We had a wonderful experience fostering through SavingHope! The process was so simple yet thorough and led to us adopting our sweet foster baby. The staff was very communicative and ensured that we had everything we needed, and more importantly that our dog was well taken care of. I’m so glad our first time fostering was with them and was such a success!

I can’t thank Saving Hope Animal Rescue enough for what they did for my dog. When I was out of options, they stepped in without hesitation. They took my dog in, got her the surgery she desperately needed, and truly saved her life. The compassion, care, and dedication they showed was beyond anything I ever expected. Thanks to them, she will recover and be adopted out. I will be forever grateful to this amazing organization. They are true heroes in the animal rescue world.

Love Saving Hope and all that they do to help animals, especially those most in need that would be the first to be overlooked in shelters and on the streets. They don’t shy away from medical cases and give those animals a fighting chance. All 4 of my furbabies are through Saving Hope, my husky and her babies were an hour from being euthanized, I decided to foster and ultimately kept mom and later on one of her pups. I can’t imagine life without them, and they wouldn’t be without Saving Hope advocating for them. I also have to mention, the adoption coordinators really made an effort to find the perfect fit that I was looking for when I wanted a small breed dog.

Whether you can foster, adopt, volunteer, donate laundry, food, or money there are so many opportunities to help this organization and they deserve it!

We adopted our pug Tutti from Saving Hope almost 4 years ago. She and her litter mates were being sold in a WalMart parking lot for $400 a puppy, the result of an “accidental litter.” Thank God SH got them to surrender the puppies to them on the condition that the owners allow them to spay and neuter the parents. This is the work they do….helping prevent more unwanted dogs that further contribute to the animal welfare crisis we are facing here in Texas. That is one of millions of stories I could share about Saving Hope and the good they do for the community!

Saving Hope has been so amazing to me in my roles as both adopter and a rescuer who volunteers her time humanely trapping scared or wounded dogs in need. As an adopter, I have known them to be passionate about finding the right fit for the dogs they adopt out and they continue to follow-up and care about them long after they have left the rescue and become family members in my home and the homes of my friends and relatives who have adopted from them. They never stop caring or following up on our rescues and I don’t know how they do it considering all of the others they continue to take Into their rescue. As a trapper, they have taken on several dogs that I have trapped, one even pregnant, when I have had NOWHERE for them to go. Saving Hope truly cares about the animals in need in Texas and I wish there were more rescues like theirs! So grateful for Saving Hope!!!!

Never, ever do any business with this organization. They are poorly organized, terrible at communicating, and are only interested in collecting the money. The animals are NOT their top priority. If that wasn't bad enough, they bully and harrass finders and even their vet office admitted to me that it's difficult to reach them or get them to respond in a timely manner. Stay all the way away from thus dumpster fire. There are lots of good rescue organizations. This one is a gamble at the very best, not just for the animals that are mistreated, but also for the humans that trust them. Beware!!

This rescue purposely did not tell me my dog was half cattle dog, likely knowing I would've made the right decision for me as a first time dog owner not to get him.

Had I known he was half cattle dog, I absolutely would not have gotten him.

I believe they kept this information hidden on purpose. All that he was described to me as was "Shepherd Mix". I don't think it's a coincidence they have nowhere to leave Google reviews, because they know they'd get plenty of bad ones.

Someone dumped 4 small dogs on a rural road I live on. They were scared and hid in woods for 2-3 days. I posted photos and no one ever responded. I have several rescue dogs and could not keep these sweet little dogs. I had someone who wanted 3 of them, but not the 4th. I contacted Saving Hope and they said they could take them all. I drove over and was met with several of the staff who obviously love what they do. Before I got back home, they sent me pictures of the babies. They had been bathed and vaccinated and had their own beds!!! This is a wonderful organization and bless the people who work and volunteer there.

Saving Hope Rescue connected us with our two fur babies, who have truly completed our family. Their mission to save as many lives as possible brought Dakota into our lives in 2021, and just this past month, we welcomed Minnehaha. We are incredibly grateful to Saving Hope Rescue for the love and joy they’ve added to our home by bringing these wonderful companions into our lives.

In a world that can be cruel, where animals are often treated as disposable, Saving Hope Rescue stands as a true ray of hope for those who have endured the worst of humanity. This incredible organization works tirelessly to help these fur babies heal and forget the trauma of their past lives. I am proud to support Saving Hope Rescue and their efforts to give these animals the love, care, and second chances they deserve.

I am a family member of someone who has adopted but eventually had to return the pup. Sweet Rosie was adopted 3 and a half years ago. When she was adopted, she adjusted pretty well and we all loved her. She was treated like a child in this home. About a year into being adopted, Rosie because extremely aggressive towards the other dog in the home. She would just attack to attack. There were multiple vet visits stitching up injuries. Her parents tried absolutely everything. They also now have an 15 month old son and this was putting him in a dangerous situation. Again, they tried EVERYTHING for 2 and a half years to help Rosie. They were even suggested to euthanize her. They could not bring themselves to do that and finally chose to return her to this organization like the contract stated that was signed at adoption. This organization then shamed them on social media for returning Rosie. I will attach pictures but the organization even loved a comment that stated “ Hope those people that returned her don't have any children they'll be the next to go with evil people”. The amount of unprofessionalism and bullying that was allowed, encouraged and made on this social media post is unbelievable. I would hate to adopt from them with the sense of security that if the unthinkable were to happen, I would be able to bring her back to them and know she was safe, only to be bullied and shamed for doing what is safe or best for my child or other dogs in the home. I will attach the pics so that you can say they essentially accuse the previous owners of lying about the aggression. Also beware the post says she is kid/dog friendly. As I stated above, she is not. I pray that Rosie finds a great home with no other pets or kids.

I personally volunteer with Saving Hope Animal Rescue. I have been a volunteer for 5+ years.
Here is what will always be true- animal rescue is hard. It is exhausting, heart wrenching and frustrating a lot of the time. I work closely with the SHR team of fosters and volunteers, and despite the challenges of the rescue world, everyone involved in Saving Hope is trying their absolute best, and are in it for the dogs and cats 110%. This organization exists to save animals from the poor animal welfare conditions that us humans have inflicted in our communities. We all owe the rescue a little more patience and a lot more recognition for the tireless hours and heartbreaking events they endure. Numbers don’t lie, Saving Hope IS saving the lives of precious animals.

Please do your research before involving yourself with this “rescue”. The director is mainly focused on getting small breed breeder surrenders in order to showcase them at fundraisers as opposed to do any work to get dogs that have been sitting over a year in their care adopted. Look at the director’s lifestyle and then see if you really want to keep donating to this rescue.
Honestly it is not even about the money, but the complete lack of care of the dogs. If you read some of the previous reviews as well, you can see that fostering for them is a huge mistake as well. There is no communication from those who are on call to help supposedly to help 8am-4pm and they leave their fosters to pay costs out of pocket with no reimbursement.
I would also warn against taking any puppies from them if you have any other dogs. They do not vet them well and have sent a parvo positive puppy home to die with a foster without even mentioning to the foster that the puppy was having issues. It is the fosters who truly care about the dogs and those working for the rescue cannot even be bothered to respond to messages about these dogs’ health. This group is run by a nasty group of women who choose to be snarky to those who actually speak up and care. They go through volunteers due to mistreatment of them quicker then they get dogs actually adopted.
For what’s it’s worth, I have only seen the dog side of it which seems to be the problem area as most of the positive reviews of the rescue here come from those who have dealt with the cat side.

This rescue had a lengthy application that I promptly filled out. Only to hear back a couple days later with a response that made zero sense and did not at all apply to me. They claim I was declined because I would shelter a dog outside (never said that), I had other dogs in the home (never said that, and I do not), and because I had surrendered a dog in the past (I have never done that). It's almost as if they didn't even bother to read through my application at all before coming up with some fake nonsense just to decline. What a complete waste of my time. I will move on to a more reputable dog rescue. This one is SHADY and unprofessional.

I personally have been involved with this organization since the beginning and have not found any other organization that cares and gives back so much to the community. They are mostly volunteered and take on more than anyone else in the community. The bills yearly are over 1.4 million but they save over 3000 yearly. If anyone says otherwise they do not know them or have not been on property. It is sad that anyone could or would complain about a nonprofit doing so much for the community. Each person needs to do better. The city needs more help

This rescue is a joke. The way they raise money to fund Lauren’s lifestyle and drinking habits. She calls fosters, when she’s wasted and says some really awful things. They raise money for sick animals that mostly are never seen again. Not to mention how many dogs the “lose.” Ever wonder why the tag the really sick ones from shelter? To get more donations! This whole rescue is scam, with a pretty face. She’s used Laura, who lives out to state to threaten people and Lauren tries to get people fired if they talk the truth about Saving Hope. I wish there was an investigation about who Lauren really is. A little google on her and her husband should prove how little she manages money correctly. The big wig donations from FW billionaires should re- think their reputation when being afflicted with Lauren Anton. When this all comes out, as karma always does, this city is going to be in utter shock.

I have been a foster through this rescue and am torn on my feelings, but I think it’s fair to share my experience.

Like another former foster said, it can be very difficult and frustrating trying to get responses from your coordinators. Yes, they are volunteers (as are we.) And yes, everyone has lives, jobs, families, etc. However, the lack of support and response sends a loud message that “we don’t really care about you”. The snarky and self-involved response I read on this site by one such member reinforces that sentiment. Like he/she could have responded to a lot of people in the amount of time it took to write that angry novella. (I will also say that many of these volunteers are very young so lack of maturity might explain some of the communication issues).

For myself personally, I would not foster again through this organization with this current attitude/culture that I experienced. It’s not an easy job opening your hearts, homes, schedules, and often times pocketbooks to support, and it’s exhausting to do all of that and feel totally abandoned by the organization. I sadly can’t recommend any of my friends to foster through them either. You can’t pour from an empty cup, and there are a lot of rescues that will treat you better also needing foster volunteers, and the dogs don’t care what non-profit sponsors them.

That being said, I think that the organization has good intentions and truly wants to help animals. It’s a heartbreaking sector to be in. They do a massive amount of volume, which is probably why they struggle with disorganization and lack of response. They also don’t have needlessly strict guidelines for fosters and adopters (like some rescues do) that exclude a lot of good potential homes. I don’t personally believe there is anything suspect happening as suggested in some other comments- I think they just can’t keep up with everything they are committing to and have their priorities kind of wonky.

I do wish them luck because (regardless of me disagreeing with some of their methods) they are doing a lot and helping a lot of animals, but for my own mental health I won’t be involved. I also hope they will use feedback to improve.

Saving Hope Rescue allowed our family to heal and so, in a sense, they rescued me. We had to say goodbye to our sweet 14 1/2year old Westie on August 30th of this year. His name was Frosty, and we rescued him over 12 years ago. Imagine my surprise - and amazement - when I saw a solid white kitten, also named Frosty, on Saving Hope Rescue’s website. It was a match meant to be!! Frosty (cat) has now been with us almost 4 months and he has been a joy. Saving Hope made the adoption process seamless - I was impressed with the vetting process as it was obvious how much they care for their rescues. The foster families are also amazing - Frosty was in fantastic shape when we met him and our vet was pleased with his health, growth, etc. We ❤️Saving Hope Rescue!

We will be forever grateful to this wonderful rescue! They have saved so many lives!

This “rescue” needs its nonprofit status revoked, the director has pocketed millions and the co-director targets communities of color
It took me 2 months to see how this , how do they get away with it?
Please investigate this organization before more dogs end up dead due to neglect

My daughter saw where someone had posted a Great Dane in need on a local FB group that had been living a sad lonely life on a chain her entire life. She is young only a year old but in desperate need of a soft place to land. I reached out to Lauren @ Saving Hope and they sprang into action without hesitation to help this sweet girl get off the chain and the only terrible life she has known. They met me at the rescue to take her in. Luna was very scared but kept wagging her tail…she was even scared of the ceiling fan. They took their time with her….I know she is in great hands and will never have to endure the crap life someone decided to give her. She had no choice….speak up and be a voice for those who cannot speak for themselves. Thank you Saving Hope!

We adopted my daughter's emotional support cat through Saving Hope. They were so accommodating! We went and met about 15 cats in the homes of 4-5 different fosters in one afternoon so my daughter could meet them and really choose a kitty who would truly be emotionally supportive. She chose Kratos (now Winston) who had lost a paw but SH had nursed him back to health, and he does great even though he limps a little. He is the joy of her life, such a precious kitty! We couldn't actually take him home until two months after the adoption due to dorm regulations, but we paid for the adoption on the spot, and then the foster mom held him for us and sent us pictures and updates for the long 9 weeks while we waited to get to bring him home. We couldn't be happier and will always look at SH when adopting a pet in the future.

We learned of Saving Hop when a coworker of my wife talked about her foster dog and the puppy she had. We ended up adopting maddie (the black chi in my pics), was a simple and easy process done mostly through text message, online form and payment and she was ours.

We started to foster for them when we saw a post about a paralyzed Maltese that was stuck in boarding at the vet. yes, as some have posted as complaints, the foster is expected to take to medical appointments, however they worked with us on a close vet, food and supplies are all provided, etc. bonzo was adopted by another family who volunteers for SH and is loving life!

We fostered Roxi who had just had 3 baby chihuahua mixes. Was told by prior foster that she didnt like men and not good with other dogs near her or babies (we had 3 of our own chi at that time) and they quickly got along and Roxi was great with me (a male), we ended up adopting her and one of the babies.

Fostered several more dogs mostly ones with medical issues as we have a spot in our heart for chihuahuas in need. Smitty who is pictured has congestive heart failure and will likely be a hospice foster due to his multiple health issues. he is in a loving, healthy home where he can live the rest of his life to the fullest!

Also have another medical chi that was attacked by a dog and went weeks with out treatment. Shes a sweetheart but also appears to have multiple health issues were still working through with SH. and just as with Smitty, we will be here to provide a safe and loving home for her until she is adoptable.

Things can be chaotic and crazy in this type of nonprofit - I honestly believe everyone we have worked with has been respectable, helpful and care about the animals in their care. Thank you for all you guys do!

I have fostered a couple of times with Saving Hope and both times they were incredible! They have been the best rescue we have fostered for by far. They genuinely care about the dog's well-being, ensuring they are in the best environment and are healthy before adoption. They have so many dogs in their care, and they still have a great response turn-around time. Saving Hope works so hard for dogs in the community and we are thankful to be part of a small piece of this great mission.

We saw a post regarding a found chihuahua who had been bitten and we told them in the post we lost our dog like 3 yrs ago, we had her for 16 yrs, they asked us to privately message them we provided pictures and details they asked for and they stop communicating with us and deleted our comments and deleted the lost dog post, and have stop communicating with us. They have raised over $700 for her. All we wanted to know was where she was found and they refused to answer it.

This sweet girl wondered into my work pregnant after someone had most likely dumped her in a field. I contacted saving hope because i couldn’t take her home and my manager would not allow me to work with a dog in my office (even though I feel that it’s good for moral). Saving Hope had one of their volunteers out here within hours to pick her up and in the short interaction with the volunteer I knew she was going to a good home where she would be taken care of. Jazz, fka Merida, is my 3rd rescue pet. I have been a donor and follower of Saving Hope for several years, and follow their FB page showing their intakes. I wasn't especially looking for a new dog in January 2021, but I saw the photo of Jazz, and my heart did a little pitter patter. She had just been brought in and was clearly terrified. But there was that little something that made me think... maybe....I made arrangements to go see her and took my little dog, Phoenix for a meet and greet....Jazz was still terrified, and so new to the program she hadn't even been spayed yet. But I had made my decision, and after her spay (she still had her cone!), she came home forever. Saving Hope was so easy to work with, and I picked her up. She did really well in the car on the way home, even though it was probably only her 2nd or 3rd car ride (I was so eager to get her home, her foster didn't really have time to get to know her!). The adoption process was fast and easy, and several of my friends have adopted and/or fostered after they heard how easy the process was. Jazz has been a blessing to our family, and is sweet, funny, smart and fiercely protective of her adopted home and family. Thanks for all you do, Saving Hope!!!

Saving Hope Animal Rescue really goes above and beyond to save pets from kill shelters and find good and loving homes for each and every one. When I heard from a friend who donates regularly to this charity that they had rescued 19 dogs at once from a kill shelter, I looked at the animals on their website and immediately fell in love with Avalon! Lauren and Saving Hope moved heaven and earth to find a way to get Avalon from Texas to my farm in Virginia, and we are so thrilled to have her with us. We cannot praise Saving Hope enough for the extra love and effort that went into getting Avalon to us!

I needed assistance rehoming a 9 year old rat terrier mix, that I came into the care of 3 years ago. Her original owner needed help with her while she got through some medical issues. Unfortunately she never came back for her nor is she responding to any messages. Due to my military obligation I am transferring to NC and cannot take her with me. Saving Hope Animal Rescue not only contacted me saying they could help, but arranged for me to meet with one of their amazing volunteers at drop off. Within seconds of meeting the volunteer I felt safe, and so did my pup.

Sadly military transfers and inabilities to take our pets with us, is too common for alot of us.. It affects our family, friends and pets.

I am beyond grateful for your team for doing what they do everyday. They are the true heros, giving animals the love attention and forever homes their owners can no longer provide.

Thank you again Saving Hope Animal Rescue! I am forever grateful.

I have been waiting for years to adopt my own pepper and the time came for me to be able to welcome one into my home. I am drawn towards older, pit mixes as sometimes they get overlooked yet still have much love and joy to give.

Miss Luna wanted nothing to do with humans when I first met her, but she came home with me regardless. We got her bathed, fresh toys, and some good food. She opened up quickly with smiles and happiness that fills my heart up in return. She likes to wake me in the mornings nudging the side of the bed I sleep on with tail wagging and smiles and ready for the morning walk. I couldn't be happier with her by my side and me by hers. Thanking you, Lauren, and my friend Melisa for introducing me to Luna and thank you for this new joy in my life.

Fosters are used to do all the vet visits, rehab, and invest time, resources and most of TLC only to be overlooked when exorbitant adoption fees (they file as donations) to claim as non profit. This company is constantly asking for donations after posting sad stories , while they market for grants to line the owners pockets. Sad, deceitful and uses dogs and kind hearted people as pawns for greed. They are known to have questionable business ethics.

This organization will move heaven and earth to help the unwanted, unloved, abandoned and abused. We are family. Not only do we come together to help the animals, we love and support each other. There are so many success stories! Buddy was a sweet kitty surrendered to the shelter with a broken and horribly infected leg. Saving Hope stepped in, provided the surgery he needed, and I became his medical foster. He thrived in foster care. I am blessed that he chose me as his forever mom. I have been with Saving Hope a few years now and I can honestly say how proud I am to be a part of this organization! For those who feel this organization is less than favorable do not understand the true nature of rescue. Rescue is hard, it is ugly, it is heart wrenching and it is brutal! We are volunteers who sacrifice our own time, money, holidays, late nights, time away from family, emotional well being. We have jobs and families and personal obligations yet we do what it takes because we do it to save animals lives! We step up where so many are willing to turn a blind eye. It's easy to say words like "unprofessional" and "disorganized" when a response isnt made or made quick enough or if your experience didnt fit within the parameters for which you set. Not keeping in mind that someone may not be available because, once again we are volunteers and so much needs to be tended to thats way beyond your entitlement for a response. So unless you are willing to roll up your sleeves and knock on the door of someone who had a dog chained up for years, surviving thru extreme heat and cold, with little to no shelter, no access to clean water or even food to plead with them to let you take the dog. Or go to the shelter to pick up a dog that was used as bait for dog fighting or a cat that was set on fire for someone's amusement and then left for dead. Or the ones that were abandoned and dumped because they were no longer wanted or were too old. Their eyes showing you the devastation of having everything they know ripped away through no fault of their own, an animal that has shut down because their human failed them. Or even try to convince someone that their dog or cat does not want to be bred and we dont need more puppies and kittens to compete with others vying for the limited homes available and will likely end up euthanized. Unless you are willing to do that then please dont try to tear down the ones who are! Instead, aim your disappointment toward your local and state governments and demand change for better animal welfare! Even if it's for rescue reform! We need better laws to protect these innocent souls, stricter and enforceable consequences for those who abuse, neglect and abandon. We need to be better... for them! Rescue is not the cure, it's only a bandaid. Rescues exist because without them more animals would suffer and die. It takes people who are dedicated and willing to take the abuse from the uninformed because if not us then who?

I came to Saving Hope as a foster mom a little over one year ago. During that time I have had an opportunity to further my education and outreach within my community by partnering with Saving Hope, both as a volunteer foster and donor.

Everything that Saving Hope receives is used in it’s entirety to provide for the animals directly. It’s 100% volunteer based (No one is getting a padded pocket), and kitties are being saved every single day.

Having worked with several of their medical cases this past year, I’m thankful for their generosity to continue to save lives and for the generosity of our donors. In January I was thrilled when SH sent me to pull “one in most need” at the NFW shelter. Mosho came to SH from that pull Aprox 6 months FIV+ and a nasty drug resistant upper respiratory.. He’s been in the hospital a lot, but SH hasn’t given up and neither has Mosho. (Tuxedo kitty) Bert came (ginger) in that pull a senior kitty 11yrs, no teeth Fiv+ and recovering from upper respiratory.. He’s our resident teddy bear and has a future now because of SH. I’m always so thankful that SH works so hard to help find the perfect fit, our family foster fail Albus came to us from SH and he was struggling because he is deaf and not able to connect easily with other kitties, but magically he landed at my door - where my husband is also deaf and Albus fits right in.
To all of the SH volunteers - donors - and future volunteers- thank you! #IlovecatsandICannotlie

I have fostered for Saving Hope a few times and due to horrible communication and processes, I’ve stopped volunteering for them. Each time I’ve reached out to foster or they reached out to me, I explained that I can foster a pup that already has had all their vetting and don’t need any further vet appointments since I am unable to commit to that due to work schedule and transportation. Each time they got me a foster only finding out after I took them home that they need vetting. I tried reaching out to other volunteers that so transport only and never got a response. It was stressful and one of those times had to plead with them to find another foster. Their communication is so conflicting. I was in a group chat where I asked if my foster was good to go for posting for adoption. The founder/owner said yes but one of the coordinators said No, he still needs all his shots and chip. I was so irritated! I took care of the pup and successfully got him adopted but it was my last time with them. The owner is over her head and not competent in running this organization. They say they want to help animals but time and time again I’ve seen them post asking for a foster for help with a transport and all these people are responding saying they can help but no reply from them. Responders were even saying, I offered to help, no reply, do you still need someone and they never come back and close the conversation. It leaves people hanging.
Last straw for me was actually recent when a puppy was dumped out where I live. I took him in, tried to find the owners and didn’t so reached out to SH asking if they can help find a foster. Nobody from the organization responded except 3 days later and it was just to tag someone in the comments. And the kicker, I saw a couple posts after mine with a similar situation and they jumped in to help them. So luckily I know someone who has connections to another rescue, Allie’s Haven, and they immediately set me up with a coordinator to take the puppy. All within 24 hours of contacting them. That is what a good rescue does. They are now my go to rescue. SH, please fix your communication and get better staffing. You definitely don’t practice what you preach.

I can’t say enough about Saving Hope. They are tireless on their mission to save and rehabilitate every animal that comes into their care. When they heard about a dog in South Texas that had given birth to 12 puppies under an abandoned house, and had been under the house for 5 weeks, with a freeze approaching, they jumped into action. Sedona and her 12 puppies came into the care of Saving Hope and their lives were changed forever. I volunteered to foster Sedona and a dog team was formed to oversee her care. When she came to me, she was severely emaciated after heroically feeding her 12 puppies for 5 weeks, she weighed 24 lbs. This mama needed some rest! She spent the first 3 weeks sleeping, eating and overcoming her fear of people. Her team arranged her spay, her heartworm treatment and were available to answer any question this newbie had, as well as to cheer on Sedona as she progressed. Keep in mind they have hundreds and hundreds of animals they are caring for. Laurie, who is at the Saving Hope house everyday, is a beautiful angel. She pulled food, medication and anything else that was needed and had it ready for me to pick up. When we realized that Sedona had broken many of her teeth, possibly chewing a chain, Laurie put put out extra soft treats for me to pick up.
Sedona is now recovering from her heartworm treatment and has gained 26 lbs! I look forward to seeing her live her absolute best life. Thank you Lauren Anton Meekins and Saving Hope!

I have never had a better experience working with a nonprofit. I reached out to this non profit back in October of 2021 to see if I could get a stray and friendly cat some help. She appeared to be pregnant and after they agreed to assist her and her babies and I took her inside it was quite a parent she was pregnant. Mama Saturn ended up having six babies, aptly named after Saturn's moons Pandora, Atlas, Rhea, Prometheus, Helene, and Calypso. They have done a wonderful job caring for the kittens and Mama, as well as getting them all of their proper shots and vet appointments for spays/neutering. I'm so thankful to have been able to work with this non-profit, and I'm very confident in their abilities to help me care for any other strays that I may find. Huge shout out to Stephanie as well who is a volunteer with this non-profit and has gone above and beyond to get the proper care to these kittens and mama when needed when my schedule could not allow.

I have been fostering for Saving Hope for over a year. Saving Hope is a local independent rescue organization but they save more at-risk animals than the large DFW-based rescue organizations with fancy facilities, staff veterinarians and city/state funding. The members of leadership with Saving Hope are dedicated to improving animal welfare in the state of Texas and go to impressive lengths every day to ensure no cat or dog is left behind. Saving Hope helps struggling rural municipal shelters that other rescue organizations ignore. Saving Hope also helps sick and injured animals when the large rescue organizations with multi-million dollar annual budgets refuse to assist. They are a true ally to vulnerable animals in Texas shelters and communities. I’m proud to be associated with such a truly admirable organization.

There are a lot of rescues around, and even more dedicated and passionate volunteers who make up those rescues. I've been involved in the rescue world for about 4 years and a foster for Saving Hope for a little over a year. In that time, I've seen first-hand the care and willingness to save every life that is lucky enough to become a member of Saving Hope. No challenge is to small or big - they are all tackled with grace and determination.

The last 48 hours have shown me and our community just how far their dedication goes.
On Sunday Saving Hope was approached by an individual who had a friend's family member take their own life - leaving behind 30 cats and kittens. Needless to say, the family was devastated and at a loss as to what to do with the much loved and well cared for fur-babies that were left behind. The family friend had reached out to Saving Hope asking if we might take a few - so that not all would have to go to the shelter. Saving Hope didn't blink an eye - "We'll take all 30"!
The Cat Coordinator sent out the "CAT SIGNAL" and within a matter of hours we had a plan and fosters lined up for all of the cats. These loved babies had experienced their own trauma and our team treated the humans and the cats with dignity, compassion and support.
When all the babies were identified, and sent off to the fosters, our team assured the family that we weren't abandoning them - we would provide updates on when the kittens were adopted - pictures would be sent and updates from fosters (there was a pregnant mom and they wanted to learn about her babies), and that if they were in need of assistance for their remaining cats and dogs Saving Hope would be here to support however they needed us.

Yes, rescue is hard and despite the emotions of the situation I was so proud to be a part of this caring, loving, determined organization.
There are angels among us - and they are rescuers - and this group is absolutely amazing - if you've ever considers fostering - please join us - if you love animals but can't foster - please consider making a donation - Saving Hope didn't stop to think about how they would pacy for the vetting and care of 30 additional babies - They just DID IT

I have fostered for and adopted from several great organizations, but Saving Hope Rescue is my favorite. In an all volunteer organization, teamwork and dedication are essential and Saving Hope is overflowing with hard working team members. Saving Hope has been there for animals picked from up other shelters who could not handle the medical cases - from accidents to illnesses, Saving Hope has rehabilitated broken pelvises, neurological diseases, socialization issues, and all the common illnesses and parasites animals suffer from being outside or neglected. They have come to the rescue for families who have lost a loved one who had pets that the family was simply unable to care for in their current situation, from kittens to seniors who lost their one family member and need a home for their golden years. The big freeze in Texas in 2021 had phones ringing off the wall for Saving Hope with callers asking for help with outside cats. Many needed medical attention, many were feral and needed to be trapped and other had been left behind by neglectful owners who moved and neighbors had been putting food and water out for them. Every foster home was full and it was a challenge adding additional cats who needed to be quarantined, after catching them in the cold days and nights that preceded the big freeze. Fosters with broken pipes, no water and power and no heat were helped by other fosters who delivered fire wood, water jugs, food, cat litter, cats and dogs and whatever else was needed. Everyone worked hard to help each other and the animals. The weeks to come included healing wounds, acclimating animals to being indoors, treating parasites and getting them healthy and well adjusted to families and other animals. All but the most feral found loving homes. We have a few great fosters, who took on the longer term job of the most fearful feral cats. I have picked up animals coming into the safety of Saving Hope from the shelter and delivered some straight to the veterinarian for urgent care before they could go to medical foster homes. Most local shelters can only offer minimal care for these animals and when kept at the shelter too long the animals give up. It is so rewarding to see the light come back into their eyes with personal TLC and full medical care. The success stories just keep coming. I have fostered kittens for the shelter before and in order for them to be adopted, they have to be returned to the shelter and into confinement. With Saving Hope, potential adopters can come to the foster homes for a meet and greet with the animal. This is far less stressful for the animal and the adopter can take time to play and interact in a natural setting and see how they get along with other animals or children in a home setting. When adopted, they go straight from one home to their new home, eager to explore. As a foster/volunteer that makes it all worth while.
Saving Hope relies on donations, but is able to help volunteers with supplies and pay for all medical care. The team makes sure that every animal is vaccinated, spayed or neutered, healthy and ready to go to a new home. They are never pushed out to make room for more. Some rescues only take in animals that are easy to get adopted. Saving Hope will never leave one behind. Because of the open arms of Saving Hope, volunteers and foster homes are always needed. Saving Hope works with all fosters once approved to foster, even if they can only foster for a night at a time, or to foster while another foster needs to be away. In addition to foster, there are other volunteer opportunities, such as helping at the cat cafe, helping to manage supplies, coordinating and communicating and vetting potential fosters and adopters. If you only have a little time each week, you can still volunteer. You won’t find a more dedicated and very busy group!

My initial communication with the foster parent provided every indication that we would be able to adopt a dog as no other applicants were noted. She also commented she would notify an adoption coordinator to “look out for my application”.

With no communication or even a response for two weeks after submitting an application and donating money, we were told we would not be able to adopt the dog via a text message. No explanation was provided, no response to several inquiries. A conversation should be the only way to handle this situation.

Saving Hope Rescue is not a professional organization and we will not work with them again.

I don’t understand why they continually post via social media regarding available dogs/cats, and events, yet do not respond to any inquiries.

The organization appears unorganized, unprofessional, unethical, and not customer friendly.

I’m a foster/adopter and volunteer for Saving Hope for over 2 years. They’ve helped me when no one else would/could. The amount of dedication from this rescue and everyone involved is amazing. They fight the good fight everyday and are dedicated to every animal that comes in. I’ve seen the tears, pain, love and joy from this group. I’m eternally grateful for them.

I have been fostering for Saving Hope for over a year now and they are the most amazing people! From 2am conversations about concerns about my current fosters to getting to see the babies I've raised be carefully placed with loving forever homes, they are there for their fosters every step of the way with all the support you could ever ask for. One of my foster litters were found sick and alone, Saving Hope fought like hell along side me and all three of those beautiful babies now have loving families thanks to this rescue. I am very much looking forward to many more years of working with them to save lives and bring love.

I have been fostering for Saving Hope for 3 years and I couldnt be more proud to be a part of this great rescue! They go over and beyond for the animals in their care and have a good support system. Even getting involved with the community, advocating for animal welfare and supporting spay and neuter programs. Saving Hope is making the way to make Texas a better place for animals!

Saving Hope Rescue goes above and beyond for the animals they save. I have fostered for the cat division for almost 2 years. They never cease to amaze me with how far they will go to make sure their animals are taken care of. This is my Panluek survivor, River. She was hospitalized for two weeks and SURVIVED! All because Saving Hope never gave up on her. I see the volunteers pour their heart and souls into this rescue, and it makes me proud to be a small part of it.

Amazing work. I’ve adopted from and donated to this rescue group for many years. I value the work they do and admire their dedication. The rescuers, the fosters, the directors - all fully committed to improving the lives of our community’s abandoned animals. Highly recommend.

Saving Hope Rescue is very committed to saving animals. I cannot stop if I write down what's great about this rescue, if I only pick one thing it’s that they don't only give second chances to the rescued animals but they also give third chances to those who struggle with anxiety, lack of socializations and stresses by providing professional dog trainers. I love that they really make sure that the rescued animals will thrive at their forever home and that's what makes me keep committed with this rescue! They are absolutely amazing and I cannot thank them enough for what they do!

As a volunteer, foster, donor and proud owner of a Saving Hope puppy, I cannot say enough wonderful things about this organization! Saving Hope is constantly striving to improve and expand and never forgets to give back and support other shelters and rescues along the way. Saving and rescuing animals is never ending and sometimes can be brutal and devastating. The organization has only a couple of employees but a countless number of volunteers that just refuse to give up.

Saving Hope is a wonderful organization that truly helps animals in need. I am a current foster for Saving Hope and their commitment to saving animals is inspiring. Our last foster Malibu, came to us as a puppy so sick that the vet recommended euthanizing her. Saving Hope instead supported us to bring her to a specialist and numerous other vet visits. I am happy to say that she is not only thriving and loved in her forever home, but she has become a therapy dog. I can not express enough, my gratitude to Saving Hope and the commitment they have to animals in need.
