Mission: Tumml's mission is to empower entrepreneurs to solve urban problems. Tumml provides mentorship and educational programs to entrepreneurs in an effort to foster and retain urban impact-focused businesses, improve the quality of life within cities, promote social welfare, relieve the poor and distressed, and combat community deterioration.
Programs: Tumml provides hands-on skills training, a tailored education curriculum, mentorship, and seed funding to urban innovators in order to grow their businesses and make a significant impact in their communities. Tumml is a hub for urban technology, providing access to thought leadership, events, and startup support. Tumml provides structured events and access to mentors, professional coaches, and support staff to foster the promotion of:-jobs for the unemployed or underemployed residents of the community;-improvements and revitalization for deteriorated geographic areas; -stabilization to prevent future deterioration; and/or-businesses and wealth investment in areas of the urban environment where, but for the assistance provided by tumml, these businesses would not choose to be located. Entrepreneurs spend four months working in tumml's san francisco office. The urban impact entrepreneurs work through issues of market analysis, technology viability assessment, competitive positioning, team building, product lifecycle planning, marketing strategy, fundraising, and sales channel analysis, both independently and through a group-oriented curriculum.
