Mission: Financially support the work of sun sounds of arizona radio, an outreach service of rio salado college, allowing visually impaired individuals access to auditory verisons of print media in the state of arizona.
Programs: All funding raised by the sun sounds foundation supports sun sounds of arizona radio, and provides reading and other current information to the visually impaired. Services are delivered via mass media, including broadcast radio, internet, and telephone. The daily presentation of newspapers, grocery ads, magazines, and books is provided at no charge to approximately 50,000 individuals with print disabilities throughout arizona and beyond. Sun sounds of arizona improved on and further developed its newest service, on demand, permitting its subscribers to download or stream more than 85 programs representing nearly 200 publications.
