My nephew has ALS. When his disease began to progress to the point where he needed a wheel chair and other assistive devices, we were very pleased to learn that Project MEND could help him to get the items he needed.
The staff of Project MEND is outstanding!. Their concern for my nephew and their responsiveness is what sets them apart from other organizations that have been set up to help the physically challenged.
The speed with which they meet his needs and the fact that they make it their number one priority to serve the disabled public with a minimum of hassle is astounding.
That is why I support Project MEND and encourage others to do so.

Mission: Project mend is committed to improving the lives of individuals living with disabilities and illness through the refurbishment, reuse and distribution of medical equipment and other assistive technology.
Programs: The organization refurbished approximately 3890 pieces of donated medical equipment. The organization issued approximately 3055 pieces of medical equipment to 1263 individuals, and provided financial assistance to 210 individuals living with disabilities and/or illness for the purchase of assistive technology devices.
