Mission: To educate community on the effects of domestic violence.
Programs: Bexar county economic & cvommunity developmen ait & advance fundingt: 90,000 people received information on the prevention of domestic violence and 90,000 of those participated in workshops on domestic violence prevention. They also participated in and received information on the prevention and awareness of child abuse.
project advance grant: provided services to 62 people, who are 1st time offenders of domestic violence for purposes of diverting them into community education programming that builds skills for addressing problems and stress that lead to the commission of family violence. Case management services accompany this too.
elderly abuse program: 152 people have attended conferences, trainings, and workshops regarding elder domestic violence, prevention and intervention in this form of crime. We have also worked at building and effective community response to cases of domestic violence between elder intimate partners experience domestic violence.
