Causes: Mental Health, Sexual Assault Services
Mission: See page 1 line 1.
Programs: Terebinth refuge, in its start-up phase, is licensed with 2 beds, but will quickly be licensed for 10 as construction is completed. This number may eventually include mothers with small children. Terebinth refuge offers shelter for a short term and later the transitional program will provide services for the long term. Our goal is to see each woman we serve eventually move from shelter to transition. Both programs include case management that will develop case plans with goals to promote healing and a path to stability and independence. Terebinth refuge has an rn who handles medical issues, makes medical referrals and oversees wellness programs. Terebinth refuge contracts with organizations to provide trauma therapy and chemical dependency treatment. We offer educational opportunities, job coaching and eventually job placement, support groups, independent living skill development and recreational/leisure opportunities. We offer services to deal with the "whole" person so they are empowered to move out and stay out of the life of sexual exploitation and trafficking.
