An incredible nonprofit for people who stutter. Arguably the best in the US. Although it advertises as if it is aimed at children and their families, many adults who stutter can connect and grow. They truly listen to the voices of people who stutter.

The Vail Valley Theatre Company re-ignited my love of musical theatre and the performing arts. It has stretched my creative muscles and pushed me to my comfort zone while learning new acting, dance, and improv skills. I'm so happy to be part of this wonderful group, both on and off stage, and can't wait to see what they come up with next.

As a board member for A Woman's Place, I see first hand on a monthly basis the amount of individuals that are positively impacted by the work done at AWP. From crisis line support, shelter for those in imminent danger, safety planning, and prevention education, the advocates and employees at A Woman's place work tirelessly to prioritize survivors of domestic violence. Greeley and the larger community are extremely lucky to have this non-profit organization serving those in need.

This non-profit runs and manages Spring Gulch, a community powered nordic center just outside of Carbondale, Colorado. Donations go directly to paying the groomers, equipment/gas, and other nominal operational costs. Become a member now!

Simply put, this organization saves lives! Their services are far-reaching and impactful. The staff are top-notch experts with a love for the work they do!

I have travelled on four trips with Encouragement and have seen the work of this nonprofit first hand. The work with orphans, churches, and communities is extraordinary. It is an organization that uses every dollar to the fullest and operates with the highest integrity and missional focus.

Wonderful organization serving the children of Honduras financially and emotionally. I’ve had 3 separate experiences volunteering with with this organization and I have been so encouraged and grateful for them each time. I can’t express how positive of a difference this organization has made to hundreds of children in Honduras. The kids and this organization deserve all the support they can get.

The Denver Center for the Performing Arts (DCPA) is the largest performing arts organization in the Rocky Mountain region and the largest endowed LORT theatre in the United States. The theatre productions of the DCPA are of the highest caliber anywhere as are their presentation of Broadway Touring Shows. Also, they have one of the best theatre education and outreach departments in the region. The physical plant and venues of the Denver Performing Arts Complex (DPAC) are arguably the finest of any city in the nation and matched in size only by Lincoln Center in New York. The DCPA is DPAC's largest customer and has right of first refusal for access to these facilities. The DCPA has lofty goals and aspirations and an annual operating budget to match those priorities. Though much of their funding is through the private Helen G. Bonfils Foundation, they do accept public monies via the Scientific Cultural Facilities District (SCFD) of the City and County of Denver, Colorado. The SCFD funds local arts organizations through the disbursement of sales tax revenue collected for qualifying entities. The DCPA is one of the SCFD's largest beneficiaries. The DCPA is always fundraising and never seems to have adequate funding, according to senior management. The organization is hampered by antiquated business and hiring practices and poor treatment of some of the most talented employees in the industry. Though recent management changes would suggest these issues may be changing, upper management is still the old guard and reluctant to progress. The DCPA promotes itself and is classified as a non-profit. Yet revenue streams could easily justify the organization operating as a for-profit enterprise, if modern business practices, fiscal discipline, and for-profit mindset were to be adopted by the company. There have been documented and questionable incidents of funds being used for paying off disgruntled employees by senior management. The company states that only 60% (give or take a few percentage points) of the cost of productions are covered by the retail cost of tickets. The balance of those costs is met via public money and donations. Why should the government be subsidizing the DCPA's patron's recreational activities when ticket prices could be raised to cover production cost? The DCPA is at its core a decent organization, especially in regard to the creative and talented people it employs. However, as a non-profit organization in the traditional, technical, and needy sense, income and revenue should not be a problem and donations and charity better spent on more needy concerns within the theatre community.

The Tigers 13 AA team and coaches are the most unsportsmanlike of all the teams we've ever played. From allowing, and no doubt encouraging, profanity and hate speech on the field, blatant badgering and being sore losers, these coaches should not be allowed near children, much less molding them.

When I was young every Christmas I got a subscription to National Geographic Magazine. All year when each issue arrived I would squirrel away looking first at just the pictures, later reading and dreaming of far away places and the adventures I wanted to have. Now years later after some great epic moments, I appreciate that I have been so fortunate to attend and support the Telluride Mountainfilm festival. Over the years so many special guests, athletes, adventurers, activists, and attendees tell and share their passions and amazing stories. Mountainfilm brings us rare footage and shared moments that have astonished, frustrated, and filled me with awe. Yes I feel apart of something VERY special. And as a side note, really how wonderful that the yellow square from Nat. Geo magazine is still here, and that they are participating and still making a difference in my life. Thank you Mountainfilm staff and to everyone I have had the pleasure of meeting in line or at the festival.

Our local Denver ‘Two Spirit’ organization and Native American based community has been familiar with NNAAPC (National Native American Aids Prevention Center) for more than a decade. Their contributions to the National Native, local communities and ‘Two Spirit’ communities have been a valuable asset in the health and wellness of many tribal communities. Their mission to appropriately educate, advocate, develop policies, sustain research and support healthy behavioral practices among indigenous communities is impeccable. <br>Much of their social marketing campaigns have influence other non-profit organization and governmental agencies to follow their model in developing positive messages for their communities to utilize. HIV/AIDS have devastated much of our indigenous communities and have culminated an advocacy among leader within our communities. Leader such as Isadore Bonnie (San Carlos Apache), Elton Naswood (Diné), Michelle Enfield (Diné), Trudie Jackson (Diné) are among a national few, making a difference, working with NNAAPC to deliver and train these agencies. <br>We the Two Spirit National Cultural Exchange, Inc have recently worked with NNAAPC on several web based seminars and have collaborated with NNAAPC staff. We are currently working with NNAAPC on a national ‘Two Spirit’ social media campaign, addressing the disparity and stigma of HIV/AIDS in the Native American communities. They have been instrumental in our positive emergence as a non-profit organization and we are glad to collaborate with them on several levels. <br>With the assistance of Robert Foley and his leadership, NNAAPC has opened a broader scope of opportunity for education, training and social media development in sustaining knowledgeable practices in insuring a healthier future for our indigenous communities. We will continue to support their efforts in this incredible feat. <br>

We rescued our sweet Dapple Apple Snapple dog from this shelter many years ago. They are so kind. They called to check in on her and make sure everyone was adjusting well. She was so scared and timid when we rescued her, but she has become a very special member of our family. Thank you so much Ark-Valley!!!

I am happy to tell my story. Mercy housing at 227 7th street between Howard and Folsom has the most incompetent inadequate managment you could imagine. Like the previous writer they allow violence in the building out of control noise which I believe was abuse that I reported and they did nothing, but justified the problem. My apartment was broken into twice by other tenants and it was absolutely nothing done by management. Infact they made it out to be my fault by saying things like, "oh I'm sure it was a mistake and the tenant that broke in (who by the way beats his family or after thinking about it and seeing how things played out I really think the wife was giving the beatings) the landord put in my incident report that he (the guy that broke in) wasn't in his right state of mind he was confused. So folks think about it any one can break into your home and say that they were confused and not in the right frame of mind and get away with it. Trust me there is plenty more but, I will stop here with a warning and say WARNING..........DON'T RENT THERE. And last, everyone there is not treated equal. <br> <br>Kimmy D

I am a hotline volunteer and as such I feel that this portion of the association contributes greatly to the people out there who have a multitude of questions after they or a loved one has experienced a stroke. The hotline gives a voice to the association and an ear to all who call for information. The people who are in charge of the volunteers always make you feel glad that you chose the association to give of your time as a volunteer.
