Causes: Arts & Culture, Single Organization Support
Programs: The foundation makes grants to pbs to ensure pbs' continued excellence and to promote and enhance outstanding public broadcasting programs and services. Grants to pbs in fiscal year ended june 30, 2017 consist of funding to support pbs' great performances arts programming and the indies arts festival promoting original online content; support of kids learning analytics; support of the pittsburgh kids community outreach program; support of masterpiece programming and support of news programming. Grants to pbs in the fiscal year ended june 30, 2016 consist of funding to support pbs' great performances arts programming and the indies arts festival promoting original online content; to support the pbs scientific series the brain, with dr. David eagleman; to create online programs featuring the work of macarthur fellows in support of pbs learningmedia and digital studios content development; to support the pbs learningmedia core learning project and to continue news and public affairs program development.
