Causes: Arts & Culture, Single Organization Support
Mission: The mission of the women's symphony league of austin (wsl) is to provide service and financial support for the austin symphony orchestra (aso) and its programs, and offer educational opportunities for children and the community to further develop appreciation of music. The wsl donates 100% of the net revenues from special events to the aso and is their single largest financial contributor. The wsl's volunteer fundraising efforts help the aso enrich the community and provide outstanding youth educational programs that reach over 90,000 children as well as offer many free concerts including the free gift to the city of austin of the fourth of july concert and fireworks. The wsl has contributed over $4. 5 million to the aso since july of 2001. The wsl has no compensated individuals and does not pay salaries or benefits to anyone.
Programs: Contribution to supported organization of net proceeds from all fundraising events, to the austin symphony orchestra society.
allocation to aso youth education programs to purchase items for the concerts that are free to over 90,000 children.
