Mission: Our mission is to eliminate alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.
Programs: Workshops/ conferences/ seminars: during the past year, more than 5000 professional and family caregivers attended specialized workshops and seminars designed to provide caregivers with relevant information to confront any type of dementia diagnosis.
information and referral:the toll-free 24/7 helpline is staffed by knowledgable and caring professionals to provide essential information and a connection to local services. Over 2500 contacts were made during the past year.
care consultation:care consultants identify areas of need and provide assistance and psychosocial support through education about the disease, symptommanagement, problem solving, planning for future needs and links with resources particularly during transitional or crisis situations. Over 6000 client contacts were made by case management, counseling, reach and rci reach staff. Some clients also received financial assistance for in-home respite care and adult day care.
