I've been associated with HavServe Volunteer Service Network for 10 years, first as a volunteer and then as a board member. I was so impressed with the integrity and devotion of the people involved with this all-volunteer organization, that I decided to contribute in whatever ways I can. I've seen the people of the area served by HavServe flourish and the fate of the children at HavServe International Academy turn around, from one of hopelessness to one of HOPE.

I've been working with HavServe for ten years, first as a volunteer, and then as a board member. The quality and results of the work HavServe is doing is what has inspired me to give my time and energy to this organization. I see the difference it's making in the lives of the villagers, and especially the children. HavServe is providing an education and hope, two commodities that go hand in hand. The people are learning skills that will lead to self-sufficiency and a better future. Some of the most dedicated people I've ever met are working with this all-volunteer organization.

HavServe is getting at the root of the problem in Lebrun, Haiti by working to educate all the children of the village to prepare them for a better, more hopeful future My role is to bring information about sustainable vegetable gardening to both the adults and the children. Havserve is an all-volunteer organization and has done an amazing job of engaging the community to help itself.
