a veterans non profit group called Team Red, White and Blue. I have the honor of working with Soldiers Angels and some of the volunteers. Care, contact and compassion from home is critical to our military. I am so thankful for the dedicated members of Soldiers Angels! They are amazing.
On my second deployment to Iraq I received a Soldier's Angel. The mail and care packages from my Angel were a great boost in morale. It means so much to get a personal note/ package from someone who cares. I saw many soldiers benefit from the love that was delivered by our Angels. This organization is making a big difference in soldiers' lives. Thank you!!!!
I recently helped with a function with the Soldier's Angels organization & was very pleased at how well run the organization & function was handled. Soldier's Angels is truly thinking & providing for the veterans, deployed troops, wounded warriors & their families. Hats off to this organization for all the good work that they are doing. I really never dealt with an organization such as this & I am very impressed with the professionalism & passion of their functions & for looking out for our beloved veterans.
Thank you Soldier's Angels!
We were recently introduced to Soldier's Angels & feel that it is such a great organization helping our veterans, wounded warriors and their families. They are compassionate about their work & plan on what will help benefit the military. The staff has planned well for the functions we have been to and cannot say enough to thank them for providing their support!
I work with a woman who is a passionate supporter of Soldiers' Angels Sewing Team. This organization has rekindled a passion to serve those who serve for our freedoms because, no matter your skill you can help!
Soldiers' Angels is a very well ran organization! They truly are passionate and loving people who take care of Veterans by spreading Love and Hope far and wide! Their extensive network of volunteers and contributors helped send me much needed supplies while was on tour in Afghanistan and for that i am forever grateful.
Soldiers' Angels is a great organization that has gone above and beyond to support our military organization. A million thanks to all they have done to support our Soldiers.
Working with Soldiers' Angels was a delight. Over the years I attended a few of their charity events and wrote St. Patrick's Day cards to our deployed troops. It was an honor to work with such a well round organization that cares deeply about the work that they do.
Soldiers' Angels is so supportive of our deployed troops, veterans and wounded. Over the years I've participated in fundraisers, care packaging parties and making cards for our Heroes. I've enjoyed the experience very much and also working with Jacqueline Stein, the DC Metro Service Area Manager. She is extremely organized and great to work with.
I am the Commander of a Medical Logistics Company on Fort Hood, Texas and appreciate all the support from Soldiers Angels. They are compasionate for military service members and thank them for all their support.
-CPT Davis
The Soldiers Angels organization is outstanding. Their goal and mission is so important to our soldiers, their families, and our whole country. The staff are dedicated and do an excellent job.
HI my name is Lisa Daniel. I started working with Soldiers' Angels in 2008. I have volunteered through other veterans organzations over the years, but none were as fulfilling as the Soldiers' Angels. You know just where your hard work goes to. I have enjoyed doing the Christmas Stockings for the Soliders over seas at Christmas. it has been a wonderful exprience. We do still have a group within the national originaztion that will do stockings for the troops still over seas.
I am very excited where our program is going now by turning our attentions to our VA Hospitals, by making up hygine kits for our patients at the hospital.
But one of the new programs I am most excited about is the homeless veterans who just need a meal sometimes. This has been so rewarding. I spend about 20.00 every other week to get the most healthful snacks we can give them that do not have to be heated up. Examples tuna or chicken to go, trail mix, granola bars, cereal bars, fruit cups, peanuts. I just love this great group of people. We need all the help we can get. I volunteer in Dougalsville, GA. I can't think of a better way to spend my time. LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!
My name is Joe Bodin and I began volunteering with Soldiers' Angels in 2006 at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D. C. Have always thought very honored to be part of such a wonderful organization where many of the Wounded, Injured, ill Military & Veterans & their Families we support have been able to build 1 on 1 type long lasting friendships. We have support them for the long haul from the transfer from Germany or if they came to Walter Reed from a stateside location until they are back home after their inpatient & outpatient recovery plus have kept in touch even after they are back home. The Active Duty Military, Reserve Duty Military, Veterans & their Families we have supported have always been very appreciative of the support. At the same time our Team was also supporting at National Military Medical Center in Bethesda Maryland with monthly inpatient lunches. In 2011 after the August BRAC (Defense Base Closure and
Realignment Commission) we migrated all support to the merged Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda Maryland. The support includes all inpatients and their families and all outpatients and their families even NATO Troops that come to Walter Reed for medical needs. Inpatient Ward Support spans from Pediatrics, Telemetry, Wounded, Injured, ill, Oncology, Maternity, TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) and PTSD. Very honored to be keeping this support going thru the Soldiers Angels DC Metro Team led by wonderful Service Area Manager Jacqueline Stein :)
I recently got back to soldiers angels. I love the fact that we can help soldiers that are deployed not feel so lonely and that I also support all of them for their sacrifices. Feel so honored to belong to this organization.
I just recently join this organization and I am so thankfull that I was given the opportunity to do so as it has been a great adition and source to support our great military during employment or being stateside/home. I can't think of many great ways as such to thank our service members of today and our past for their sacrifies towards our great nation and our families. It seems so little yet i have found out it such a great impact on them and their own surroundings.
I recommend Soldier's angel to my family as wella s my friends and they started joining too.
Very great organization for an even better cause!!
Soldiers' Angels has done amazing work in the veteran community. I am delighted that my daughter told me about this wonderful organization!
I have been a Verified Angel for almost two years. I absolutely LOVE supporting our military, and all of the people here have that same goal. The team leaders are most helpful and friendly! I have made many new friends both within the organization, and with the Soldiers I have supported. :)
I have been a member for Soldiers' Angels since 2009. I enjoy having fundraisers on their behalf. I have spent many hours boxing items for the deployed men and women and have adopted 3 soldiers. It is such a wonderful organization spanning all 50 states. If you run into a veteran or active member on leave and mention Soldiers Angels - they know us!! They remember getting packages from us. It is a great feeling to know you can help make their lives better each day for what they do to keep us safe.

I have been a member of Soldiers' Angels for the past 8 years and have met the most caring and dedicated volunteers during this time. Soldiers’ Angels has given me the opportunity not only to support our deployed military but also veterans in need of assistance in my community. Our local team has worked with the VA for the past five years assisting homeless and at risk veterans and visiting two residential hospital units we have taken under our wings. It has been a truly rewarding and humbling experience.
First I want to thank all of you out there that take part in this organization. I am a service member serving my second deployment. My first tour I found out about SA through a battle buddy of mine. So when I got the opportunity to get on the internet I signed up. With in a couple of weeks I was receiving letters and care packages. This program is such a moral boost for all of us service members. Its so nice knowing that we are thought about and have supporter back home thinking about us.
Mail and e-mails are a huge moral booster when you are away from home. This program helped me through rough times, knowing I am being thought about and someone took the time to write an email, letter or put together and care package for me. Words can't described how much us service members appreciate all of you that support us. getting your name called that you have mail, or opening your email and seeing someone out there is thinking about you does wonders for you when you are away from home.
I have been supporting Soldiers Angels since 2007 and love Soldiers Angels. Not only do I support Soldiers Angels personally, I also organize scrapbooking events to raise money to donate as well. Money has been donated for postage for care packages, phone cards, and overall donations to help support our soldiers. Our group has also adopted several soldiers over the years and love the interaction with our adopted soldiers. Soldiers Angels has alot of awesome programs available for us to volunteer with and alot of resources for our deployed soldiers as well as wounded warriors. I am proud to support our soldiers through Soldiers Angels and it's great to have such a wonderful organization that really cares about our soldiers and their needs while serving our country.
I have been a member of Soldiers' Angels since 2009. I love it. I send out cards and letters every month and when times are better I adopt soldiers. I love being able to send love to those fighting for my right to do just that. It's touching when you get a return letter or merely a "thank you" through email from a soldier. I had one soldier send me a "thank from pulling me back from the edge" card. He had been in combat and was forced to kill a child that was trained to kill him. He said that for him it was heartbreaking because no matter how he looked at it, it was still a child and he couldn't imagine having to go through that again. He didn't directly say he was planning on ending it but he did say that it was getting harder and harder to cope with it and knowing that there were people out there telling him he did the right thing was extremely touching. We kept in touch until he was home. He met a girl who accepted everything he went through and they were married. Having a part in that made this whole situation worth it. I love this organization and I'm glad it's here to put us civilians in touch with the heroes.
Soldiers Angels was there for me during and after my time at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. The nicest Angel came into my life while I was surrounded by misery. Being wounded and surrounded by other wounded soldiers begins to wear on your being. My Angel cared enough to listen and hear what I was saying. She, on her own time, would take me on short field trips, in the DC area, to places like Target. It gave me the chance to shop in a normal setting for those items I couldn't get at the hospital. Not to mention I was able to see the real world. She kept up with me, which was a God send. Even after being seriously wounded the Army expects you to soldier up. Which is understandable to a degree. My Angel showed me the world outside of the hospital. She genuinely cared about how I felt. She was a true blessing. It didn't end there. After eventually coming home, the Soldiers Angels were still there. All of which are amazing people. They continued to keep up with me for years now. The amazing thing is, I'm not the only wounded soldier they do this for. I know many others from all over the United States that have their own Angels. Being Combat Wounded I'm Alumni of other veteran non profit organizations, however non of them give the one on one caring that Soldiers Angels does. I love my Angels. They've made a huge difference in my life, for the better. Thank you Soldiers Angels
I have been helping with SA for over 3 years. I have stuck with them through all the changes - even going through many team leaders (which is annoying and very sad). But their seems to be some issues with who leads what and power trips that need to be ironed out still! But I have a few leaders that I really like and love to work with that keep me working with and for them! I love helping with 2 of the teams they offer and choosing how much I do each month!!
I will say I dislike doing the paper work for the boxes - but I do understand why we have to. (Still dont make it fun! LOL.) And I dislike that the require a monthly payment - It is hard to suggest them now because many do not want to give out their credit card online. Heck, I don't like mine being out there, but I saw no other way to keep on helping without giving it to them....
I also was hurt and angered when I was rejected to be able to post about wanting to do something for the Afghan Soldiers (that are fighting right along side of our American troops). SA only does for AMERICAN troops. BUT do we realize that their is so many other countries on the same bases as we are, doing the same things we are doing, fighting and giving so we all can be safe and free? Why not love on them too!?
BUT for one perk, is when I brought an issue that I felt was dire to them that I felt could help the safety of their helpers and the mental health of our military.. They were right on talking about it and hearing me out and making a choice for the better of everyone! This was a perk, and a star for me!
I will continue to help with SA for one reason.... OUR TROOPS!! Because of the fact that we can love on the Troops that deserve out love and attention!!
I was fortunate enough to be able to help Soldiers' Angels this past week at the San Antonio VA. We stocked the break rooms with snacks, passed out homemade blankets to patients, and jackets as well! It was a great experience! I love what they do for vets of all generations. I wanted to cry after visiting one particular patient.
I was an active volunteer for over 7 years. I adopted soldiers sending month packages directly overseas, wrote weekly letters and made donations to the organization.
The past year the group asked for manatory reports on when you wrote and then charged a monthly fee. You had to keep your credit card on file, couldn't pay a yearly fee.
Didn't matter how much you donated in the past.
At that point I became inactive in their system.
It unfortunate how they handled it.
I know support tell them thanks and until they all come home.
I love this organization. You can do as much or as little as you want. They have multiple teams you can join along with adopting a deployed soldier. Being able to help one of our heroes by sending letters and packages is one of the highlights and they are always so grateful, it is truly humbling. If you can't afford to send boxes and letters all the time, they have teams where you can select a name of someone who just signed up and send them a letter (or a package). So you truly control how involved you get.
Soldier's Angels is a great non profit organization. It takes a lot of want to to do what they do. It takes very special people to keep up with all they do. They care through and through.
All talents are welcome at Soldier's Angels whether it is sewing, baking, letter writing, making cards or packing a box of goodies/needed items. Soldier's Angels allows you to participate at a level that you are comfortable with. That could be adopting a miitary person and sending a letter once a week and a package once a month to sewing a blanket for Operation Top Knot, or sending birthday cards for the Card Plus Team. I've been a volunteer with Soldier's Angels for 7 years and during that time I have made new friends, shared joys and difficult times with many Soldiers, sent out more letters and birthday cards that I ever thought was possible and I am proud to say that several of the Soldiers that I supported while they were in Iraq contacted me 1 or 2 years later when they went to Afghanistan and asked me to support them again.
This is a great organization with lots of different things you can do to support our troops. From letter writing to adoptions there is something for everyone. I am proud to be a volunteer for this organization.
Through Soldiers' Angels, we are showing our military how much we appreciate what they are doing for us. I joined this organization in 2008 and have officially adopted several service members sending them monthly letters and packages and have also sent numerous packages and letters to "unofficials." I have been on the Angel Bakers Team, sending home-baked goodies, and have also sent countless birthday cards, thank you cards and letters. Words cannot describe my feelings when I receive a "free mail" or an e-mail in reply to a letter or card I've sent - for them to do that after a very long and busy day leaves me speechless. They are so appreciative that a stranger would take the time to write to them. Sometimes I have tears in my eyes when I read their replies, especially when I know that some of them receive no support from family members and that gives me even more incentive to write and write and write.
I am still in contact with some of the soldiers I have supported since 2008. I treasure their friendship and continue to support them even though at this time they are not deployed..
Being a member of Soldiers Angels is a very rewarding and satisfying experience.
We of Main Street United Methodist Church in Bay St Louis, MS, have supported, and continue to honor our soldiers in many ways through the leadership of Soldier Angel Jeanne "Granny" Graeser. Her enthusiasm has lead us to correspond with men and women in the military, provide Christmas cards and gifts for deployed units, sponsor fishing trips, lunches and parties for veterans, including disabled veterans at the VA Hospital in Biloxi, and those on active duty. (In fact, we have a "Gumbo Party" planned for July 28th at our church.) Our goal is to let the soldiers know how much we care about and appreciate them! Through the support and encouragement of Soldiers' Angels, we can make a difference in our world!
I am the mother of two daughters and one son who have all served in the Air Force. I was so glad when I found Soldiers Angels, so that I could give to our troops. I send as many cards to them as I can. I know from experience that not all of the troops get mail from home. This organization is doing such wonderful work to help support all of those who are serving their country. Most people will not even know what the soldiers go thru on any given day and being part of Soldiers Angels is a way for me to say thank you. The people who run Soldiers Angels are top notch, awesome people.
Leslie and Soldiers' Angels have made a great contribution to the morale and support factor of our Military. While on deployment to the South China sea performing presence and patrol missions one of the best things that can happen is receiving a pallet of mail via the helicopter. Every Sailor onboard received a handwritten letter from Leslie herself. This was a very thoughtful gesture and demonstrated that there a very good, outstanding patriots who still support the missions that we undertake as a military. Soldiers' Angels is an organization that deserves serious kudos. A sincere thank you to you and your organization.

Soldiers Angels is truely a superior organization. I have been working with them for quite some time. We have a great representative who goes out of her way to make things happen for our Medical Center. She has truely been a blessing.
I have been involved with Soldiers Angels since 2009 but more actively in the last year. The opportunity to support our troops overseas and veterans in the US has been a tremendously rewarding experience. The team spirit and support provided amongst fellow volunteers is truly humbling and amazing. Under its new leadership, I see Soldiers Angels making a tremendously positive impact on soldiers, veterans, and caregivers for years to come.
One of the few organizations out there with so many 'hands on' activities to help the troops -- and what an awesome group of volunteers to do it with!
I have been deployed 3 times in 8 years of service in the US Army. During all three deployments Soldier's Angels has been a big supporter of myself and my unit. The individual volunteers have offered to send absolutely anything I needed to make my deployments easier. The organization itself has also sent large amounts of coffee and coffee pots for my entire company during all three deployments. f my wife had not signed me up for this and if these great volunteers were not so giving, my deployments would have been a lot more difficult. Thank you to a great organization with amazing volunteers.
As a fellow Soldiers Angel, I have to say it is great to be part of a great team like Soldiers Angels, being from a military family I have seen the support and love from this group that gives far from what is expected from them. Not just to our troops currently deployed but also to our veterans past, present, and their families. I have never seen a group with so much devotion and willing to send out that extra love and support. As the motto say may no soldier go unloved. I truley believe that Soldiers Angels have made a big impact not just in our veterans and service men and women lives but their families lives as well.
I am a 22 year Air Force retired officer. I am also 90% disabled from military service. While God has been good to me and I don't have need for too much, the occasional small gesture of support and kindness Soldiers' Angels offers is amazing! The lunches they provide to patients at the VA are great! When you have had weeks of hospital food and Olive Garden shows up, it definitely brightens your day! Thank you for all Soldiers' Angels does!
Very excited about the future of this organization under terrific leadership. I have worked with many military charitable organizations but the best ones are those that are rooted in their mission of service and putting clients first. Knowing the leadership and the organization like I do, I believe that Soldier's Angels' best days are ahead of them.
Soldiers Angels have been absolutely the best. I have been the recipient of their donations for many years. As an active duty Chaplin currently deployed to Afghanistan they have gone above and beyond my wildest dreams to help the Soldiers I serve as the 3BCT,10th MTN DIV (LI), BDE Chaplain. May you continue to great things for our Soldiers and may you continue to be blessed. Thank you Tina Englen for all the blessings you have bestowed on us. CH Mike McCawley.
I joined this charity in 2013. At the last minute my husband and I wanted to find a soldier and adopt his/her family for the holidays. Because this was the first one I found and the holiday clock was ticking, I joined. I was dismayed that I was asked to donate 10.00 a month. $10! I'm reading the old reviews (scroll through the ones that seemed to be added all at once in June, which is a bit of a red flag to me, by the way) and you will see when they started charging 1.00 a month from volunteers. What the heck? What's up with the 90% increase? I feel a little stupid now because I am not convinced that the 120.00 a year I'm spending is going where it should. After all, I just received an email this morning asking for a donation to ship coffee... with every volunteer being asked to give 10.00 a month, wouldn't that be sufficient? I am not sure I understand. I was happy to help two solider families this past Christmas, and did receive pictures from them opening the gifts and an email thanks from both wives, I think I'd rather err on the side of caution and do something else. When I signed in to the site, though, there's NO PLACE to cancel the automatic withdrawals. Nope. Well, that's convenient. I have emailed them and hope that someone can take care of it.
I had been looking for a way to help support the soldiers of my country for a couple of years, and I came across Soldiers' Angels and I immediately fell in love with the organization. I love knowing that I can send letters out to those who serve our country and that I am able to adopt a soldier and send them items to help them with their necessities. I have been able to send out more than twenty letters and I have been able to adopt two different chaplains who I can help support many soldiers out there through investing in. The other people involved with keeping Soldiers' Angels running are absolutely wonderful. They help with any questions or concerns, and if they don't know the answer, they will send you to someone who does! I absolutely love Soldiers' Angels!
Assured Comfort Heating & Air has partnered with Soldier's Angels since 2007 to provide funds, warehouse space, logistical support, and volunteers. We are honored to be so closely tied to such a wonderful organization. Everything we donate goes DIRECTLY to the project at hand. They are able to switch directions quickly and efficiently to meet the needs of those they serve and are a fantastic group of selfless people trying to make our world a better place.
Soldiers Angels is a great organization. I have been involved with them for 5 years now & they have done so much for deployed troops & now we are working with the VA hospitals & clinics to help our Veterans and homeless vets. I like the fact that they ask for a donation in kind as opposed to money. I plan to continue to be a volunteer with them for as long as they will have me.
What Soldiers' Angels does for our deployed troops is priceless! I am honored to support them with my monthly donation.
This is a terrific organization to volunteer for! We give love and support to the brave men and women of the U.S. Military, both past and present, in many different ways. I've been lucky enough to visit with our veterans at our local VA hospital, passing out hand-made blankets and snacks. I also support our troops overseas by packing care packages for them, and our family plans on adopting a soldier of our own! I've enjoyed my time with them so much!
The rapid success and growth over the past year with Soldiers Angels is directly related to one thing, the remarkable leadership additions to the team! Amy, Jennifer, Heather, Tina, the list goes on an on of great people that genuinely care to make a difference for the population they serve. I have full faith and confidence that Soldiers Angels will continue its growth in a major way over the next 5 years, becoming one of the largest Military serving nonprofit organizations without losing what makes them so great ... their caring nature.
I've been a member of Soldier's Angels since 2006. As a part of the Letter Writing Team and also adopting several soldiers I have been privileged to be a part of this group. Getting letters back from my adopted soldiers and occasionally from those I have written letters to has shown me just how much this organization impacts our military and how much it means to them to receive something so simple as a letter from a stranger. I have also represented Soldier's Angels at several Yellow Ribbon Events and am excited to spread the word about this wonderful organization. As a volunteer I have always received support and encouragement from my team leaders and Soldier's Angels. The dedication to both the soldiers as well as the volunteers and staff is what makes this a truly great organization.
I tell everyone about Soldiers Angels here in GA. I am so proud to be serving our servicemen and women in any little way possible, with REAL results. If you are looking for somewhere to get involved and be blessed at the same time, this is the place! I recommend this group to anyone who asks!
This amazing organization gives extra TLC and support to service men, women and their families through various programs. As an "Angel" I have the opportunity to express my gratitude to service men and women letting them know that their actions are recognized and valuable. Every action that is done, is done with love and with the knowledge that my simple thank you can brighten someones day at mail call. Not only are the staff and team leaders great but the other volunteers like myself are a great support system. This makes me want to continue working with this wonderful organization.
