Review for Treatments For Epilepsy And Symptoms Of Slc13a5 Foundation, Menlo Park, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I support this foundation wholeheartedly. Kim Nye and her TESS Research Foundation tirelessly and joyously aim to make the seemingly impossible possible for kids and families living with SLC13A5. Their mission is to provide support, information, hope, and community to SLC13A5 families, to find treatments for the kids, and to ultimately find a cure. They are a vital, creative force for improving the lives of children born with this form of epilepsy by all means possible.

Review for Save the Children Federation, Inc., Fairfield, CT, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I’ve watched two little girls in Bangladesh grow to teenagers. Interactions with them and the organization’s worker bees have been amazing. I started with Save the Children because they are nondenominational and help entire communities without promoting a religious agenda. I will always be a part of this effective and loving organization.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

... make it as rich as it needs to be to help all the children in all the needy communities around the globe.

Review for The American Anti-Vivisection Society, Jenkintown, PA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I can't choose between the Education and the Alternatives Research efforts at AAVS when I try to determine which is my favorite, so I won't bother! They're both so effective in ending animal use in experimentation. I've been an AAVS donor for some years now, and I find the ethics, mission, strategies, and compassion of AAVS to be authentic and stellar. And as an example of their dedication to their cause, Sue Leary, AAVS president, once helped me when I called AAVS hoping they would be able to help me with an ethical quandary I faced to do with animals and experimentation. That speaks volumes for this group's commitment, and that's why I'm a supporter.
