Causes: Arts & Culture, Arts Education, Theater
Mission: To present plays by shakespeare--for high school and home school groups, as well as offering post-production q & a sessions.
Programs: Production of 4 classical plays. Sls' productions of "macbeth", "treasure island" and "lord of the rings" included reduced price matinees which were attended by hundreds of high school and home school students. A summer "bootcamp" was provided for high school students to participate in a series of workshops and the production of a fully staged shakespeare play that was open to the public. Free pre-show discussions were presented on the opening weekend of each mainstage production as part of our continuing education process.
