This is supposed to be a 'home' for young people who've made some mistakes and need another chance at life to get themselves sorted out and on the right track. Unfortunately, this is more or less an unsupervised circus where the troubled rehabilitating youths spend the majority of their days wandering up and down the street smoking marijuana, or hanging out in the driveway with older unemployed men from the surrounding hood who like to tell stories and impress the young people with tales of their own trouble-making. The youths are constantly getting re-arrested for stealing from the houses that immediately neighbor the 'home', and they are also regularly getting into fights that don't get broken up unless a neighbor intervenes; the staff of supervisors don't do anything at all to manage or guide these young people. This 'home' is a perfect example of how our government allows our tax dollars to be siphoned away for useless programs. Yes, there are some 'homes' like this that actually do some good, but this particular home only serves as an income generator for the owner of the property, while the staff fails to provide any guidance, and the youths are running more wild than before they were placed there. ; as it is, this 'outreach center' has become the main hangout for all the neighborhood troublemakers ranging in age from early teen up to late 50's. Why are there 50+ year old unemployed neighborhood bums hanging out and 'smoking' with these children?!?!?
