I’ve volunteered with Soldiers Angels for almost a decade. The money you spend goes directly to the soldiers you are supporting because you choose how you support other than a validation fee which is nominal . It is truly a chartity that exists because of its volunteers and offers a direct way to care for our deployed armed forces while also providing assistance to veterans. I couldn’t be prouder to be able to serve those who serve with the assistance of this team.
I have been a volunteer with Soldiers' Angels for several years now and I know I get more out of it than I put in. It's so amazing to hear back from someone you have written to - and note that out of 10 troops, you may hear from 1! - and that is what makes it so special. I enjoy participating in more than just deployed adoptions as I am also on the Hospice Team and the Letter Writing team. Soldiers' Angels has something for everyone.
I have worked with several organizations that support our deployed service members. While all of them are good, Soldiers' Angels is the best I've worked with to date. There are several ways to participate; some require money and some don't. It's all up to the volunteer for to choose his/her level of effort. There is a small monthly fee (minimum $1), but that enables the website to be kept current and any staff to respond to requests very quickly.
Soldier' s Angel always thinks of veterans, deployed soldiers and their families first. Their love of the country and thankfulness of what these men and women did and do for our country. To keep us safe and free. I have recently started volunteering sending out cards, letters and have adopted a deployed soldier and it is truly amazing what the other men and women who volunteer do. I am always in awe of the love and dedication these people put forth. I really wish more people knew about this organization. It has changed my perspective on so many things in a short amount of time already. God Bless America
I've been involved with Soldier's Angels since 2009. They do a lot for our Service Members; keeping us informed how we can help out and there are numerous ways we can help so it's not a matter of how much time or money one can afford to give- every bit counts and every bit helps our military! It's a very organized group and the communication between the Leaders and Point Angels and us Angels is terrific (communication is very important). It's a super positive group of people who are quick to offer encouragement, praise and assistance often. We are kept informed with frequent input from our leaders and the newsletters are informative and up to date. I feel good about being a part of this group to serve those who give so very much serving our country!!
I've been adopting soldiers since 2009! I'm on my 13th soldier. I used to write to 'any soldier' through 'Operation Dear Abby' when I was in college. I have friends and family and now children of friends who serve (served) in the military. I wanted a way to Really/ Actually help the men and women who serve our country. I am very happy to be a part of Soldier's Angels because I feel that they are a REAL organization; meaning I Trust them and Trust that the monetary donations that I make are Truly going where SA says they are going and though each of 'my' soldiers hasn't been able to write to me, I trust that the letters and packages are going to soldiers who need the support, encouragement and goodies I send. The soldiers I have heard from tell me how 'every little bit helps' and 'it makes them feel good to know they are thought of by us here in the States'. I value my freedom and love the USA and am happy that with SA I have a way to Actually Tell and Show my appreciation and thankfulness Directly to The People who are Serving our country!
My parents are both Army veterans, my husband is retired Air Force. I have several brothers and sisters also on active duty - some reaching retirement. I have strong roots as long term military "family" and have always searched for ways to contribute and be a part of the military tradition.
For the last several years, I have been honored to be a part of the Soldier's Angels crafting team. I spend countless hours on ball fields and chorus rehearsals with my teenagers and spend that time crocheting. Soldier's Angels has given me the opportunity to take those hours and turn them in to giving moments for our troops - all during the time that I spend with my family.
With every stitch, every skein of yarn, I feel that connection to our service men and women who will ultimately have a rough time in their lives brightened by the gifts I send.
Soldier's Angels has provided me the platform to continue to give of myself.
Soldiers Angels are tireless in their efforts to provide comfort to the yeterans in the VA Hospitals and provide food to the homeless veterans.
I’ve participated in several special projects for the troops through the Chaplain Support Team- it has been a true blessing to work with such a great organization.
Love this Group of Volunteers! The teams of Soldiers' Angels go above and beyond. They are SO AWESOME to be a part of. SA has allowed me and my family to connect and show our love and support to military members and their families that we wouldn't have been able to connect with otherwise. As an "angel" I am so beyond blessed to be a part of Soldiers' Angels.
I have proudly volunteered as an "Angel" for almost 8 years and will continue to do so as long as possible. It's an outstanding organization. The love and support for our active service members, their families and our veterans is heartwarming. I think I get as much joy writing letters just as much as those on the receiving end when they hear their name at mail call. I would recommend anyone looking for a way to give back to those who serve to sign on with Soldiers' Angels.
I have been a volunteer "Angel" since 2010. In that time, all of the hours spent letter writing and sending care packages to our deployed military personnel has been a total labor of love. I would recommend Soldiers' Angels to anyone looking for a way to support our brave ones in harm's way and also our veterans and their families.
I started with Soldier's Angels Letter Writing Team 3 years ago, to support the Troops overseas. I thought being so far away in Australia that I would blend in and probably never hear from anyone. Well so not true at all. The team leaders have been patient and wonderful & to my surprise the troops have proven to be curious about where I live and what I do to help out. All of us are volunteers and we do get recognised for our help and support. There is nothing like Soldiers Angels here in Australia on such a huge scale. I feel so much a part of this wonderfully supportive caring team, that it puts a smile on my face every day. I even wear Red for Friday's now. Woo Hoo
I love being a soldier Angel volunteer. It makes a person feel so good to help a soldier overseas. They also send letters to Veterans, caregivers of military, and send baby items before The arrivals of a new baby. The Soldiers Angels organization wants military to always receive mail. We also send birthday cards to them and to their cildren, Sympathy catds, New Baby cards.
My Life has taken me all around the world into hot spots and places angels really do fear to tread and so far i have this amazing organisation to be the most transparent, honest, honorable, genuine and simply easiest charity i have ever been involved with, The level of love is simply overflowing form each posting on face book to the warmth of the team leaders down to the random letters of free mail. The title says it all these dedicated folks truly are Gods worker bees here on earth.
I have worked with Soldiers Angels for several years now and it is a wonderful organization with amazing people!
I have been with Soldiers Angels for about 6 months now and I love it. It is a wonderful program that supports our Troops. There are many different options available to show your support. You can write letters, send care packages, send birthday cards or much more. I have always been a vocal supporter of our brave men and women of the Armed Forces but now I get to put my "money where my mouth is", so to speak. No matter what your income this organization allows everyone to participate in helping and showing love to those who protect us everyday. I am so glad I found Soldiers Angels and I tell everyone I can about it as well. I have received many letters and emails from my soldiers and they express their gratitude and love. It is very rewarding.
Love the dedication to supporting our military and their families.
Soldier's Angel's is an amazing organization that makes such a huge difference for our veterans and active duty military. I have heard firsthand from deployed heroes how much the care packages and letters have brightened their days. I love the idea of supporting our heroes who sacrifice so much for us.
Absolutely love being part of this non profit. Been part of it for years. I love what they do to help deployed service members.
Amazing group supporting our veterans their families and those currently enlisted. It has been a joy to volunteer for them and helo take steps to make sure no Soliders walks alone.
Soldiers’ Angels is a great organization. I’ve been volunteering with SÁ for over two years. I’m truly thankful to be able to help our service members through the organization.
I learned about Soldiers' Angels through volunteering at the VA Hospital. It amazes me how many people from all over are helping and giving in big and small ways in each area of Soldiers' Angels. I want everyone to know how important this organization is because it is supporting the most important (and precious) people from this country.
I've had a number of years of experience with this great group and all the wonderful work they do to support U.S. Service Members of all the branches of our military whether currently deployed or as veterans.
I recently re-joined as a volunteer who sends cards and letters to our service members and love sending support and encouragement or even just a birthday greeting to those deployed around the world.
I am currently helping do a Warm Feet for Warriors drive with my Civil War reeanactors in Southern California. I have seen so many of the boxes filled with love and baked goods go out to our military. The different ways one can help is astounding. It is a blessing for us to have our Military but a bigger blessing for them to have Soldiers'Angels!
Thank you all you do,
