Mission: To promote public understanding and appreciation of architecture and design through educational programs, public programs, and exhibitions.
Programs: Learning by design:ny provides in-school architecture and design residency programs and professional development workshops for nyc students and teachers, using architecture and design to enrich the k 12 curriculum and develop problem-solving skills. Programs@thecenter includes design workshops for school groups, youth and adults at the center for architecture. Programs are offered during the school day, during school vacation periods and on evenings and weekends throughout the year. Center for architecture exhibitions are designed to engage the general public and design professionals in current topics in architecture and urbanism. Free access to galleries and lectures offer the opportunity to advance understanding of the built environment.
