Mission: United cerebral palsy of new york city, inc. (doing business as adapt community network) (the "agency") is a not-for-profit organization, formed under the not-for-profit corporation law of the state of new york, founded in 1946 by parents of children with disabilities. The mission of the agency is to create opportunities for people with disabilities to lead independent and fulfilling lives. Currently, approximately 23,000 individuals receive services annually from the agency. These services include preschool and school-age programs, residential programs, day programs, vocational programs and medical and support services.
