I am a parent of a resident at Rainbow Omega, and I volunteer in the garden center. It's a lovely place, my husband and I always say," I wish everyone had a Rainbow." Such joy on the faces of the residents there. They are family!<br>

Very unprofessional and abusive to animals and staff. Main director has been arrested for child neglect twice. Animals died here more than they were adopted out. Do not come here.

Over all this is an amazing facility! The staff truly cares about the animals. It’s a very clean environment. The employees and volunteers are friendly and helpful. Including those who do community service. <br> <br>If you are looking for a pet this is the place for you! If you are looking to volunteer this is the place for you! If you are looking to do *community service, this may not be the place for you. <br> <br>I’ve had numerous horrible encounters with the person in charge of community service. They can be condescending, rude, and terrifying. They have unapologetically and without reason, made me cry on several different occasions. <br> <br>There are tons of positive reviews about this shelter as a whole, and that is well deserved! But for someone checking this page out to find a nice nonprofit to do their community service with, proceed with thick skin and caution. I feel that it needs to be said. <br> <br>I chose this nonprofit because it is near and dear to my heart. As a customer and volunteer I have been so very pleased! This nonprofit has great events that encourage people to get outside and on the water. They teach you to appreciate the natural resources in your area and how to protect them.

Their dedicated staff is top of the line. They all take such good care of all the fur babies prior to adoption.

My name is Jenny Oveson and I live in Mobile, AL. I was born with Spina Bifida, a birth defect in which a developing baby's spinal cord fails to develop properly, and Hydrocephalus, a neurological condition that exists when excess cerebrospinal fluid builds up in the ventricles inside the brain. Because of these disabilities, I use a power wheelchair and live with my parents. When I was born, my father made it his mission in life to better the lives of people with disabilities and our families. He achieved this when I was 6 years old the Director of Family Support. <br>Family Support is a source of help that is designed for Alabama's children or adults with developmental disabilities and their families, and Alabamians with Traumatic Brain Injury at any age. We envisions a day when every family receives the respect and support that will allow them to stay together, fully participate in community life, and share in the opportunities that can lead to a secure, quality lifestyle. We believe that people with disabilities and their families are best able to determine their own needs, and should be empowered to make decisions concerning necessary, desirable and appropriate services. Additionally, we believe that supports must be provided in ways that build on existing social networks and natural sources of support, that strengthen the capacity and the integrity of the family, and that can accommodate unique needs.

How about advancing our youth or mankind as a whole without being racist? It sickens me to see those who would claim to fight racism promote such divisive mind sets. You get one star only because I have to give a star to comment.

The ladies at Casa are very helpful, especially Mrs Alexis Ellison. She s made sure I had food when I had nothing . She tells u she's going to do something and she keeps her word true. She got my niece a bed when she had been shot in the head and left for dead, and had two small babies. Mrs Ellison is awesome <br> <br>

I was a volunteer tax preparer at VCCA (nee RSVP) for 15 years. The organization recruits and trains volunteers to assist the public (primarily low income and seniors) with taxes and a variety of other needs. VCCA prepares and e-files current and prior year taxes year round, both federal and state. VCCA also hosts Lunch & Learn forums, which are conducted by municipal &/or social leaders, who address cultural, financial, health, safety and other community needs. The Project Director, who has led the program for 20 years, is the only paid employee. The Board ensures grants and donations are used to support the neediest in the community. <br>
