Hi, I'm Linda I have been a client at S.l.E.W. Cancer WellnessCenter for nine and a half years. It has been a blessing for me to be around other women who understand and have walked in my footsteps. S.L.E.W. has provided me with wigs, bra's and prosthesis at no cost. But most of all support, friendship, and have made me whole again. I can pick up my head and walk proudly.
I am on the Soldiers' Angels Baking team and learned about it through another baking group that I am apart of. It is a great way to show support of our soldiers. Each time I ship a box, I share my experiences with the original baking group and have gotten a great response from them and several more have joined as a result.
I was a Soldiers Angels volunteer waaaay back in the beginning of the 9/11 conflicts. I have since rejoined their teams to support those who sacrifice everything for our safety! They have COME A LONG WAY with organization as they are VERY organized and provide stellar support to volunteers! I would highly recommend them if you want to *send a little sunshine to our Service Members*.
I am currently a Team Angel assigned to a Letter Writing Team. I have volunteered for many years with various non-profit organizations who provide support for the United States Military and our Veterans. I have to say, the support that Soldier's Angels provides for our troops and its volunteers is by far some of the best.
Been a member since October 2016... currently on three teams. It's a wonderful organisation doing great things for US servicemen, servicewomen and their families around the world as well as in the US!
This is a great contribution to the veterans in our community. I look forward to the service when it's available to the veterans. Very organized, we appreciate your organization...
I am new to this nonprofit and I love what they are doing for the soldiers. They make you feel like you are part of an important team. AND, they are well organized.
I personally think you are greatly apperciated. Thank you for all you do.
All you do is well... The only way to improve this service is to be able to reach out to those veterans who are unable financially to reach you...by recognizing them and possibly delivering to them..
They are curtieous, kind and hardworking. The only problem is not with them it's the food bank truck is constantly 1/2 to 1 hour late, causing problems.
Kind and courteous volunteers of which aid and assist fellow veterans through tough times and help you feel appreciated and cared for.
(1/2) I didn't believe that this place would help me. And the professionalism, courtesy. Please keep up this wonderful work. And Thaaannnk You for helping me and
Soldier's Angels is an amazing organization. Helping to support our brave men and women through their deployment has been an honor. I am a part of a few teams: Cards Plus, Letter Writing, Living Legends, and Deployed Adoption. Each one of these teams I have seen the impact a simple action can bring. Our heroes don't ask for much; just to know that there are people out there how care about what they are sacrificing. While many of them are busy defending our country, it feels good to know that when you get a response, you know you are making a difference. I am not looking for recognition in what I do, I volunteer because I want to make a difference, show my support, and help these brave individuals stay strong and loved.
Thank you Soldier's Angels for allowing me to be a part of something bigger than myself!!!
I always enjoyed volunteering. But after college, starting a job, getting married, starting life, it was hard to get started again. Soldier's Angels has a way for anyone to volunteer from any level of giving. I enjoy writing. So being able to share my gratitude through word is such a joy. This organization is such a well-organized and dedicated one. The work everyone does to support our troops is encouraging and motivating. It's an honor to know that as a common citizen, I can still reach out and make a difference to the lives of some of our service members.
They are providing food for us that are living below the poverty line. And as vet's we appreciate it. They could be a little more regular
I want to thank you for the gallon of milk in the chicken it was truly awesome for me and my daughter The line was pretty long but it was well worth it thank
I volunteer at Soldiers' Angels in three teams, Letter Writing, Cards Plus, and Sewing and Crafting. I find the time spent sending mail to our soldiers both current and veteran and their families to be very rewarding. I'm medically unable to serve in our military, and this is a great alternative for me. My kids even like coloring pictures to send with my letters. It's a great way to teach them that our rights and freedom come from so many brave men and women who put their own lives on hold to serve our country. Occasionally I'll hear back from a soldier, and it completely makes my week.
