I am a teacher in Detroit. The ASD Foundation has been a huge blessing to my students and their families by providing them with an ipad so that their child can communicate. This organization is making a difference in the lives of our students with Autism.

This year has been rough due to Covid and if it weren’t for this organization and all their help it just wouldn’t be Christmas. Thank you for all that you do we greatly appreciate it. Having kiddos on the spectrum makes shopping for gifts a little harder therefore more expensive, if it weren't for all that this organization does we could not afford the gifts that help them.

I want to let everyone know that the Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation is such a huge help to families. I am a single mom with 2 children with autism and thanks to their holiday program I will be able to give my son's a Christmas. My older son was so excited when he received his ipad yesterday! He no longer has to share one with his younger brother who uses the ipad everyday given his complex needs. Given their needs, I have not been able to work with covid and virtual schooling. They truly have the children's best interest at heart and understand the challenges and their needs. Please support them so they can continue to do their amazing work. They are an organization to be admired and supported.

Thank you so much to the generosity of the Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation my 5 year old son was able to get an IPad that we will be using for further developing his speech. His speech therapist had recommended a communication software that is used on the iPad. We are very excited to see how much this will enhance his language and speech therapy. Thank you for all the work you do to help kids on the Autism spectrum. Thank you to all who donate to this foundation to make these much needed awards make a difference in many families lives.

First of all telling a lot of people about this organization! Not trying to give pressure, but this organization should be more well known! Love how easy the process is! Love the options given! This organization really cares about having the access to resources! Receiving the $100 gift card made a tremendous impact in helping us afford Christmas this year. My oldest child is on the spectrum and we also have two other neurotypical children. We received a free Ipad for our 3 year old non-verbal Autistic daughter. I cried when I opened it. We needed the Ipad to download a speech app so that she can learn to communicate with us via the Ipad. We never would have been able to afford one without your help. We received an iPad for our 7 year old son. He is non verbal and he relies on a communication app on an iPad to communicate. The gift of an iPad is like giving him the gift of "speech" to him. We are beyond blessed to have received this important tool!! He will use it for years to come!

My daughter received her iPad the other day in the mail, and we were surprised as we were not expecting it so quickly. It could not have come at a better time!! She was missing her family terribly as these holidays are so different, and they live so far away. We were able to set up the iPad and show her how to use it to surprise FaceTime them. She was BEAMING to see them and interact with them as she does not like things being so different from her normal routine. We will be able to use this for music therapy, social stories, school, seeing family, coloring, and so much more! We are so thankful to those who have made this happen. You have no idea how much this has blessed our family and our daughter. Words cannot express our gratitude!!

First of all, I want to say big "Thank you" to those who made it possible to give an ipad to my autistic son. My son is 7-year old. This gift has been a tremendous blessing to our family especially to my son. Now he is able to work on his ipad and do speech and other therapies using this ipad. And we really thank God for all of you. And we pray that may God reward you 7 times more for what you are doing. Thank you again and again!

I am so grateful for this program. My son Skyler is 13 and was diagnosed with autism at nearly 3. He was recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes as well. This iPad gift means so much to him due to the fact he’s been asking for one since earlier this year. I’m a single mother to two wonderful sons ages 13 and 11 and although I do all I can for them as a mother should. Ive had two total knee replacement surgeries in the past 5 months due to severe arthritis. I’m grateful to everyone and all organizations that made the iPad a reality for my Skyler. He is over the moon filled with excitement. Love you all.

We were gifted an ipad for our son who was recently diagnosed with ASD Andover are beyond thankful! He has always preferred electronics for learning and the unexpected changes that Covid has brought on for him starting kindergarten this year have been challenging for a child that needs routine. The iPad will be an amazing tool for him to begin learning to communicate with us and continue learning through educational apps. We wouldn’t have been able to get him one this year if it weren’t for ASDF.

I want to start by thanking this organization for gifting an iPad to my son, Aamir. He just turned 3 and was recently diagnosed with ASD. It has been a struggle to find support especially during the pandemic so this organization has been the silver lining to this year. He is nonverbal and we were looking to purchase a tablet that we could use as a sounding board. He’s only three but knows how to work cell phones and tablets so we were excited to have this one. We cannot wait to see his expression when he opens this on Christmas. You all have really made a difference in our lives and we thank you.

I would like to take this moment to that this organization . They gifted my son a ipad for Christmas this year. It will be a wonderful blessing for him to open it up on Christmas. The Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation helped better my sons life by providing him with an iPad to help him communicate. My son is 9 years old and is non verbal and has level 3 autism. He had the older iPad that he used Proloquo2go on to communicate but it broke and stopped working causing him to use our phones and get frustrated with a smaller screen. Due to covid 19 my husband and I were both out of work and struggling to find a way to provide a new iPad for our son. That’s when I found this organization and reached out. They responded quickly and were so helpful in providing the information needed to get this going. I applied for the iPad program and the director Michael Slutsky was so quick in replying and helping us get the iPad. I wasn’t expecting it to come so early and my son was beyond excited to see he had a new iPad he could use! What an amazing organization! Thank you for making a difference for our family. A few years back this amazing company was able to provide my 2 boys with autism an iPad for each. That has been very helpful and has impacted their lives in so many ways from speech to school. I have been unemployed due to taking a Family Medical Leave to stay home with my boys for them to stay online for school due to their multiple medical conditions and this foundation made this happen for me to provide my boys a christmas. We have a 9y.o son diagnosed with Autism and ADHD.He is non-verbal and has a very challenging behavior aggression, self injurious behavior, elopement and safety issues.He has ABA daily, speech and OT once a week since 2017.We are struggling financially to make monthly payments for all his therapy.We were thinking of stopping the therapy to allow us time to recover financially.Then i look for resources online for grants and so many options to choose.I chose ASDF completed application online and the response was quick and timely.Mr.Slutsky is very kind and accomodating and work us to the whole process.Our son’s ABA total invoice to this date will be fully paid.What an immense relief.We can continue our son’s therapy to help him make progress and to help meet his needs , we have a peace of mind and an immense relief on our financial burden.We are beyond grateful for making a difference in our life.More than words can express thank you for helping us.

We are very grateful for Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation's support in this difficulty time. As a single Mom with a child with ASD, life can't be predictable at times. However, it hit us even harder with Covid-19 and laid-off from job. The Autism Spectrum Foundation has been such a life saver this summer! We are so grateful for them for financially assisting us with private swim lessons for our 4 year old son! They have been wonderful communicators and we can not thank them enough for helping our little guy become more safe around water. My son received a wonderful surprise this holiday season, an iPad from ASDF! While he is interacting and displaying notable talent with its music composing, keyboard and drums/percussion features, I am using it to facilitate his social communication and problem solving skill development through direct teaching using mobile technology. The iPad now allows me to follow through with the information, guidance and use and App recommendations I received from social skill experts during a parent workshop. Some of social communication app recommendations include: The Room, Lets Be Social, My School Day, Social Detective and Machinarium. We have the deepest gratitude for having received important support from ASDF during our solution-seeking journey to improve our quality of life. Thank you ASDF!

We are a family with 2 children on the spectrum. We are a low income family, and even though we get SSI for one of our kids, all our extra money goes to medical bills and expenses not covered by insurance or SSI. Christmas was looking pretty grim this year.

I was online browsing for different resources to assist my daughter with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder). I ran across this organization that stated they will send a $100 gift card to your store of choice from a list of options they had for the holidays. I wasn't 100% sure if this was legit but I figured I would take a chance because they were not asking for any personal information besides proof my child was diagnosed with ASD. A few weeks had went pass and I honestly forgot about it but just a week before the holiday i checked my mailbox and the gift card was there! I am so thankful for this blessing at this time. The Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation has been a wonderful partner of Autism Pensacola for years! This foundation has been such a blessing for our family. We are a single income home and have two biological children on the spectrum and recently became foster parents of a child on the spectrum. Our son is completely non verbal so being able to be a part of the ipad program has been a crucial part in helping develop his language skills. In the past we have also been a part of the gift card program. This program also makes a huge difference in what we can do for our kids for christmas. I would like to thank Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation for giving my daughter a brand new IPad. They make things not possible so possible and we are truly grateful for them. They are an amazing nonprofit organization.

My son Zane is 11 with severe non verbal autism and back in October I signed up for an ipad and in November he got an ipad mini. I was surprised because I have signed up at bigger nonprofits at autism speaks several times and never got anything. My son is very happy with his new ipad. I could not have afforded to buy this myself and very grateful for asdf. What a blessing they are to my family.

I came across the ASDF after hearing about their iPad program for children of autism. My 4 year old son was officially diagnosed on the spectrum earlier this year. Prior to his diagnosis, we took proactive measures and used an older iPad (2nd gen) I once used to help him develop his speech and writing skills with the help of local therapists. This worked adequately until the iPad started showing its age and we could no longer use it effectively. While we were able to continue his therapy, it did slow down the progress he was making. I was prepared to buy a second hand iPad that wasn't the latest but that would have gotten us along with the minimal standards and keep us within our budget. A local autism family support group recommended we make a request through ASDF. We filled out the application and received a reply via email within a few days asking us to submit our child's official ASD diagnosis. We understood ahead of time that there would be plenty of others making similar requests and that it would be several months before we received a final response. In the meantime, we continued working hard with our son who has made great strides in his therapy sessions. Then I received an email from ASDF that my son will be receiving his iPad by the end of the week! Just a week shy of his 5th birthday! This particular iPad is Apple Pencil capable which means, we will be able to ramp up his writing therapy at home or wherever we need to be that day now. I am so grateful for what Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation is doing for my son and others who were able to receive their iPads. This technology makes the difference between walking and running a race. Autism will always be a part of who my son is but through this program, it will help him integrate with his peers and allow him to develop at a quicker pace so he's not left behind.

Please consider giving ASDF your support by helping them continue to donate iPads to children of autism. It will be a sound investment in their future.

I am always so blessed to often get to be the person who shares the generous gifts that ASDF give to support the families our organization serves. The work they do is simply life-changing for many families and I am very grateful for their constant support!!!

My daughter is 15 years old and has autism with ADHD and Bi-polar disorder. She is an only child and struggles with making friends. Since she is 15 there are not summer camp programs for her age. She was staying with a family member for the day who was not able to take her on outings during the summer. The Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation provided payment for her to attend a week of summer camp for kids on the spectrum. She was able to make friends and enjoy a fun filled week of activities. Due to our struggles of paying for her specialty treatments this would not have been possible.
She was able to gain self-confidence skills and feel totally normal for a full week of her life. She loved Camp Lakey Gap in Black Mountain, NC and has expressed returning next year if possible. She came home with a glow we had never seen before. At camp she felt able to be herself around other campers who struggled with the same issues.
When I say this was the happiest week of her life I really mean it because these were her exact words.
Children with Autism do not get to share many happy moments in their social lives because they view themselves as different and are often treated different by peers. When they are able to come together for fun events they enjoy each other and the time they spend together.
Thank you so much for this life changing event in our lives. We are beyond grateful.

My daughter attends camp over the summer through Aaron’s Acres. They provide a excellent program for children and young adults with special needs. We are able to attend this program with the help of financial support. The scholarship money received from the Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation has allowed our daughter to have a great summer experience through camp at Aaron’s Acres. We are forever grateful for the support that is provided as camp is her favorite part of her summer. It also allows us as parents the peace of mind to know she is having a good time and in great hands.

The assistance from ASDF has led to a meaningful life for my son. His funding was for job and cognitive coaching so he could learn the skills to participate on a job search for potential employment. This must be taught by a provider that understands individuals on the autism spectrum and their language and soft skill challenges. This finding assistance will enable my son to b come part of his community which he deserves th right to. Meaningful inclusion is very important to our children’s well being, self esteem and mental health. Leaning does not end when school ends. I tried to get a ipad for my autistic son. But I was to late for it so instead they sent me a Walmart gift card for 100$ . I took that card and got my son a water table cuz its summer time. And also was able to get alittle food in the house. Witch was also a big help. As im a low income family every little bit counts. So id like to thank all of u at autism speaks. U helped us out so much. And I also helped them out as I started a fundraiser for my sons 2nd birthday. Total amount was 200$ but only could come up w 170$ but its still something. So thank you all.

Our 7-year old son was diagnosed on the autism spectrum 2 years ago and it has been a struggle finding a camp that can meet his needs yet also meet our limited financial resources. I thank God that I stumbled across the ASDF website as there is no way we could send our son to the social skills camp we were told about by our son's occupational therapist. This foundation is absolutely amazing. They have enabled my son to take therapeutic horse riding lessons when he wouldn’t have been otherwise able to do so. Their application process is simple, but thorough, and they’re incredibly fast and responsive. They work with you to get what your child needs and aren’t stuck in a “no” or “this is the rule and we must follow exactly the same procedure every time” philosophy. Thank you so much!!!!

The IPad program has brought smart home technology that has truly made such a meaningful experience for my sons, Roger Lee, Isaic Benton and My king Hunt.
The apps that my son play on a regular to what seems like all day with the exception of school and Aba tberapy had encouraged them to be educated with daily living skills and social skills.
