Mission: The mission is to help eliminate socioeconomic disparities in the african american community by promoting education vocational skills and entrepreneurship among youths ages 15 to 25.
Programs: Peep awarded $5,375 in scholarships to several local students in 2013. The students were chosen after the peep scholarship selection committee carefully reviewed over 85 applications.
for the fourth year, the annual peep luncheon put over 200 charlotte-mecklenburg high school students face to face with professionals and entrepreneurs for an afternoon of enlightening conversations about education, careers and entrepreneurship. Students had the opportunity to chat freely with successful, caring adults and were exposed to many opportunities, career paths and skill sets.
