Mission: Re-volv empowers people and communities to invest collectively in renewable energy. Re-volv finances community-based solar energy projects with a revolving funds raised through crowdfunding. Re-volv raises awareness about solar energy through its community-based solar projects and outreach programs across the united states.
Programs: Re-volv has continued to successfully execute programs with solar savings for recipients such as the river revitalization foundation, kehilla community synagogue, and project home.
re-volv successfully crowdfunded its eleventh solar energy project through successfull community-based initiatives and installed a 26kw solar energy installation for the isla vista food cooperative in california. This system will prevent more than 1. 3 million lbs of carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere over the lifetime of the solar panels. The goal of this program is to outfit the isla vista food co-op with solar panels and to educate the community about the benefits of solar energy.
re-volv installed a 14. 4 kw solar energy installation for harbor house in oakland, ca. This program will be saving harbor house 39% of their electric bill in the first year and around $111,000 over the warranty of the system. The money they save will go to improving the quality of their services and allow them to serve more of the community.
