El Taller was once an amazing, sort of home-made place where a wide variety of Latin American cultural events took place. They also offer good Spanish classes. The only thing about it that used to bother me was that the Director seemed really stoned almost all the time (you could smell pot on his breath), and it seemed like there were issues with the administrative structure. I knew two women who used to work there and did a lot of fundraising and basically got paid almost nothing for their work. Now you look at the group's website and they're like completely invisible, like they were never there. The director seems to be a bit of an ego-maniac. But some good programs,
