I've been associated with HavServe Volunteer Service Network for 10 years, first as a volunteer and then as a board member. I was so impressed with the integrity and devotion of the people involved with this all-volunteer organization, that I decided to contribute in whatever ways I can. I've seen the people of the area served by HavServe flourish and the fate of the children at HavServe International Academy turn around, from one of hopelessness to one of HOPE.
Thank you for creating and leading this volunteer network helping in Haiti. This non-profit has made a difference in the lives of both young and old regardless of economic position. We are thrilled to be able to support HavServe and look forward to being able to go in-person at a future date,

I've been working with HavServe for ten years, first as a volunteer, and then as a board member. The quality and results of the work HavServe is doing is what has inspired me to give my time and energy to this organization. I see the difference it's making in the lives of the villagers, and especially the children. HavServe is providing an education and hope, two commodities that go hand in hand. The people are learning skills that will lead to self-sufficiency and a better future. Some of the most dedicated people I've ever met are working with this all-volunteer organization.
My teacher, Ms. Espinel is a board member for HavServe and if she would give her time to it, it’s a worthwhile cause.
Havserve provides a wonderful service to the public and helps so many in need ! It provides a wonderful space to allow people to have the opportunity to help, it truly is a great network.
HavServe has such a great, devoted team that truly focuses on creating a positive environment at HavServe International Academy! They have a huge impact on the community centered around the school and help them in all aspects of their life even beyond education, preparing them to be well-rounded people in the future.
We are trying to help the small school in Haiti. It is in a rual area and it holds kids from Pre-K to 5th grade. The kids are taught to be self-sufficient with cooking classes. With the help of others we are trying to make it a safe school of earthquakes so these kids can continue to grow.
This a great organization trying very hard to change lives in Haiti now and in the future through education!

Incredible organization that supports women and children in Lebrun, Haiti. It provides education, nutritional support, employment, job training and other essential services. A wonderful grass-roots initiative proving the impact of partnering with local communities to create a thriving environment.
In July 2015, I had the opportunity to see a group of HavServe volunteers in action, serving children and their families during Summer camp activities, in Corail-Lebrun, Miragoane Haiti. After a brief conversation with the CEO, Carline Brice-Mesilus, I realized that I needed to join the group of volunteers. I am captivated by the mission of Havserve and the activities implemented on the ground in order to reach their goals. For example, HavServe offers an opportunity to everyone to serve. Who has nothing? Everybody has something! Therefore, each person can serve. The other aspect is the empowerment of the local community. HavServe does not create dependency on foreign aids. The beneficiaries are considered as partners. HavServe is a contributor to the local development, as indicated by this phrase from their mission statement, "...community members will be inspired, motivated, and equipped to act on their own behalf to improve their lives and those of their children and families".
The name of this organization clearly describes its purpose: those who Have Serve. Carline and her team work tirelessly to provide services and humanitarian aid to children and families in Haiti. Including youth services, a summer camp, early childhood education, sustainable gardens, and much more. The organization is motivated by love and genuine desire to create positive change!
I discovered HavServe through the UN’s Online Volunteering platform in December 2015. Although the first project I got involved in was supposed to be a one-time assignment, I become so inspired by the work that HavServe was doing, that today, after six years, I am still volunteering with HavServe team! After all those years volunteering with HavServe team I'm still inspired and committed to making the world a better place, especially now that we are facing so many challenges during these uncertain times gives me more strentght and inspiration to continue using my skills as a graphic designer, applying the concept of "design for good" to organizations that are promoting the social change the communities needs like HavServe Volunteer Service Network!

It is always inspiring to work with a team committed to making the world a better place.
I recently joined HavServe as a board member, but I have been following their work in Haiti for years. I could not be happier to support the efforts of such a wonderful organization. HavServe is not only inspiring but also an exceptional example that a lot can be done with love and commitment.
What a wonderful organization doing wonderful things. I had the opportunity to create and implement a First Aid Training program and visit Lebrun Village myself. I cannot say enough about HavServe and all the amazing this they provide. This isn't "charity," it's community building, team building, individual building.
I cannot wait to go back!
As a high school student wanting to make a difference, I found in Havserve an effective organization close to the most needed people in Haiti. With Havserve, I was able to identify six of the most vulnerable families in the village of Lebrun and provide them food, hygiene products, and other necessities for a whole year. Along with feeding the families, they were also able to give the families training on how to properly use the funds. The results of this Network are very inspiring, from the number of families that have been fed to the pictures that Carline sends me— it makes me so proud to be a part of an organization that's so dedicated to improving the situation of Lebrun's families. Havserve is making a big difference, improving the lives of the most vulnerable families and children in Lebrun with little resources but with a huge desire to bring a better quality of life, education, and opportunities for families in extreme poverty. The six families are only the beginning, I will continue supporting Carline because these results are flourishing hope in the lives of Haitian families.
When we met Carline and learned about all the amazing work she is leading in Haiti, we immediately wanted to be involved. We are so grateful to be able to support the education of these precious children, their families and the community. This is a nonprofit that takes donations straight to the children and community they are serving. We are so thankful for the opportunity to join in this work and hope to go some day.
My first contact with Carline Brice was exactly 12 years ago when Haiti was hit hard by the 2010 earthquake that devastated the country. I helped organize a school supply drive in our community to benefit the children who were on the streets during that time.
I followed the creation of HavServe. I saw pictures of the volunteers teaching the people how to open roads. Little by little this organization with the help of generous donors and great enthusiastic and selfless volunteers are making a tremendous difference in the lives of people in Haiti. They are not only honest to their core but genuinely kind people with the sole purpose to serve God by caring for the less fortunate in Haiti.
I've been with Havserve from the beginning. I watched this charity grow from a hope to an idea to a real mission to bring something to people who would otherwise go wanting. It's so hard to trust that those who work under the banner of charity are true to their name, but I am proud to pledge that Havserve is true to its mission. I encourage anyone who truly wants to explore the depth of development in Haiti to volunteer. It's an experience that will open your mind, heart and soul to a beautiful people and a beautiful country. I can't wait to see it grow and gain the recognition and support it truly deserves! #ifyouhaveyouserve
Havserve is an exceptional nonprofit. Its personal is extremely invested into making the community thrive. Havserve is always first to response whenever Haiti is in need. As a donor I’m happy to see the funds actual go directly into the community and it reinsures me that the Haitian people have great supporters within Havserve
It was wonderful to see such commitment to education. It is truly a community effort. My experience was please and safe, I would definitely go on another trip.
I was introduced to Havserve as I was spondored on behalf of my university to work with a non for profit in Haiti. I was thrilled to see the impact Havserve has had on the village in miragoâne lebrún; from the summer children's camps to the women's micro-finance program, to the developing jobs within the community from the new elementary school set to open in September 2018. It was a pleasure to work along the program's director Carline Bruce, and the local volunteers from Port au Prince and Cap Haitien. I would highly recommend this non for profit to anyone looking to work in Haiti.
Joining HavServe’s team of volunteers has been an amazing experience! I love that HavServe offers the opportunity to volunteer remotely, and it’s inspiring to see such a committed group of people from all over the world dedicating their time and skills to a cause they believe in. The team is extremely supportive and hard-working! Volunteering with HavServe has been an invaluable experience for my own career and personal development, and I look forward to continue working with such an awesome team!
A committed team that is always positive and knows exactly what they're doing. HavServe is making a big difference in people's lives and it is an honor to have worked closely with the team.
I have had the pleasure of working directly with the Havserve project team over the past couple months and it has been an absolute pleasure. Carline and her project team, which includes Catalina Verna and Cesar Perri did an excellent job with the implementation effort. The team was always available, hard working, meticulous and very collaborative. I think one of the things that I admire most is the team’s ability to effectively manage their tasks remotely.
Working remotely with HavServe has been rewarding and fulfilling. The organization is filled with dedicated, passionate, and caring individuals with huge hearts. In the last they've been extremely supportive of the work I've done and the encouragement has come a long way. For all prospective HavServe members -- I would highly recommend volunteering with this organization.
Volunteering with HavServe has been the most rewarding moments in my life. This is a very uplifting, empowering organization. The work they do in Haiti is just amazing and commendable. I am having a great time volunteering my time with HavServe and I hope many more people come and join this organization.
Review from Guidestar
I along with eight other international volunteers served the children of Haiti at HavServe's summer camp July 2016. The staff treated me with respect. The food was very good. The living condition was very comfortable. The staff took care to protect me and keep me from harm. My experience this summer with HavServe was very positive and memorable.
If you seek an adventure of a lifetime without actually feeling like you've got to conquer the world alone, then HavServe might just be the perfect opportunity for you.
By the end of my senior year of high school, my friend and I had long contemplated a journey to a place where we could experience life in a completely different world. Little did we know what a tiny village in Haiti, Lebrun, had in place for us.
From the craziness that they call "driving" to the 500 smiles you see every day at camp you can't help but fall in love with the tiny country typically known as no more than beach resorts and a fatal 2010 earthquake.
With the support of the welcoming, caring, and ambitious volunteers at HavServe, you feel quite at ease in a place that is remarkably different from what we call "home". In my case, HavServe had taught me to appreciate the simplicity of the slow-paced lifestyle that is not busied with technology filled with Facebook and Snapchat but rather an ultimate frisbee game with the locals. HavServe had taught me to selflessly give as much as I can to a community that has the potential to thrive independently. Most importantly, HavServe had taught to me work with faith in my peers, myself, and the leaders in Haiti in order to achieve what might seem unimaginable because quite frankly, there are leaders in every country and they are more capable than the world knows.
I am proud to say I was a part of HavServe, a team that welcomed me with open arms because even when I didn't believe it, they told me that I Have more than I know, and should Serve what I can. There is no doubt in my mind that this opportunity fulfilled that life experience that we were looking for.
Thank you HavServe.
I felt compelled to go to Haiti after seeing images of the devastation of the 2010 Earthquake. I finally had the chance to volunteer with a grass-roots nonprofit called HaveServe operating on a shoestring budget in the community of Lebrun. This tiny organization was bringing hope, food, education and medical care to this remote village. I had the opportunity to work in a free summer camp organized by HavServe that provides an incredible, fun and educational experience to more than 400 children. In addition, I ran 2 women's empowerment workshops as part of HavServe's microlending program. These people live in the most difficult of conditions - no electricity, no running water, no sanitation, no government services and little to no chance of escaping extreme poverty but they hope and dream about a brighter future and HavServe is the only organization helping them. Now back in the U.S., I am trying to secure corporate sponsors and other backers to help fund HavServe's efforts. We have already received donations of laptops and tablets to create a computer lab. If we win this contest, we will buy a solar generator to power it.

I had the opportunity to go to Haiti in August 2015 to volunteer with HavServe. It was a life-changing experience. The founder, Carline Brice, and her local and international staff were incredibly helpful. HavServe is working in the remote village of Lebrun and has a variety of programs. I was able to participate in a camp serving approximately 350 children in the region as well as conduct business workshops for women in the microloan program. You can see the benefits of HavServe in this community on a daily basis. They are supporting children, families, schools and the general community. It was a warm and welcoming environment and everyone involved is there for completely altruistic reasons. Haiti is a difficult and sometimes dangerous environment but being there with HavServe makes you feel safe and part of a community.
I have supported Havserve from its early days and will continue to do so. I was helpful in getting the organization exemption status in order to move forward with its great work. Its founder is dedicated to its cause and will need your help. So please support Haveserve.
There is nothing more rewarding than the feeling of volunteering for worthy cause and have the satisfaction to see your efforts produce some positive results. This is what HavServe, a 100% volunteer organization has been doing in the small community of Lebrun Miragoâne (Haiti) a few hours from Port-au-Prince. HavServe is dealing there with a community school with many volunteers providing education to primary schoolers, Thos volunteers are of different nationalities and there are 52 Haitian teachers devoting their time to the full development of the kids. HavServe activities are financed by your tax-free contributions and you can visit their website to have an idea of what it has been doing. It is in urgent needs of more contributions. By the way, save the date: January 16, 2016, it will hold is annual Gala at Veterans Plaza in Silver Spring, Md. You will have the opportunity to see, meet and hear those responsible for making these kids' lives better. Your tax-deductible dollar will go a long way toward paying a teacher's salary, provide a full education to these kids, or help organize a summer camp like the one that took place this summer when nearly 500 hundred kids enjoy a full month of all kinds of activity, both recreational and educational, as well as 3 meals a day.

When Carline Brice, the founder of HavServe, told me over a year ago about the plight of the School in Lebrun, I told my wife about it and we decided to have a fundraiser in our own residence, so that the construction of the school could be finished. I have been involved with HavServe since and I have been sponsoring 2 teachers so that they can continue serving the kids and have a little steady income to take care of their own families. It is quite amazing to see how much the organization has accomplished and plans to accomplish with a 100% volunteer staff. Every penny goes to helping and that is why the work is so rewarding! There is so much to do, yet so much to be satisfied about: education, the kids learning; the gardening project; the computer lab; the environment, the food program for the kids etc etc. All this requiring more financial help and most important, help that will not go to waste or end up in someone's pocket. That is HavServe Volunteer Service Network!

I am what you call a Royal Patron of HAVSERVE and been involved since this NGO began operations in Haiti. I am proud of the work they have done to improve the lives of Haitians especially the children, they are to be congratulated. Bravo to Carline Brice their Founder!
I will never be able to put in words what a volunteer experience like this can do for you. For sure when you first join any organization you are certain of your desire to help others. But you cannot anticipate how the whole experience will end up helping you.
In a few words: It is a life changing experience.
In 2011 my husband and I headed to the village of Lebrun (Haiti) for the first time to help with the Soccer as Tool for Development Program, HavServe. It was a year after the Earthquake and since it had hit Haiti we knew we wanted to be able to help. When this opportunity finally came to us, we couldn’t say no…
In 2014 we were blessed enough to go back to Lebrun with a bigger team of friends to continue the work. How amazing was to see and to hear how much HavServe had done for the village in only 3 years. So many kids back to school, villagers empowered with new knowledge, so many projects taking their first steps…
People think of Haiti as being the worst place in the World. When I came back from there, both times I had friends asking me: “How is it there? Is it really bad?”. That’s the image people have in their heads. Honestly, my answer is NO. Of course, it is a very poor country and there is so much to be done… But I can also tell you that the Haitian people are the most amazing people I ever met. They are happy and loving. Their smiles fill the air. And it is for this people that we volunteer our time. It is our job to inspire them do more, be better, dream higher… to help them become the best they can be. They deserve it!
Change is made day by day. And it is happening in Lebrun (with a lot of work and help). I am proud to say I am part of this team, this family, this change.
Being able to bring smiles and hope to people is more than I could ever dream of. And being able to laugh and dream together with them is beyond any dream… I could never thank the beautiful people of Lebrun enough - You brought light to life. And my dear friend Carline Brice… I could never thank you enough for the opportunity and this whole experience. I hope you know how amazing you are. Keep up the good work! And let’s build our dream!
Becoming a part of the Havserve Family has been the most rewarding experience ever. I was invited to join this mission by my two close friends Guga and Gua, who have previously been to the village of Lebrun, Haiti to help the Soccer as a Tool for Development program.
Going to Haiti made me realize how beautiful the world is. As soon as we stepped outside the airport we were received with the biggest most genuine smile and hug I have ever encountered from a complete stranger. This stranger welcomed us to his country with arms wide open and even with a language barrier we were able to understand it all with his smile. The house and village were very safe and welcoming. Each person in the village greeted us and smiled. The kids were amazing and so full of life. I believe thisis a great program that will grow and help keep the kids in school through their love for soccer. Carline Rice has done an incredible job educating the adults and at making sure that this program run smoothly as it is.
Being there for 5 days to me was not enough time but in that short time we made new friends, learned a bit about the culture and language and opened our eyes as to all the things we can do to help the program become even more successful. I am looking forward to planning the next trip and to continue the quest for the Dream Field for the kids of Lebrun.
I always wanted to do volunteer work, but never had the right opportunity to do so. I guess there is a right time for everything, and the trip that our group made to the beautiful village of Lebrun Haiti was the perfect time. We went there for Soccer as a tool for development. You go there thinking that you just going to help and you end up noticing that you get helped. You get to learn so much just by getting out of your comfort zone. People are great there. Amazing mountains with beautiful views. Would love to go back again to see all those smiles and feel the love from all the kids and adults from Lebrun.
We still got a long way to go. So if you think that you got enough love in your heart to share it, the people from Lebrun will be more than happy to receive all that love. And trust me this is absolutely not just about giving, you will bring back with you a life changing experience to tell everyone.
Carline Brice is the lady behind all this and I want thank you for being such an amazing person for dedicating so much for the people in Haiti awesome work with haveserv! Will always have our support!
Much Love!
Nick. ;)
No Words can describe how much an individual can gain when volunteering and working for a good cause.
It was my first ever trip to Haiti and the village of Lebrun. I first heard about the program through my best friend who had previously volunteered in 2011 after the Earthquake. His stories and passion made me want to join on the next trip. Me and four good friends embraced the opportunity and I think I can speak for all of us by saying it was better than we expected.
We were very well received by all people that work with the program and also by the locals.
The House we stayed in was very safe and pleasant.
We worked at the Soccer as a tool for development program, it was hard work but definitely rewarding.
Seeing the joy in the kids and coaches faces when we were there is indescribable.
Carline Brice leads a very well developed program and she will go our of her way to make it work and to make it successful.
We took long walks, we saw great sights, waterfalls.
I can say this was one of the top experiences I have had in my life.
I strongly recommend it.
In the end of August 2014, I took a group of friends to help me with The Soccer as a Tool for Development Program in Lebrun. It was my wife's and mine 2nd trip to Lebrun with Havserve, but the 1st for my friends. It had been 3 years since my first trip.
Starting at our arrival, we were so kindly embraced by the entire village. Adults and kids welcomed our arrival and were very helpful to make our stay as comfortable as possible.
The house where we stayed was very comfortable and safe. And the food was delicious.
The volunteer work is intense. Intense in a good way, because once you get to meet the kids and the people from Lebrun you want to help as much as possible. Lebrun people are strong and the women called my attention by how hard they work.
Carline Brice and all Havserve volunteers are doing a great job with the schools. Education has improved tremendously for the people in the village.
Soccer has also made a huge impact on the lives of the little ones and also on the coaches involved. Soccer teaches important necessary values, such as team work, self-stem, sportsmanship, and sense of achievement.
The work in Lebrun is a phenomenal experience. We go in to help, but we come back feeling helped. The experience always helps me grow and at this time, with my "team" of friends, the feeling was the same among them.
I strongly recommend. God bless the kids of Lebrun and the beautiful hard work that Carline Brice has been doing!!
VAMOS FRANCIA!
I traveled to Haiti last Thanksgiving and witnessed firsthand the great work that HavServe is doing in Lebrun. I was there only three full days but was able to visit every classroom in the area and meet the teachers sponsored by HavServe. I met their students. I sat in a meeting with the women that participate in the HavServe microfinance program. I led three computer workshops. I even attended a soccer match. All organized by HavServe.
If you are thinking about contributing and volunteering, I can attest to the fact that HavServe makes every cent count and every sweat drop worth your effort. My trip was exhausting but truly fulfilling and I would do it again anytime, every time I can.
Pictures are worth a thousand words, so check my trip pictures here: https://plus.google.com/photos/106058294908808591922/albums/5953351274928553265?authkey=CLCBgabx4ouZlAE
I researched donors and wrote proposals for in-kind donations to be distributed in Lebrun, Haiti, with HavServe Volunteer Service Network which is based in the United States.
I connected with Havserve because I was looking for motivated people wanting to make a difference.
Volunteering with Havserve was such a wonderful experience. I was able to feel, see and touch the boiling passion of the staff.
I met outstanding people full of compassion, love, motivation and dreams!! Only dreamers can work so hard to achieve their goals.
Changes are on the way..
In an age and context when it's easy for those with a heart for service to become cynical as they see millions of dollars spent on high-flying consultants purportedly working to help poor people, it is a very refreshing experience to be supporting a group whose work produces almost immediate, tangible and meaningful results. This is because HavServe’s mission is rooted in genuine commitment to serving and to making a real difference. HavServe has scored very high marks for turning loose the power of committed volunteers in the long-term goal to lift Haiti's children and rural communities out of poverty, through education and real opportunity – one village at a time.
I connected with Havserve in February 2012 amd have been to Lebrun Village, Haiti in June 2012 and February 2013. Being able to personally meet and build relationships with the people that Haveserve serves is an incredible blessing; working with a philosophy of doing sustainable projects and helping peoples help themselves; and having a strong leader in Carline all contribute to an organization that is making a difference. While all of the many projects Havserve undertakes are meaningful, I have an affinity for their sponsor a teacher program, which I feel is a great way to positively impact the community. By sponsoring one teacher, he/she can spend time in the classroom and impact 30 students. Solutions to Haiti's problems are going to take a generation... the children need a quality education. Education is the key. I am truly blessed to have found Havserve.
I HAVE SUPPORTED THIS NOT FOR PROFIT SINCE IT STARTED UP A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO AND WISH THEM WELL FOR MANY MORE YEARS TO COME. TO BE HONEST IT HAS DONE MORE FOR A SMALL COMMUNITY THAN ANY OF THE GLOBALCHARITIES WE KNOW ABOUT. THE COMMUNITY IS LEBRUN WHICH IS OVER 4 HOURS DRIVE SOUTH FROM PORT-au-PRINCE AND THE LADY GEERTRUIDE SCHOOL HAS NOW OVER 700 CHILDREN ATTENDING. THE SCHOOL SURVIVES ON THE GENEROSITY OF FRIENDS ALL OVER THE WORLD AND WELCOMES VOLUNTEERS AS MEMBERS OF THE TEACHING STAFF. NO FUNDING HAS BEEN RECEIVED FROM ANY INTER-GOVERNMENTAL ORGANISATION. THE COMMUNITY FORTUNATELY DIDN'T SUFFER THE RAVAGES OF THE 2010 EARTHQUAKE.

I first came into contact with Havserve's founder Carline Brice-Webb in March 2010
just before I visited Haiti on an official visit to assess the situation. I made a report for donors and my organisation Children of the World 2000 made some donations to the existing NGOs there like Rotary and the Red Cross. A lot was needed to be done, re-housing of the people, getting the schools back, putting in medical care units, building hospitals...Carline went to Haiti also and was shocked by what she had seen and vowed to devote her time and energy to re-build her beloved country, I think there are very few like her but the many owe so much to her thanks to her actions and I commend her for her duty to those who suffered.
I compel others to follow her example and be exemplary in service to others. Havserve is focusing on the community of Lebrun and are builidng the Lady Geertruide School, football club, centre of sporting excellence and have ambiitious plans for the future.
HavServe Volunteer Service Network is an extremely noble cause that is worthy of attention and participation. The Network's founder, Carline Brice is a friend and coworker who has taken on the ideal of country above self as a personal goal.
Following the January 12, 2010, earthquake that devastated her home country, Haiti, Carline was deeply moved by the events that followed the earthquake and the cry for help from all Haitians. She realized the need to mobilize people in the outlying villages and set her mind to bring much needed relief to the people of Lebrun in southwest Haiti. With little more than a commitment to see her fellow Haitians overcome dire straits and to bring education and development into Lebrun, she set about establishing HavServe and co-opting help from friends and coworkers, and their friends and coworkers.
What began as a small, grassroots effort is now burgeoning into a volunteer-led movement that has used the Internet to draw people from all over the globe, united in the desire to see change occur in Haiti and to bring it to fruition by their selfless dedication to serving that cause. HavServe lives fully up to its motto: if you have, you serve. It can only get better with time.
