Katal put together an amazing showing at the Cuts to Medicaid protest! I am continually impressed by their work & would recommend it as a great organization to be involved with for anybody.
Katal is a GREAT organization doing incredible work in the fight to shut down Rikers. I particularly appreciate their focus on community organizing and inclusion of those that are directly impacted.
I was able to attend a screening of “Paint me a Road out of Here” at the Film Forum in NYC hosted by Katal.
The film was a perfect introduction to the Katal Center’s panel where staff members spoke alongside the film makers and artists featured, on the conditions of Rikers for individuals held there and the actions of the Rikers’ administration, linking audience members such as myself to direct actions to take. I appreciated the honesty of the panel and the genuine dedication that radiated off of the Katal speaker, as well as the organization’s ability to move quickly in response to the changing US administration and New York public leaders.
The Katal Center for Equity, Health and Justice is exceptional for its effective legislative advocacy, community organizing, canvassing and education on behalf of criminal justice reform. My three-year partnership with Senior Organizer Melanie Dominguez, Press Liaison Yonah Zeitz, Policy Fellow Ricky Forde and their colleagues through my work with the Brooklyn Heights Synagogue's Social Justice Committee launched with our securing passage of Less Is More, the New York State bail reform measure. Subsequent work with the Katal Center's campaign to close New York City's notorious Rikers Island prison complex (where 6000 unconstitutionally detained in deplorable conditions that include the abuse of solitary confinement) enables me to testify to the Katal Center's moral stance, dedication, and diligence. I have rallied with them outside City Hall and Federal Courts, testified with them at City Council hearings, and joined in their campaign's legislative lobbying through in-person sessions with local leaders and weekly phone canvassing to urge support for legislative measures. Katal staff, while pursuing their own actions, are exceptionally supportive of allies' efforts as manifest in frequent Community Conversations, including the Brooklyn Heights Library's recent hosting of Katal speakers. The group's strong bonds with Rikers survivors as well as with families of those still inside -- and Katal's exceptional long-term devotion to the cause of closing Rikers -- humbles me. I am proud to nominate the Katal Center for Equity, Health and Justice as I did last year for recognition as a GREAT NONPROFIT. Reach me directly should you need more (347-585-0646 or mmcqui2002@yahoo.com). Thanks for your attention.

The Katal Center for Equity, Health and Justice of Hartford, Connecticut and Brooklyn, New York is well known to me through its far-reaching work and concrete impacts in the criminal justice fields of bail reform and closing New York City's notorious Rikers Island jails where a long-standing humanitarian crisis exists. As a Brooklyn Heights Synagogue Social Justice Committee member I collaborate with the Katal team on special events such as an April 2023 "Conscience Call" evening for public readings from the just-published "Rikers: An Oral History" by journalists Graham Rayman and Reuven Blau. Katal's Director of Advocacy, Yonah McDonough, set the evening's productive and positive tone with his detailed campaign update. Senior Organizer Melanie Dominguez skillfully concluded the program with her workshop on "What have we learned? How can we use what we’ve learned?" Both modeled the positive change process that makes Katal effective and inspires others to unearth their own insights and prepare their own actions. The Katal Center, adept at coalition-building, works closely with elected officials as evidenced by its recruitment of Public Advocate Jumanne Williams, Comptroller Brad Lander, 14 City City Council Members and prominent judicial officials and research groups in support of a Federal Receivership for Rikers Island. The Katal Center presents public testimony on varied issues as needed. Above all, the Katal Center’s policy actions, forums, research and communication manifest the commitment that will ensure that our divided nation will both preserve and enhance our democracy. Thank you for your attention.
As a co-chair of my Synagogue's social justice committee, I have, over the last several years, participated in many of the Katal Center's criminal justice efforts, e.g., efforts regarding parole reform and the closure of Rikers. I find them to be an amazing and dedicated group of people who go out of their way to address the criminal justice issues that confront our City and State. They combine organizational skills about how best to activate our community with a strong knowledge of the core issues that underly the criminal justice issues that affect our community.
They've spoken at our Synagogue's Shabbat services about Rikers and were instrumental in getting many of our members involved and motivated to address this issue. We also worked with them in an effort to pass parole reform legislation -- an effort that motivated many of our members to reach out to our local legislators, even on the last day of the legislative season, to successfully get a parole reform bill passed at the closing moments of the legislative session. I still remember the high fives and congratulations we exchanged at that result as we watched our work lead to a good result. We look forward to continuing our work with the Katal Center and are grateful for all that they do.
Katal Center for Equity, Health and Justice has helped me help myself and communities all over NY. They truly care about there members, most importantly our communities as well! They helped me discover my voice, I learned to speak up and speak out. I learned to advocate, speak with our elected officials. In addition, they showed me a better person than what I'd been seeing in the mirror, I'm proud to be apart of the Katal family!
I’ve been interning with Katal for a month and so far I’ve been engaging in the grassroots work that I’ve been seeking as a community organizer MSW student. As soon as I was welcomed by the team, I was able to collaborate with them on the Shut Down Rikers Rally that took place on September 25th where we rallied outside the court on Foley Square to bring awareness to the need for an independent receivership to take over Rikers from the Department of Corrections due to the increase of violence and deaths that have happened under their watch during Mayor Adams’ administration. The people I’ve met here at Katal have been incredibly thoughtful and kind when bringing me into the fold and I’m really looking forward to continuing to work with Katal for the remainder of my final year in school and beyond.
I volunteered with Katal my sophomore year of college. They trained me to canvas in my town door knock, and phone bank. The employees who supported me were so passionate and caring. Many people I spoke to became connected in a wider conversation about criminal justice reform and organising.
Katal also helped me initiate my own organising, and supported me every step of the way.
I interned for the Katal Center this past summer, and that was a pivotal experience for me. Being able to aid where I could really helped me learn fundamental life lessons on community building and activism.
I learned about Katal when my boyfriend was incarcerated. We had heard about the new parole reform, Less Is More. I reached out and gradually became more involved because I agree with the things they are fighting for. I was able to help with the parole reform and I saw it through into existence and I have seen how it has helped so many. I also had the opportunity to speak to our assembly members at the capital and in the process
I have learned so many different things. I like so many appreciate the work Katal is doing and I am happy to show my support!
Katal is a great example of an organization that sticks to its values and prioritizes human connection while also remaining pragmatic and strategic. It lets communities speak for themselves, turning individuals into leaders and showing the power of regular people to fight for change and justice. They speak truth to power in an energizing and caring way.
Katal is an impressive, organized, and thoughtful organization committed to community and connection. I had a training with Katal for one-on-one meetings and I found it deeply engaging and grounded in human connection and mindfulness, with a dedication to empathy and pragmatism I haven't seen in many other community organizing trainings/workshops I've attended.
KATAL is indeed a much needed organization in our communities. As a senior, grandmother and involved resident I have been afforded the opportunity to observe, and get involved in this organization. KATAL is fighting for equity and justice in our Neighborhoods for all of our residents!
I applaud KATAL for working tirelessly to keep our communities informed, connected, and afforded the opportunities for all of us, despite our differences, to get involved and work towards CHANGE, to achieve fairness and justice for all our families in all communities!
Katal uses tenets of community organizing to bring people together and grow grassroots power. I was an intern during the summer of 2024 and learned many skills.
The Katal Center is committed to empowering communities to understand how laws are written and how they can change. Folks at Katal make this information accessible and equip community members to speak at rallies, co-lead meetings, contact elected officials, canvass neighborhoods, etc. They always come back to the central goals of cutting police and prison budgets, shutting down Rikers, and investing those funds back into housing, healthcare, education, and jobs to create real safety. I admire their leadership structure and capacity-building among members. My most memorable experience with Katal involved coordinating their visit to an elementary school to share their work with students who were studying anti-racism and wondering how it operates systemically in NY. The Katal team is always willing to explore new ways to connect with and empower our communities.
My experience with The Katal Center was truly impactful, both as a volunteer and on a personal level. My family members and friends have been directly affected by the disparities and injustices of the legal system, and I felt compelled to take action. Volunteering with Katal gave me the opportunity to channel that frustration into meaningful change.
Through their relentless efforts, the Less is More law was passed, which was a monumental step toward reform. The dedication of Katal and its members to fight for justice through the stories and lived experiences of those most affected was inspiring. It allowed me to give back to the community in ways I never thought possible.
I’m grateful for Katal's work and proud to have been a part of an organization that strives for justice, equality, and positive reform. Their commitment to uplifting voices and driving change is unwavering, and I highly recommend supporting or volunteering with them.
This summer, I interned for the Katal Center for Equity, Health, and Justice and had a wonderful experience as I was able to absorb so many organizing skills and deeply develop them, gaining much confidence and my ability. Organizing for Katal's #ShutRikers campaign, my experiences included canvassing across the city with knocking on thousands of doors and talking to community members about our campaign, as well as leaving thousands of door hangers in communities with information about the campaign, phone banking to reach out to constituents of multiple city council districts about the campaign, tabling at libraries across the city, and connecting with various youth organizers and representatives through one-on-ones. These skills were also further expanded on and discussed in wider team meetings (including the team operating in Connecticut!) on a regular basis. As a college student at Wesleyan University who has been immersed in student organizing in a rather quick matter, largely starting to organize this past spring semester, Katal's New York team has been incredibly supportive and encouraging of my development as an organizer and my intentions to take these abilities I've acquired to my campus in the fall for my student organizing to be more effective than ever, and the team and I are sure that the relationships we've cultivated as team members and organizers will continue to go on well into the future.
I really appreciate the deep organizing that Katal engages in and the space they create for community organizations with adjacent missions to come together to share ideas, initiatives and energies toward ending mass incarceration. They make room for all voices but prioritize those of the people most closely impacted, which is their strength.
I don’t know any other group like the Katal Center for Equity, Health and Justice of Hartford, Connecticut and Brooklyn, New York. Their relentless dedication to criminal justice reform and the tireless efforts towards changing our broken system speaks for itself. I am grateful for all the hard work you do and I am proud to support your efforts.
I love volunteering with Katal Center! Everyone on their team is so kind, they're strategic about the actions they take, and they're constantly coming up with new and creative ideas. They're also receptive to thoughts from everyone and eager to collaborate. I have had nothing but positive experience with Katal in the 3 years since I started working with them.

I'm a volunteer with Katal Center, and I love them! The leadership at Katal is so strategic and intentional about how they move. I feel like everything I've done with Katal has been meaningful work and a great use of my time. I'm so happy that I'm able to work with an organization that puts so much thought and care into the most effective ways to make a positive impact on communities and our criminal justice system.
During my summer internship at the Katal Center, a leading nonprofit dedicated to criminal justice reform, I was deeply impressed by the organization's unwavering commitment to enacting meaningful change within the justice system. The passionate team at Katal not only possess a profound understanding of the complexities inherent in the system but also consistently work with a solutions-driven approach. Their evidence-based initiatives, coupled with an inclusive approach that values diverse perspectives, position the Katal Center as a beacon of hope and progress in the fight for justice. Their work has undoubtedly left an indelible mark on me, and I believe they are making significant strides toward creating a more just and equitable society.
Katal’s team works hard every day to fight for justice and advocate for the community. I admire Katal’s passionate advocacy that always prioritizes and amplifies the voices of those who are impacted. Because of Katal’s dedication to closing Rikers Island and working on various issues, New York and Connecticut communities are transforming and becoming safer.
I was a highschool student who was doing research on mass incarceration and found this organization. I reached out to ask questions and they immediately replied and helped me with my project. When talking to the community organizer, I became interested in the work they do and participated in outreach efforts. Overall, this organization really fights for equity, health, and Justice for ALL. so thankful to have be connected with them.
Katal approached me after I created a small community bin outside my place of work and they enthusiastically wanted to help me expand my ideas to help the public. Without knowing me, they shared their resources and connections with me to help spread my mission to help the houseless around Connecticut. They have been nothing but supportive, lovely, and helpful for the few months I’ve known them. When I said I wanted to host an event for distributing harm reduction items, they went out of their way to make fliers for my event, as well as put the money up to feed people that attend the event. I can’t say enough good things about this organization. They are doing incredible things every day and still make time to help the people that have no resources on their own to make change happen. 10/10, incredible organization.
I worked this summer as an intern at the Katal Center and I cannot express enough how deeply important this organization is to our communities. Katal’s team is doing outreach in the community almost daily, and using the momentum around the fight to close Rikers to pressure our city officials into actualizing their promise of investing into our communities and decarcerating the jails. Their vision of public safety is centered around care and community, not cages and cops. I would highly encourage you to check them and their work out!
I have had great experiences with Katal. All of the staff are so knowledgeable and passionate and they have built a great network of community members. So awesome.
Katal and its employees seem to be powered by a fearless and fierce passion. Whenever I speak to anyone at Katal, they are eager to share the organization's goals and actions, and can provide excellent research and data to back up their positions. I am proud to support them as a monthly donor - it is easy to see how they take concrete steps towards their goals and that they truly believe in their mission. Their work is so important!
Great local org that does good work in the prison reform space. I am a donor and have been a cosponsor of their events in the past. I am looking forward to continuing working with them
I've attended a few of Katal's statewide calls and I'm consistently impressed with their organizing. They understand that locking people up makes us less safe, not more! Keep up the good work!
I'm an Intern with Katal and everything about this organization is amazing. This is the first truly community-centric organization I've worked with that focuses on building people power and a movement to end mass incarceration. The model of community organizing directly engages and empowers community members from all backgrounds to join our campaigns and help build the movement directly themselves. We especially focus on community members with firsthand lived experience with the criminal legal system. Katal is a fantastic organization and every day here is inspiring and informative.
I am proud to support Katal and their efforts to end mass incarceration. They are doing great work in NY and CT!
Katal is really putting in the work to make tangible change happen! They are committed to doing what it takes to make that a reality, and it shows in all the work they do.
Keep it up!
Katal is a phenomenal organization that does critical work in NY and CT! They agitate and organize on behalf of those who need it the most. Proud to know they're working in our communities.
I have seen the Katal center move forward on social justice issues , Less is More was a milestone piece of legislation . The work continues as I have written a piece of legislation that is making its rounds for an inmate release account that is revenue neutral, and provides a measure of release funds for men and woman being released who have served five or more years. Katal has expressed interest in assisting in the advancement of this legislation. Senator Kevin Thomas has the legislation being reviewed by counsel and Sen Jamal Bailey and Brooklyn D. A Eric Gonzalez have also expressed interest in this proposed change too Corrections Law. S. Germenis
I'm consistently impressed with the staff and Board members at Katal Center because of their dedication, drive, and focus on these critical issues. I'm so grateful to this organization for their work.

Katal is co-led by distinct but complementary Co-Directors that have worked tirelessly for decades in drug policy, developing strategies to end incarceration. The organization has been majority female and it is indicative of the collaborative leadership they utilize. Katal is focused on building broad reforms that are moved forward and developed by stakeholders across multiple organizations using both traditional lobbying strategies and innovative community organizing methodologies. They work locally, on the state level, and nationally as well as within European countries.
Katal is an incredible organization that is deeply committed to the work of strengthening the people, policies, institutions, and movements that advance equity, health, and justice for everyone. I have seen countless examples of them positively influencing the lives of the leaders they work with and creating real tangible results for the communities in which they work.
I've been impressed with Katal since I've known her. They're even more awesome to me now. #LessIsMore is an inportant step toward evolution and their program to teach the fundamentals of Community Organizing is another. I believe this sets future generations with a real chance to make a willful leap into the future. People say, Katal does. I've been a housing organizer since my late 20's. I've done some good work despite the micro & macro agressions. Often I've been more of a Cassandra in most places. I didn't realize how much healing I had to do until I met the people at Katal. People expected to bring my whole self to the work. They expect your best effort. High expectations work best as a strategy to keep the bar high. I'm grateful for them especially now as the assault on freedom of expression is also at risk. Now that our quantum web is at risk. I believe we'll make it through. Help them reach more, teach more and hire more. Aché
For us by us. That's what comes to mind when I think of Katal. From its humble beginnings, Katal has worked tirelessly to elevate the voices of marginalized communities through grassroots organizing, impacting policy, and movement building. From the fight to close Rikers to reforming parole, Katal has played a critical role in transforming lives.
Katal is an organization that has been to committed to health, equity, and justice since its inception. It has a strong organizing base and diverse members who are equipped to fight for justice based on their experiences. I appreciate their foci on #FreeThemAll and #CutShutINVEST to highlight important issues related to mass incarceration here in CT. As an organization, they are knowledgeable, welcoming, and inclusive, recognizing we all have a role to play in ending mass incarceration.
Katal lives up to its values from the individuals that organize for them all the way to the legislation they push. Their tactics are effective, broad, and informed by people with firsthand experience. The work is done by people who understand the extraordinary potential of a just and equitable world. I am grateful for their efforts and their successes, and look forward to continuing to support them.
I have been volunteering with Katal since April and these dedicated activists and organizers are a joy to work with and nothing less than inspiring. Katal's campaign to pass the parole reform #LessIsMoreNY bill and get it signed into law has been incredibly smart, focused, and unrelenting - even now, as the new law faces typical and disingenuous fear-mongering backlash. I love that Katal centers and amplifies the voices of the communities affected by the unfair systems that must be reformed. The work is founded on people’s stories and we hear directly from them at every opportunity. I've been to many of Katal's virtual meetings and in-person rallies and those times are always the highlight of my day. Virtually or in-person, their actions are always organized and imbued with contagious energy and kindness.
The Katal Organization is a very impressive and purposeful organization. The staff is dedicated and extremely knowledgeable about the issues and policies they work towards.
Katal is well connected and partners with respected and reputable Social and Criminal Justice Organizations throughout New York City and State. The League of Women Voters New York City was grateful to be included in Katal"s "working group" for the successful Less Is More campaign. The League of Women Voters New York State also signed on to Katal's effort for Parole Reform. We indeed learned an extraordinary amount about organizing and maneuvering to achieve the goal of Social Justice for all people. We look forward to joining Katal in future Social Justice initiatives.

I am a volunteer and volunteer organizer with several different groups that are working toward urgent reforms to our carceral system, and I have to say that Katal Center is a leading example of how to engage in leadership development, and very effective training for volunteers to make a meaningful impact on the legislative process. Whenever I come across an organization that is so politically saavy AND lives up to its ideals about grassroots movement-building, with both directly-impacted people and concerned citizens, I want to invest my precious time and energy with them. Katal is one of those organizations and I believe they must be championed and supported to continue having the resources and base that they can turn into concrete wins for a better future for everyone.
Katal is an amazing organization built from the ground up by an outstanding groups of leaders. With offices in NY & CT, Katal focuses on health, equity and justice and has already proven their ability to build power and develop leadership. Katal's work will change the world, especially through their criminal justice reform.
I am proud to have been a funding partner of Katal since it’s inception. There are many stand out things about their work, but one of the most critical
Is the depth of their commitment to advancing the collective strength of the organizing field in the states where they work. They always operate with an eye towards building collective power - and that includes building the capacity and leadership of other organizers - and organizations through efforts like the organizer roundtables. They have been an essential partner in our own efforts to advance youth led social change, and have a profound commitment to supporting the voice and leadership of young people alongside others to transform communities.
I am so grateful for all of the hard work and effort put forth by this organizing team. They make a distinct effort to involve all community members and offer support and resources as well!
Over the past four years, Katal has proven to be a national leader to end mass incarceration and the war on drug users. Their leadership cultivation efforts promote a healthier and safer today ... and tomorrow. We continue to be a fan from Denver and thank them for their hard work and dedication to all of our community members!!
Katal has worked tirelessly to close Rikers, to address the spread of COVID-19 among incarcerated persons, and much more. Their team members are engaged in the community and living their mission. This is an org of thoughtful and driven people doing crucially important work every day. Thank you, Katal!
Katal Center is dedicated to changing our broken systems such as criminal justice and healthcare. They work with the directly impacted, community, and worldwide organizations to foster change for right now and the future. Their work has closed jails in CT and NY along with drug policy reform at the local and legislative levels. Katal is a great organization.
Katal Center is a great organization run by two very dedicated and experienced people, who have committed their lives to empowering others to seek the change necessary to create a more equal and just society.
Katal is a community advocate and a collaborative partner. They are a joy to work with and truly know how to empower individuals in order to create healthy communities.
Katal is a non-profit that has demonstrated its seasoned ability to directly engage the communities they serve. During the past few years working with them, I've seen that they actively develop local community leaders and help to build relationships locally between Hartford neighborhoods which don't often engage with each other.
Katal's efforts have helped myself and neighbors to not only understand the legislative process but also how to be actively engaged in it as a unified body of empowered individuals.
As a student getting my Master's degree to practice in healthcare as a Physician Assistant I appreciate their focus on Health, Equity, and Justice.
Katal has helped to bring a lot of attention to the numerous determinants of health that affect people from our city. This work by Katal is encouraging because there are many medical educational institutions in our area who have refused to acknowledge the need for these conversations until Katal stepped in to help equip students with the skills to bring this discussion into their university space.
The Katal Center for Health Equity and Justice is an amazing organization that serves as a catalyst for change and power building. They center the voices of those affected by the issues addressed through community organizing. They walk the talk, " nothing for us without us". They are deeply imbedded and invested in the communities they serve and center the voices of people of color. Lorenzo and gabriel provide strong and strategic leadership.
I am proud to support this organization from its inception. They speak truth to power and teach others how to do the same.
You guys have already done so much to effect needed change, and you inspire me to keep working hard to bring about further change. Thank you!!!
Loving Katal and what it as an organization and they as a community stand for. I believe their work to end the war on drugs and to prevent accidental overdose will prevail!
Katal is doing inspiring work that directly impacts drug and criminal justice reform. With so many successes already, I have no doubt they will achieve their goal of ending the war on drugs and mass criminalization--and play a huge role in creating healthier communities. Katal is a powerful group of people, who are relentlessly hard working, and truly catalysts for social justice. It's exciting to feel the momentum gather around the projects and campaigns Katal moves forward with!
This team is doing amazing work throughout the Capital Region and the whole state of NY for that matter. From advocacy to community organizing, I believe Katal is having a direct impact on how policies are being formed and reformed. I am so grateful for Katal as they are paving the way with harm reduction principles in all of the work they do.
Keith Brown and entire Katal staff are doing groundbreaking work transforming communities in the areas of criminal justice, substance use harm reduction, civil and human rights. Katal is critical to the many reforms we need today, and will continue to need in the future. Thank you for your great work, Katal!
I'm biased, I've known gabriel for over half my life.
I'm also unbiased, Katal represents not only his accomplishments, but the whole staff's as well.
I'm also observant, I watched as Katal put together and participated in the movement to close Riker's, a massive undertaking for a fledgling nonprofit.
I'm also extremely analytical, based upon gabriel's success in creating a coalition to realign the movement to end the Rockefeller Drug Laws, I knew Katal's participation would lead to success.
I was also right to have such faith in Katal.
I'm sharing this experience so that you can enjoy being right too. Support Katal in their work, and be on the right side of social justice, but also of victory in movements against ancient leviathans of social regression.
One of the most strategic and effective organizations in the field. At this critical time, Katal is crucially needed.
Katal is outstanding. Their impact on drug policy and criminal justice reform shows, truly, that “a small group of committed individuals” can indeed make huge systematic changes.
This has been one of the most informative and effective organizations I have had the opportunity to participate with in regards to Bail reform and social injustice. I look forward to experiencing what Katal we do next!
It's absolutely crystal clear how the Katal team is so methodically dedicated, with unwavering accountability and commitment.
Katal is strategic, experienced, accountable, and they know how to win. They are an enormous asset to criminal justice reform in New York.
Since inception, Katal has provided such needed vision, movement building and on the ground support toward the root issues beneath the surface of mass incarceration. Their work is smart and easy to participate in. Props to the good work and good people of Katal!
Katal, my introduction was by happenstance. I was invited to a screening of a film that the invited guest was not able to attend. In that moment, I met Gabriel and I thought that, I was just meeting someone with a common interest in justice; criminal justice. I was there as a guest of author Donna Hylton. I, by chance, had Donna 's documentary "A walk To Freedom" on my iPhone and we screened it. In that time, Gabriel made a believer out of me; not just a believer but now an involved member of a movement. He explained to me the importance of personal involvement. In many ways, you can call it life-changing. I now see the disenfranchised with a different set of eyes. Now, my friend Donna Hylton, is a Katal Fellow and I could not have thought of a better choice. So if you choose to donate to a nonprofit, Katal, should be that choice. They are at the forefront of change and have a team of agents of change. Press donate and become an agent of change! I did.
As a community advocate, I have seen Keith Brown in action and his energy, motivation, and heart are just amazing.
Everybody at the Katal Center has been so wonderful to work with, they are all dedicated and passionate about creating change that would benefit all of us. It's really refreshing to see such a trailblazing organization care they way they do.
Having worked in the field for some years I have seen the excellent work being done and I continue to follow the groundbreaking, life changing and life saving work being done by the KATAL CENTER FOR HEALTH, EQUITY, AND JUSTICE.
Katal has years of experience fighting for criminal justice reform and are leaders in transforming policy that works for the greater good!
I love Katal Center! They are all amazing people to work with and they help elevate the work of others. Keith always makes our people feel loved, empowered and welcome. Precisely what we need when we are trying to save lives!
The folks at Katal really have their fingers on the pulse of modern social justice movements and the intersections of public policy that drive inequity. The organization is nimble, visible, and utilizes effective messaging. I appreciate the fact that leadership is reflective of our society, and I look forward to seeing what's next for the organization.
