VOLUNTEER, DONOR Best Friends Animal Society is Heaven on Earth. I have been travelling there from Pennsylvania twice a year for 17+ years. Their passion, mission, dedication and devotion are unsurpassed. They follow through on their promises. They respect and love each and every animal that comes into their care. The caregivers are exceptional human beings. Extremely hard working - because they truly care, not because it's 'work'. The values of the people are pure and they have an incredible amount of knowledge of animals and rescues - and especially those whom they care for. The sanctuary is beautiful, peaceful, organized and well run. I cannot say enough about this place that has literally added one of the most important aspects to my life and my heart.

My son has XYY Syndrome, which causes some learning disabilities and behavioral issues. I utilize a Parent Consultant from the Utah Parent Center at all of his IEP meetings. She helps me navigate the complex systems of disability including special education. She has helped me feel supported, knowledgeable, and prepared to help my son be successful. All of the staff and their workshops are amazing as well!

My Dad just passed away and in remembrance of him, I am donating to this charity. He loved driving to Antelope Island and seeing the bison, deer and coyotes. It was a quiet reflective place for us, pulling over and capturing moments on camera. Thank you for taking an active role in keeping it in good shape for visitors!

I have met the most caring, dedicated and wonderful people working at Community Action. I was hired to lead the Circles Utah Valley team and that has given me the privilege to become part of the Circles Community. I have gotten to know some really courageous people who are willing to work hard, be vulnerable, and make changes to their lives so that they can be more financially secure and increase their sense of well-being in many aspects of their lives. The volunteers that work with Circles are also some of the most amazing people I have met, giving up their time every week to help those who are struggling by sharing their talents, gifts and friendship with them. Associating with wonderful people and seeing the progress and successes of our participants over time is the "why" of my working here. They have all taught me so much.

When they block traffic and intimidate drivers trying to go about their business (or to the hospital, there is no way to know) they are now committing several crimes.

The Ogden Symphony Ballet Association has served Northern Utah for nearly 70 years, bringing world-class classical music and dance to Ogden. This past year, the OSBA presented 17 concerts, offered 41 outreach classes, and generated over 3,000 volunteer hours, while serving over 18,000 patrons. It truly is one of Utah's nonprofit gems that enriches the community in myriad ways.

Ned C. Wheeler Scholarship Foundation is named after a well-known leader in the Utah deaf community. Ned C. Wheeler believed strongly that a college education prepared deaf students to become leaders of tomorrow. The purpose of a scholarship from the foundation is to encourage deaf students to strive for a college education, and to help those with financial needs<br><br>Scholarships are made available each year to deaf students pursuing academic studies in any of the nation’s colleges and universities. The only criteria is that they be deaf, be a resident of Utah, hold a 3.0 GPA, and indicate that a scholarship would benefit their educational goals. .<br> <br> The Ned C. Wheeler Scholarship Foundation for the Deaf is so organized as to make it fully self-perpetuating and not dependent on any other organization. It has continued its mission of seeking out qualified students attending universities or colleges, and each year awarding scholarships to those selected.<br><br> The foundation is a non-profit organization, and donations made to the foundation are tax exempt. As a board member i have enjoyed being a part of the Lantern House (St. Annes Center). It has been a great experience for me to be a part of.

Brian's comments above are clearly those of someone who is very uninformed about what Intermountain Healthcare does, and the services it provides. <br><br>Intermountain Healthcare is one of the lowest costing healthcare systems in this entire country. <br><br>They do receive tax breaks for being a non-profit hospital organization. A hospital that gave 352,887,953 in charity care in 2015, deserves a tax break in my books. <br><br>Please do not use one bad situation you may have had, due to insurance or whatever issues you had, cause you create a greatly unjust review of an otherwise extraordinary company. <br>

When I originally learned about how The Salt Lake County Children Justice Center gives abused children the hope and help they need to get the justice they deserve, I knew I wanted to be a part of this organization and I knew I wanted to be a part of helping these children who have fallen victim to child abuse. <br><br> I truly feel that the Children Justice Center is one of the most amazing organizations out there making a HUGE impact on kids who need us the most!

I became familiar with and provided advisory services to West Ridge Academy beginning a number of years ago. In this capacity, I was privileged to observe the care and concern demonstrated by individuals working there and by the organization as a whole. The highest recommendation I can give is that I would send my child there... and I would. I love their therapists and treatment programs. I love that the youth who attend West Ridge Academy can participate in 1A athletics. I love how the staff is so aware of each student's strengths and weaknesses and so intent upon helping each in any way they can. This is a great organization. It is now one of two organizations that I donate to.

To understand the impact one person can have on an individual, volunteering for the "Adopt a Grandparent" program is incredible. We always think that everyone has family around but a lot of elderly residents don't. I've enjoyed just sitting, taking a walk, doing a puzzle, whatever my friend wants to do. And when I leave, he smiles! I know the staff takes great care of the residents, too, but this extra bit of attention just for him is fun for me and means so much to him.

The charitable mission of this organization is amazing. They've touched my heart in the sacred work they do everyday with the elderly and younger people with disabilities. Keep up the great work!

Wasatch Adaptive Sports (WAS) are the most friendly people I have ever dealt with. They were super helpful in instructing me how to enjoy the outdoors in Utah during the Winter. While I was learning to ski I felt as if I didn't even have a disability. They bent over backwards to make my experience there more then memorable. <br>Thank you WAS!!!!

We were sent to lobby politicians for the purpose of increasing student aid. That could have been done from home using phones, email, and the USPS. Lack of preparation to argue in favor of our position clearly annoyed a Senator who asked questions, then quickly ended the meeting upon receiving no answers to those questions. In hindsight, it is clear that the trip's true purpose was part of an ongoing scheme to take brief, regular vacations at the expense of the student body. Surely, an employee of the Department of Education is an UNPAID speaker. The longest "seminar" was actually a comedy show, as in a two-hour performance by a professional comedian.

Exquisite is the only word I can come up with regarding BW&rsquo;s Swan Lake. I&rsquo;ve been coming 25 years and have not seen a decent Swan Lake in years. But this truly was the best. The changes of music, the choreography, even the children on stage led to a beautiful timeless performance. I do not recall the names, but your two leads were incredible, youthful, sensitive, just like older teenage love would be, innocent, passionate. The emotion surged to the mezzanine where we sat spellbound for the entire performance. Never have I risen to my feet sooner after any production than this. This was absolute perfection. Thanks so much for a wonderful experience.
