I have been supporting Save the Children for the last 5 years. I am grateful that there are organizations with staff that are so committed to those in need of help. The impact that they have made with children in remote parts of the world is astounding. Keep up the amazing work. For anyone that is trying to decide on a children's or if they should support a children's charity. I strongly advise supporting Save the Children. Dave from Boston
This bunch of greedy sponges sent out an email to donars saying that unless you opted out, they would just increase your automatic donation by 1/6. This brazen money grab is an insult to donors and is about as underhanded a move as I have ever seen. As result of this brazen money grab I have cancelled my donation and urge all others to do the same. These greedy money grabbers don't deserve anybody's support.
I've been donating to Save the Children for the past 3 years. Their global work is amazing and I especially love that they work to help children here in the U.S. They're always in involved in emergencies and I look to them constantly to understand where some of the worlds priorities lie.
Sadly if you sponsor a child in the US your aren't the only childs sponsor and tho they promote stories of sponsors meeting their kids it's not allowed in the US.So basically you are just cutting a check and will never know anything real about the kids you are sponsoring. So I just cancelled my 4 sponsorships.
I’ve seen Save the Children commercials for a long time. Especially touching is the one that shows Kayambi brought into a clinic for treatment. His cries always makes my little dog Dori run into the room and bark and growl at the tv! Even she knows the sound of hunger and pain. My husband suffered a life threatening illness and pulled through. I wanted to do something in gratitude for his recovery and Kayambi’s commercial came on and there was Dori as usual. I knew then just what I wanted to do! Now when the commercial is aired, I tell Dori we are helping and not to worry. Save the Children are there!
Money or Life. Find a way to make it work bc Needing Alyssa Milano to replace Sally Struthers is SAD.
Southparks joke about her eating the proceeds fun - but obesity is not that different from starvation. Oral fixations Both can be fatal and heart attack more common than starvation -
Up until I was reigned in for "over caring" again this Not for Profit couldnt be more informative and web 3.0 meaning push notifications and social media features were positioned to promote goodness without an app. Its ranking was 4 out of 5 stars and my sponsorship appreciation was a bit over appreciated.
Stats about Starving people which was down 50% in the last decade (roughly) should be zero humgry and homeless. And figuring this out shouldnt be so complicated every day. I had to switch to another non for profit given the fact our attempts to be altruistic is met with: what is Altruism? Giving and loving others u dont know ... Feeding people shouldnt need much other than a monthly $75 reoccurring button. One button and im feeding 4 not 1 every month at a more feasable rate. Corporate giving is only a measly 2-3 percent with America leading ... Sad. Should we Eradicate the major issues like poverty by syncing and being on one page all day long. One channel for giving.
My heart goes out to those little faces. I wasn't able to raise my children the way i should have and feel like this is my way of making amends by helping other children. Even God can't change the past.
Save the children is Doing the only work that matters I have been a Proud supporter for years and will continue to be
I REALLY LOVE SAVE THE CHILDREN CHARITY!!! THEY ARE SO WONDERFUL AT HELPING TO FEED, SHELTER, CLOTHE, AND KEEP FAMILIES WARM, SAFE AND DRY FROM THE ELEMENTS, TO OUR MOST IN NEED BROTHERS AND SISTERS AROUND THE WORLD!! GOD BLESS ALL YOU DO FOR HIS CHILDREN!!
I am a donner and I do believe Safe the Children Federation .Is doing a good job help children and families all over the world please help the foundation to continue the good charity work.
I have been a supporter for many years. I am so grateful for organizations like Save the Children that work so hard for needy children all over the world.
Grateful for a nonprofit that’s highly rated for fiscal responsibility and serves children in need all over the world. I especially appreciate their quick response to emerging disasters.
This should say it all.
Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish.
This organization is amazing! The work they do is so vital to communities around the world and to our collective future. The children that they help are the future of our societies, both local and global. I will continue to support this great non-profit and if you care about the future of this planet, then you will as well!!!
I’ve sponsored many children over the past 20 years, usually 2 or 3 at a time. They write me charming letters and draw me pictures and I get such joy out of knowing that I’m actually doing something toward the betterment of their lives. SAVE THE CHILDREN is quite simply a marvelous organization. Think about joining us!
I learned about Save the Children through social media and decided to become a sponsor for 3 girls around the world. This organization is doing wonders and I’m so grateful to be a very small part of it.
This organization is amazing! I have been contributing for awhile now. I am very impressed by the missionto save all children. They are all precious and deserve our protection and love! God Bless each and every child and volunteer! ❤️
Save the children is my top charity its the best at saving children when I’m ever asked why I give to this charity I say When I do good I feel good that’s my religion prayers are empty words without action I pray for everyone so I do my best to help everyone LIFE IS NOT about being RICH, being popular, being HIGHLY educated or perfect.... it IS about being REAL being KIND being HUMBLE and following the Golden rule the best you can when you can and taking action by doing whatever you can whenever you can to help anyone less fortunate
I've been a sponsor for more than 35 years, and continue to be impressed by the amazing work this organization does to help children and their communities throughout the world.
I have been fostering a beautiful little girl for over a year now. I previously fostered another girl from Zambia who reached adulthood and aged out of the program. This organization not only provides help for the child but for their family and community as well. The most important thing they provide is hope. Hope for an education. Hope for a brighter future. Hope to someday make a difference in those around them. Your small monthly donation goes a long way.
We all got extra bread laying around and we buy bs we dont need. How about we share it with these kids.
They’re providing the help our children so desperately need & doing a fantastic job!
Save the children is a first-rate Class Act! I've done my research they really impact the lives of children globally!... or should I say we impact the lives of children globally because this is a family a family of love. It does my heart well to know that I can be a part of an army that fights the good fight. I'm a disabled veteran on a fixed income by the 6th or 7th of the month I'm already down to a couple of hundred bucks to last me the rest of the month... and I gladly give to save the children, and I'm looking another expense I can do without so that I can take on one more child to help each month. One thing I did was, I stopped buying bottled water I bought a really good filter that I can put on any bottle and that saves me about $60 a month... enough to sponsor two children.
We have sponsored many children over the past 20+ years, have watched them grow and have witnessed the positive impact that Save the Children has in communities in the U.S. and around the world. We chose Save the Children because we knew that it was highly rated as a nonprofit and that most of the funds went to programs--and also as parents we thought it was good to be an example of giving back for our son. As these things often work out, it has been a wonderfully positive experience for us, too!
Working at Save the Children was a great experience. Everyone had a big heart and an open mind.
Save the Children is an amazing organization to work with!! I was privileged to be able to intern with such passionate people who really embody the organization's mission and are eager to hear new ideas/input from their interns and volunteers. The entire climate at Save the Children is welcoming, innovative, and inspiring. The intern/volunteer program offers so many valuable opportunities, from workshops to networking events to meetings that we were invited to sit in on - the chances to learn more and make new connections were endless!
I interned at Save the Children US in the Summer of 2018. I was on the Health Systems Strengthening Team in the Department of Global Health, where I worked under Eric Sarriot to conduct a literature review of monitoring and evaluation of social accountability mechanisms for health. As a college student interested in international child health, this was an invaluable experience for me. Further, working on the health systems strengthening team really helped me view global health in a different, more systems-focused light, and stressed the importance of community health to me.
Not only was my formal internship experience wonderful, but the community in the D.C. office was incredible as well. There was a lot of programming specifically for the interns, which helped us form a community and prepare for our careers, and every Save employee I met was an absolute pleasure.
I had a great time volunteering at Save the Children! Everyone that I met at the organization was truly passionate about their work and saw the good that it would do for children all around the world. As a volunteer I worked closely with my manager each day attending meetings and contributing to projects. I also worked on my own project throughout my internship and got to present my insights to senior management. Save the Children is a truly amazing place to volunteer!
I just signed up to be a part of a second child's journey thru Save the Children and couldn't be happier that I did! No matter how strained my work day may be, I just think of them, their faces, their joys and I become renewed! Thanks Save the Children!
I truly believe in the power of setting an example. Supporting the outstanding work of Save the Children over these last 10 yrs has most certainly influenced my daughter to go into international service! Thank you Sabe the Children!
Honestly, what better way is there to increase understanding, thereby increasing the chances for peace, than by helping and communicating with children and their families around the world? I now have three sponsored children ~ one in El Salvador, one in Egypt, and one in the U.S. ~ and their pictures and letters vie with our son’s on the refrigerator door!
I’ve watched two little girls in Bangladesh grow to teenagers. Interactions with them and the organization’s worker bees have been amazing. I started with Save the Children because they are nondenominational and help entire communities without promoting a religious agenda. I will always be a part of this effective and loving organization.
I have sponsored a child for two years. Save the Children keeps me informed as to how many donation helps not only this child and family, but the whole community. More of my donation goes to the child than many other charities.
I support Save the Children because of the widespread and global assistance for low income people and children. Everyone deserves a reasonable start in life. Save the Children enables them by giving them a push. They always update me via postal mail, email and text message.
I was a summer intern at Save the Children and it was a really incredible experience. The team I was with was super accessible and made me feel at home immediately. Everyone I met at Save the Children was so friendly and welcoming. I was particularly impressed by Save the Children's manager mentor, who were employees from other departments who were willing to speak with interns about their careers.
I was a intern with this organization, and this experience opened my eyes to the complexity of programming to help children. The dedication of the other employees impressed and inspired me, and the work done was both impactful and fun!
When I was looking for a great cause to get involved in, a friend who’s worked all over the world for organizations like the UN and UNICEF recommended Save the Children. That was years ago, and i’ve been so thrilled, so filled with the experience that I recently got a third child. Now I have one in El Salvador, one in Egypt, and one in the U.S.! Thank you, Save the Children, for the transformative work you do bringing people together. It’s the only way toward world peace.
If you can't tell by the way the donor recruiters treat strangers in the street, the website will confirm that this organization is a scam.
I first was approached by Save the Children on the street. One of the local college kids had been asking random people in Venice walking by if they'd like to join what was essentially a monthly sum to a child in a faraway, difficult land.
I was taken by the directness of how the funds would reach the child. I decided to donate, and sponsor a child in the Philippines.
Later, i was lucky enough to meet the legendary Bill Haber through some business contacts. After inviting me to some further events, I was approached with the opportunity to visit Bolivia and see the wonderful work being done.
Visiting the Save the Children sites in Bolivia was hands down the most incredible experience i've ever been a part of: seeing how children have the power and potential to rebuild the worlds around them was a visceral experience that has forever changed me.
I can't recommend enough Save the Children as a nonprofit. The work that they do stretches dollars for beyond their intention, and the direct work with kids, and how effective the work is on their lives is unparalleled.
Save the Children is doing great work around the world. About five years ago, we gave our two children sponsorships as part of their Christmas present. They both sponsor a child in Ethiopia their same age and gender, and have found it to be a great experience. Two years ago, they asked to sponsor two more children in Uganda. They love exchanging letters with the kids and learning about their lives. Save the Children is making a difference for kids all over the world, improving healthcare, education and livelihoods. Thank you for all you do!
I'm very impressed with Save the Children's impact, they really make a difference. And I love that US kids are being helped as well as children around the world. I sponsor 2 kids, and give to every emergency. It must be so hard for the staff on the ground, to see so much need and suffering close up. They really care about children. And they get great ratings from the charity watchdogs so I feel good about spending my money with them.
I have been a Save the Children sponsor for a couple of years now, because a friend of mine was already a sponsor. And more people should do it - especially with an organization as trustworthy as Save the Children. I became involved after visiting part of the developing world in Africa, where I felt somewhat hopeless and wanted to do something. So this friend recommended I sponsor a child there, which I do now and I am expanding my list of sponsored children every year, including a child in New Mexico. It's gratifying, and I know my money is being put to good use. Save the Children knows how to get things done, plain and simple. Every organization that raises money will send you things via the mail, etc - that's what they do. I also work with a wonderful animal shelter and I have an inside view on their fundraising - you have to do those kind of things to raise money to keep the lights on and do the great work these groups do! If you don't like the mailings, just pitch them - or give them to someone. But spending $28 a month or giving a donation to Save the Children will be the best donation you've ever made.
I have been associated with Save the Children for over 5 years. I have volunteered with them, sponsored children, and visited their programs overseas. Save the Children is very responsible with donations, and the staff is very dedicated to their work, and are not paid as much as they would if they were in the private sector, but they do so because they are dedicated to the health and well-being of children in the United States and worldwide.
I respect Save the Children -- for its mission and its results. Every child deserves a future -- and Save the Children does whatever it takes to make sure they have it. They make sure children grow up healthy, educated and safe. They take care of children's unique needs when crisis strikes. They are outspoken champions for children's rights.
Plus they get stellar reviews from every rating agency, so I know my support is well spent.
I have been a donor for nearly 30 years. Save the Children does great work around the world and here at home. It was founded on the simple belief that every child has the right to a healthy start, the opportunity to learn and protection from harm.
Save the Children is transforming homes and classrooms across the country and around the world, giving moms and dads the helping hand they need and giving kids a change to reach their full potential. It is a truly 5-star worthy organization.
Save the Children is a great reputable organization that truly helps all children around the world and in the US through their programming, local work and Emergency Response work. As an endurance athlete, I've ran several marathons and fundraised directly for Save the Children and I whole heartedly believe that the money and help is going to exactly where it needs to go; to help every last child in any corner of the world.
Save the Children is a fantastic organization that invests an immense amount of resources, manpower, and money into improving the lives of children in the US and all around the world. Not only does Save the Children repond to humanitarian disasters around the globe that effect children and their families, but the organization is heavily involved in developiment programs and opportunities in education and other areas that benefit children as well. Save is one of the only organizations of its kind that is truly the positive voice of children in crisis for both developed and underdeveloped regions of the world.
I have had the amazing opportunity to work with and donate to this charity for almost two years. The work that they do in helping children around the world is truly remarkable. I have the utmost confidence that my donations are being used to their fullest potential.
I'm a grateful donor to Save the Children. I've supported a child in Malawi for a year now, and have loved getting updates on her progress and the chance to learn more about how the money I've donated is helping her.
Great, reputable, transparent and well organized federation. My Family have been sponsoring 2 kids (1 in Bangladesh and 1 in USA), for the last 2 years and it has been very rewarding. Teaching the value of giving back to my kids at very early age is priceless. We have to make a better place for them! It is very easy to sponsor. Save the Children's internet page, allow you to choose the country and program that you will like to sponsor. They send you regular updates and reports with accomplishments. Even my child was able to have an active roll during International Day of the Girl in NY. I was moved with all the good and positive things that this organization has been doing. Congratulations to Save the children !! Thanks for the chance to be part of it and make the difference!
I just made a donation to them for Hurricane Matthew. I gave to them during the earthquakes in Haiti and Nepal too and they were responsible and reported to me about how my donation was used.
This organization is exceptional. The best review I can share is the following.
Recently we had a meeting the HR director who had returned from a trip to Africa.
She shared with us photos, stories and case studies of the amazing work they are doing.
Her excitement and passion for her role, organization, and a women helping children was inspiring.
It is a pleasure working with everyone at Save The Children, - all levels.
Their passion and hard work does not go unnoticed.
Save the Children Federation is a very disciplined organization highly focused on the benefits intended for its mission. You can feel the passion among the staff and team, highly energized and extremely well oiled in producing for the greater good of the impoverished children of our world. A hats off salute and great thank you to the entire organization.
I am a freelance graphic designer with 30+ years experience, and have been involved with many nonprofit organizations over the years. But my longest association has been with Save the Children for whom I have worked on a project-to-project basis since 1999. During that time I have participated in over 500 projects for many different departments within STC, and worked with dozens of people. I have always been impressed by the hard work and dedication of everyone I come in contact with, and frequently amazed at the amount of time they devote to their jobs, even after normal business hours. Because I freelance from my home, I keep crazy hours myself, and I often get project-related emails long, long after 5 pm, or on weekends, or find myself on a phone call with someone still on the job as they travel by train to or from the office. Save the Children employees are truly passionate and excited about the work they do.
Also -- since I've worked with them for so long -- I've had the opportunity to see STC steadily grow and expand its reach to help more and more children and their communities in the U.S. and around the world. And because I've been involved with so many different projects in so many different departments, I've been in a unique position see the variety of creative ways they raise funds, their careful use of those funds, and the scope and progress of the programs (often innovative) they develop and implement to improve the lives of so many. Save the Children really is a great nonprofit!
Save the Children is a great reputable organization that I have the pleasure of working with and donating to. I trust that my donation is being used efficiently and truly making a difference.
I have had the privilege to partner with Save the Children's field teams from Tennessee, to Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas, and this year, South Carolina. I have personally met exceptional team members on each visit who have dedicated their heart and soul to improving the lives of our most underserved population.
I cannot think of another national non-profit that is so deserving of our support, our funds and our hearts. They truly live by these heartfelt words: USE YOUR POWER FOR GOOD.
This is an amazing charity organization. All I have to do is open up a new tab, and I can donate my hearts gained by opening tabs to different organizations that will support water needs, the environment, human rights, health, and education. I have already had five of my friends join. Its free, simple, and all around awesome. It makes me feel like I am changing the world, and helping others one tab at a time. I have donated 2,476 hearts, and i'm hoping to reach 4000 in the next month. Tab for a cause is the best!!!
I have read so much about this organization and I think it's amazing and is doing tremendous work.
I have been working with this esteemed organization's administration and accounts department from last five years and as per my observations Save the Children is bringing positive change in the life's of many deprived communities focusing mainly on children's and mothers both in health and education sectors apart from regular programs Save also have its emergency response and have contributed in emergencies in Pakistan and all over the world. Above all it's programs the transparencies check and balance mechanism within the organization also gives credibility to it for eg such policies are implemented within organisation to curtail extra and unnecessary spending s and also look for value for money in every spending.
to cut it short Save the Children is one of the best leading humanitarian organization bringing change in many life's around the globe.
Save the Children has maintained its focus on the needs of children in real and desperate situations when the media has run out of steam when talking about Syria, Gaza, South Sudan and the like. In whatever situation they involve themselves, whether in UK or overseas, they aim to maintain high standards and integrity. I am also impressed with how they are at the forefront of finding new ways to develop their work through partnerships with the medical fraternity, developments in technology and understanding and engaging their supporters. They have enabled me to support their efforts in ways that use my strengths, time and interests. Their aim has always been to become redundant in this world. Impressive.
I am working at Save the Children. Aside from helping and creating a lasting ang positive change in the lives of children, I was also capacitated through training in helping children reach their potential especially to the far flung areas. I love working with Save the Children.
So grateful to be able to find organizations that do the work that enables children around the world to have a better life, or life at all. I am disabled and see the stories about so so many people, more than I can fathom, around the world, suffering from things I can not even imagine. So, I can't do much, but I can give money to those who can help, that I trust completely, and Save The Children is one of those. So thank you to them.
Anne Clare Keane
They do save the children in the most effective and ambitious way.
I have donated via Save The Children Australia after seeing the work they do in all parts of the world, and here in Australia.
There should be more like them!
Save the Children is a top-notch charity. It excels as an efficient organization that provides a significant percentage to actual programs for the betterment of lives in need. They are in the upper crust of charitable organizations in my opinion because of their focus on EDUCATION & SUSTAINABILITY as well as basic needs such as immunizations, food/clean water, resources and disaster relief. Their philosophy of providing training to ensure families and communities are able to sustain themselves to break the cycle of poverty is empowering and allows preparedness in the face of crisis. When I did my research a decade ago, I went with them as a well-run non-denominational charity with an effective approach and I'm happy to see they have been consistent in their integrity. A big THANK YOU always to the workers at my sponsored child's field office as well as those around the world. Thank you for your dedication, hard work and care.
These people are making a immense difference in the Syrian kids' lives.
I have been advising at Save the children for over three years, and I am constantly amazed at the work that the staff is doing, and how they conduct themselves. The atmosphere is very cooperative, and people genuinely believe in the cause. I am very glad that I have a role at Save the Children.
Our company, Tab for a Cause, looks for excellent charities to partner with and mobilize their audience toward giving. Save the Children has been an absolute joy to work with. Their programs are effective, they genuinely care, and always make sure their donations go to what's important. Save the Children truly is a great nonprofit!
