I’ve volunteered with Soldiers Angels for almost a decade. The money you spend goes directly to the soldiers you are supporting because you choose how you support other than a validation fee which is nominal . It is truly a chartity that exists because of its volunteers and offers a direct way to care for our deployed armed forces while also providing assistance to veterans. I couldn’t be prouder to be able to serve those who serve with the assistance of this team.
I’ve participated in several special projects for the troops through the Chaplain Support Team- it has been a true blessing to work with such a great organization.
Love this Group of Volunteers! The teams of Soldiers' Angels go above and beyond. They are SO AWESOME to be a part of. SA has allowed me and my family to connect and show our love and support to military members and their families that we wouldn't have been able to connect with otherwise. As an "angel" I am so beyond blessed to be a part of Soldiers' Angels.
I have proudly volunteered as an "Angel" for almost 8 years and will continue to do so as long as possible. It's an outstanding organization. The love and support for our active service members, their families and our veterans is heartwarming. I think I get as much joy writing letters just as much as those on the receiving end when they hear their name at mail call. I would recommend anyone looking for a way to give back to those who serve to sign on with Soldiers' Angels.
I have been a volunteer "Angel" since 2010. In that time, all of the hours spent letter writing and sending care packages to our deployed military personnel has been a total labor of love. I would recommend Soldiers' Angels to anyone looking for a way to support our brave ones in harm's way and also our veterans and their families.
I started with Soldier's Angels Letter Writing Team 3 years ago, to support the Troops overseas. I thought being so far away in Australia that I would blend in and probably never hear from anyone. Well so not true at all. The team leaders have been patient and wonderful & to my surprise the troops have proven to be curious about where I live and what I do to help out. All of us are volunteers and we do get recognised for our help and support. There is nothing like Soldiers Angels here in Australia on such a huge scale. I feel so much a part of this wonderfully supportive caring team, that it puts a smile on my face every day. I even wear Red for Friday's now. Woo Hoo
I love being a soldier Angel volunteer. It makes a person feel so good to help a soldier overseas. They also send letters to Veterans, caregivers of military, and send baby items before The arrivals of a new baby. The Soldiers Angels organization wants military to always receive mail. We also send birthday cards to them and to their cildren, Sympathy catds, New Baby cards.
My Life has taken me all around the world into hot spots and places angels really do fear to tread and so far i have this amazing organisation to be the most transparent, honest, honorable, genuine and simply easiest charity i have ever been involved with, The level of love is simply overflowing form each posting on face book to the warmth of the team leaders down to the random letters of free mail. The title says it all these dedicated folks truly are Gods worker bees here on earth.
I have worked with Soldiers Angels for several years now and it is a wonderful organization with amazing people!
I have been with Soldiers Angels for about 6 months now and I love it. It is a wonderful program that supports our Troops. There are many different options available to show your support. You can write letters, send care packages, send birthday cards or much more. I have always been a vocal supporter of our brave men and women of the Armed Forces but now I get to put my "money where my mouth is", so to speak. No matter what your income this organization allows everyone to participate in helping and showing love to those who protect us everyday. I am so glad I found Soldiers Angels and I tell everyone I can about it as well. I have received many letters and emails from my soldiers and they express their gratitude and love. It is very rewarding.
Love the dedication to supporting our military and their families.
Soldier's Angel's is an amazing organization that makes such a huge difference for our veterans and active duty military. I have heard firsthand from deployed heroes how much the care packages and letters have brightened their days. I love the idea of supporting our heroes who sacrifice so much for us.
Absolutely love being part of this non profit. Been part of it for years. I love what they do to help deployed service members.
Soldiers’ Angels is a great organization. I’ve been volunteering with SÁ for over two years. I’m truly thankful to be able to help our service members through the organization.
I learned about Soldiers' Angels through volunteering at the VA Hospital. It amazes me how many people from all over are helping and giving in big and small ways in each area of Soldiers' Angels. I want everyone to know how important this organization is because it is supporting the most important (and precious) people from this country.
I've had a number of years of experience with this great group and all the wonderful work they do to support U.S. Service Members of all the branches of our military whether currently deployed or as veterans.
I recently re-joined as a volunteer who sends cards and letters to our service members and love sending support and encouragement or even just a birthday greeting to those deployed around the world.
I am currently helping do a Warm Feet for Warriors drive with my Civil War reeanactors in Southern California. I have seen so many of the boxes filled with love and baked goods go out to our military. The different ways one can help is astounding. It is a blessing for us to have our Military but a bigger blessing for them to have Soldiers'Angels!
Thank you all you do,
I have been with SA since 2005 and love volunteering for them. They are easy to work with and if you have a question they are always happy to answer. If you are looking for a nonprofit to volunteer for I highly suggest you try them out. Sending our care packages really makes my day.
I got involved with Soldiers' Angels because my husband and I wanted to give back. He was active duty USAF for 23 yrs and remembers the care packages from family. They make all the difference when you are gone for such a long time and in places that are not quit so nice. The comforts of home sometimes will make a day that is being crappy turn into one of Thanks someone has not forgotten me. When we first started it was going to be a yearly Christmas thing and then we got to talking and decided why should they have to wait until Christmas for a care package they may need today. We love doing it so much and we love when we hear stories of how the troops love getting those creature comforts from home. So if you are looking for a way to get involved from just writing letters, care packages, sewing for new babies, there are lots of ways to get involved.
I looked into Soldiers Angels in the past an just never signed up. Recently I revisited the site and actually looked at all the things they do for our soldiers, their families and our nations vets and decided it was time to join. I have been with them as a volunteer now for several months and absolutely love what they do, what we do to support. I have sent so many letters and cards (birthday and other) as well as several care packages. It makes me feel good to be able to give back in this way.
I've been with Soldiers Angels as a letter writer for almost eight years now. I have met SO MANY wonderful people on the team as well as deployed soldiers. My deployed friends have mentioned many times how important SA's work is and how it truly does boost morale.
I love volunteering at Soldiers' Angels. The military men and women I have sponsored (my adopted soldiers) are always grateful for my letters and packages. But I think I get more enjoyment from doing this than they do. I have met new friends and learned new things. I think Soldiers' Angels is a great organization.
I have to say how incredible this organization is for us.. I am a caregiver to a very broken soldier ( well hes not a soldier anymore, hes a complete 100% disabled veteran as of may 10) and I was love by this organization more than you could even imagine.. I was having very dark days and very dark nights, and honestly I still do but I was told im worth more.. The advocates of this organization do more for us then anyone could ever imagine.. For the first time when they say they are here for us its true!! I was saved by one of the ladies that admin for this organization, and honestly she has saved me many times.. I cant tell you what and how much I really need to feel loved.. When all you do or give is everything to everyone but yourself you lose yourself completely.. I forget what feels good and what feels right and I honestly cry alot.. But I can tell you ive had more joy being apart of this organization then I have in so many years.. so thank you so much and from the bottom of my heart
As a veteran that has overcame many obstacles to include homelessness and all that comes with it. This is the only organization that I have received assistance from that has thanks me for my service and it didn't feel scripted. I am truly proud to be apart of an organization that brings so much happiness to so many individuals. I have seen the true compassion that is displayed amongst everyone and it warms my heart to watch the veterans faces when they are receiving food, conversation, even coffee at the main hospital. I listen to the compassion in the voices of the volunteers and staff. I am truly amazed. Thank you Soldiers' Angels for all you do for those that has served our country,
