This foundation is unprofessional and the worst I've ever came across. They use people's VULNERABILITIES & trust for their own image and make it less about taking more action when it comes to victims of online abuse. The founder is rude, unprofessional and by looking at some of the posts where she's been exposed multiple times by other victims of cyberbullying, it seems as if she might be encouraging the abuse. Something has to be done about obsessive online stalking and harassment. Instead of speaking highly on change.. Show it! The founder Mariska hargitays actions were the complete opposite of what you people are suppose to be standing for. You're either on the victims side or are you on the side of the predators ? I'm legit confused by this organization and you people seriously need a lawsuit against you because so many victims online should not have to complain that many times to you about taking action when it comes to online stalking and abuse. You people are not for victims

I started with the SVPA as a co-op, but after seeing the impact of their work firsthand, I decided to stay on as a volunteer. What keeps me here is watching the SVPA create real change despite enormous challenges. They led a 45 organization coalition demanding transparency on the Epstein Files, authored the DEFIANCE Act to give victims of AI-generated sexual abuse their first federal path to justice, and even developed SORVO, an original framework that redefines how we understand sexual violence at a systemic level. The SVPA doesn't just respond to the moment. It shapes it.

All they say the entire time is “we are here for you” “you’re not alone” “it will be ok” and when you’re in tears having a panic attack about your SA and you ask for trauma advice all they do is send you links to articles. They only provide sympathy. No experience for helping ppl work through trauma and a SA hotline should not be run by people that will not help people in crisis.

Male Survivor has been a life saver for me. It allowed me to express a pain I did not realize was controlling my life. It took time tor release my story and as I began to share I started to feel a weight lift off my shoulders. The journey was not linear. There was steps forward and then steps backwards. Encouragement from MS, therapist and those that stood with me I could regain my footing. This process was ongoing and there were many steps back. The site offers a nonjudgmental environment, as survivors have their own stories and experiences and understand the pain, the acting out, the struggle and accomplishments. Encouragement and open minds dominate the site. My journey is unique to me. It is my story and at MS I never felt it was being hijacked or denied. In the outside world there were those who denied my abuse and attempted to derail my healing. I learned from MS the importance of surrounding myself with open minded people with hearts, compassion and empathy.

I have been trying to receive help after realizing what domestic violence was and that I was actively in a lifetime relationship with one. In Febuary 2023 I called and due to that they p it me in a mental hospital said I was crazy. I had got identity fraud and hacked all my accounts followed with threats for knowing to much that I will end up dead or in jail. I have reached out to new hope I have been bombarded by 3 different court dates for the past two years I have reached out for help with advocacy and have just recently had a women named Brenda contact me she has not followed through with said call backs like stated. I have reached out multiple times during the week DURING WORK AND HAVE HEARD NOTHING.

Compassionate, nonjudgmental high quality health care. Providers kind and understanding. Staff friendly and committed to your wellness. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Volunteering with The Priceless Journey has been a beautiful, faith-stretching experience that continues to shape me in unexpected ways. While I don’t go into the jail weekly, each time God opens the door for us to enter, I know it’s by His perfect timing and each visit carries eternal weight.<br><br>When I step into that space, I carry with me the powerful truth of the gospel and the message of hope found in Jesus Christ. Sharing that hope with women who are often overlooked or forgotten by society is a sacred privilege. Through God’s Word, we remind them that they are not their past, not their mistakes, and certainly not without worth. We tell them the truth: that they are deeply loved, seen, and chosen by God.<br><br>What surprises me every time is how much I receive during those visits. Watching their hearts soften, seeing tears fall as truth breaks through shame and pain…it humbles me. It grows me. It reminds me that healing doesn’t happen in a vacuum; it often comes through obedience, compassion, and simply showing up when God calls.<br><br>This ministry continually calls me to trust God’s timing and sovereignty. Sometimes, the doors to the jail are closed for a season, and I’ve learned to pray, wait, and prepare. And when they reopen, I go with a heart full of anticipation for what God wants to do, not just in the women we minister to, but in me as well.<br><br>Bringing the gospel into the jail has deepened my understanding of grace, strengthened my dependence on the Holy Spirit, and expanded my view of what it means to be a vessel for God’s love. I may not be able to go often, but each moment inside is holy ground where Jesus shows up, healing begins, and hope is born again.<br>

The best resource I have discovered as a male survivor of sexual abuse. I have nothing but glowing things to say about their therapists, leadership, staff, and volunteers. <br> <br>I am so glad this organization exists. My relationships, anxiety, depression, and overall wellbeing is much stronger because of them. I hear from countless other men who have been through their programs that they quite literally would not be alive if it weren't for MenHealing and the community of support they found there.

The work Rafiki Mwema does is extremely important, and the way they do it is highly ethical. Traumatised children are supported using evidence-based therapy, in a safe environment, with the emphasis being on reintegrating them with their family and keeping them in school. <br><br>This is not an orphanage, so if you are worried about that kind of 'charity' in Kenya (which is totally fair enough), this is not the same at all. The staff work very hard to locate safe family members who can take care of the child on an ongoing basis, once they are ready to leave Rafiki Mwema. Also, other than the staff in Kenya (who are paid staff), almost the entire workforce in Australia is volunteering, so the overheads are very low and almost all donation money ends up at the right destination.

This organization is doing it right for the right reasons!

Greatest thrift shop in the Reno-Sparks area and the volunteers deserve a GREAT THANK YOU for all they do the keep the shop, organized, fair prices and are friendly to see smiles on their faces. This is hard work and look forward to shopping in my favorite shop; even though it is a distance from my home, it is worth the drive to shop. Looking forward to the addition to my shopping experience.<br>Happy New Year and Bless you for all you do for the community.

I have been affiliated with SACRED since its inception. I have witnessed the organization's growth and progress. A personal experience by SACRED founders, John & Carol Dattoma, has evolved into a beacon of light for others who have been exposed to the horror of sexual abuse. SACRED's unwavering commitment to these children and their families provides hope, promise and the necessary means to move forward with support, grace and dignity.

Went here after an abusive relationship, had a member of their staff pursue me romantically and ended up in a toxic relationship that was more damaging than the one I was seeking refuge from. Completely preyed upon my vulnerable emotional state and took advantage of me. Disgusting.

Terrible experience. Negligent. Unprofessional. Undertrained. Uncaring. Dismissive. Different rules for different clients.<br><br>I signed up for the waiting list after years of being encouraged to seek counseling there by someone who now feels the same way about them.<br><br>Never received an email confirmation—eventually received a phone call that was deeply invasive and personal. Inappropriately so. *Eventually* received another call from a young woman saying she’d call me back (again) at the beginning of the week to *schedule* an appointment.<br><br>Some three weeks later I contacted them on social media to see what was going on. Eventually, the young woman emailed me flippantly saying ‘oh sorry I forgot you, I had COVID’. Instinctually, I kind of questioned that — and shouldn’t someone else have been filling in? <br><br>Yet I felt some compassion because I have also been dealing with some rather serious health problems so we moved forward.<br><br>Unfortunately, with a twist of fate, I had to reschedule both of my initial appointments due to my own health flare ups. <br><br>With no warning, on the second one I was told I was dropped from the program because they had a two time cancellation policy.<br><br>Had they mentioned this policy to me — knowing already about my health issues? Nope. <br><br>Had they internally upheld the standard of behavior implied behind this policy — no, and they are getting paid.<br><br>I had been patient and understanding with them only to be totally discarded with no warning.<br><br>To boot, the person who referred me said she had no knowledge of this policy and has had no trouble rescheduling appointments—even same day for non-health reasons.<br><br>They keep telling me that they’re ’happy to refer me elsewhere’ but I have no insurance and am certainly not ready to navigate anything like this again anytime soon.<br><br>What is that even saying? Well, we don’t want you but maybe someone else will…??<br><br>At the end of the day, this is discrimination against someone with a documented disability. <br><br>So wrong on so many levels.

Raindrops Rising Foundation has a wonderful team behind them! Helping get victim assistance to who needs it most. Raindrops Rising Foundation is also a good foundation for people to educate themselves on Sexual assault and Sex trafficking and how you can help.

My best friend and I were at a party on campus, and it got pretty uncomfortable. A few drunk guys kept getting way too close, making weird comments about our clothes, and one of them even touched my friend. It was seriously creepy. Luckily, I had one of Verity’s magnets with the 24-hour helpline number on it. We decided to give them a call, and honestly, they were amazing. They gave us really helpful support and advice. Huge shoutout to Verity for being there when we needed them!

Elijah Rising is one of those companies that truly lives out what it believes. The company's culture reflects this; it is honest, hardworking, and passionate about ending human trafficking. It excels at raising awareness among the masses and equipping and training people to love and care for those who feel trapped. Elijah Rising is a trustworthy, excellent company.

I turned to Snap Network, because I needed to talk and share my story. It was difficult for me to come to grips, about being sexually abused by a Catholic Priest, I had to talk to someone, for the help I needed in understanding, and by reaching out to Snap Network, I was yet again shocked by reaching out to Snap Network, to find out that I wasn’t the only student who was sexually abused by a Priest. On our around 2008-2009 I contacted the DOJ office in Washington DC to report my abuse. Thank you Snap Network, for helping to stop child sexual abuse.

I was skeptical at first arrival here at CCC. I came to KNOW this place is AMAZING. During my stay here I haven't ran into an indecent person (staff wise). If you are wholeheartedly and honestly want help with your situation....THIS IS THE PLACE.

Lynette is a Gas Lighter and I am grateful that Ale was available as I recorded my abuse that day. The lies and the abuse sent me almost to my death. I will share future outcome as she is prosecuted for the actions she inflicted on me. I thank CPD , T, and Lauren for their assistance and honesty and support. Please know that no one in any position of authority in any level of authority has a right to abuse anyone! Especially your employer.

Live Violence Free is meaningful and impactful in countless ways for South Lake Tahoe and Alpine County communities. Live Violence Free provides a haven for women, men, and children experiencing abuse, through advocacy, peer counseling, crisis intervention, therapy, safe housing, legal assistance, and basic needs. Live Violence Free is so much more than that. The agency educates the communities on non-violence, provides prevention education in schools, offers food and clothing to community members in need, and so much more. I am grateful for everything Live Violence Free does and stands for, and for each staff member and volunteer who dedicates their time to making South Lake Tahoe and Alpine County safer and more resilient.

Our Church has supported WRAP for many years in a variety of ways, including being a part of our annual Christmas program where we support 25-30 children and families with holiday gifts. Our teen group has done service projects for WRAP and learned a lot about healthy relationships. We have also done unique service projects for them, from building decorations for their annual fundraiser to refreshing landscaping at their safe homes. We appreciate that the organization has concrete ways that we can support their work, and knowing the benefit to those they serve makes the giving even greater. They do great work in our community and they have a wonderful reputation.

Shining Light In Darkness is a highly structured and efficient organization. Staff are well versed in the issues of interpersonal violence and offer services to a wide range of populations including both genders and veterans. They build strong community relationships with agencies, across the board, to address the complexities of gender-based violence. They raise awareness on relevant issues through trainings and maintain a cadre of volunteers to assist with outreach. This organization is also very unique for having an electronic portal for referrals. The portal allows for self-referrals and partner referrals, as needed, which is an efficient way to reach a broader audience. Shining Light In Darkness is an invaluable partner and consistently surpass expectations. The client referral process is streamlined and user friendly.
