The work they do is lifesaving. I have a friend who listed me as a reference. Their background checks are professional, respectful and necessary for such vulnerable children, and she was approved last year. I am so moved by the work they do I have changed them to be a recipient in my will. They truly care about the people they serve. I am grateful that there are such giving people in our community.

The TSC Alliance has provided my family with up-to-date resources and scientific data on how best to care for our daughter. They work tirelessly to find a cure for TSC while remaining excellent stewards of their finances. The TSC Alliance also provides connection to the TSC community, workshops on the latest research, educational support, and more.

Volunteering with SWB has been a wonderful experience. As a recent resident to Baltimore, I was lucky to find a group focused on building community and working with children through a language I've always understood - soccer. It has been a pleasure working alongside genuine and caring coaches and school personnel dedicated to serving diverse communities in Baltimore, and mostly, working with the all the kids involved with SWB. I look forward to continuing to volunteer here and contributing to a positive and constructive environment for all SWB's players.

I donated because our Church, Immaculate Conception Catholic Church , in Hampton, Virginia, has partnered up with the CBF to help get the cinder blocks and the oysters (at low tide) along the Hampton River. I understand we our donating money will help to buy more of the sea grass plants that will be planted, to help keep the shore line from eroding. They have deep roots when full grown. Hoping this donation will help to purchase more. I am sure there are more ways that may be done near where you live. We live in Hampton, we support our Hampton Community.!! It is a real way to help with the flooding prone to our areas.

At Woodmoor Elementary, we’ve seen firsthand the bold impact of the Education Foundation of BCPS. In 2024, we were honored to receive two transformative grants. The application process was refreshingly simple and aligned beautifully with our school’s mission and BCPS’s vision. Through the Read In Color grant, we created a space that celebrates diverse voices and encourages inclusive reading. Later, the Clean Green 15 grant helped us launch the School Pride Youth Environmental Club, which empowered students to take action for sustainability and community pride. Thanks to the Foundation’s support, we hosted a vibrant Earth Day Spring Takeover event with nearly 300 attendees, featuring presentations from the National Aquarium, county & state environmental leaders. These experiences have enriched our community in lasting ways. The Education Foundation doesn’t just fund projects—they help build movements. We are deeply grateful and proud to support their recognition as a Great Nonprofit.

I got my complaint notarized but it was thrown in the trash with thousands of other complaints without out knowledge for two years because the staff was "overwhelmed ". If you don't want to do the work don't take public donations or grants. Stormie, Pittsburgh

Feeling very depressed. I've attempted to get onto this site numerous times - can never get on. If you're going to have a site for people who are depressed and suicidal, then you should have enough people to help. Worthless, yet they sure do ask for donations every time you're on the site. CLIENT NOT SERVED

When I first became a resident (they call us members) at a go-getters group home the program was great, however for sometime now, the program has had a member on member aggressive behavior, threatening behavior, violence is a problem that persists, so much that those members who are in there general group homes avoid going to there day center because they don't feel safe there, intensive group home members have no choice. The most common response to member complaints involving aggressive, threatening or violent behavior is "they are adults we cant do anything about it", despite the fact that rules exist that prescribe a process to deal with such problems. <br><br>Food insecurity has become a long standing problem, members end up having their snap, paa cases closed because (in group homes members are supposed to have the program serve as their representative) because they fail to complete the redetermination process, one member went 3 months with no food, I personally am now subsisting on what crackers, bread, and meats I have left. And I had to stock up in case this would happen, if I had not I would be starving. This program needs to be investigated by government authorities.

This organization has been around since 1967 and they have immensely helped out several families with the resources they needed in order to make profound changes for their deaf and hard of hearing children.

I started with Therapeutic and Recreational Riding Center, Inc. (also known as TRRC, Inc.) since 1998, and have loved the programs that Dr. Helen Tuel has developed over the years, and what she has built up over the years. Over time, I have also been a Therapeutic Rider, a Recreational Rider (when I start back up in the Spring 2022, it will be as a Therapeutic rider again!) Our instructors are all PATH Intl. Registered and/or Certified. We had to drop out of the Hippotherapy program for a while, but that has started back up as a a contract group that leases the TRRC areas. We've also been able to add an Equine Assisted Psychotherapy Program, again as Contractors to TRRC, Inc. AS a volunteer, I started out as a leader, a side-walker, working with physical and occupational physical therapists. Now I predominantly assist Dr. Tuel (our Founding and Executive Director, who has had the vision to create a state-of-the-art facility as well as the programs. I've been a as a volunteer coordinator, fundraiser (writing grant applications, researching new grant possibilities, coming up with some standardized wording that could be used across all grant applications, and managing our Professional Association for Therapeutic Horsemanship International group re-accreditation (starting in 2003 under the North American Riding for the Handicapped Association, and continuing through 2021/2023.) I've also served as our safety coordinator and safety compliance coordinator, and now have a supervisor who will run interference for me with Helen Tuel regarding anything related to our Safety and other regulatory programs, and maintaining our GuideStar Profile (this rates nonprofits for their transparency and accountability practices in conducting their programs, writing annual reports, and any other documents that maybe needed as time goes by (Business Plans, Strategic Plans, etc.) <br> <br>TRRC, Inc. sits on a 55 acre farm, with 2 large 17-horse barns, and one older smaller horse barn. Additionally, we have 2 "Pony" barns (smaller stall sizes) for approximately 7-9 ponies each, and one includes a wash stall, and both include either a Tack Room and/or a Feed Room. The two larger "horse" barns each have wash stalls, the original barn (small horse barn) also has an office area, and 2 (soon to be 3) completed indoor riding arenas, with heaters to allow us to run year round, and sprinkler systems (for both our riders and our equines who have any form of respiratory difficulties - usually asthma. which allows TRRC to expand our riding capacity up to approximately 150 riders each week All have access to our large and small paddocks, complete with run-in sheds.

Dar-us-Salaam is a welcoming space that invites people from all backgrounds to come together to worship Allah. This community is like none other as it promotes unity, strength, support, and beneficial knowledge. It's the members from this community that helped us adjust to the transition of moving here as they showered us with unfaltering support and kindness.

After going to a few plays I volunteered with the Potomac Playmakers as a stage manager. This past year I became production coordinator. This is a great company with a bright future. We acquired our own building recently and are in the process of renovation now. Come see our shows!

I would not recommend this childcare facility to anyone. After finally getting approved for assistance through my local human services department, I was told by ABC that they would not accept the payment since it would take to long to receive. Even though the human services office made a verbal pledge to them via telephone. <br>The prices are exorbitantly high and they nickel and dime you with late charges, registration fees and so many other ridiculous charges that seem to change day to day. <br>The office staff are extremely unfriendly and judgmental.

I have asked for permission to paint with a Carroll County group of watercolorists and was graciously permitted to do this. We have done it several times and enjoy the property and homestead. There is so much history to learn about the people who have lived there, the property and buildings. I have given Family gifts from the LwR good deeds catalog and my family loved them!<br>And ive sewn Lutheran World RELIef Quilts for years. TEN to 15 women meet weekly and we send approximately 200 quilts annually. It's wonderful seeing videos of the distribution. And the fellowsjip among our quilters my is wonderful.

CASA Volunteers: The voice that speaks out in the wilderness through the court system for the best interest of the child within their being, they withhold the keys to unlocking the impending problems that the children are waiting for them to solve, inasmuch to help them obtain joy for sadness, light for darkness, hope for hopelessness, and to know that they are loved, creative authentic uniqueness is within their being, most of all to dwell in their happy place of a safe, secure, permanent residence as quickly as possible.

This organization does not treat the children in their care right. In certain homes Direct Care staff have to come out of pocket and pay so the children can eat, or experience different activities(Direct care staff never recieve money back from company). Underage children that are in some of their group homes are allowed to participate in illegal activities (smoking,stealing, etc) with no corrective actions. Most of the time these activities goes knowingly (by the program managers) unreported. The children bearly get the proper therapy that this organization claim to provide. The psychologist only method to care for these youth is to medicate them, instead of getting to the deeper root of their problems and showing them how cope. The people in the main office are incompetent. They are to concerned with focusing on fundraisers instead of the children needs. The children bearly benefit from the fundraisers that this organizations hold. The majority of the Direct Care employees are miserable and scared to report all of these downfalls for fear of loosing there jobs. Direct care staff stay around not because of the job but because of the youth. DJS and DSS should do a thorough investigation on this organization

This Club system has helped my employees son (age 7) so much. He was falling behind in school, had no friends to play with. With the clubs programs, staff and positive environment, Little John is doing very well in school bringing up his grades to where they should be and has given him the confidence to talk to others and make friends easily. The club has helped with food for both holidays, made sure John had presents under the tree. These people do a lot of great work with very little funding.

We are a group of women that is spreading awareness on what is really going on at crossway community. We believe enough is enough and this organization needs to be exposed.. <br>Crossway Community Is a successful business that continues to thrive, by exploding our children and more importantly, us. Moveable Feast is an wonderful organization. It provides meals to people who are critically ill, which is an important mission that is enthusiastically supported by the board, the staff, and the volunteers. Moveable Feast engages more than 3,000 volunteers each year. The Board is actively involved and committed through financial means, time, and expertise. In 2013, Moveable Feast delivered over 700,000 meals to 3,600 clients throughout Maryland. To leverage their kitchen facility and kitchen staff expertise, Moveable Feast trains under- or unemployed Baltimore City residents in its Culinary training program.

KENSINGTON VOLUNTEER Fireman are always ready when needed. When the siren blows these men and women race to the House and get their gear, get the engines started, and begin their journey to the address provided. They depend on their neighborhood citizens for support. You get a lot of bang for your buck when you support this group. They are always ready to roll to make us safe.

Dad is 96 and was living independently prior to a hospital stay. We had to finally find assisted living for him. Roland Park Place has been our prayers answered. He is thriving and is actually beginning to enjoy life again. Physical therapy there has done amazing things for his arms and limited mobility. My sister and i anguished over the choices so when our brother recently complemented our choice we are even more thrilled.
