My best friend and I were at a party on campus, and it got pretty uncomfortable. A few drunk guys kept getting way too close, making weird comments about our clothes, and one of them even touched my friend. It was seriously creepy. Luckily, I had one of Verity’s magnets with the 24-hour helpline number on it. We decided to give them a call, and honestly, they were amazing. They gave us really helpful support and advice. Huge shoutout to Verity for being there when we needed them!

Verity is a wonderful organization that helps support and advocates for the well-being and safety of individuals who have experienced trauma around DV and SA. The 24-hour hotline availability for immediate intervention, communication, and de-escalation has successfully helped others when experiencing triggering moments, past trauma, or immediate need for help. Verity has helped hundreds of survivors of SA and DV and continues to do so with immediate caring and compassionate advocates, and counselors, who work with local hospitals, law enforcement, and therapists when needed. I am beyond grateful for their services and would hope anyone who is in immediate need of help to reach out and get help. Help is here!

Verity is an amazing organization that helps survivors of sexual assault through their healing and justice journey. As a volunteer we aim to provide support and resources on the crisis line or even in person when needed. As well as connecting them to the rest of the team to provide them long term support and other resources.

Verity is an incredible organization that provides an important service to one of the most vulnerable populations, survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence. As a volunteer I have seen the great services they can provide by helping to find community resources for resource assistance, therapy, overnight shelters, and being an advocate in the event someone wants to complete a SART exam. The value that the volunteers provide to the organization in being there as support people for those going through a SART exam, an extremely traumatic and stressful time sometimes the scariest point in someone's life is so important.

The staff that support the volunteer are amazing as well and the organization works with countless other local organizations as well creating a true community net of resources.

Verity is doing exceptional work in our community through their comprehensive prevention, intervention, and healing programs. As the only nonprofit organization in Sonoma County dedicated to addressing sexual assault and human trafficking, Verity stands as a community safe space for those affected by these deeply traumatic experiences.

One of the most remarkable aspects of Verity is their commitment to providing all services to survivors completely free of charge. This ensures that there are no financial barriers to accessing the help and resources they need. Additionally, Verity’s services are entirely confidential, offering a safe and secure environment where survivors can seek support without fear of judgment or exposure.

Verity serves all survivors, regardless of when or where the assault occurred. Whether the trauma is recent or from decades ago, Verity is there to provide the compassionate care and support needed to begin the healing journey.

Verity’s work is not only vital but also transformative. For anyone seeking help or looking to support an organization making a real difference, Verity is truly an invaluable resource in our community.

In my current position I investigate sexually motivated crimes. I have used UASA's services many times over the past two years. Throughout that time I've met many of the volunteers and have had nothing but positive interactions. I feel that the services that UASA offers are not only valuable, but are key in making an traumatic situation better for anyone involved. It has been a pleasure working with UASA.
